  1. Beating his mallet against barricades, the iron nails driven into a panel that was since frozen closed to make a more permanent repair. "How much longer?" The smith would ask of the captain. A huff as he'd man handle another piece of complex into place, having to pay a glass knight an honest headbutt that makes his teeth grind together. It wasn't nearly as effective as a weapon but it did a fair enough job stunning his aggressor. The thing clatters to the floor before being ended rightly by the guardsman that surrounded him, jabbing it with spears and swords drawn. Shoving the panel in place with his massive shoulder, he'd pull at various rope and pull it tight. Binding it around standing columns, the thing sits pretty into the hole. A grunt, as he'd push two nails into his mouth and take a third in hand. A couple hammer blows starts to drive in the first.

  2. The last into the now explosive encounter as the poor thing was being torn limb from limb, Griswold was on the older and more tired side. The poor thing was already being pummeled before the smith beaned it then shield bashed it to neutral, expecting his body to lock up like usual making it super difficult to maneuver around. But it doesn't, as if some fundamental restriction of the game had been undermined or the girl had rewrote it with just a simple guttural sound. What exactly was it that Shiina had done? None of the party really knew, but the fact was it was extraordinarily effective at allowing them to obliterate this foe long before it could even have the thought of resisting. All that remained was a pile of lion fuzz, three players utterly shocked beyond compare and one crazy kid tossing it around like a set of pom poms.

  3. The regal athenian style complexes of floor 17's settlement, clearly inspired by the glorified romances of Greece's mythos in all its magnificence. Off of a pad and down that white and refined stone, through a plaza practically barren outside of yellow cursors. The smith would take to the small board, finding this trip down memory lane to be both welcoming and a bit bittersweet. The thoughts of how long they had been in this game started to find themselves boiling to the surface. Grasping at the papers tacked to it, he'd find their query and tear it clean. Sending out an array of join requests, he'd take the first few steps toward the south side of town. A midsummer night was hot and bordering darkness, which would mean that the creature was likely entering its sleep pattern in the last few times he ran this some months prior. Now he'd need only wait for the others to arrive.

    Seeing the small girl blaze past and go full surgeon on the creatures that Celeste pointed out, The smith assumed the matter handled. That was until he saw another pair slowly clamber out of the brush and start darting full speed toward the waters edge. Dropping his hammer, he'd grab the chain and begin to twirl it. A rip down and overhead would allow that mallet on tether to extend out and pile drive the remaining two into tiny driven nails. Pop Pop, they are squished as easily as a bug with a newspaper. Using both arms he'd fish the thing back and pluck it up. He knew he couldn't catch the little bastards on foot, but his weapon could easily bridge that gap in speed. He'd turn to Setsuna, offering a smile to her and lifting a fist like a ranged fist bump. She'd respond with a stoic glance, raking her hand through her hair.

    Tapping his thicker hands together, the smith leans down to pick up his hammer. Reaching up he'd pull of his helmet and remove it. The air on his skin was nice, allowing a cool breeze to help alleviate the stuffiness of such armor. The smith attempts to tuck it under his right arm but drops it. The saddest crunch pops the moment it presumably hits the dirt. Glancing left and right, Griswold leans down and picks it up to find not one but two very smashed crab. Looking a little bit like white and red ground beef, before being whisked away by the air like ash. The man rakes his face with fingers through his facial hair, helping release the moisture before deciding to replace the visage. There was something rather internally humorous about helping his team without even trying to, but he'd count it as a lucky break and not overthink it.

  7. In tune with the rest of his team, the smith springs into the opening created by Setsuna as the creature was still debilitated by the prior pair. The exposed flesh is impacted by the mountain of a man with chain of potent slams of a hammer, rattling something internally and making its legs curl. It wobbles and falls off to the side, its legs curling not unlike a spider. The smith retracts and the malus in his grasp spins as he flicks his wrist. The thing drops and dangles like a key on a keychain, as the mountain of a man latches on to the titanic crustacean with both hands. Offering it a following headbutt that rattles it even further, before the man would turn it around and press down. Locking it in place, the thing is wrestled to submission as the thick muscles beneath his plate armor bulge and strain in a contest of strength.

