Ethereal glanced down at his interface, it pulsated a few times as he tapped the boxes once or twice. Nodding, he returns his gaze to the cave before him - pitch black and right where it should be. Exactly as his infomation-broker had said, this should be an easy lot of SP. Raising his head to the sky one last time he took a large breath in. He knew from much experience that underground air felt as if stale cheese had been left in there for a few thousand years. Best make the most of this spring sunshine and light while he could - this should be over quickly but anything could happen.

Word spread fast about new quests. An Information Broker from a small guild managed to find out about a secret respawning boss on Floor Four. Apparently, a small party told her how they managed to break through enough <<Ice Elementals>> that spawn around the Tundra to spawn this huge behemoth of a mob. The hidden Field Boss takes the form of a huge <<Ice Elemental>> known by the fond nickname of <<Avalanche>>, turned out to be a real challenge for the low leveled party and once they defeated it, it dropped a powerful Alchemical Concoction.

    Battle: 9 (Crit!)

A muffled battlecry could be heard from the other side of the heavy door, before a crashing could be heard. Eth comes barreling through into the storefront, shouting at the top of his lungs "I FOUND YOU!" The swordsman jumps up into the air, bringing his huge greatsword down onto the counter with a loud CRACK, embedding it into the wood. Leaning forwards so he was face to face with his friend, Ethereal grins. "You thought you could hide your shop from me?! Think again buddy! I want a crafting attempts item, got it?"

  4. Ethereal was doing what he usually does in a safe zone - messing around. Jumping from roof to roof, he vaulted over the crowds below before landing lightly several meters from the ledge on the other side. Athletics was really useful, he had to admit - it gave multiplied physical ability that assisted in tasks such as this. As Eth began building up speed to clear the next street, the swordsman skidded to a halt in his tracks. Before him had appeared a young child, pasty white and gazing at him with eyes like midnight. 'What do you want..?' the Blade pondered, following her eyesight to the street below. As he did, a lean man wearing a greatcoat slipped a gold trinket from a player's store into a side pocket. Frowning, Ethereal immediately leaped from the side of the building and did a breakfall when he hit the cobbles. NPCs and players scattered as he regained his feet - "You! Return what you stole in the name of the Knights of the Blood Oath!" It wasn't normally guild business to do things such as this but when his Unique Skill flagged someone it usually hinted something else was afoot.

There would be a scurrying now and again of small creatures, unseen in the shadows in the corner of their eyes. Ethereal glanced back at Mack as he raised the question of his joining of the Knights of the Blood. "Well, I was gone for so long that Square One faded into nothing so I needed a new guild. Square One was a good guild - I helped a lot of low level players when I was part of it.. Before that, though, I was the Raoul of the West of the Crimson Inquisition. Back then, I felt like I was making a difference, fighting for our freedom. So.. I guess I had enough of spending all my time helping people when I could be fighting. Guess that's why.." he ponders, returning his gaze to the front so he knew where he was going in the darkness.

  6. "Better believe I'm ready - I've been itching to get back into the action after all the crafting I've been doing." he chuckles, it was always fun to be with Nix. He knew how to talk to people, it was always an interesting conversation with him around. "I hope we're not going near where you first met me? We don't really want to do wandering that way..." the swordsman mutters on a slightly more serious note before shrugging it off. "Oh! have you met Argent yet?" Eth inquired quickly before whistling in a shrill tone. The sound of strong wingbeats and a flash of silver through the constant layer of ash clouds. Out of nowhere, a silver-white raven soars down at some speed from the sky, shrieking as with a final beat the bird perches on Ethereal's left shoulder. Smiling, the Fireheart strokes the beast's head affectionately.

  7. Ethereal shook his head in despair at how truly strange the situation had become. There was Nix and the other players chatting amongst themselves like nothing was happening and now Hydra seemed to be playing "unhinged" with Ranmura. "Christ, the hell is happening here..." the swordsman muttered as he stepped over to Ranmura and Hydra, stepping in between them. "Alright, alright. You're scaring the newbies. I think you should calm down a little, girl." The Blade gave the short girl a stern look, attempting to convey a 'Don't mess with me.' sort of message.

