[PP-F6] The Bout with the Amazons (Shirosu) [COMPLETE]

"Oh I know. You imagine hand holding and small talk, not getting stalked by psychopathic murderers" I said with an evil smile, causing Lyra to wimper again. She was still holding Shirosu, who I could tell wasn't a huge fan but let it happen anyway. I saw Gin pop out from the front of her shirt and climb back up on her shoulder. That's where she put him? Couldn't miss my chance. "You stick him down your shirt? Haha. Good thing he's not a naughty fox right?" I'd seen girls putting phones there, but never animals. Her nonchalant humor spread to all her actions. I turned my attention back to the road ahead. I heard something from behind but didn't think to turn around. Just a falling branch, nothing to worry about. Lyra had calmed down a bit. Not to the point where I could grill her, but there was another question I wanted to ask her. "Hey Lyra, what are you traveling to this other town for anyway?" She turned to look at me, staring blankly for a few seconds. She looked to the ground when she answered, "I'm uhh, sorry, but I can't say. Don't be mad." Don't be mad? Who was this girl. Her borderline fitness model-body builder frame did not match her actions. Because of her personality, her presence shrank to smaller than that of Shirosu. Something was seriously wrong here and I needed to figure out what. "Okay...then"

"Exactly!" Shirosu exclaimed, Lyra griped a little harder and she winched but remained calm and let the lady use her for security, if it kept her from panicking, then she was ok with it. When Koumori saw Gin pop out of her shirt she wasn't surprised when he had to make a comment about it, she calmly replied with a hint of a smile,"Ahhh, but you see, girls literally stuff anything they need to hide down their, good concealment spot seeing as no one wants to look, but for Gin's case he wraps himself around my waist and acts like a heated belt" She also heard the falling branch, and wasn't worried about what was behind, more about what was in front. Shirosu was intrigued when Lyra said she couldn't tell them why they were escorting her, every thing was confusing so she focused on the task at hand,get through the forest alive.

Shirosu whole heartidly agreed with my description of a true walk though the woods. She also responded totally honestly to my comment about Gin. Fair enough answer, but she was wrong about one thing. "Oh contraire, mademoiselle. Lots of people want to look there" I said pointing and smiling. She knew what I meant. One more thing to add. "At least they would, if I wasn't here that is hehe" Every conversation was 100,000 times more fun with her than any of my other friends. Sure I could joke around with them sometimes, but we were in sync. When we were out of this forest and safe in the town I only imagined what havoc we'd wreak with the amazons over there. After a fair bit more walking, I realized I should've paid attention to that falling branch. I heard abrupt rustling behind us then I felt feet land on my shoulder. I was knocked down to the ground and my assailant leaped off of me. I quickly jumped up and spun around to face him, my sword already drawn. There were three of them, all men, wearing black. These were definitely the ones responsible for all the dissapearances and our trap. Lyra had taken to cowering behind Shirosu and I, who had formed a wall in front of her. We were ready for battle, but the man in the middle spoke. "Well, well, well look what we have here. You've finally showed yourself, and you have protection too! Ha! We had no idea you were this pathetic, daughter of Athena." That word sent a chill down my spin. Athena, the Greek goddess. Lyra was a demigod at least. That made her basically like a princess. But wait, if her mother was Athena, is that who we were talking to earlier? This went way deeper than I thought. I turned around to look at Lyra, she had a look of pure shock on her face. She didn't seem to be expecting this, but now everything made sense. These men must've heard that Lyra was traveling trough the woods and they had been waiting in the woods attacking any woman they saw with the hope of catching her. All of my suspisions had been evaporated. Well, this was a good quest. I turned back to the men and angrily shouted. "What do you want with her!" He smiled at me, "Simple, we want to kill her" It sounded like it would come down to us fighting them. Suddenly, I didn't like our chances.

