  1. Lowenthal turned as he heard his name called. "Oh hey Calrex." Lowenthal said almost nonchalantly."It's been a good minute hasn't it? How's the wife?" Lowenthal asked. Last time he had seen Calrex was when they had gone dungeon hunting that one time. There sure was a good bit to talk about now at least.

"Dammit! Pay attention to me! I'm your enemy here!" The man man said, running at Lowenthal. Lowenthal sidestepped, and effortlessly dodged the man's kick. "So Calrex," Lowenthal continued. "You hear that I gave Hikoru Shadowed Path?" Lowenthal looked back at the man who attacked him. "You done yet?" The man balled his fist, and punched the ground letting out an aggravated grunt. The man stood up and tried to hit Lowenthal again, but Lowenthal effortlessly dodged each blow.

"C'mon boss! Just hit him already!" Albos cheered. He looked up to Calrex. "What poor fate that your friend there has to face the might of Mappi the rouge! The most feared player killer this side of Aincrad. He has hundreds of people slain, and not a single monster can stand the might of his kicks." Albos chuckled.

  2. Lowenthal rotated his arm, stretching his virtual muscles. It had been such a long time since he had stepped into the arena. As it turned out, Suel had wanted to duel. Why himself, Lowe had no idea but obliged none the less. Arriving at the battle arena, Lowe raised his hand and waved to the man sitting down in the middle of the arena. "Hey there! Finally made it." Lowenthal said, wearing his knights of the blood jacket. "So humour me. Why challange me?" Lowenthal asked, resuming his stretches.

  3. Lowenthal strolled along the second floor, absent mindedly minding his own business. Lowenthal opened his inventory and pulled out a paper. He sat down underneath a tree, and read it to himself. "Chance of war between the Elves and Treants more likely..." Lowenthal said to himself aloud. "Hope it's just a rumour." A small yip broke the silence and small tension as Ninken announced his presence. "Hey there boy, you hear something?" Lowenthal said, turning his head now able to hear it. Lowenthal rolled from his position, a dagger now stuck into the log that was his sitting spot.

"Well, we've got a lively one!" A voice shouted out. A figure leapt down from the trees and landed next to the dagger. "Albos, you missed. Are we gunna hav' to re-educate ya'?" The figure called out, ignoring Lowenthal completely. Lowenthal turned his head to see a small  and frail looking man emerge. "N-No Boss! It shant happen again!"

Lowenthal stood up, his dagger drawn. He sighed. "Alright, let's get this over with then." He said, readying himself. "Have at it then."

  4. Lowenthal leaned his chair back as he listened to the players converse about the boss room. He had been thinking about it this whole time, about the boss, it's room, previous bos fights, among other things. Lowenthal let out a loud cough before speaking. "So, assuming that the boss spits a green goo and creates a bunch of geleten monster is fine and all. But how the hell does that make sense?" Lowenthal said, leaning his chair back on all fours. "Every boss mob in he past that had spare dregs to throw at us, had some sense of reason to them. Leo and his three hundred spartans. That monkey, and it's cultists. Limbo and it's spiders. Everyone of them had mobs that made sense. Im bending everything in my mind to make 'wolf' and 'jelly monster' work, but it just aint clicking." The sandy haired warrior replied scratching the back of his head.

"And we can't just assume that they'll be mobs in the room. Take a look at the tenth floor boss fight. Instead of extra mobs, there was another mechanic in place where it healed a great amount of HP in a turn." Lowenthal said, remembering his talks with Mari. At least before their falling out. "Another thing that's been bugging me. You guys are also assuming that the boss is 'creating' those puddles of liquids. I'm thinking that he uses it for survival, as in drinks from them." Lowenthal said explaining his thoughts. "I'm more curious as to what would happen if we took a whole torch and tossed it into the puddles." Lowenthal thought aloud.

  5. Lowenthal stared at the blood infused door. "Th-that's nothing. I'm sure it's got like, two things behind it. All level ones." Lowenthal said, letting out a light chuckle. Then, Hikoru let out a scream as something banged on the door. Lowenthal spun, his dagger drawn in an instant, his breathing fast and shallow. "JESUS!" Lowenthal exclaimed, entering a laugh. "Gave me, a ddamn good spook there. Ah, fekking hell." Lowenthal said, sheathing his dagger as he walked off looking for a key of any sorts.

