  1. After Cal's last attack, Opal didn't hesitate to keep the pressure on Kefka. She hurled herself like a bullet, albeit a slower one but just as deadly. She shifted on her right fun and spun around sweeping her long blade across his chest. The barrage came again with a little more ease than the last, but coming directly into his red zone. The clown moved back and forth between her blows, the status effect no longer holding him in place. The barrage sent him further back crashing into the wall where Opal continued her assault.

"And a left! And a right! And another left! Beat him up, Master! Destroy him!"

The last art sounded off with a vicious cross slash as Kefka was dazed from the drop of his HP. There was no more laughing, there was only silence. Opal took a leap backwards, "He's almost done for. One more attack and he'll be finished off. I was getting sick of that laughing too. Kind of ironic, don't you think?"

  2. She began to prowl in the darkness waiting for the opportunity to strike. Her blade held in both hands as she watched Calrex gain the attention of the Jester; Kefka. Her eyes followed the attacks, his battle plan was sound and he struck a good blow rattling the Jester back. From the shadows she <charged> and lifted the Masamune high above her head. She lunged forward with her blade stretched out, giving a battle cry in her effort. The blade began to glow into the violet aura it usually bestowed as the sword art activated. Sweeping the blade with a cross slash, the Jester shifted his gaze from Calrex to Opal.

"Didn't see that comin', didya?" Another quick strike to his chest, then another. Strikes were stricken across his large frame as she drove the insane Jester back to his self claimed throne where he toppled over with a laugh. She had taken a nice chunk of his HP down due to her combined charge and sneak attack, but there was plenty fight left in this clown. His laughed continued as he swept his over sized scythe around in his hand. His mumbling laughter filled the air as he gave off an eerie presence. "Oh things are just warming up, sweetheart. Let the real games begin!"

  3. "Right." The woman watched from a small distance as Calrex changed into his previous armaments. Opal took a look at herself and found nothing needed to be changed for the moment. Everything was set and ready to go, all that was left was the Boss and they could head out, "It's breaking 2:30 am Server time. You are keeping me out way past my bedtime." A joking smile to break the tense thickness in the air. The woman took in a slow, heavy breath and made her way to the fuzzy violet colored aura. The door was locked but as soon as they got close to it, the darkness around it began to dissipate into the air. The woman eyed the darkness as it fluttered away, and once more came the mad laughing of whatever it was inside.

It unnerved her to hear such a laughter in such a desolate and dark place. "Ready?" the woman gave her partner a quick look before her attention was reverted back to the door. As the door swung open, the woman stopped to peer inside, Jaken on her heels as he walked slowly, his staff tapping against the ground with each motion of his waddling legs. "You won't be able to see me, but I'll be here. I'm gonna sneak up on his left and attack on his flank." The former Vice Commander said, giving a Calrex that should would disappear in a blink. Keeping her body hugging the wall, she disappeared in that darkness. The room slowly lit with mild illuminating torches. The Boss was named...Kefka and he indeed wore a Jester styled suit. He was quite mad from the constant laughter expelling from his mouth and that wild looking scythe twirling in his hand.

"Come out! Come out and play my little children! We're gonna have ourselves a party!"

  4. "Here's to hoping." she said. Already bad luck was piling on to her. If they weren't successive misses, then they were successive fails. Her violet eyes scanned the HP of the remaining Knights and nodded. To the best of her ability, she held the grip of her Masamune and sent her body flying into the fray. With a sweep of her blade, she shot forward in graceful display. Slamming her foot down in the ground, she twisted and spun in a half circle to jerk the four mobs into the center. Two more swipes with her blade and the creations were destroyed. Colored fragments of their digital flesh now exposed and flecked off before being carried away into oblivion. She took in a deep breath and slowly exhaled as she looked over her shoulder.

"That's the lot. And there is our boss room." The woman pointed to a door that was buzzing with a smokey purple aura fixed around it. Using her <Reveal> skill, she looked inside and found it mostly empty. She wasn't sure what was inside but there was a rather menacing looking silhouette walking back and forth and then there it was. The creepy laugh after the dong of the Bell Tower. Her skin felt like it was gathering goosebumps.

"Right. We might end up fighting a Jester for the Boss. Since it's only a single target, I won't need to worry about energy. So I am good to go when you are. However, I will probably take to the shadows behind you. I can get a surprise attack in and possibly stun on my turn. You wanna switch out to your DPS gear? I don't think the boss will hit nearly as hard as the four mobs we have been running into."