"Yikes, you must know alot of people who have a whole wack of nerve or are all perverted" she said jokingly in response to looking down the shirt comment. When the bandits appeared, three men dressed in pure black, Shirosu reacted purely by nerve and threw herself in front of lyra he arms spread out protectively, her eyes set in a dangerous glare. where they the ones who made the sound earlier? she thought to herself, dammit! she should've payed more attention. When they called her a daughter of Athena Shriosu blinked in shock, Shirosu didn't move but glanced at Lyra out of the corner of her eye who didn't seem to be denying it. "what the hell kinda quest did we stumble upon?" she muttered looking over at Koumori as he addressed the bandits, who seemingly wanted to kill Lyra. When they said they wanted to kill lyra Shirosu made a sound akin to growling, she wasn't going to make the first move but she was ready to defend the women behind her, it was the quest after all.

Shirosu seemed as shocked and surprised as I was. She definitely wasn't expecting this turn of events either. She looked to me and whispered something to my ear. "I don't know. But we might've bit off more than we can chew." I was seriously worried about our chances, not because I didn't think we could beat them, but because we had to protect Lyra as well. That had to be a way to turn this in our favor. Might as well stall for time. "Why do you want to kill her? What has she done?" The leader smiled once more before speaking. "Oh she's done nothing. But we can't have the illegitimate children of that slutty God running around, it upsets the balance." I can't say I was surprised by what he said, nothing would surprise me anymore. But then something happened. I heard more sobs come from behind me. I looked to see Lyra stifling back tears, "Don't..don't insult my mother" she said sheepishly. They had clearly struck a nerve. But that gave me an idea. It had to work. "Lyra, we need you help." I said to her. "What?" She looked up at me with glassy eyes. "Without you we can't beat these guys. Take that sadness and turn it into anger. You can do it. Dont you want to honor your mother?" She looked back down and took a deep sniff, "Okay, I'll try." I motioned for Shirosu to back up so we could give her space. She hunched over and took deep breaths. She pumped her fists towards the ground and let out the loudest, most earth shattering scream I had ever heard. Before I could react, she leaped through the air and landed right in front of the first man. He swung his sword at her but she caught it like it was nothing. She quickly brought down her left fist and delivered a devastating blow to the man's stomach. As he brought his head down as an involuntary reaction, she shot up her knee and blasted him in the face. The man fell backwards on the ground as the two other man ran towards her. The one who approached from the right was greeted by a leg sweeping down and taking him out by the ankles, sending him tumbling to the ground. Almost instantly she grabbed the other man by the neck and lifted him up in the air. She lifted him as high as she could and threw him down to the earth with an amazing thud. It wasn't over yet though. The second man she attacked began to stir, and she wasn't having it. Without standing from her kneel, she threw all of her body weight backwards and driver her arm right into the man's attack. Shirosu and I were still standing there in shock, we hadn't moved an inch. Lyra slowly stood up and stared towards the ground before she dropped back to her knees and cryer into her hands. I simply couldn't believe what I had just seen. She was like a total monster. I looked over to Shirosu with my eyes still wide "Holy s***". Finally snapping out of it I ran over to where the battle took place. I looked down at the men: they were all out cold, practically not even breathing. It's a good thing this Amazon NPC was on our side. I would hate to be on the receiving end of her wrath. Anyway, this was no time for jokes. Shirosu came over as well and I looked to her, "Looks like this problem has been solved. Let's go see how she's doing"

Shirosu stood stock still in shock when the Lyra, the demi god, destroyed the men, she could only watch in awe as she felled all three in a minimal amount of time."Holly s*** is right Koumori, this my friend, is a warrior" shell shocked for a few seconds she snapped herself out of and walked over to Lyra,pointedly ignoring the men, they were lowlifes she really didn't care about right now.  Stepping lightly she walked over and putting a hesitant had on the women Shirosu asked "are you ok?" she didn't expect a reply or need one, but she knew those three words were often comforting to someone. Gin leaned forward on Shirosu's shoulder and touched their nose Lyras arm before retreating back to Shirosu's neck.

