  1. Where the hell was that AoE move from his skill set? Did the game remove? Why? He kept looking in his list of sword arts, a few of the numbers had changed as well. "God, dammit." He swore aloud, talking to himself. This entire thing would've been done so much sooner if he still had that AoE attack. He gave out a frustrated sigh. Esther was lucky that Lowe found her so damned cute. If it were just some other nobody who refused to fight, he would've let them be and ignored them. But would he really? Lowenthal snapped back to reality as the remaining two Nepents attacked.

The two Nepents lept at him simultainasly, lunging for his face. Lowenthal reacted in time, and stepped inbetween them, coming out unscathed. But in his hazyness, he forgot to swing his own weapon. He gave out another aggravated sigh. "Why is this more bothersome then it should be?" He asked himself, beginigng to become upset with himself over the matter.

  2. Lowenthal continued to attack the nepents. They crumbled like paper under his blade. As another one fell, he turned to Esther. "Working hard? I'm basically flailing my arms about like noodles, and they come running in." Lowenthal said, as the two other Nepents missed in their attacks. "Well, as far as something goes. You could try finding some naturally grown materials? Just try to stay safe, okay." Lowenthal said, returning to his 'battle'.

  3. Lowenthal shrugged, and open his menu checking to see if he had any quest items. "Ahhh, seems not likely. Oh well, gotta kill more of the things I guess to spawn another variant, nothing to terrible." Lowenthal explained, as he took a quick peek around. "Well, I don't mind it if a pretty woman like yourself rubs themselves on me. I mean, that's basically how I netted Shizuka back at home." Lowenthal said, just now mentioning his soon to be wife. If he ever got the courage to ask her that is. "So anyway, back to the grind, I guess." Lowenthal said, spinning his kunai in hand.

After a short walk, another few Nepents leaped from the bushes. Before they could react, lowenthal had already cut one of them down with a quick swipe. One down, three more to go.

  4. Lowenthal almost regretted telling her about being a tailor. Her eyes shined, and she gripped his hands tightly. Lowenthal laughed. "Yeah, I think I could do that. I'll need some materials of my own though, so here's hoping that we can find a few more materials." Lowenthal said, rubbing his wrists. "Bad habit of what? Getting excited?" Lowenthal asked, shrugging his shoulders. Lowe's face turned a beet red as she mentioned to 'punish' her.

Lowenthal turned around, trying to hide his blush. "Alright then, now to find that variant." Lowenthal squinted his eyes, trying to spot anything. "Now where could it be?" Lowenthal asked himself. He could hear Esther saying his name behind him. "What now?" Lowenthal said, turning around to see Esther now dangling from the sky.

"Esther!" Lowenthal called out, as a large vine slapped him across his chest, sending him scuttling back a few feet. Lowenthal rolled backwards onto his feet, sliding to a stop. Lowenthal rushed forwards and attacked the Nepent Variant. And quickly killed it. It shattered to crystals, and Esther dropped. Lowenthal quickly stashed his dagger, and caught Esther as she fell. "Hello M'lady. Nice of you to drop by." Lowenthal said, setting Esther down onto the ground.

  6. Lowental nodded happily as Esther took the materials from him. "No issue. I found that being a tailor was quite boring. After everyone gets what they need, business slowed to a halt. Then, no need for me to craft anymore. Unless..." Lowenthal said, now in thought. "I could make you some armor. It could help you later on, when you'll be needing the buffs to luck or some armor if luck should fail you." Lowenthal said, offering his services. Then she offered her services to him, calling herself a nurse. Lowe's mind drifted to fantasy, Esther all dressed up in off pink scrubs. Lowenthal shook his head quickly, and regained control of his thoughts. "N-No matter!" He cheered, blushing. "I'm more than certain that the beast will drop what we need. There shall be no issue of that, I assure you." Lowenthal said.