  5. She turned her attention once more as the Knights shambled towards her Guardian. He was fixed in position and ran them back as their bodies were treated with a case of thorns. They were thrown back and were encaptured by the status effect of being paralyzed. That was a sound plan, now it was time to compound that and turn it further into an advantage. With her blade parallel to her body once more and the violet creation of the sword art transfixed over the blade. The woman shot forward, her foot work making the way towards the mob group as she began to eviscerate their bodies much like she had done previously. Three point blank sweeps came from her blade as she ripped through armor and flesh. Streaks of orange glamoured their body with damage as she finished her movements and got them down to the red.

"Yes. Just a little more, we can take them down soon. One or two more hits should do. I could sweep them on my next attack, that is if I can hit them. " her inner thoughts produced a gloomy smirk, she was not having the best of luck today with accuracy.

  6. There was a violet bang in her cauldron, Opal's eyes lit up with surprise as perhaps maybe she put a little too much 'oomph' in her experimentation. The woman shot backwards as the cauldron bubbled and boiled. The liquid began to spill out over the brim as the ladle was taken prisoner within the slop. The green ooze made it way down the side of her cauldron and spilling into the flame beneath, There was a loud bang once more and the room erupted into a fog of black smoke. Opal took off her hat and began waving it around in the room to clear out the smoke. She moved towards her cauldron as it settled down and peered inside, "Eww...I can't do much with this today." The woman found her ladle now floating and she took the gooey thing and set it on one of her desks.

  7. "Huh? Yeah." Her voice somewhat shaky and her focus had blurred for the moment. She wobbled for a moment before slamming her foot down on the ground and the tip of her long sword holding her steady. A bead of sweat dropped from her cheek and she gave a low growl breaking for the group of Lost Knights. Her katana blade coated with a violet light as she stepped forward, a long sweeping action of her sword with both hands rendered the Knights a grave wound upon their deteriorating bodies. Her foot pivoted and her body whipped around with a turn, snow white hair bouncing around and whipping along with her body with another carved strike to their frames. Once more she clutched her blade with both hand and reversed her swing, shattered their armor with a blow to their figures. The sword art was now on cool down and she watched as their eyes were still transfixed on Calrex.

She was finally able to make a successful attack without getting her senses mixed up on what this place was doing to her. How was she the only one affected by this pseudo madness? Perhaps she was being eaten away at the guilt she felt, her actions during this game. She gave a low grunt and shook her head taking a step back.

"I'm really not enjoying myself right now. But I think I am alright for the time being."

  8. Opal's eyes turned along with her head, her name was being called over and over again like a damn remix record. She sighed, they had been arguing. This was supposed to be a team based Boss Raid, but already they were at each other's throats. Opal knew much of the drama would be because of her and being in a team that wished her not to be there. She was not trusted still and there was no way to repair those bonds no matter what it meant. The woman stood up and looked at Jaken, "Seems like this is gonna be a harrowing adventure for us, Jaken. I don't think there are too many people who are fond of me being here. But that is something they'll have to deal with. I can't make right by not being here." The woman stretched her body and took a moment of clarity for herself. She closed her violet eyes and allowed her thoughts to sink in before turning around the corner.

"The Spectrum Unit has a free spot open. I already discussed this with Calrex, should you feel I am too untrustworthy for your guild, Macradon. I will take the remaining spot in that group. I was hoping the Knights of the Blood Oath, the guild I had built to help Front Lines become a powerful army. But right now, I see you arguing and among one another and name calling. There was supposed to be honor upon that Symbol you wear, the crest means something. What happened to the Oath? Have you forgotten?" The woman held up a hand, "But that was MY Knights of the Blood Oath. And my Oath still stands even if I am dead to you all. We are here for one thing, to fight a raid boss. Let's get our head in the game and focus on that. I'll be fine in whatever team, as much as you don't like it, I can still play a legit player. I swore I would not kill anyone here and I tend to keep to that promise."

Flicking her eyes back to Teayre and her blade, the woman gave a look daring her to draw her blade, "Yeah, give me a reason to put you down right now." Her inner thoughts would mingle at the player and her threatening stance and yet she reiterated, "Fortunately, we are all here built on trust not to kill each other. Let's prove this game we have not lost all of our humanity. Someone people are wishing to be redeemed for their past. Is that not right, Teayre. Let's show them we are better people now."