  8. Ethereal groans a little as he cracked his eyelids open a fraction raising his head a little, "G-.. Gesssssssss... Susssshiiii" As Hydra stared at the ceiling, the swordsman manages to fumble for the closest thing he could reach. It turned out to be a spoon for some reason - and then tossed it lightly at the spearman. "Nuuu.. Dunt diee.." Immediately after, he 'lowers' his head back onto the table with a loud SMACK. It looked like it hurt but Eth just closed his eyes and proceeded to start snoring lightly. Anyone could see that he was so out of it that he could probably not stand at this point.

Ethereal nodded at the mention of the gauntlets, placing the second lit torch on a sconce directly beside the exit so they may find it easily. "Let's get going then, shall we?" he muttered as he took a step inside of the the heavy doors, hanging off their hinges. Inside of the lair the air was thick and musty, as if someone had loaded up a small cupboard with old damp clothes and left them there for a year. Recoiling a little at the terrible stench, Ethereal made his way further in "Jesus, this place is a bigger tip than my room back in the real world." Eth quips as the two of them make their way down a stone-lined, dank corridor that looked like it'd drooped after years of neglect.

  10. Ethereal smiled as Macradon introduced him, "Heyo." He listened as Xion and Hakai conversed, talking about builds and crits. The swordsman recalled a time when he once had this exact same conversation with one of his old friends, frowning a little at himself before acting like it had never happened. After she stepped onto the teleporter, he would shrug at Xion. "Well. Let's go, shall we?" before stepping up and onto the teleporter himself, noting how long it had been since he was actually on floor two before this. The last time was months ago, duelling elves or something he found entertaining back then. 'Hmph.' he thinks a moment before stating his destination, "Floor Two."

  11. Suddenly, oranges were being flung at the assembled players from an unknown angle - most of them splatted against the cobbled street of Floor One. Every now and again, the flicker of a red cloak could be seen around a corner until eventually Eth sprung out of one. Grinning, he points at Nixon and Hydra "Ayyy I knew that was you two. Ho- Wait, oops. Sorry you two." he shrugs apologetically to Phillia and Barryt "I.. uh.. didn't see you two. My bad." The swordsman made his way over cautious of any return fire. "No harm done anyway, there's a fountain nearby you can clean up at."

  12. Ethereal barely listens to Mack, his blood rushing in anticipation of the battle that was so imminent. The words manage to penetrate through the growing lust for conflict. Gritting his teeth in a half-grin, the Fireheart holds his ground maintaining the defensive position he had taken up before the orders were issued. As he glared down the fallen angel, Eth notices one of the spirits that occasionally came to him. A small girl, stood beside Tagas gazing up at the monster in wonder - the smile slips slightly from the swordman's face until he realised exactly what he was looking at. 'It's just an AI. An NPC. It's not real.' the voice in his head says shakily, with the reply coming a second later. 'Would you save the girl even if she was "real"? I know you wouldn't.' which was promptly ignored.

  13. Ethereal chucked at the quip, "Damn straight Law. One is better than some, heh." He brushed past a few of the trees that were cropping up here and there as they came closer and closer to the forest. The huge collection of trees sprawled out before them, the canopy of layers and layers of dark leaves cast an almost pitch black shadow inside of the forest, speckles of light piercing through here and there. "I may be a little stronger but don't expect me to do all the heavy lifting - I'm just here to help." the emerald-eyed swordsman smirks as the group finally come to the treeline, stopping just before it. "Well, uh, we all set then? I've been here once before but it was a loooooong time ago. Honestly, I can't remember the route through the maze at all."