    ID: 66480   LD:1

Lowenthal entered the closest room to him. Searching the room lead to no key like results, but he did find something else. "Hey, Hikoru. Look what I found. Boogah boogah boogah!" Lowenthal said, holding a human skull in his hands, and making the jaw move. Lowenthal chuckled at his small joke, as he tossed the skull back into the room. "Yeah, no key there either. Maybe whatever's behind that door has it?" Lowenthal thought aloud. That was a normal thing in games, was for a large mob of some kind carry the means to proceed. Either it be a key, or conveniently crushing something.

  6. Lowenthal ran his had through his sandy hair as he stepped into the building that was his guilds' base of operations. It bustled with a plethora of people, those he recognized and a mass of those he didn't. The guild had a lot of members, but only a small handful that went out and front lined. Even their leader, Heathcliff, couldn't be on the front lines, as he was preoccupied with trying to manage such a large guild. What didn't help that, was that Mack had gone awol on the guild as well. And when Lowenthal had more guild affinity than someone else, something was wrong.

Lowe's footsteps clattered and echoed off the marbled floor as he made his way to the front lines meeting room. It was a spacious room, with a round table and a plethora of chairs that stood around it. The wooden door creaked, and echoed as Lowe opened it, and entered the room. At first glance, he could see only three other players. Seul, Hirru, and Mac without a 'K'. Lowenthal let out a small whistle. "Wow, I'm early. That's unsettling." Lowenthal said, closing the door behind him. He made his way over to the table, and pulled up a seat. As Lowenthal sat down, he leaned on the table. "So, before we get started a couple of questions." Lowenthal said, talking to Mac. "One. Will the boss info be shared publically, or will we keep it a secret? Two. The actual hell, is Mack in all of this?" Lowe interjected a bit angerly. "I mean, I understand why Heathcliff can't be here, but the hell is Mack's deal? What's he doing that's so damn important that he can't be here to help us?" Lowenthal asked, knowing that he would get a 'I don't know what Mack's doing' answer from everyone in the room.

Lowenthal let out a quick breath from his nostrils, venting his frustration. "But hey, at least I'm here. KotB's best DPS. So, let's talk business." Lowenthal said, eager to start the meeting.

  7. Lowenthal stiffed a chuckle as he turned to look at Hikoru. "Ouh come on Hikoru. Scared?" Lowenthal asked sarcastically, giving a spooky chuckle. "We'll be in and out before ya' know it. Let's just not do horror movie cliches. Like, split up. Or investigate strange noises emanating from the cellar." Lowenthal said, waving his hand in the air. To be honest, he wasn't all too comfortable going into the Pysch Ward of an abandoned hospital. In fact it was in the top fives places that he wanted to avoid at all times. Lowenthal turned back around and stretched. "Well, here goes." Lowenthal said taking the first steps inside of the building.

As Lowenthal entered the building lit up. And by lit up, he meant one or two fluorescent bulbs flickered in the distance. The low buzzy hum of a faulty bulb echoed and filled the hall, as his footsteps echoed ever so slightly. Lowenthal exhaled, only to see his breath take to the air. The hall was built like a prison. An elongated hallway, with rooms mirrored on either side. As lowenthal pressed onward, the smell of rotten wood and dried paint filled his nostrils. Also noted, was that some of the doors were open and dark. Other were closed, thier contents unknown. Lowenthal pressed onward until he reached the end of the halway. Lowenthal pressed against the door, only to see it would not move. A tutirial pop-up appeared.

-Picking 3 required(DC:10) or :Ward Key: needed-

Lowenthal's eye twitched at the popup. "Since when the hell was lock picking a thing?" Lowenthal said, kicking the door. He turned to face his compatriots. "Well, unless one of you two has got three ranks in lock picking. We need a key." He said, crossing his arms.

  8. (Xion skipped for missing the 24 hour deadline, and suffers the -10HP penalty)

Lowenthal quickly closed the reward menu that had appeared before him. He spun around, and noted the amount of Spartans that still had to be dealt with. Instead of engaging, Lowenthal stood back, only meaning to fight if he was attacked himself. After a few full force attacks, his energy was dwindling and it needed to recharge if he was going to be useful. And another thing was that he was lacking in the AoE attack department. Judging from the attacks that some other players were putting out, his measly AoE would be next to nothing. It would be better to just stick to the outside, pick off a stray or two, and stay out of everyone else's way. Lowenthal heard someone talking to him through the clash of battle. Turned out, that someone was none other than Ariel. The look on her face showed that she was agitated with something. Probably just as displeased as he was at the length of the boss fight. Lowenthal held his hands up in defense. "I'm not grinning about anything. In fact, I'm quite useless at this point. Boss is dead, and I lack an AoE to do anything worthwhile." Lowenthal said to the blonde warrior.