  7. Lowenthal continued to stare at his foot as the vine 'tightened' it's grip. Apparently, the Nepent had Lowe exactly where it had wanted him. Lowenthal brought his wrapped foot back quickly, yanking the small creature towards him. Lowenthal completed his sword art again, and killed the Nepent in mid air. Lowenthal ran his hand through his hair. "Well, that was easy." Lowenthal said, turning back to Esther. "So, all we've got left is the big one, right?" Lowenthal said, losing track of how many of Nepents he had fought already. Lowenthal handed out two more materials he had just earned. "Here ya' go. Two more materials, just what the doctor ordered." Lowenthal joked.

  8. Lowenthal grinned as his dagger sliced into another Nepent. This was, boring. The spark of fighting something was long gone now, and none of this stimulated it. Then again, he was level thirty and nut crushing two, on the first floor. The Nepent fell, bursting into pixels mere seconds after it's comrade. Behind him Lowenthal could hear his name being cheered, and something tingle around his ankle. Looking down, he noticed a green vine holding him firmly. "Huh, well that's kinda painful." Lowenthal said as he looked back up, and sighed as the Nepent did a whopping, single damage to him.

  9. Lowenthal raised his hand and waved to Hirru as he approached the arranged meeting area. "Yo!" He called out. "You ready to get this started?" He asked the player. Last time they had actually met, outside of the guild Lowenthal was an orange player, a murderer of sorts. And in a bland rage the user attempted to strike at Lowenthal. After that, they had split paths, and eventually became members of the Knights of the Blood Oath. "So, debrief me. Why are we here?" Lowenthal asked, checking over his stats, and items.

  10. Lowenthal shook his head. "No no no, some are even bigger than that. And some are even smaller. Like this guy." Lowenthal said, making a small whistle. From his jacket came a rustling noise, as a small dog leapt out from his jacket. "This is Ninken, my familiar." He said, introducing the two of them. Ninken gave a small yip as he leapt from Lowenthal's shoulder and onto the ground. "There's a lot like him in the world, but different species and abilities." Lowenthal said, keeping his dagger at the ready in case a few more Nepents decided that it was a good idea to jump them.

Lowenthal had Ninken take lead whilst the two walked. "Some more Nepents should come out any time now." He said, staring through the trees. "Ah, there's a few. Keep your distance, but try to stay close enough to make sure that I don't kill them for no reason." Lowenthal said, jogging to the Nepents ahead. A small cluster of three noticed the man approaching them, and readied themselves for battle. Lowenthal slid under the first Nepents attack, and dug his kunai into one. Effectively eliminating one of the three, and slid to a stop in front of the last one.

  11. Lowenthal focused on the tentacle. How long had it been since he had actually fought these things? Lowenthal took a peek behind him when he heard Esther cry out. "I know! Isn't it exciting?" Lowenthal said, reversing the grip on his dagger. Sometimes, fighting seemed to be the only thing he was good at nowadays. Fighting came as a second nature, as easy as breathing. The Nepent brought one of it's vines back, such an obvious tell now. Lowenthal took a step forward, ducking down beneath the attack as it went wide above him. Lowenthal's dagger glowed orange as his sword art began. He slashed thrice quickly, the air current becoming a weapon themselves as they tore into the Nepent. The Nepent grew three large red lines across it's body before crumpling down into blue pixels. LD: 15 (+1 Material) Lowenthal took the dropped itme in hand, and offered it to Esther. "Here, you're gonna need this in the future." Lowenthal said to her.

  12. Lowenthal greeted everyone as they arrived. "Hey Zandra." Lowenthal perked up. "Haven't since you in a good minute. How you've been?" He asked eagerly, before she had entered the conversation. And by entered, he meant ever so rudely interjecting herself into the conversation. The words she spat onto the other people of the room made Lowe's blood boil. The hell was she even doing here, lording over them like she was some king of a nation. Did killing Dom really give her delusions of grandeur that badly? Lowenthal opened his mouth to speak back at the woman.

