  1. (Dice gods hate me ._.)

Once again, Helios didn't land his attack. He tried stabbing the monster but was unlucky, and just barely missed it. He was so close too! He moved away from the dragon and closed his eyes. I need to focus. he thought. He opened his eyes, feeling calm, and grinned as he stared down the monster. "Failing doesn't give you a reason to give up, as long as you believe." he muttered, chuckling. He pointed his sword at the dragon and grinned, with fire in his eyes. "Alright, dragon, show me what you've got!" he shouted. All of the sudden he felt alive again, like he could defeat the mob with ease.

(It would be really awkward if I missed this next hit now xD)

  2. Taking a breath, Helios raised his scimitar and focused on his opponent. The <Elf Dragon> had managed to miss another attack and he was grateful for that. He new he was capable of finishing the fight right there, but he needed to concentrate. The dragon was too close for comfort. He moved back once again so he wasn't guaranteed to take any damage. The dragon definitely was not weak, just inaccurate. He leaped towards the monster, attempting to stab it, but missed by a mile! What was I thinking!? he thought, hoping the monster would miss another shot. Taking a critical hit would damage him, and that was not a great idea.

  3. That was close. I need to concentrate or i'll end up getting hit next time. he thought. He stood still as the dragon circled around him. Impatience began to consume him as he waited for a good time to strike. He sighed, knowing it was a bad idea, and rushed the beast head on. He attempted to stab the monster, but missed by mere inches. Swiftly, he moved back and readied his scimitar, expecting an attack from the dragon. He waited, patiently this time, for another breath attack or to be charged with full force. He had a good feeling he was going to lose some health here. By the look on the blonde spectator's face, he could tell he made a mistake by attempting to assault the little dragon.

  4. "Well, Helios, let me tell you my story. I have fought many players and I rarely win! So I was hoping I would get lucky this time around and defeat you. Of course, it doesn't look like that'll happen now, does it?" he said, with a snakelike smile. At that point, Helios realized what his clone was doing. He had been a complete idiot! The reason he had sat down to "talk" was to stall until he had more health. Both of them jumped to their feet at the same time and crossed blades once again. The Gemini didn't seem surprised that his plan had failed, but it didn't look like it bothered him. The NPC struck Helios with the butt of his sword and swiftly slashed him. Luckily the boy had managed to land a hit on his clone before falling over.

  5. Helios yawned as he laid back against a tree. He had come up to the High Fields of Crossing to relax for a little while. It had been weeks since he had last been to the second floor and it all felt so much different than the higher floors. He looked up at the clouds and imagined laying on top of one, drifting through the sky. He chuckled, feeling like a kid for the first time since he got into SAO. He didn't get to spend as much time relaxing as he used to. These days it was all about getting stronger and leveling up. His biggest dream was becoming strong enough to help in a boss fight. He managed to convince himself that if he kept working towards it, he'd be one of the strongest players in SAO. The wind brushed against his face and through the leaves. He sat there, staring at the virtual sky with all of it's virtual clouds and closed his eyes, slowly falling asleep.

  6. His sword sliced through The Gemini's arm as Helios swung it. This just gets easier and easier. he thought, grinning widely. This time, the monster cloned to look like him didn't even try to attack him. "Well, Helios, I hope I've put up a good enough fight. You were a lot stronger than I had anticipated" he said, out of breath. He sat down and gestured for Helios to take a seat with him. Cautiously, he sat down. With the amount of health he had left, he couldn't think of trying to pick a fight with him, even if he wasn't expecting it. "How about we take a break from all of this fighting and talk?" the copy proposed. He couldn't think of any reason not to trust him so he went ahead and nodded, signifying his agreement. The Gemini looked at him and chuckled. "You know, you're an incredible swordsman for your level." he said, complimenting the black-haired lad.

  7. Helios looked at the <Elf Dragon> and drew his curved sword. "It doesn't look too powerful." he stated, walking up to it. He lunged at the dragon. I've fought dragons that were a tad stronger than this before. I can do it again! he thought, slashing the beast. He grinned as the monster roared. It sounded to him like it was in pain, but he was hesitant to believe that Kayaba would go as far as making the NPCs feel pain. Doing that would be completely and utterly cruel. Just as he thought, defeating this monster was going to be easy. He readied his sword and studied the dragon, waiting to see what it would do. The black-haired boy was curious to see what the dragon would do. He was also inclined to know what the player observing him thought of the fight.

  8. Helios grinned as he picked up another snowball. "This time i'll hit you." he muttered, chuckling. He aimed the ball of snow at his target, Lowenthal, and launched it. It flew through the air until it hit him directly in the chest. "Kobe!" he shouted. He fell over, unable to contain his laughter. He decided that getting up took too much effort and closed his eyes. He felt the snowflakes slowly hitting his face and smiled. The fourth floor was actually quite peaceful. Well, other than the players whipping snowballs at each other.

