  1. Looking up, Helios noticed the two players beside him. "Nice to meet you too, Calrex. I'm Helios." he smiled. He looked at the other boy, who had asked him what he didn't want to do alone. "I was just looking at the Information Broker and I found a field boss on this floor. It seems kind of strong, so I didn't feel like it would be safe to do it alone at my level." he chuckled. He then realized that he could ask if the two boys wanted to help him out with the boss. "Hey, are you two busy? If you're not, would you like to help me out with the boss?" he asked politely. The two of them looked friendly and strong. It would be nice to have them come along. He looked back at the Info Broker and read a little bit more on the field boss. From what was written in it, it looked to him like the monster was a large bee. It had a good amount of health, so three people would be safer than one. Helios was interested in what it dropped. Would it be a rare weapon? Or maybe it was some other item. He wished it said what the drop was in the broker.

  2. "I agree, that voice really doesn't suit you." he laughed. Although it did sound accurate, being that happy didn't seem like Rusty's style. Helios was surprised when he heard the boy ask if he wanted to fight monsters. He really didn't expect that to come from him. "I didn't think you found things like that entertaining. If you want to, i'm  okay with that." he smiled. He hadn't fought anything in a while so he probably wasn't going to be that great. He looked towards Rusty, who was still sitting across from him. "Is there anywhere in particular you want to go?" he asked politely.

  3. Helios was reading his Info Broker to see if anything new was added. There were things concerning the 10th floor's boss, hunting areas, and other things. While looking at the different hunting grounds on the second floor, he stumbled upon something that caught his eye. According to the book, a party reported awakening a field boss after clearing out the <<Wind Wasps>> that were found in the fields. He had never actually fought a field boss, so it looked interesting to him. Of course, he wasn't a very high level, so he wasn't sure if he'd be able to do it alone. Helios looked around to see if he could find anyone he knew that would like to help him kill the field boss. No one. He sighed, hoping eventually he'd find someone. "It would be great if I didn't have to do this alone." he muttered as he sat down on a bench.

  4. "So, is there anything you want to do. You look a little bit bored." he chuckled lightly. Helios was disinterested in their conversation as well. He could tell that it wasn't going anywhere, and he could probably find something better to do. But, if Rusty wasn't bored, he'd be okay with staying and talking. He couldn't think of a single thing to say to the boy, so he decided to just sit back and wait for a response. Looking around, he tried to think of something they could do. They could go hunting, but a lot of players did find it boring. They could explore the floor's mountains and forests if Rusty wanted to. Helios hadn't seen much of the floor, so it was a good start. He decided to let Rusty decide, as he couldn't think of much.

  5. His smile faded away. He looked up at his cursor, curiously. "Um, sir, my cursor is green." he chuckled lightly, scratching the back of his head. Helios studied the boy carefully. This might have been a bad idea... What if he turns out to be a PKer? He sighed at the thought. "I was just asking if you needed any help. Of course if you'd like me to leave, i'll do as you wish." he said, starting to walk away. He remembered that not everyone in SAO was friendly. He hadn't met many disagreeable players, but there were probably a lot out there, on the higher floors. Of course, to Helios, the boy didn't look like a threat. He was a lot shorter than he was and looked to be about his age. If he did try to attack him, he thought he'd have a pretty good chance. He looked at his gear as a precaution. It was just as he thought, the starter items.

  6. Helios was perched in a tree looking at his katana. "I really wish I could use this thing." he said, sighing. He put it back in his inventory and jumped out of the tree. He came back down to the first floor the day before for some mob grinding. He planned on staying one extra day for exploring and possibly a little bit of late night grinding. He was in the middle of adventuring in the forest when he found someone swinging around a spear. He looked beside his health bar for a level. "Level 1... Interesting..." he mumbled, quietly enough that he couldn't be heard. He then proceeded to introduce himself to the stranger. He walked out from behind the trees he was hiding behind and waved. "Hi there, I'm Helios!" he exclaimed, smiling. The player looked quite new to the game, but his spear skills weren't bad at all. "You look like a new player. Anything you need help with?" he asked politely.

  7. "So, you're called the Dragonflame Katana... That is an interesting name..." he mumbled, thinking about something. The first step Helios had to take to become a known player was obtaining his katana. The second step was obviously going to be obtaining the katana skill that was necessary to use his sword. Then what is the third step... he thought, curious of what it could be. He then realized what it was. "Maybe... A title?" he asked himself. A title would probably help people recognize him. He looked at his new katana and grinned. "I'm thinking something along the lines of 'The Moon Demon'. Yeah, that sounds pretty good. Ironic, since my name was based off of Helios, the Sun Titan of Greek mythology." he said, chuckling. He looked back at Sai's Blacksmith and smiled. "Thanks a lot, Sai." he said, as he walked to the gate of Urbus and left the town. Helios wouldn't forget about Sai, the NPC blacksmith, who crafted his katana, the Dragonflame Katana

  8. He saw through me! He sighed "Alright, alright! Was there any specific reason you were up here?" he asked. He wasn't sure why he asked that, but it just popped into his head and he felt like asking. Rusty was an interesting guy. Helios had talked to a lot of people in his life, but he had never met anyone like him. From Helios' point of view, Rusty was sarcastic and serious. Helios chuckled. He hadn't heard him laugh or even seen him smile this whole time.