"Hey Opal, nice to see you again." He began. "Now if you're done being completely useless, like you are in the fights themselves, maybe we could get this meeting started?" He said, looking back over to Teayre. "The Knights of the Blood scout had mentioned that this was a wolf animal, covered in eyes and leaking some sort of green ooze. Either it be slime, or an acid still remains to be seen. He also disclosed that there were several pools of green liqued, assumed to be the same that leaked off of the boss, and that they reacted to the torches in the room." Lowenthal began. "Was there anything he missed?" Lowenthal asked Teayre as he prepared to ignore Opal completely.

  13. Lowenthal smiled. "Yeah. Thanks, I really needed this talk." He admitted to her. He couldn't explain it, but he felt as though she was supposed to meet him today. Like it was some sort of destiny. Ever since that fight with Mari, he had been feeling completely awful. And as it would just so happen, some stranger screaming about butts would come into his life and make everything better. He had to keep this meeting a secret from Shizuka. Lowenthal blushed and rubbed the back of his neck.

Lowenthal heard the rustle of a creature behind them, and his attention gazed to it. A lone nepent had tried to sneak up on them. But he would rue the day he tried to intervene. Lowenthal quickly drew and dagger and charged at the plant monster almost seamlessly, pushing Esther out of the way of the monster's attack. "Watch it!" He cried, as he stood between her and the Nepent. "Alright, get ready. I didn't get a hit on it, so it still may come after you." Lowe explained, preparing himself for a fight.

  14. Lowenthal scoffed as the woman pushed her way in front of him. That's not how it was supposed to work. She was supposed to feel bad, and slowly trail along, where he was supposed to say something witty to lighten the mood and they could move on. But no, she had to be like him. Lowenthal stayed silent as she spoke, trying to listen and understand the meaning behind every word. That all failed when she said that Mari had nothing bad to say about him. "She, didn't?" Lowenthal stuttered, trying to make sense of it. Lowenthal was taken aback again, as she then explained what he had just done.

Lowenthal stood there silent for a moment, before letting out a single chuckle. "huah, yeah. Sounds like something she'd day." Lowenthal said. "Minus the condescending eye roll and the head tilt, sounded exactly like Mari." Lowenthal said again. "And, sorry. As I'm sure she's mentioned. I'm kind of a blathering idiot, who's not good with words." Lowenthal chuckled again. "But, I can't apologize to her yet. I'm not, strong enough. Killing floor bosses is easy, gathering the courage to apologize is harder." Lowenthal admitted.

  15. Lowenthal stepped out of the Knights of the Blood Oath meeting hall, only to be hit with a quick succesion of messages. Apperently the other person that found the room had just now wanted an audience. Lowenthal looked at the info placed before him. Oikawa was there at least, which could mean Opal was there as well. Opal had used Oikawa as a means to an end, to kill both Zel and Dom in quick succession and Lowe didn't know if the two had planned it or not. Either way, he was to be careful. Calrex was there as well, which had to mean that Teayre had to be close behind him. Lowenthal looked behind him and saw it upon himself to represent the Knights of the Blood Oath.

"Good idea Jackasses, hold a meeting in the fricking dark. In the middle of nowhere." Lowenthal cursed to himself, tripping over another branch and nearly plummeting to the ground. Lowenthal regained his balance, and check his map to see if he was heading the correct direction still. It was another couple of minutes later that he managed to find the correct spot. "Hey." Lowenthal said, announcing his presence to the group. "Good to see you guys again." He said, his spartan cape draped over his shoulders making him look more regal than roguish. "Just got out of a meeting with the other KotB. At least those who bothered to show up." Lowenthal said, still frustrated that Mack had disappeared without notice. "Just here to confirm things really. Share strategies, and ideas and the like." Lowenthal said, leaning against a tree.