  9. His expression turned serious as the blonde sent him the invitation. His hand went to the "Accept" button and he nodded. For all he knew, the player's choice of monster could have been incredibly difficult. He certainly hoped that would not be the case. "Where will I be fighting the monster?" he asked, looking at the player. All of the sudden he felt a rush of excitement. He was pleased to know that he was wanted for Oikawa's project. At that moment, Helios decided he would prove his worth to the young man. He grinned putting his hand on his sword and gripping it tightly. "I'm ready for anything you throw at me." he declared.

  10. His jaw dropped as he heard what the blonde-haired boy had to say. So he is going to teach me the black arts of smithiry... I must have been leveling up my "Mind Reading" skill without even knowing! he thought, grinning. "Yes, of course I'll take over for you. What are you going to be teaching me first?" he inquired. He had never once thought of becoming a blacksmith so the idea was new to him. After thinking it over he didn't think he'd have what it takes to be a smith anyway, but he thought he'd give it a try anyway. To be completely honest, Helios expected to be fighting monsters or tagging along on a quest or something along those lines. He then remembered Oikawa saying something about the Azure Brigade. Maybe they were electing him as their mascot or something. He had to chuckle at the thought of that. He imagined his face on a poster saying "The Azure Brigade! The most prestigious and powerful guild in all of Aincrad!"

  11. Although there was only the slightest bit of information to go on, Helios didn't mind. He was, of course, quite intrigued to find out what it was that Oikawa wanted with him. "I'd like to know what this is all about, so I'll do whatever you need of me." he stated. He had heard of Oikawa and the Azure Brigade before, and he felt fairly safe around him. He definitely did not expect the player to PK him or anything of that sort. "So, what will we be doing out here?" he questioned, as they were just outside of the village and it didn't look like there was much they could complete in that area. He did say he was a blacksmith. Maybe he wants to teach me the black arts of smithiry. He had to hold in laughter at the thought of his utterly stupid joke. Of course he wasn't going to teach him how to be a blacksmith!

  12. Helios was shocked when The Gemini's sword sliced his arm. It had been a long time since he'd been in combat, so he wasn't used to the feeling of being injured. He jumped back a little and swung his curved sword, hitting The Gemini in the hip. He winced and stumbled backwards, but quickly regained balance and began to rush back at him. Helios evaded his attack and tripped him. "Was that really necessary?" he groaned. He stood back up and caught his breath. "What's the matter, Gemini? You look like you've gotten a little bit nervous." Helios chuckled. It was true, The Gemini did look extraordinarily nervous. He was losing the fight of course! But it couldn't have been the first time he'd lost a deathmatch, so why was he so scared of being defeated? He stared at the copy-cat and studied him, determined to answer his question.

  13. Helios darted outside of Delilah Village, late for a meeting with someone who had sent him a private message. He saw the player awaiting his arrival and sighed, afraid he was going to be slapped for being late. The boy did not look exceptionally happy about him being late. He slowed down as he reached him. "Sorry i'm late," he said, panting, "I'm Helios, the one you PMed." he stopped to take a breath before saying anything else. Running felt a lot harder than it used to. Well, looks like i'm out of shape. That could cause problems in the future, but I won't worry about it now. he thought, yawning. He stood up straight again, feeling much more awake than he did before. "So, what did you call me here for?" he asked, curious to what someone would want with him. He didn't think he'd done anything wrong, and he didn't recognize the player very well, so it couldn't have been that. Helios thought about what he could have been called for, but couldn't think of a single reason.

  14. "Nice to meet you, Jomei. I'm Helios." he said, smiling at the guy who seemed to be friends with Calrex. Right as he said it, a snowball came flying down, hitting Calrex in the shoulder. He looked at the boy above them and laughed a little, before sneezing. Cold's are way too realistic in this game... he thought, as he sighed quietly. Helios scratched the back of his head and chuckled, picking up a snowball, and attempting to throw it at Jomei. Of course, with his terrible aim, he completely missed his target and ended up hitting a random player instead. He couldn't help but laugh at his hilarious mistake. "Oops." he said, starting to stop laughing as much. The boy he had hit looked around to see who had thrown the snowball, but it seemed obvious to Helios that he couldn't tell where it had come from.