  9. Lowenthal rubbed the back of his head. "Yeah, I guess we didn't die. But someone did..." Lowenthal said to Jomei, keeping his mumbling to himself. Lowenthal saw the tunnel and entered it without drawing his weapon. Lowenthal didn't fear what lurked in the dark, but something else. And what he feared wasn't Hikoru either. But none the less, he pressed onwards waiting for everyone else to come through. "Tartarus isn't be that bad. I mean, I spent some time here training with Mari and we spent a few days in there." Lowenthal said, unable to see Tartarus fully. Lowenthal took a peek behind him and could clearly see Jomei exit the tunnel, followed by Hikoru. "Jomei, you lead the way. It's been a good while since I've been there so my mind's a bit fuzzy on the directions." Lowenthal said, rubbing the back of his head.

  10. "NOSE!" Lowenthal shouted out with excitement as he looked up at the massive head that loomed above. Lowenthal called up to it, surpressing his giggles. "Sorry about that!" Lowenthal said waving at the creature that had just sneezed the two out. Lowenthal stood up, only now realizing that he had landed on Calrex. "Heh heh, sorry." Lowenthal picked up his dagger, and sheathed it. "Well, I think I've had enough dungeon hunting today. Maybe again sometime later. Like, in a week or so" Lowenthal said, rubbing the back of his head. "But no doubt in my mind that was fun, as well as taxing." Lowenthal said, mostly to him self. "But no, seriously. I had a great time and all, but I'm not eager to go head first back into caving like that again." Lowenthal reiterated. "I'm out, peace." Lowenthal said, before retreating back to the seventh floor town hub to teleport home.

  11. Lowenthal looked up as the Time-Spinners leapt down from above. Lowenthal dashed backwards to avoid the surprise attacked. "Little bastards, almost had us." Lowenthal said to himself. Calrex had already used his Howl ability and drawn all of the Time-Spinner's attention. The mobs were on such a small and thin ledge, Lowe reckoned he could hit all four at once. And, for the first time ever, Lowenthal activated his only AoE skill. His body dashed forward to met Calrex, and behind him the mobs fell and turned to pixels. "That was easy. Wish they were all like that." Lowenthal said, half jokingly.

  12. Lowenthal followed Calrex closely. "Alright, about damn time." Lowenthal said. "As much as I love oversized dark and dank caves, this place was starting to lose it's homely touch." Lowenthal joked as he began to ascend. Lowenthal's ear's perked as he heard rocks clatter from above. "Ready up, I don't we're alone. You take point, I'll cover." Lowenthal said, noting Cal's obvious tankiness in comparison to his own. Lowe couldn't tank anything for crap, by literal definition Lowe was a glass cannon, he was able to dish the damage, but not take it.

  13. Lowenthal watched as Hikoru dissapeard from site, and let out a sigh. He used his extended hand to run his hair back. If Lowenthal squinted,he could see the faint outline of Hikoru in the shadows. Lowenthal made eye contact with him, before looking back to Jomei. "Forgive me, it's been a moment. Hikoru and I went on a quest together and some of it went south. I lost my cool and said some things I regret. But, I'm trying to make up for it." Lowenthal said loud enough for the stealthed fighter to hear clearly. "Hikoru's not just an old student, but he's a friend." Lowenthal said, regarding the time that Hikoru came to him for help grandmastering his dagger skill. "But, where's this banshee anyway?" Lowenthal said, placing his arms behind his head.

  14. As for the Tailor/Blacksmith roles, tailors can already create whips. (Only leather ones) but only with damage. Im fune with how blacksmiths and tailors currently stand.

What I do want to see if the clear difference between light armor and heavy armor. Heavy armor is slow, cumbersome, and thick. So it shouldnt get enhancemebts like Recovery, or Evasion. Whilst the same is vice versa. Light Armor shouldnt have damaging enhancements like thorns (how does that even work?) Or mitigation past 1 rank. Light armor should be used by those who don't want to get hit, and dodge every attack. Heavy Armor ahould be used by those who can take a beating.

Performers are another concern of mine, as I play bards all the time in other table tops. Performer songs should be able to do either one or the other. And that is either buff the party or debuff a mob. If we adapt your proposed boss battle system then a performer would be a godsend.

    1 tank, 1 dps, 1 performer, 1 support.