Shirosu went over to Lyra to attempt to comfort her again, but it didn't seem to do much good. I got up from where I was examining the men and walked over to the girls. I kneeled down and placed my hand gingerly on her other shoulder. "Hey, you did great. Really." I said smiling. Lyra took one last sniff and looked up at me. She choked on her words as she tried to speak. "I-I'm sorry I was *sniff* mean to you e-earlier. The daughter of a *sniff sniff* of a God is supposed to be tough, but I'm just a...coward. I have to fake it in front of everyone, but I always cry when I'm alone. It's too much pressure. When you two were in d-d-danger I was so scared *sniff*. And what those men said, it just-it just, everything came out at once. I can't believe what I've just done!" She broke into tears again and clinger to me. She didn't squeeze me like she had before, she felt limp. I returned her hug and spoke softly, "I understand. It must be hard on you. But that was amazing. We all could've died if you hadn't done something. You really are brave, and a warrior." It felt odd getting so sentimental and mushy with an NPC. I didn't know why I was doing it, but the whole thing felt to real that it just came naturally. She looked up from my chest "Thank you, nii-san. I'll try." I let her stay like that for awhile before I talked to Shirosu again. I craned my neck to look at her, "Can you stay here with her, I'll go find something to tie those guys up with." Did I even need to tie them up? They were only NPCs, it's not like they were going anywhere. Ehh, I didn't care. We had to spend our lives in here, I want going to treat this like a game where the bad guys evaporate (although even in here the bad guys literally did evaporate). I'd do it anyway. I heard some rustling and looked back down at Lyra, she had pulled out a rope and was holding it up for me. "You can use this" she said. "You had a rope this whole time!!" I stood up and took it out of her hand. Why hadn't she used that when we were in the hole? Arg, so much for AI. I walked back over to the men so that I could tie them up while I yelled back at Shirosu, "You can never find things when you need them, huh" I got to work securing the thugs, while Shirosu stayed and spoke to Lyra, I dragged them one by one to a large tree and tightly tied them to it. When I was done I brushed off my hands and went to collect the two girls. "Town shouldn't be too far. We should get there in less than half an hour if we hurry. I don't want to run into any of their friends"

When Shirosu saw that Lyra had a rope she gave herself a face palm,"yup she's an NPC alright, and its the truth!" she said to Koumori "Its like socks, their all over the place, and matching, but the moment you need a matching pair boom! not a single matching pair around"  when Koumori was done tying up the men Shirosu became excited to hear it was only about a half hour to the next town, as much fun as she'd had on this trip she was excited to get back to civilization, where there was food, and warmth, and her shop, oh was she missing her cozy little shop right now, even if the place was a mess, it was still home. "lets go! i'm excited to go get some food and coffee" Shirosu started off down the trail, pausing to wait for her two companions while Gin played in her hair, blending in quite well.

"I can't tell you how many looks I got from wearing one knee sock and one ankle sock. You rock at laundry mom." I said back to her before we left. It wasn't only socks that I couldn't find. Clean underwear always seemed to allude me too. She perked up when I mentioned the distance from the town, running ahead of us and pining for food. I chuckled a bit as I help Lyra up and moved along our path. "Hey to make up for this awful first date we can drink it out of one of those fancy two person straws! Lyra can even join in too if she wants" Now that all the danger had seemingly vanished, I felt we should try and lighten the situation. And with this girl that wouldn't be a problem. We walked together for a little while before the town finally came into view, the lights the first thing that caught our attention. My stomach was starting to growl as well, so I was anxious to hear the explanation, end the quest, and get some food. Hopefully they'd have accommodations for us. It was probably approaching midnight.

"Its even better when you wear leggings and you have one knee high and one ankle, the looks are always quite the blast"  When the town came into view Shirosu was itching to run to it but held herself back in order to be a proper escort and to reply to Koumori," Yeah, isn't this the date of the year, imagine telling your kids what your first date was like, "we fell down a 40ft hole escorting a daughter of Athena", they would never believe you, oh and i'm fine with the two person straws as long as you don't smear you cooties all over my half and their curly"  When they entered the town Shirosu sighed with relief and looked for the NPC that was probably Lyra's sister, hoping to get this quest done with so that she could enjoy the rest of her night and relax. The food smells that wafted around were enough to make Shirous mouth water and once again she found it hard not to drift in the direction the sent was coming from.