"So, about that book you were reading earlier. Where did you get it?" he asked, curiously. A book like that be useful when he went out to grind monsters. He'd be able to predict the mob's attack patterns a lot easier if he could get his hands on it. Of course, if it was a book that you couldn't obtain, he didn't need it that badly. Hunting wasn't too hard anyway.

  9. Sai struck the metal once more and it started to glow. It transformed into a beautiful katana. She had made it exactly how he wanted. Now all I need is the Katana skill... he thought as the NPC picked up the sword. "Well, here it is. How do you like it?" she said, handing it to Helios. He held the sword in his hands and it felt perfect. He nodded to show that he liked it. "It's got an interesting name to it too. The Dragonflame Katana." she stated. The name perked his interest. "Dragonflame, eh? I like it." he replied. She gave him the sheath and he put the sword into his inventory. "Thanks, Sai. You made the perfect sword." he said, smiling. He felt bad that he didn't pay her. Then again, he did almost die obtaining the materials for the sword. He once again left the blacksmith and waved to Sai as he left. The first step for becoming a known player was completed. Helios grinned as he closed the door of the blacksmith and walked out towards a bench near the main gate.

  10. After arriving in Urbus, Helios ran towards the blacksmith. He opened the door and the NPC welcomed him. "Welcome back, player!" she said, smiling. She had a hammer in her hand and she looked ready to make the katana. "Did you get the Dragon Scales I asked for?" she asked politely. Helios walked up to the counter and dropped the two scales on it. They were a lot bigger than he expected them to be. No wonder she only needed two of them. She brought him into the back room where she made the weapons and put the scales down. "You can watch me make the sword. It might actually seem realistic to you." she said, giggling. Sparks flew out from the hot metal as she hit it with her hammer. She was right, it did feel realistic. I spark hit Helios' face and it felt the same as it would if you were sitting by a campfire and a spark hit you. He was impressed by how it was made. I've got to admit, Kayaba is good at what he does... he thought as he looked at the metal on the anvil.

  11. "It would be so much nicer if I had someone to talk to well I was out here." Helios sighed. He was in the last forest on his way back to Urbus and he was just about ready to fall over. He climbed into one of the trees and opened his inventory. "Time for lunch." he chuckled. He equipped a loaf of bread out of his inventory and grinned as he took a bite out of it. It didn't really taste as good as he expected. It was kind of stale and hard to bite into. "They could have at least made this taste a little bit better when they made SAO..." he muttered. He took some water out of his inventory and jumped out of the tree after finishing the bread. "Well, time to get back to Urbus. I need Sai to make my sword!" he exclaimed. He kept walking forward until he reached the end of the forest. Just ahead was Urbus, and in the town was Sai's Blacksmith. Helios took a sip from his water as he walked back to the town, with a smile on his face.

  12. Helios ran towards the dragon and swung at it with full force. He slashed the dragon's stomach but this time, it didn't roar. Helios was thrown to the floor the second the sword cut through the dragon. The dragon shattered like the last one and once again, a notification popped up. He pressed accept for the second time and stood back up. He picked up his scimitar and sheathed it. "Now i've got both of the Dragon Scales. Sai can make me my sword when I get back." he said, grinning. He'd get his katana and become a strong, well known player. That was his goal for the game. He opened his inventory, looking for a teleport crystal, when he realized something. "I forgot to buy a teleport crystal!?" he yelled. He walked out of the dungeon and sighed. "I guess i'll be walking back to Urbus then." he said, looking extremely tired. He yawned as he walked away from the dragon-filled mountain.

  13. Helios had gotten frustrated with the whole "Dragons outsmarting him" thing and he was fed up with fighting them. He stood up and swung his scimitar. The blade was quite hot from the fire, but he didn't care. He charged at the dragon, his eyes filled with rage. He rapidly stabbed the dragon in the stomach and it once again roared. It tried to slice through him but Helios quickly dodged it's attack. "Once more. Get ready to die dragon!" he exclaimed as he got ready to rush the monster. He then realized what he was doing. I can't stoop to it's level... I need to focus and not let rage fuel me... he thought, sighing. He focused on this dragon's weak points. It looked to him like the easiest one to get to would be the stomach. "That's where i'll aim for." he mumbled.