  14. Ethereal grinned in return to the blonde, "No worries my friend, I was just out shopping. Heh, I'm much better now - not lying in a muddy puddle at least. How about you, Nix?" As they walked, the swordsman listens closely to his answer. They cleared the outskirts of town quickly, the NPCs and players thinning out until finally the pair of warriors exit the outer perimeter. To Eth, Nixon held a special standing - he had saved his life when he was dying and alone on the wastelands of this floor. If he had died those who had perished at his side would never be avenged and he would have failed his last task. If he was going to fulfill his duty to those whom he lost, nothing else mattered. After Nixon had mentioned how he was doing, Ethereal asks curiously "So.. Where about's this bandit camp then, party leader?"

  16. Ethereal smiled as he turned back to the group, having dealt the finishing blow to the two mobs. Stepping over beside Mack, the swordsman brandishing his jagged black blade in the direction they expected Tagas to appear from. Eth began grinning like he was having the time of his life, eyes gleaming with barely contained eagerness and almost bloodlust. As Mack and Macradon made their way back slightly to access their Charge skill, the Fireheart held his ground gazing straight at where the enemy would finally be unchained and come roaring towards them. 'I've been waiting this for a while.' he thinks to himself gleefully, to which the reply came back from his other side 'We both have. Let's see what we can do. *chuckles*'.

  17. Ethereal plonks himself down on one of the scattered unoccupied seats around the tavern, gleefully watching the two familiars playing and running around the bar. Smiling as he did, the sound of his name snapped the swordsman back from his entertainment. Smiling, he gives a warm wave to Shizuka and a friendly "Hey there, I'm Eth. Nice to meet ya." After which he calls over one of the barkeeps for the strongest cider they had - Ethereal was more of a cider than an ale man. Standing after a moment, he grabs the cool glass of alcohol from the glossy bar and returns to his seat at the table setting it down.

  18. Ethereal was doing his usual shopping routine, browsing the various material vendors that gathered nearby his store. Perusing their wares, his eye catches on a rather nice high-quality material and as it does his screen flashes up with a PM. The swordsman taps it once, reading the contents before looking back at the mat. "Save that for me, I'll be back." he requests, tossing the man a small bag of Col. Making his way to the teleporter in the center of town, he steps quickly inside and states "Floor Nine." Enveloped in dazzling light, the man steps off the platform and surveys the area before him. It was easy to spot Nixon - they'd met a few times before and the blonde stood out quite a bit. "Hey Nix, good to see you." he greets his friend as he steps over to him.

  19. Ethereal was chilling out as you do, on top of one of the nearby buildings to where the group was standing. Lying prone, he would be staring down into the gutter of a rather large structure a few houses down from the group of players. Reaching down into it with his right hand, the alchemist attempts to retrieve a material he believed to be in there. As he did, a silver-white raven soars down and lands itself rather heavily on his head, prompting a grunt from the swordsman. "Dammit Argent, whatcha do that for?" he complains as he fumbles about for the item in vain. Sighing, the Blade rises to his feet carefully and surveys the land before him, spotting some fellow guildmates. With a smile he calls out and waves to them; "Hey guys!"

  20. A silver-white raven can be seen through the open wooden door into the tavern, the flash of a golden and red cloak every now and again. The cry would carry in the unique voice of Ethereal, "For f**k's sake Argent! Get down here you stupid bird. No, I don't care - you've been hiding away in the store long enough." Finally an exasperated sigh is heard along with the rap of shoes on stone as Eth steps up to and opens the door, looking over his shoulder as he did so. "Suit yourself Argent. Enjoy the cold out there." The swordsman shakes his head in dismay as he steps inside, immediately spotting the group of Blades and Knights chatting amongst themselves along with a small bear cub dashing about the place. With an apologetic smile he makes his way over, waving warmly as he did so, cape partially covering his medieval commoner-style apparel. "Hey everyone, sorry I'm a little late, heh." the bearded man offers while his head screams 'Did they hear you talking to your bloody familiar? Oh jeez, I am never gonna hear the end of this..