  9. Quick like lightning came the flash of the <Iai> sword art. Opal knew what was coming as her body froze in place from the long drawn attack of the katana. The woman stood and eyed the player through her mask, she was stunned and there was nothing more she could do from there on. She stood silent for the time being, unable to register a thought rather than the beating heat inside her cloak. Opal's eyes rolled lightly, as she felt the beads of sweat traverse her body underneath this cloak and hood, still questioning how others were able to comfortably wear this attire and not be baked alive.

Unable to move, the sweat continued to roll off her brow through the mask, she'll have to wait it for the time being until she could free her hands from this status effect. "Very good job, you stunned me. Take your free shot and let's get this over with. I rather you finish me off than this heat. Besides it looks like the area is thinning out. A Masquerade sounds interesting though. After this duel, I'll reveal who I am to you. And let you decide whether you wish to invite me or not after that."

  11. In preparation for the Boss Raid, Opal deciding to be less bitch and more frontliner. She had been wondering how they would accept her after her unfortunate loud mouth attitude had got her a yelling from Calrex. Clearing her throat and adjusting her witchy hat, because being in costume, especially during this time of year, made this all much more magical. And hopefully she wouldn't get so screwed over with her creations. Taking a handful of her materials, the woman dropped them into her boiling cauldron and stirred the contents and waited for whatever may happen. There was a light bubbling before the liquid cooled and the contents were created.

She placed the tip of her nail between her black lips and gave a small smile, "I guess that's better than nothing."

  12. Opal stood among the familiar faces of the Boss raid. After the meeting, she probably didn't make the greatest impressions after threatening the orange players there among the others that were present. She stood before them before taking a rather dry throated gulp and strode forward with a confident look about her. She did not nod to anyone, she simply walked and made her way to the forefront of every that would be of attendance.

"I had made a promise that I would not do anything mischievous during the boss raids, and I have kept my word. Therefore I wish to tell you all now, I remain a Frontliner even though I am part of a Player Killer group. I once again vow and make promise that no one shall die from my blade today while you all are fighting to save everyone in Aincrad from this prison." Opal had to chose her words carefully, there were two among the group that knew of her true intentions to destroy Laughing Coffin from the inside out, but that was only part of her plan. She would destroy every Orange Crystals player as well for revenge of the fallen innocent lives that have been taken from this game by their hands. Only a Monster such as her can kill another monster. Only a murderer can kill another person.

With her violet eyes on everyone, she stood once more with their attention, "Ugh, that is all I have to say. Should you need any items from me, I shall give what I have to offer. I have two Safeguards at the moment. Should you need one.."

Opal sat two safeguard potions down next to her from her inventory, "You have no reason to trust me and my potions. I have lied to all your faces and some of you felt betrayed by my actions when I took a player's life. And then had a hand in the course of taking another's, I acted as a Puppet Master to Oikawa. I don't seek forgiveness, just a chance once again help you all out. Whether you wish to trust a player killer or not is up to you."

A silver vial of her Safeguard Potion now worked its way through her armor, giving her an temporary silver aura before it slowly faded away. She should take this time now and prepare for more.

"Jaken, let's not disturb anyone else. Come with me." The familiar that had been walking with her now began his forward motion as they took a desolate area of the area and made preparations.

  13. Opal turned her attention towards the Lost Knights, that's exactly what they were. Fallen, Lost, whatever the case it had been, they were no longer of this world. However their ties to this castle remained steadfast, even if they were mindless ghouls or a case of zeros and ones at one time or another they were respected Guardsmen of the Castle. It would be best to put the NPC souls to rest and let them move on through their digital decayed flesh. Opal would seek that out with her own Masamune, but the sound of rolling thunder had caught her attention and in the distance there was a chiming of a bell or a clock of some sort.

The place was already lit up with a mysterious spooky nature, the crumbling walls, the decayed servants, the howling of the wind and the earth shattering force of thunder outside all accumulated into what she would imagine be the perfect recipe for a Haunted Castle. Too bad it was not real, but they had seen ghosts or something of the lore to an extent within the game. Had she seen Lindow wake from his death she would have been a believer of sorts. But right now, that chiming was unnerving her greatly. Every tick, every beat grabbed at her chest and seized her life. She fell down to one knee and gave the Lost Knights a blank stare, "I can't concentrate with all this racket." The woman muttered under her breath. She slowly stood up once more, an apologetic look on her face. This was becoming a nuisance that this castle was bringing her down so much. He fears she had to conquer, she had to focus, get her mind right.