  8. The large tower of a man was not nearly as subtle as some of his other companions, the striking dark blue plates of metal did well to catch every little stream of light. Gleaming as those streams would hit upon the plate armors polished surface. A heavy visage helmet to match, it would shield his entire body from view, allowing only the small slit on its front in a sharp edge for him to see through. He was quite the machine, a huge brick house sliding in out of the tree line with footfalls that sounded heavy enough to level a tree. The armor even had the gall to plink with each step, as the weight continued to rise and settle. A large wall of a shield held fast in his left hand, strapped around his wrist by a pair of leather bands to keep his offhand free. While his other, a smaller blacksmithing mallet with a pommel chained around his wrist with a large cast iron chain.

    The creatures were still down, if he could do some real damage then they would have much less to take care of after these things were able to move again. He walks toward the limp things, towering over them. Tightening his grip on his hammer, pulling his arm back and quickly smashing his weapon against the top of each head, or atleast was supposed to be their head. Everytime they came to do crab stuff, there was always a different experience after. With the tiny adventures that this game has given he knew that Anna would have loved it. He really wishes that this wasn’t a death game that locked him away from his sick little girl. Raising his hammer up one last time, upon impact the creature turns into hot flaming goo and bursts into nothing. There was only one that remained, he didn’t want to be in the way when one of the other teammates came swinging. Stepping over the table, he would keep out of the way. He knew he was tall and that he would only get in the way if he wasn’t attacking in a small place like this.

    It was like they were in pure slow moe compared to what they were a few seconds ago. Setsuna was different today, off and not as cold. It was a very unique sight, he started twirling that chain in a wide circular motion. He waits for that tug and aims toward the larger group of tiny critters. In one foul swoop he releases as the hammer practically squished three of them. Jerking his metal rope backwards, his tool would clip the last. They would all burst like little firecrackers on the sands. There were still two more but they seemed to have vanished, he was unsure where they had gone. Raidou seemed hot on rice about finding them, he was following their little trails that led to a pile of small rocks. That man has always been the perspective type, at least one of them was paying attention. He began to twirl his looped cord back around his arm, getting ready for whatever was to come next.

    The tower of a man knew exactly what he was going to do, deep down he promised that it was going to hurt worse than the last one. Running toward it as it was actually running from him, this was sometimes half the fun. A challenge was more of what it was, the sake of having to work for what you got. Pulling that shield up as he bashes into the creature followed by a hammer smashing against his already tender sliced up places against its flesh. It starts to try limping the other way, “I wouldn’t do that if I was you.” It continued to clatter past Raidou toward Celeste but she was so fair. Why was it going after her, he was the one that hit it. Setting his hand on his helmet watching this thing walk by, he was very confused. Turning to follow, he sees Celeste charging back this way, this was going to be good.

  12. As he runs toward the enemy, they could feel the ground shake beneath their feet. With a sliding halt he flings his hammer outward and it smashes hard against the shell. It started to splinter like a spiderweb all the way across before shattering it into nothing. All that was left was the crab with no shell. That had never happened before, there were always a few smacks or stabs to the armor that the crab had on but it never actually exploded off. Celeste did break it into pieces last time but this was a solid frame that shatters off the creature that is somehow still alive. Wrapping the chain around his arm, rolling the tool back to him. Grasping it back into his hands, he started backing up. This next attack that he gave out was going to hurt more than this last one, he would make sure of it. To do this he had to create distance between him and the creature.

    The entire room fills with a volatile and blinding silver light, like being hit with high beams with your eyes shoved against a headlight. The smith cant help but wince and the sound immediately causes him to go deaf. Once the smoke would clear as his ears are ringing trying to recover his hearing, he'd look around trying to discover just what the fuck just happened. His eyes set on Morrighan in all her magnificent vengeance, eyes alight and hair flowing like its under water. "Holy fuck." The voice was louder then intended, but it was the only way he could even attempt to hear it. Watching her and Gaius start to move a big pole, they'd all move over to assist.