  14. Helios looked at the dragon and swiftly attacked it without warning. He stabbed it in the back and the beast roared as loud as he possibly could. This dragon seemed a lot angrier than the last one, which scared him a little bit. He pulled the sword out of it's back and stepped back as the dragon turned around. Something was off about this dragon that he didn't like. The dragon opened his mouth slightly and Helios saw fire slowly creeping up it's throat. His expression changed once again as the dragon started breathing fire. "A breath attack!" he exclaimed. He was surprised. He should have guessed that a dragon could breath fire, but since the last one didn't, he dismissed the thought. The dragon roared and fire came out of it's mouth. It was like an erupting volcano. Helios tried to block it, but he couldn't. The heat instantly made him fall backwards. He had lost a lot of health from that attack. He didn't know if he'd be able to survive many more.

  15. Standing up, Helios looked towards another dragon. "Right, I still have to fight that." he sighed. He picked up his scimitar that was on the ground beside him. The first dragon had almost killed him. He was slightly nervous about fighting the second one. I need to do this... I'm getting my katana, no matter what it takes... he thought. His expression turned serious as he looked at the dragon. It hadn't even noticed him yet, so he thought he might be able to get a hit on it from behind. "Alright, dragon. Time to get another scale." he muttered as he pointed his sword at the dragon. This was the final battle for the sword. He just needed to kill this dragon to get the second Dragon Scale, and he was going to win. The katana was almost his.

  16. Helios sat there, quietly. He went into his inventory and equipped the health potion. He knew he needed to drink it, but he had had a problem with it. He had never drank a health potion and he was scared to find out what it tasted like. He chuckled at the thought. The taste of a health potion was the least of his problems. He still had to kill another dragon and only a little bit of his health had come back. He wondered if drinking this would give him enough health to kill a dragon. He slowly uncapped the health potion and looked at it for a minute before drinking it. "This better taste good." he said with a small grin. He put the tip of the potion in his mouth and drank it. His health bar went back into the green zone, but it still wasn't full. It actually didn't taste to bad to Helios, but he couldn't put his finger on what the taste was. He chuckled a little bit. "Why was I worrying about the taste of a potion?" he mumbled, grinning slightly.

  17. The dragon grinned. It charged at Helios and they slashed each other at the same time. The dragon's health dropped to zero and it shattered into a million shards. Helios dropped to his knees in agony. "I... did it..." he sighed. A notification window popped up in front of him. He had obtained a Dragon Scale. He moved his finger over to the accept button and tapped it. Helios stood up and walked towards the wall of the cave. He sat down, tired. The dragon was dead and he had defeated it. He laid there, leaned up against the cave's wall. "That was tiring." he muttered, yawning.

  18. He was done fighting this dragon. He needed to end it as soon as possible. To his surprise, the dragon stood back up. It seemed like the monster was just toying with him. Helios charged at it, but was immediately launched backwards. The tables had once again turned, and this time luck was not on his side. He was close to dying. One more hit and his health would drop into the red zone. He opened his inventory and looked at the potion. No, not yet... he thought. He needed to kill the dragon first, then he'd heal. He readied himself for another attack and hastily rushed the dragon.

  19. Helios lifted his sword, targeting the dragon's head. He swung down with full force. To his surprise, the dragon moved his head just enough that the sword wouldn't hit him. He was now confused. Why did it move it's head... he wondered. Swiftly, the dragon clawed at his legs, knocking him over. The dragon had a grin on it's face that he hadn't seen before. "What are you plotting?" he asked. Of course, the dragon still couldn't respond, as it was just a monster. He stood up slowly, making sure he could dodge any of the dragon's attacks. Interestingly enough, the dragon did not attack him, which made Helios even more confused. I have no idea what it's going to do... he thought.

  20. Helios ran towards the dragon at full speed. He was sure he'd hit it. Even if he didn't KO it, it'd lose health. He stabbed the monster in the leg, making it hard for it to stand up. The dragon was weak now. So weak that he wasn't sure it could attack him anymore. "Well dragon, what are you going to do now?" he asked, even though he knew it couldn't reply. The dragon attempted to slash Helios, but completely missed him. Instead of attacking, the dragon just laid there, helplessly. Helios assumed that it knew it was going to die. He couldn't help but feel a little bit bad for the monster. He walked up to it, ready to end this battle.

  21. Helios felt a lot more focused now. He walked up to the dragon and lifted his sword. The dragon closed his eyes, as if it was allowing him to attack. He sliced through the dragon and it flinched. The dragon then proceeded to rush him. Helios jumped out of the way as the monster attacked. "Nope. Not this time, dragon." he chuckled. To Helios, it looked like the dragon was starting to lose focus. It looked extremely angry now. The monster was letting rage fill him instead of staying on target. I wonder what will happen next... Will it hit me? Or will I be able to dodge it... he thought. The dragon roared, which made Helios flinch. Not because he was scared or anything. It was just because he didn't expect it. He thought he had a pretty good chance of killing it.