  14. As Jaken had somehow or another summoned an angry mob of Lost Knights, he had clung to her leg. The woman swept her blade across the four, that impish grin on her face. Her blade lifted and poised, both hands on the hilt as she was ready to strike. They growled lowly underneath their helmets, almost like a black smog escaping their weathered and worm eaten bodies. As she was about to lay down the hurt, Jkaen had yelled once more. Something ended up spooking him and he clutched onto her right leg yet again. Opal's feet moved from the momentum of Jaken's charge as he gripped tight and wouldn't let go.

With a 'umph' the woman stumbled forward, her blade stretching across the faces of the Lost Knights but cutting only the air around them. She growled and looked down at her familiar, scooping him up in her hand and then wildly tossing him behind her where he grunted and groaned with a shatter against the wall, "Damn it. Lost my opportunity to strike. Damn coward of an Imp, getting in my way like that. Alright, I'll try again..." The woman's feet slid apart and she positioned her sword upwards once again getting ready to strike, even in their state of being stunned and the worthless cretin that was her familiar, Opal was unable to make a clean strike.

  15. "Restored, finally." The woman said shifting her gaze to the bar. She looked down at her familiar as he continued to toil with her Masamune X, "Alright Jaken, it should be cleaned by now. Let me have it."

The former king Imp lifted his body off the ground and pushed the hilt towards his master as she clenched it in her right hand. She gave it a sweep or two and examined the blade of any impurities. She was satisfied with the quality of the blade and nodded, "Now I just need something to test it on." Her black lipstick that coated her lips curved as she beamed at her familiar.

"Ah! Yes, we should look for a few more mobs in the castle. Only a few more to go before the Entrance of the Servant is unlocked," the familiar spoke, voicing the lore and their objective at hand.

But Opal wasn't thinking about mobs to slay. Her violet eyes beamed at her familiar as Jaken gave an audible gulp, "Ugh, Master...I know what that look in your eye me--"

    "Run Jaken!!!"

"AHHHHH!!!!!" the familiar sped off into the darkness leaving the woman bent over and laughing out loud as her little familiar spooked and ran away in the darkness yelling and screaming at the top of his lungs. His image had disappeared into the darkness and the woman's giggle trailed off, "I was only teasing. I wouldn't actually kill him after I risked my own neck to save him. He'll be back-"

"AHHHH!!!!" that loud annoying yelling was coming back towards them as a small horde of zombie like Knights rattled their way towards them sluggishly in pursuit of Jaken, "Ugh. Well, guess we didn't have to look to hard to find the rest. Let's get this over with, Calrex. We only have a few more to kill before we can get to the Boss." The Familiar was now cowering behind Opal gripping tight to her leg, "Ugh, Jaken! Off!" she gave her foot a shake as he finally unlatched his vice grip from her leg. Sweeping the blade again, the woman pointed the blade towards the foes, "Alright. Let's get'em."

  16. The woman shrugged from his answer and her complaint about the need for such a thing. She had a horrible oral fixation and nicotine addiction. You could replicate the item but never the feeling it would actually give which is why it was always a half victory for her when she created her own stuff. When it came down to asking about Sensui, the woman gave a audible sigh as her violet eyes rolls.

"You are right, he does not do his own dirty work. As for the man himself, Sensui is a cover up name. I have already looked on the Monument of Life and there was no name or similar I have found of a player named Sensui in this game. I have asked quite a bit around about him. No one has ever partied with him or know his stats or what kind of skills he has. He carries with him a vanity rapier, that is all I know. I don't know his real skills or what kind of player attribute he would fall under. Why people follow him?" The woman began to stand up, and dusted her hands off as well as he legs and butt giving a pat or two freeing herself of any debris if there had been any.

"It is rather simple. He is a charismatic man, you can fall into his charm quite easily. He comes off as friendly and gentleman like. But there in is the lie. He is more cut throat than anyone else in the guild. They follow him around because he acts Kingly, they are easily persuaded by his charms. And he exudes confidence like no other player I have met before. Doesn't that tell you something?"