    Eventually the place seems to light up, and return to something not nearly as dingy. They'd separate for the day for tomorrow there would be another affair out into the unknown to adhere to. There was way too much oddity but it was rather interesting regardless.

    The last to drop into the giant black hole, he'd slam down with a heavy thud. He wasn't nearly as graceful as the rest of these teenagers barely old enough to have a job, when he'd already lived an entire life while they were still in diapers. A fact which was sad given he wasn't that much older then them. A splat as he'd land would cause his attentions to focus down toward his feet. "Uh." The smith would find himself in a mild state of shock, glancing around in the pale white light and counting them all. They were all here, so who was? Looking down he had landed squarely on a small pack of black goo creatures that were now nothing more then splattered water balloons all over his plated greaves. "Perfect." Griswold remarks with the mild hint of sarcasm, given now he would be fishing this crap out of every seam of this armor before it would rust and screw it up.

    The smith would remove his helmet to get a clearer visual, allowing his skin to breath and cool off a bit. Tucking it under his arm, he'd dab at the back of his neck with a white rag from a back on his back waist. Out of the corner of his eye, he'd barely catch movement. "Ey." The smith barks with a heavy tone toward his companions. Toward the water he points as they realize they'd been caught and begin to fan out just like the players. That hammer is dropped and he grabs the slack chain, whipping it around in one quick clockwise sweep over his head. He casts it off like the line of a fishing pole, continuing his turn sending the thing roaring through the air like a whip. It slams into a handful but the others continue to wander away. He hardly had the same traveling speed as the others, but despite that he'd try anyway. Replacing his helmet, he'd start to hoof it.

  17. Heavy stomps come at a pace far too rapid for the size of the man producing them, like a train of pain it pushed into the belly of the beast. A clap like thunder, as his shield connects and with one fell motion his right arm extends. That small unassuming hammer, no bigger then three inches in length, comes down with enough force to crack and concave the beasts remaining armor, sending most to the heavens to fall like raindrops. His hand opens, as he'd lift a foot and press it into that exposed and volatile flesh using both hands to hold it down. One after another in dedicated strikes, an unending assault upon their wary foe that had bitten off more then it could chew. They were becoming refined and honed to a lethal fine point. Moreover their minds were starting to become more solidified, unified despite their differences.

  18. The indomitable titan that lords over most of who he encounters, like a shifting tectonic plate with a mountain positioned upon its surface. Thick armor dense enough to crack stone, beneath its hardened exterior was flesh and muscle fit enough to carry such a stature. Like a statue, it would move in metallic rubbing and clanking, almost more machine then man. The small slit upon the helmet allowed him the view to see, as the rattle of chains continued to convey a reminder of their existence. A twist of his grip causes the leather adorning his malus to squeal softly as it becomes tight. Like a rubber band pulled to the brink, it was waiting for the tension to snap. The man nods to Raidou, locking eyes with him as he'd move to his right. Creating enough distance as they assumed positions for the coming fray. The waves on their opposed, and the woman being the sole break on that landscape, they'd wait in equal silence.

    Seeing the piranhas swimming, Griswold just shakes his head. Gaius had set an accidental trap, the ironic part was he is a fisher. Apparently the boy is good at what he does. Starting to swing that chain around and around, he moved slightly so that he didn’t hit anyone. Flinging that hammer out toward the pool right into the middle of the fish. Pulling back quickly as most of them pop like balloons. The other two start attacking the hammer as he pulls it back to shore. He could see Raidou moving forward where the tool would come back up. The man was getting ready for murder, it was nice to watch that man plan. Wrapping that metal rope around his arm, one more strong jerk back and those fish were flapping on land with water. It was the perfect opportunity for the others to put them down. Grabbing his weapon now, backing up further so that he didn’t get in the way.