"Well that settles it then but I'll have you know I'm perfectly cootie free. Just you don't get any funny ideas, missy." I said as I playfully jabbed her on the shoulder and suggestively moved my eyebrows. "And if the straw isn't curly then it's not a true straw. We'll leave and lodge a formal complaint!" I stomped my foot on the ground at the end of that. By that time we had reached the town. It was surrounded by a huge wall made of oak tree trunks. The front gate was left open and I single figure stood in the opening. As we approached I could see her lighten up when she recognized Lyra. She ran forward to give the girl a hug when we were almost spin her. I gave the two some room and examined the new Amazon. She was similarly tall and beefy, but not nearly as much as Athena. If I had to guess she was probably only 6 feet tall. She was wearing casual clothes, clearly not planning to go anywhere. They ended their embrace and the woman turned to Shirosu and I. "Thank you two for bringing Lyra to us safely. But I'm afraid that you have been slightly mislead. You see..." I cut the woman off as I knew what she was about to say. "It's okay, we know she's Athena's daughter. We were ambushed and everything came out. I assume you're not her servant either." The woman's expression quickly turned to shock but just as fast went to relief. "Thank the heavens you all are okay. You're knowing makes my job of explaining either. You see, back in the main city, a group had formed that is vdry opposed to the copulation between gods and humans. It was determined by Athena herself that her daughter should be removed from harms way until the dispute could be resolved. We were foolish not to connect the incidents in the forest with the happenings of the story. I must apologize for putting you through such danger." She paused and took a bow before she shot back up. "Forgive me for I seem to have forgotten to introduce myself. I am  Delia, humble servant of Athena. Now if you may, I will be taking Lyra to her temporary lodgings. For now I'm sure you two must be hungry. Please feel free to eat to your hearts content at the building behind me. Once you are done you will be shown to your rooms." Seemed like a pretty good deal to me. I'm sure Shirosu would be pleased as well. "Thank you very much, we'll do that." Lyra stepped forward from behind Delia and talked for the first time in awhile. "Thank you for protecting me. I feel faint so I'll be going to bed now. I'll thank you properly in the morning." After that the two Amazon women bowed again and left Shirosu and I to ourselves. "Alright let's go! Haven't you learned to not keep a lady waiting...wait, no that's not right." We quickly walked to the building and bounded up the steps. I reached out and opened the door for Shirosu to step through. I followed her inside and was greeted by what I could only describe as a tavern, but a very Greek, very nice one. There were no customers inside so we took a seat at the nearest table. I picked up the menu and gazed through it briefly, surprised to find all sorts of things on the menu. I placed it back down and turned to the waitress that had already appeared. "My sister and I will have a coffee please. Just one. And could you put a nice two person curly straw in it? And I'll have the special for a meal, what about you darling sister"

Shirosu watched as Delia, the women who had received them at the city gates, set about on an explanation of what had happened in the city and who they had to remove Lyra for fear of her life. She seemed schoked that they new Lyras identity but quickly became relieved because of it.  at the words "eat to your hearts content" Shirosu's eyes widened and her mouth watered, food sounded really, really amazing right now, and she couldn't wait to get her mouth on some. Shirosu had enough of a mind to notice when Koumori accidentally called himself a lady, but otherwise her mind was focused on food, a pretty good reward for a job well done in her books. She sat herself at the table in the beautiful greek style pub which was unsurprisingly empty, when she was handed the menu she looked through and decided she would get the special too. When Koumori called her his "sister" Shirosu froze, slowly looked over at him, then gave him a good punch in the shoulder before turning to the waitress and playing along said, " I will also, have the special" when the waitress left she turned to Koumori and glaring at him said,"Sister eh? well if we continue this i guess my "brother" will be paying for supper next time when the food isn't free"  Gin hoped onto the table and opened his mouth wide,"I promise i will share my food ok Gin? so you wont starve" she laughed as the tiny pink maw opened and closed a few more times, demanding food.

