Tristan nodded with a smile, saying "You're doing great, don't you worry. Take some time to heal up and relax, I'll make sure to keep the focus on me.". True to his word, Tristan used Howl so again, the roar akin to a dragon booming from his mouth and drawing attention to himself. The boss looked like it wanted to attack, but was taken too aback by the Howl to make a move. Tristan grinned, taking satisfaction in this and readying himself for the next attack from the boss and protecting Flints from the Iron Guardian's attacks.

Flints stood back and watched Tristan use howl. The loud boom traveled throughout the area, she felt it deep within herself and she closed her eyes tightly in response. When she opened them again she looked up at the large Guardian who was obviously stunned by Tristan's howl as well. She looked over at the red haired man and giggled at his triumphant stance. At least she knew she wouldnt have to worry about being attacked while Tristan was on duty.

Tristan was again attacked with a powerful swing from the iron guardian, strong enough to end Flint's life twice over, however Tristan blocked it with his shield and sighed as he knew he was just too strong for this enemy. The Iron Guardian staggered as they were set alight by the Flame Thorns, to which Tristan jumped in to the offensive and used Triple Barrage again to damage the enemy. The foe fell backwards from the force of the attack as they took further damage, then Tristan relaxed his stance.

Flints' body had finally relaxed from the edge she had been on since the combat had begun, she didn't know how Tristan fought, what he was like in person. She only had rumors to go off of, she watched him nonchalantly cast aside most of the guardian's attacks. And sighed. She had never seen a tank as strong as Tristan. He was what kept her alive in this battle. She couldn't help but look over at him in awe, she wished to be so strong. She let her mind wonder a little aimlessly as she waited to be able to attack again, as silly as it sounded she thought a break from all this action was more than a bit welcome. She didn't mind watching Tristan, he was certainly in his element.

Tristan waited for the next attack from the Iron Guardian which continued their assault on Tristan, albeit wasting their time since there was nothing within the boss' power that could hurt Tristan. After blocking the attack, he turned to Flints and grabbed one the basic health potions and went to where she was and looked her straight in the eye as he placed the potion above her chest. The potion dissolved into her body and made a faint aura around where he had placed his hands on her, meanwhile saying "Remember Flints, I don't want you dying on me ever. I'll make sure of that.". She went back to full health and Tristan gave a gentle smile at her, then raised his shield again to protect her from any tanks.

Flints watched Tristan a little shocked at his sudden closeness, before she could start to growl in defense she felt the potion Tristan pressed into her and blushed at his sudden action. His smile further instilled his actions as she starred blankly at him, reddening even more so. "Wh-why.." She shook her head and attempted to attack the guardian, she began her furious little dance of claws and fists only to miss. She starred at the ground then back up at Tristan. "I blame you for that." She huffed.

Tristan chuckled as the boss backed up, probably in fear of attacking Tristan because doing so would just hurt the boss again. Tristan thought for a moment and took out a cup of tea, which he then smashed in his hands and sent the aura to Flints instead of having her drink it. One, because it would be weird to force drink someone some tea. And two, it meant they wouldn't have to make them drink tea which they might not like. "That better?" he said with a smile.

Flints looked a little shocked at the aura as it surrounded her but once she relized what it did she smiled wickedly, ready to attack again. She couldn't help but start wondering if Tristan was always this...sweet..to everyone, in the midst of her thoughts she missed. Again. She angrily snapped at the guardian and Tristan in vain, looking for someone to blame other than herself. "Ah! Why can't you just stay still!" She growled at the guardian, reaching out in quick clawing motions and missing as it easily dodged her desperate attempts to land at least one blow.

Tristan shrugged to what Flints had exclaimed, saying "I don't know, though I can hope it works better for me.". The Iron Guardian ran towards Tristan with a swing of their sword, but Tristan raised his shield and stopped the blow from the Guardian, then used the opening given to attack his opponent with a counter attack. The Triple Barrage activated with three thrusts at the boss, the spearhead slamming into the knights armour and Tristan grinning in satisfaction from the attack. "Let's keep this up Flints." he said with a gentle voice as he waited for Flints to attack.

Flints watched as the two locked into combat once again, the heavy sounds of Tristan's spear thrusting into the guardian vigorously fueled Flints to try again, she waited too long for them to break apart and as she tried to get the Guardian's attention with quick punches she missed again, as he easily casted her aside and focused on Tristan thanks to his howl. Flints looked down at her fists and clenched them tighter, barring her teeth at how stupidly off her aim was getting. Maybe she was nervous again. Whatever it was she needed to swallow her pride and try her best, if not for herself but for Tristan.