Tank for soaking damage, dps for dishing it iut, performer to provide appriate buffs either it be a dmg buff or something else, and the support to keep everyone alive.

Thats just my 2 cents on the subject, i can type more when in jot on a phone xD

  15. "Or at least they attack us one at a time. If we get swamped again, I don't have the energy for that." Lowenthal said, chuckling slightly. His strongest move took a chunk on his energy, and not to mention that Calrex's damage output was only just slightly under his own. Lowenthal missed his night vision. Hell, Lowenthal missed a lot of things. But he tried to keep himself above water, and focus on the shoreline ahead. "Alright Cal, my energy's full. Ready when you are." Lowenthal said, readying his dagger hearing something getting closer.

  16. Lowenthal nodded his head, not like Calrex could see it. "You mean even with all of those fancy skills of yours you can't even see in the dark? Tsk tsk Calrex, you're slacking." Lowenthal said, playing with the man as he watched his energy regai slowly but surely. Just a few more moments and he'd be ready for combat again. "How many more do you think we have till we're home free? Getting kinda sick and tired of all of this dark." Lowenthal commented aloud as the two traversed the darkness.

  17. "Alright, high five!" Lowenthal said in cheer as Calrex killed the boss mob. "Good [censored]. Now, wheres the exit I wonder?" Lowenthal said, trying to look around. The low light made everything almost impossible to see, and Mari wasnt here to lend her nught vision for him this time. "Cant see a damn thing." Lowenthal cursed to himself squinting into the darkness. "You see anything?" Lowenthal asked the bluenette beside him.

  19. With much sentiment to the entire idea of even asking for her help, Lowenthal entered the shop anyway. The door's bell chimed as it opened, and Lowenthal stepped in. He raised a single hand in greeting. "Yo, Tea. Long time no see." Lowenthal said, stepping up to the counter. He had ditched out on her several times before when questing with the woman, nd occansially flirted with Calrex behind her back. "I need a favour. I'm wanting to propose to a woman, but I need rings made up. I can't exactly make them myself. Else I would, but." Lowenthal said, placing 1200Col on the counter. "I need one perfect, and one just vanity. I'm resuming the front lines, but she's basically retired now." Lowenthal said, thinking of Shizuka. "If possible, can the ring have some accuracy, and evasion?" Lowenthal said, wanting his build to be better.

  20. Lowenthal was lazing about, as is normal when you're a higher level and grown bored with just about everything. He almost jumped when he got a message from an old friend. "Oh hey, Jomei sent a message. That's new." Lowenthal spoke to himself aloud. Lowenthal loafed on his couch in the privacy of his own home. He spoke aloud to Shizuka, the woman whom he was enamored with, and currently lived with him. Like she ever listened to him, she would probably say that he mumbled or something like that. Lowenthal opened the message and peered at it's contents. "Banshee? I supposed I do owe him for skipping out on him and Zandra." Lowenthal stood up froim his couch, his white jacket brushing it gently. "Shiz hunny, I'm off. Jomei needs a hand on floor 10, and I'm obliged to help." Lowenthal said. After hearing confirmation from his love, he walked outside and walked to the tenth floor.

Walking took a lot longer than just teleporting, but it was a nice journey. It was on floor ten where he had met Mari for the first time. And it was on floor eleven where he last met her. "I wonder, how she is now." Lowenthal thought to himself, somberly. Mari was infamously known as a murderer. A person who had killed, what was it again, nine people? But after talking, and prying Lowenthal learned the truth. About Mari, about her 'murders' and most of all, more about himself. He let out a sigh in remembrance, as he walked. After a few minutes he came up to a familiar shape. Lowenthal raised a hand to Jomei. "Hey Jomei! I recognize that tuft of hair anywh-" Lowenthal cut himself short, as he looked ahead.

"Hikoru." Lowenthal said, his teeth clenched and his fist clenched even tighter. It wasn't long before when Lowenthal had assisted Hikoru with a quest. And in that quest, Hikoru killed a man just to obtain an item to increase his strength in the game. "The hell, are you doing here?" Lowenthal questioned, placing himself between Jomei and the man he called his friend. Lowenthal calmed himself down, realising that Jomei had probably been the one to invite Hikoru in the first place. "Hey, Hikoru." Lowenthal said, almost sheepishly. "I'm, sorry. I lost my cool then, and said some things." Lowenthal said, in a more happy tone. He extended a hand out to Hikoru. "We can talk more about it later, but first we have a banshee to kill." Lowenthal said, his clothes glowing slightly even in the dark.