Shirosu gave me a good punch on the shoulder when I called her my sister, but she played along with it anyway. When the waitress left she told me I'd be paying for our next meal. I returned the favor with a light punch on her shoulder, "No problem. I owe you one anyway, if you hadn't said hi to me earlier we never would've found out how perfect we are together. Our other friends are really gonna love us I can already see it." I couldn't help but loudly laugh yet again. Boy that was some adventure we had today. When I composed myself I looked over and saw her little fox practically licking its lips and lost it again. After a few seconds I calmed down again. "Haha, too cute." I liked her familiar much better than all the other ones I had seen so far. And Gin was the only one that actually seemed to like me in return. In no time at all the waitress returned to our table with our plates in hand. She set them down in front of us and bowed. "When you finish we'll bring your desserts and drink" and with that she left. I looked down at my meal, which turned out to be fire roasted ham, and my mouth started to water. Before I began to eat I extended my fist to Shirosu for a fist bump and said "Good work today. Now let's dig in."

"Good, its always good to know someone who owes you something, awesome blackmail material" she didn't really mean it, but she always found the thought amusing, thinking of all the awkward situation you could put said person in. "Ha!" she exclaimed in response to the other friends comment," The moment my guild finds out i'm hanging out with you i swear Mack is gonna disown me" she was probably wrong but it was pretty daunting to think about what Mack would think of this if he ever found out,"Oh well i deal with it when it happens" when Koumori called Gin cute she pointed and exclaimed," I will convert you into familiar culture! learn the joy of an adorable fluffy thing!" then she raised her eye brows and said, "Found him in the forests of the second floor, some sort of quest i believe, mother led me to him, should check to see if there was a respawn" she wiggled her eye brows but when the food came around she forgot about it and returning Koumori's fit bump with out looking and with perfect aim Shirosu dug in to the meal, tossing a little in Gins direction and supplying him with a morsel more after he finished the first, second, third and so forth. He let her know when he was done because he would open his mouth wide like  a baby bird and squeak until more food was presented. After polishing off her food, which had been amazing, Shirosu leaned back and gave Gin the plate to lick clean seeing as he enjoyed it so much, his full belly rounding out with food. "That hit the spot" she sighed petting her fox absently.

"Hey what do you plan on doing to me? I don't like that look on your face." I said smiling at her. She got a kick out of thinking of what Mack's reaction to our friendship would be. I had an answer for that. "If he gives you and problems I'll back you up. If worst comes to worst we can do a ball tapping double team on him" I said laughing at the glorious thought. She then started telling me about where she found Gin, trying to convert me to a familiar owner. "I appreciate the offer but like I said I'm okay without a familiar. I can just make Gin my familiar by proxy. You like me right?" I said as I reached my hand out to pat him. When our food came Shirosu expertly answered my offer for a fist bump and dug in. We wolfed down our food and were finished in no time. We leaned back in our chairs, totally satisfied. "Yeah it did" The waitress came back with our coffee, just a single cup with a double straw. I was actually surprised they could fulfil that request. She left it on the table and walked away. How this turned out would be our next comedic escapade. But, I'd let her make the first move. If we did it it would have to be up to her not me. i looked over at Shirosu and waited for her to say something.

"Fine familiar by proxy will have to do" she laughed, knowing her feeble attempt had failed, oh well, it was worth the shot. When the waitress actually came back with a coffee and a double person curly straw, she stared at it in awe for a few seconds before she nonchalantly grabbed the end that was closer to her and took a long swig. "This is literally the best straw ever, Would totally be the perfect thing for a romantic couple, though" she studied the coffee, "Its weird drinking a hot caffeinated drink out of a straw" Gin leaned into Koumori's hand as he was pet, he even licked Koumori's finger tips, the little glutton started acting more like a cat by he second, especially when he licked his paws clean. ," Like i said, as long as you don't touch side side of the straw, i don't touch yours." Shirosu was also pumped for dessert, even though she was full she had a second stomach dedicated to dessert, and dessert only.