    Head turns to the others as the crab explodes everywhere on the beach. He was a bit taken back at the sudden outburst. Something had to have happened before coming here, that was not just from standing here fighting. Glancing around, he knew what came next after the big guy. Seeing something start to move inside the water more than normal. “What the,” walking a bit closer as weird looking slimes come out. It was made from the liquid, translucent and very bouncy. “Uh guys the lake has come alive?” He couldn’t tell if that was a statement or a question, from the sound of his voice it was definitely confusion. A step back unsure if there was some form of chemical inside. What the heck brought the body of water to just come alive, was there something in the water itself creating this effect. Griswold was really trying to wrap his head around this one.

  21. The creature was down for the count. It was already looking a little worse for wear. Swinging his hammer in a cipher motion until he feels that tug, this time it starts to glow bright orange. This didn’t happen much, a grin that no one could see appeared on his face. Releasing the tool, upon impact the crab moves a few inches from Raidou without actually moving itself. A large round imprint was left on the creature's flesh. It was the same spot that everyone else was hitting. He starts to twirl up the chains around his arm. Starting to think a little about what went down last night, it was one of the most amazing days he’s had. The first was finding out that the girls were in this game with him. Ever since he accidentally left Anna, it was hard. When his twins just showed up it was a miracle. He missed his little girl so much, but finding Eruda and Freya, it was like fate.

  22. Seeing Raidou pack up his things, that was a tell that it was time to go. Heading up to the room he stayed in, he gathered his things and went downstairs. Eruda and Freya were waiting at the bottom, they both grabbed him into a giant hug, he wrapped his massive arms around them,”Thank you girls, I needed this.” Closing his eyes for a moment to enjoy it. Releasing them, he starts twisting the chain around his arm. Walking out with Raidou with a smile on his face as he equips his armor. Today was going to be like the last few, unexpected. Nisahime would bring them to the unknown and they would fight until it was over. He would return to his shop and hammer away on the anvil til night fall, sleep then do it all over again. Last night is what made these days not seem like a repeat. It was nice to do something else for a change.

    An almost silent huff of relief from the man, he was glad that they didn’t just die but instead appeared in a different location. It was clear that that woman had some tricks up her sleeve, he just wasn’t sure he liked them very much. Gaius struck the large fella down and Setsuna froze him solid, this was what he liked seeing. The team was now working together to get this done quickly. Swinging that hammer around in a circular motion until he felt a small tug. This is when he releases and smashes Ugzekes foot. It looked like it started cracking under the ice, he watched in carefully. Out of nowhere it shatters, the thing was left without a foot. It might grow back after the defrost but he wasn’t sure that the large creature would last that long. He starts to drag and wrap his forging tool around his arm.

    They all seemed to be in a decent sized group, he was weighing his option hard corn right now. If he moved from this spot, it was likely that he would get flung into the lava and never return. Swinging that hammer around by the chain until he feels that perfect tug before releasing forward toward the enemies. The first throw hits two really hard, causing one to burst into tiny little shards. Pulling that chain to the right then to the left, he hits the other two. The biggest creature was just as big as him if not bigger. He would know for sure until it stood up. Glancing down at Gaius now, “That’s great, maybe she can make something for me to try sometime?” Asking the question, there was a bit of hope in his voice even through the helmet. Standing his ground as he pulls and twists that metal rope back around his arm. This heat was nothing, he was in a blacksmith shop all day most of the time, his skin was used to a little fire.

    Picking up his hammer, he drags the chain across the ground as the annoying rats pop one by one. It really didn’t take much to kill the things that came after the crab. It took more time trying to find them and catch them than actually making them vanish. Hearing Gaius ask the question as he starts to pull his bulky line back around his arm. “I’ve been fine, you?,” that wasn’t the question he wanted to ask but it was polite. “How is she,” finally saying what he was really thinking. That voice came out deep and a bit muffled but clear from the helmet. The man knew that there was nothing to worry about when it came to his girls. Both men had proven themselves time and time again but he couldn’t help wondering what they had been up to, he missed them being around so much. It was all he had now, he wanted to make the most of their time. He didn’t know how to do this without seeming needy, that was the last thing that he wanted.