Tristan could see the frustration in Flints, putting an arm on her shoulder and saying "Don't beat yourself up over it. I'm not concerned about how long this takes, so long as you make it out of this quest safe.". He would of spoken more, but a sword was flying his way, ready to cut him apart. The sword landed however on his shield and clanged back harmlessly, to which Tristan said "Well that wasn't very nice, was it?" and dashed forward at Iron Guardian with another attack of Triple Barrage.

Flints blushed and looked up at Tristan with her big, green eyes, she felt a little less terrible but was out of energy so didn't whine all too much. "Well thank you. I'm glad we decided to go through with this together, I felt more like a burden at first. And didn't know how this was going to go.. But you're very welcome company.." She flinched when the sword came at Tristan, half expecting him to cry out in pain but was instead greeted by the sound of metal against metal and Tristan's  triple barrage. "He's got this..we're so close.." She thought to herself.

Tristan smile at Flints, saying "Don't worry, I never went into these battles worrying for you, since I plan everything out before I take action. But beyond all, I have enjoyed your company in this. Mostly your tenacity and drive to continue even in the face of overwhelming odds beyond players such as yourself. It is really commendable, since most would turn tail or call it ludicrous, but you stuck with it and trusted absolute in me, which means a lot.". The boss seemed to be too busy reeling from earlier, which Tristan took advantage of to attack the boss again with his sword art.

Flints became more and more flustered as Tristan spoke, his words seemed genuine and that was something she liked. She shifted a little uncomfortably in her spot and tried her best to come up with words to explain just how much it meant to her that he even considered taking her along. She smiled sweetly as she spoke, "I think we should take on many more enemies together!" She was a little shocked at her own words by stood true to them. She wouldn't mind getting to know Tristan better, he was a mystery to her. she watched as the guardian snarled at his attacks. She giggled and thought to herself, "at least in not the only one who feels useless in this battle."

Tristan chuckled and smiled to what she said, responding with "That sounds like a great idea, let us do that.". His voice was calm and relaxed, despite the presence of a boss there. Tristan was suddenly attacked by the boss with several sword slashes, which deflected Tristans own spear thrusts from his own attack, making them exchange blows with only energy wasted. He took a deep breath and relaxed his stance, waiting for the boss attack after they exchanged parrying blows with no result from either end.

Flints winced at the two exchanging blows, they both missed their marks but it was still a sight to see. She quickly ran out to the guardian and sent a furious strike to its flank. She grinned as soon as her fist hit its mark, proud that after all the evading it had done she was able to land at least one blow. When they parted she made her way behind Tristan, panting and waiting for their next move. "Hopfully this thing goes down soon, I'm getting tired of looking at it.." She growled, watching the guardian ready itself for an attack. "And it's settled then Tristan. Let's have many more of these adventures!" She smiled at him hoping her nerves would calm, surprisingly it wasn't from the battle itself.

Tristan smiled and nodded to her statement. He had to think some more about what exactly she meant, but he was a bit focused on the fight in front of them to worry too much about the details of what she said. Tristan ran forward toward the tank with a shield charge, spear pressed against shield. The Iron Guardian came down with a vertical cut which slammed into the shield and unleashed a burst of flames in retaliation, to which then Tristan responded with his own counter attack now that they left themselves open. He smiled, this fight was a bit lengthy because of his low damage output but he still did well with it and Flints was unharmed by their sword attacks. Plus Flints still had the health potion he gave her in case they needed, along with the several others he owned.

Flints tensed at the clashing of the two, even at its best the guardian was no match for Tristan. Its attempts to over power the player were futile, yet with each strike she couldn't help but worry it get the best of him, Flints shook her head at the silly thought. At this point it was nearly impossible. The Guardian's health was nearly nothing and that was a huge relief to her, she made a mental note to buy potions and things for her stamina once all this was over and she got back in town. Dispite it's low health Flints stil considered that if it wasn't for Tristan, one wrong move the guardian would claim her life. "I really need to thank him after all this.." She thought to herself idly.

Tristan also thought about restocking on some supplies before they meet the broker, as it seemed like a good time to do so. After all he wasn't sure what to expect from the broker NPC, especially as friends of him have told him that the quest will have them fight the NPC. Tristan charged again at the enemy, but all that happened was that their weapons clashed again and no hits were scored on either of them, which left him a bit disappointed, as he hoping to get some more damage in. He sighed, but continued on.

Flints sighed at the battle, she started to think about how she really needed to buckle down if she was going to be a great player, which meant relying less on everyone to protect her while she waited for regen. The idea of having to be protected rather than protecting was odd. She watched as the two continued to give it their all but they were both at odds as they missed eachother, she wondered if it frustrated Tristan as much as it did her when she missed. Flints gritted her teeth and clenched her fists tightly, feeling the familiar clink of the claws wild dance provided. She prepared herself to attack, hopfully it wasn't in vain.