  16. Lowenthal stopped walking alongside Esther as she began to seemingly fan girl over the pink haired alchemist. His happy expression turned into one of concern. He looked under the health bar of Esther, and couldn't see that she was under the effects of any potions, or whatever else Mari may have up her sleeve. "So, you've met her too huh?" Lowenthal said, touching his hip where his dagger rested. He cursed himself for not noticing sooner. He had most likely fallen into a trap set by Mari herself. No, that wasn't like her. She wouldn't send some, woman out to act as bait. But then again, Lowe had been frequenting safe zones more and more often. And what better way to lure him out then with a 'oh please help me mr handsome knight'. Lowenthal removed his hand from his waist, and took a deep breath. "Look, Esther. Mari is, something but quite what you idolize her to be. She's manipulative, and those around her change. Always for the worst." Lowenthal said. "Take me for example." Lowenthal said holding his arms out. "Couple of years ago, I was honest, true, and hell even more handsome than now. But Mari changed it. I was like you in a sense. Mari took over my mind, not because of her looks or her talents. But her behavior. i wanted to know, how she kept moving on. After murdering her own daughter, to go on a kill another eight people." Lowenthal ran his hand though his hair.

"To summarize, it came to a point where I attacked her unprovoked. I almost killed her in my anger. And I've regretted it ever since." Lowenthal admitted. "So, just be careful around her. Don't let her make you someone you're not." Lowenthal said again. "But I've probably talked to much, let's just get back to your quest." He said, walking forward.

  17. Lowenthal blushed and chuckled. "Handsome? ANd help with out?" He asked to himself, his voice trailing off. Instead of pressing the question, he followed suit and escorted the woman out of town to her quest objective. The forest. Well, part of it was in the forest. The other part was actually delivering the medicine. Both of which were easy back then, but now should be easier than breathing.

"Not a bad cause to rally behind. God only knows how many people actually need the help. But you'll have compition in that department. Mainly Opal, Rain, Zandra. Opal's gone into hiding recently, so she's mostly a personal alchemist who makes things for herself. Then Rain and Zandra are pretty damn good alchemists at that. And God only knows how long Mari's been off the map." Lowenthal said, naming off a few of the notable alchemists in Aincrad. Lowenthal stopped walking as the party invite shot up in his face. "Aha! Maybe I will." Lowenthal said accepting the invite. His level and HP now visible to the woman beside him. "Party invite never hurt anyone. Well, that I know of." Lowenthal said chuckling.

  18. Lowenthal let out an audible gasp as Esther gripped his jacket. "It doesn't take anything special." Lowenthal said quickly. "All it needs, is to be bought and it works fine." Lowenthal removed himself from the woman's grasp, straightening his jacket back out to it's normal uncreasedness. "Alchemist huh? Well, at least you'll be busy. Come around every new boss fight, there comes about twenty people wanting a whole lot of potions and crystals.Lowenthal bit his lip when Esther had brought up 'he'.

"Well, I did that quest with someone. A long time ago. And it's because of him that I'm here now, out adventuring, fighting the good fight, and helping young damsels in distress." Lowenthal said, boasting slightly. "It's been so long, that I've forgotten his name." Lowenthal said glumly. "But you're right, focus on one thing at a time. Let's get this quest started, shall we?" Lowenthal said.

  19. "Calrex! You blew my cover. I suppose you're going to tell them that I'm Knights of the Blood next?" Lowenthal complained. The rouge Mappi halted in his attacks. "Front.....liner....?" He spoke slowly, now realising the drastic mistake he had made. Lowenthal spoke. "Yes, front liner. Now Cal, no stealing my limelight. This is thier dish soap, they soak in it." Lowenthal said to Calrex before turning back to the man, who had completely disappeared. "H-Hey, where'd he go!?" Lowenthal said looking around. Lowenthal kicked at the ground. "Dammit. Here I was going to let him has his fun, and you Cal had to scare them off" Lowenthal said, teasing Cal. Lowenthal had also noticed that the other one had slinked away as well.