The woman was interested in Sensui for another matter she had yet to tell anyone, "But I believe there is something else going on behind his schemes. Something much darker than what we see with our eyes. He fits the bill, doesn't he? Confident, able to easily move people around as he sees fit. Almost like he were a Game Master of sorts...I've been thinking on it for some time and it might sound silly, but he could possibly be Kayaba. Don't you think? I know, its far'fetched of an idea. But I have seen him in combat once before the updates of course. But he seems almost unstoppable, able to land a hit after hit and almost never taking any true damage. It's like he is always protected by something. Perhaps he has a slew of Uniques we don't even know about yet. But whatever the reason may be. He is influential and is a Leader. People respect him and bow to him. But no one truly knows who Sensui is."

  17. He came with all the intents and purposes on dealing the first blow. Opal's items had helped her get a foot in on the Samurai, slipping to his left just the moment his blade would have pressed into her cloak. Even if he had grazed her, the woman had neatly side stepped out of the way of his rushing blade, "Too many cookies there, huh?" She said weighing in on his dilemma. She had raised her Kusangi to meet his, but while his momentum carried him away, her strike also fell short of the mark. She was annoyed she missed such an easy target and rolled her eyes through her mask. The sweat accumulated over her chest within the cloak and she was baking on the inside of the heavy thing.

Opal took a few steps back to gain a bit of distance between her and Baldur, lifting one arm up and over her collar she beat away the heat that was melting her from the inside, "Really now. Does it feel hotter than normal out here to you? This thing is such a discomfort. I don't wanna bake in this thing, so can we move this along and try not miss one another. Win or lose, I rather not get all sweaty and have my make up run under this thing, not when I have a Dancing Competition to win."

The woman sought out the crowd that was now getting smaller and smaller. What was going on? Did people start losing interest already? "Oh for fucks sake, why the hell are people leaving when the real fun hasn't even begun?" her tone was somewhat audible through her mask and hood, although she was just mostly complaining to herself. She rolled her eyes and swept a hand to adjust her hood and mask, "Alright. Enough playing around. I'm starting to get hot and pissy, let's get this done."

  18. Opal's eyes widened. To say she was surprised wasn't far off the mark. "I am both a tool and a form of entertainment for you, is that it?" She laughed and shook her head, "Well, seems like I have some usefulness to you as a frontliner still. Although I don't think the others would share your opinion of me. But that's fine, I need them to continue thinking I am nothing more than a mindless Player Killer. It is imperative they remain ignorant to my true intentions, Calrex. I'll clean out Laughing Coffin before I come after Teayre. So she still has some time. If then you decide to step in my way, well then, I guess we'll end it there when it finally comes. Until then, we both have our usefulness to each other."

The woman smirked with her dark lips, her body falling towards a wall as she leaned her back against it holding the Masamune in her hand before allowing it to drop to the floor with a clatter, "Look after my blade, Jaken." The familiar and his large eyes looked towards his master giving a nod as he wobbled over towards it and began to polish the steel. The woman folded her arms, "Ya know. I haven't had a cigarette in ages. Attempting to quit is a bitch, but the addiction is still there. That craving and want and desire. I honestly don't know what I am doing with myself most of the time, sometimes I know I am here and sometimes it feels like someone else is driving this body."

She turned her head and her eyes sank towards the floor, "When I came off that mountain, I hated this world so much and at the same time I felt, if I left here...what kind of person would I be in real life? I would have all these skills and all this knowledge, I wouldn't be the same woman as I was before I got in this place. There is a part of me that is scared of leaving now. Knowing how many players I will eventually end up killing, these people, could I justify that when I am out of here. Do you...regret taking the life of that man on the HIll?"

It had not been forgotten, but there was an increase in activity of rolling thunder in the sky that could easily be heard through this dilapidated castle. Asking such a question to him now, she didn't know if she felt regret for killing Dom. She had nothing against him personally, but what he was, what Zelrius was. They were player killers and they continued to live as such. Because all they thought about was themselves, their foolishness, their horrible leading skills. Opal brought her hands to her face and gave a low moan, "I really need a cigarette."

  19. "A glass of milk?" The woman asked. This was a bit of a joke for a wager of a duel. But the shrouded figure shrugged her shoulders, "I guess that can work. Although I could make things more interesting." She said with her eyes narrowed behind her mask. The woman drew her red tinted Katana from its sheath and was in a relaxed position, not in any sort of stance which made things a bit unnecessary for a game such as this. You either land your blow, or you don't. Stances meant nothing.