  15. The swords made a clashing sound as they met. Helios ducked The Gemini's attack, but completely missed his own. His only thought was how annoying the fight would be. He still didn't know if this copycat had the same skills he did, and the only way he'd figure that out is if he was damaged. I think i'm better off not knowing anything about him... All I need to think about now is how I can defeat him... he thought. Helios leaned over slightly, as he was slowly getting tired of charging at The Gemini so many times. He stood up straight and sighed, once again lifting his scimitar. "Well, Gemini, Let's finish this as fast as possible." he chuckled.

  16. Helios arrived on the fourth floor for the first time in ages. He shivered, remembering the only warm clothing he had on him was a scarf. He put his hands in his pant pockets and traveled to the middle of the town, where a small group of four were gathered. He recognized one of the people, but the rest were strangers to him. He waved to Calrex, the only boy he knew, and smiled. "Hey," he exclaimed "What's up?"

"Achoo!" Helios sneezed. Looks like i'm already catching a cold... he thought, sighing. He stopped and laughed as a snowball came flying down, hitting Jomei. He scratched the back of his head and walked over to them. "So what brings you to this floor?" he asked Calrex, because he didn't think he'd be the kind of person to come to a cold place like this.

  17. Helios knew his plan was going to work. Right before he was in range of The Gemini he came to a stop, rotated, and slashed at the clone. He'd managed to land a hit! He grinned, but his counterpart quickly tried to stab him back. Helios easily dodged the attack, since The Gemini was injured and had lost stamina for a moment. The clone had fallen over on his back. "Well, looks like you got me. But i'm nowhere near defeated." he stated, standing back up. He raised his sword and the two of them dashed toward each other. I'm not losing this fight... I'd feel so stupid if I lost to myself... he thought, raising his sword and grinning. "I'm going to win!" he shouted.

  18. Helios swung his sword at his look-alike, but The Gemini leaped away. The clone sprinted towards him and attempted to jab him with the hilt of his short sword. He evaded the strike and glared at The Gemini. "What a drag. I can't land a single hit on you." he said, sighing. His clone laughed hysterically. He swung his sword around carelessly as he grinned at Helios. "Alright, Helios. Let's both use all of the strength we've got!" he exclaimed, cheerfully. He grinned, thinking of a plan. Although The Gemini was probably thinking the same thing as him, or at least something similar, he had to try something. If only I could use my katana... he thought. Helios instantly sprung towards his "twin" attempting to stab him. The copy grinned, raising his sword.

  19. He then noticed something. The copy was holding a short sword, not a scimitar. It was at that moment that Helios had realized they weren't the same person. “No, you’re not me. You’re just a copy of me. I’m probably not the first one you’ve tried to trick either. I’m going to ask you again. Who are you?†he asked, his courage coming back to him. “Well, that was fast. It normally takes them a little longer to realize that. You are correct, I’m not you. I am The Gemini.†The figure said, raising his short sword. Both The Gemini and Helios grinned at the same time. “Let’s have a duel, shall we?†The Gemini chuckled. Helios nodded as he pressed the "Accept" button on the request. As the timer reached zero, Helios lunged at his opponent, but the clone swiftly blocked the attack. The Gemini tried to slash at him but Helios ducked the attack. Helios had already decided it would be a tough fight to win. They were almost exactly the same, of course! It was like they could read each other's movements.

  20. All there was in the room was a wooden chair. But sitting in the chair was a man in some sort of robe that covered his entire body. The man was facing the opposite direction from Helios, so he couldn’t tell who it was. He then stood up from the chair and turned around to face Helios. The boy stared him down, filled with courage, and waited to see what his plan was. “Well!†the man exclaimed, “Look who it is. Helios!†Helios was confused. The strange man somehow knew his name. It must’ve been someone he knew. It was probably Calrex trying to scare him or something. “Who are you?†he asked the mysterious figure. His only response was laughter, like it was an obvious answer or something. “Oh, Helios, you know who I am!†he stated, pulling off his hood. His eyes grew wide. “You-you’re me…?†Helios asked, confused. His mind immediately went blank. How did they look exactly the same?

  21. Helios stared at the massive ruins that he had finally found. He had been searching through the jungles of Floor 7 for a whole day before finally discovering it. While exploring, he had escaped various monsters that inhabited the jungle, and had even climbed a tree to save himself from a tiger. The black-haired boy wiped the sweat off his forehead and walked up the stairs into the temple. It was a lot darker than he expected it to be and there were cobwebs everywhere. He ventured deeper into the quiet, ruined building. Inside, there wasn’t a single sound. He couldn’t even hear a mouse run across the floor. It was completely empty of any forms of life. Then, he heard something ahead of him. It sounded like… a voice. No, it wasn’t just “a voiceâ€. It sounded like his voice! Helios withdrew his sword and curiously walked towards the voice. At the end of the temple there was a door that looked like it lead to another room. He cautiously turned the doorknob and opened the door.