  20. Lowenthal tilted his head. Why was she enunciating it like that? Lowenthal cleared his throat. "Whilst, Search and Detect helps you with finding materials, at most you'll only find at one time is one. However, there is a new skill that was found recently that lets you find more than just the one. It's a bit of an investment, but it increases it from one material to three." Lowenthal explained, looking at his own skill list. He didn't have the mentioned skill, but it was available to him to purchase.

Lowenthal crossed his arms, in thought. "Medicine of the Forest? Man, it' been a long time." Lowenthal looked away, staring off into the distance. "I wonder how he's doing." He said quietly to himself. He returned back to normal, looking at Esther. "Well, shouldn't be terribly trifling." Lowenthal remembered the quest. Only thing to it was slay a few Nepents and get on with your day. Nothing terribly too difficult. Then again, this was the first floor and he was currently frontlining. He would be surprised if anything did happen to challenge him. "Alright, you've got yourself a deal. I'll give you hand." Lowenthal said, accepting the woman's request.

  21. Lowenthal nodded. "I'd say that I'm good enough of one. Fighting on the frontlines tends to push you sometimes." He said, rubbing his hand as Esther returned it. He hadn't even noticed them become so worn. And they'd never look like this again, once he'd beat SAO and returned everyone to the real world. His attention returned to her as she spoke again. She brought up her HUD and displayed her stats and skills. Surprisingly, she had no weapon skill allocated. That, was something new. Lowenthal scratched his head. "You can always allocate your points into a different skill. Like First Aid, or Search and Detect." Lowenthal suggested. "Hell, maybe even an armor skill. Focus on keeping you alive and safe, for time when I can't be there." Lowenthal said, smiling.

  22. Lowenthal shook his hands in front of him. "No no, it's fine. I'm not looking for a spot to sit." Lowenthal said, with an attempt to make the woman in front of him more comfortable and less erratic. Lowenthal ran his hand through his hair. "Yeah, people can be real butts at times." Lowenthal said, unable to force himself to laugh at the poor attempt of a joke he made. At least she was able to recover with her own joke.

Lowenthal took a step back as she stood, allowing her plenty of room to stand, as he took her hand to shake it. "Esther?" Lowenthal repeated, making sure he managed to get the pronunciation correct. "I'm Lowenthal. And the feeling is mutual. Hard to find like minded people who share in butt related humour." Lowenthal said, releasing the woman's hand. "But butts is not what I'm here for. Obviously you need a hand with something, and if able, I'm more than willing to lend a hand." He said with confidence in his voice.

  23. After a long and greuling trip with Calrex on the second floor, Lowenthal walked back tot he first floor. Located there was his favorite place to relax and get something to drink. He made his way there, and pulled up a seat, and ordered his usually smoothie. Lowenthal sat there for a few hours, passing the time and letting his muscles and body recover. He sat there talking about his adventures to those who would listen.

Lowenthal noticed that a few other customers were looking at the window, and murmuring quietly. Lowenthal squinted at them, as if his ears were at all affected by his eyesight.
    "She's still out there?"
"IWhat is she even trying to do?"

Lowenthal curious as to what they were talking about looked out the window himself. He could see a pink haired girl talking to other players. What she was asking was completely muffled by the building. But from her actions, it seemed that she was trying to get some help. Perhaps she was lost, or even looking for someone. Lowenthal sighed, before stepping outside. Why pink hair, it always had to be pink hair. Lowenthal gave in, and decided to see what it was she needed help with, and if he could help in anyway, he would.

Lowenthal approached the bench the woman had retreated to, most likely in frustrating defeat. Lowenthal listened to the girl's rant as she vented. Lowenthal grinned, and held back a chuckle as she cried out about butts. He let out a small cough, alerting the woman to his presence. "Ahem, I'll have you know that some people take great pride in their butts. Some of us work hard on them." Lowenthal said, jokingly to the woman.