Gin leaned forward into my hand and started licking my fingers, cementing the fact that it liked me. Shirosu was in awe of the the straw as it arrived, immediatly commented on it. "What? I thought we were madly in love? Did what happened in the hole mean nothing to you?" I said stumbling over my words trying not to laugh. It was a good thing no one was there to hear us. She took her first sip and confirmed it was okay for me and go ahead to take mine. It dawned at me that there was no real saliva or germs in this game, so I realized any possibility of an "indirect kiss" was rendered mute. There really weren't any actual problems with it, other than how it looked. That obviously wasn't an issue. But still weird nonetheless. "You got it boss." Before I drank I muttered under my breath "the things I'll do for a joke." I leaned over an out my mouth on my side of the straw. She was right, it was strange drinking coffee this way but it was still very good. "Hey that was actually really good. Hit the spot."

(you can bring out the desserts. I got the meal, so Shirosu can pick what she likes :D)

"Dawww sweetie!" she said in mock regret, "I could never forget what transpired between us, it was truly magical" Her grin and giggling ruined the sentence but it was the thought non the less. She was grateful that their was no one here to ease drop or the wrong impression would most definitely imprinted on them. Finally content Gin wandered back over to Shirosu and fell asleep draped around her neck, all three tails swaying intently. Once they had finished the coffee, which still felt really weird from a straw, oh well life experiences, Shirosu was ready for her final piece of the evening, the dessert. The waitress didn't let down either, two beautiful pieces of apple pie were brought out with a scoop of ice cream on the side. with a small "Thanks" to the NPC Shirosu quickly ploughed through hers before reaching over with her fork in an attempt to steal some of Koumori's dessert,

Hahaha Shirosu didn't disappoint as usual. Outwardly we'd almost appear like a perfect couple, if it weren't for all the laughing. Eventually we finished the coffee, taking turns sipping it from our straw. No sooner than we were done did the waitress come back yet again, this time with our desserts: Apple pie. I hadn't had that many times in my life, but i remembered it being delicious. Shirosu wasted no time annihilating hers, she must've really loved it. She even reached over her fork in an attempt to steal some of mine. I didn't attempt to block her. "Alright, but just one." We were both finished in no time and I was the first to stand up. I began to instinctively get ready to pay but I stopped and realized our meal was on the house. "Let's find who's suppose to take us to the inn." We walked over to the exit and opened the door to be greeted by yet another woman. "I hope you enjoyed your meal, please follow me I will take you to your room." We set out following the tall woman, I took the opportunity to look around the town as we walked. I saw a group of armored warriors running into the forest. They were probably dispatched to collect the men we left and search the forest. Wow this quest really didn't spare any expense. Almost too realistic. The inn was practically around the corner so it only took a few minutes to reach it. When we got inside the woman walked around the counter and produced two keys, handing them to us. "Please enjoy your stay"

Shirosu was thrilled when she got the extra bite out of Koumori's pie, savoring the final morsel of cinnamon ,apply goodness. She got up and stretched, feeling content and laden with food and most definitely ready to hit the hay, her eye lids feeling heavy. With the meal on the house and no need to pay Shirosu felt almost a little guilty but reassured herself it was payment and not to fret. She followed Koumori and a new NPC lady out of the restaurant, noticing the group of armored women who she guessed where going to retrieve the bandits, who she hoped would be digitally "Jailed". When she entered the cozy inn she felt her eyes starting to droop right from the moment she was the keys. With a large yawn Shirosu accepted one of the keys and said to Koumori with another yawn, "I'v laughed, had fun, eaten and now i get a nice cozy bed? pretty good day if you ask me, so without further delay i'm going to to curl up in bed and pass out ok?" with that she wandered to her room opened the door to revel a beautiful bed with soft looking comforters and fluffy pillows, "Night, see you in the morning" she called over her shoulder before entering the room and closing the door. Stumbling over to her bed Shirosu flopped into it, had enough mind to change into some sweats and a t she had crafted before hand, then passed out, Gin curling up next to her neck, imitating a cat purr he had heard. 

(she is done XD too long of a day for her, she needs a round 8 hours to function haha)