So with her hand firmly on the hilt, she moved her free hand up and adjusted the mask as the countdown began. There was a bead of sweat rolling down her cheek once again, it sure was hot as hell under all these robes and this combo hood and mask thing. She knew others who ran amuk in this sort of attire in the Laughing Coffin, but Opal was a woman of fashion and she did not enjoy the heat although being a hot, sweaty girl was not a bad thing, but it had to be on her conditions. Rolling her eyes at the thoughts, her mind was elsewhere at the moment and not on the duel itself.

She gave a small cough through her mask as the timer continued to wind down, "Man, that thirty second thing is really quite slow." She said barely audible. She was baking like a cake in this thing, sweat rolling from her forehead now as she adjusted the cloak, hoping a wind would issue a pleasant breeze or something to keep her cool in the damn thing. She didn't wanna resort to stripping it off right now, revealing who she was and why she was here. Of course it was obvious, she was still waiting on this dance thing to happen if that ever was gonna happen.

  20. Their eyes had been drawn to Cal as if he were their torch light and they but little dirty moths. With their attention on him, Opal once more slincked behind their numbers with her weapon giving off the familiar chill of the sword art aura. Violet energy wrapped around the blade giving it an eerie glow. She had raised the katana with both hands and down it came, sweeping left and right in a blitzkrieg of flurries. Their moans escaped them, their bodies worn and torn and decayed now being victimized by the Masamune in her hands. With another sweep of her blade, the Lost Guardsmen had lost their heads. Beheading them in a moment, their bodies froze in time and then shattered in the next passing moment. Nothing left of their AI souls nor their remains. Giving a long drawn out sigh to herself, Opal reverted to her standing position and rolled her shoulders and shot a glance around their perimeter. Her <Reveal> had been active once again, "Looks like we cleared them out for a little while. We have only a few more to kill before we end up seeing any Boss types."

Opal shot Calrex a look, "Thanks for helping out back there. Ya know, you could have easily ended a lot of hardships for people with my life ending. And yet you are helping out. You could easily walk through these Halls choosing your battles carefully and escape with merely scratches. I on the other hand would be dead without your help. So it comes to question; knowing who I am and what my plans are for people, why would you help me? You realize one day I will come to hunt down Teayre and possibly kill her. You could easily end it all now. We get stuck in a mob fight, you forget to Howl and then I die from the hate. You could easily end this without staining your hands further. No one would miss me, no one would question you about what happened. It could be over..."

Opal's eyes downcast, why was she asking him about this? He was too much of a Boy Scout to do something so radical like that, though it would be the perfect opportunity for a Wild Card like Opal to die now without much effort. The woman shrugged her shoulders, "Don't worry about answering any of that. I already know I am growing on you quite a bit." Her eyes sang a seductive tone as she looked him on, hiding the fact that he could easily end it all if he wanted on the next round of summons. He was a curious one. To have someone declare they would take the life of their beloved and still allow such company to exist. What was his game?

  21. Opal had lifted Kusanagi ready to pounce on the action when she began to watch what was happening to Teayre. Opal who had stunned the woman, was very much like this in her duel against Ariel. She remembered the traumatizing sense of not being in control of herself when she had been baptized by Sensui himself. When the girl called out that she was the winner this time, Opal just stood there with a blank look on her face. For a moment her arm had trembled and a bead of sweat had made its way down her cheek through her mask. It took her a moment to register what happened around her. Finally relaxing her sword arm, the woman took a more relaxed stance and shifted her feet together and pushed the Blood Katana back into its sheath around her waist. Allowing for the moment of her cloak to billow once more, her body was surrounded by the leather cloak and she had checked her surroundings.

"I suppose round one goes to me." She stated nonchalantly to herself. But it was a hollow victory, much like all the others she had ever endured and won. Taking a few steps forward, the woman had recognized the man and a bead of sweat rolled down her cheek once more, " @Baldur...stuffing himself full of cookies. A sight you don't get to see everyday." A light smile through her mask. She began to approach the individual. "Glutton today are we? Or maybe they are just really good cookies." The female had said, her cloak sweeping towards the left, her mask and hood still masking her face as she looked him on with her green eyes.

"I did not get much fulfillment from my duel with that young woman. I believe she may have been stressed out or something. But you seem to have a set of weaponry on you and you dress like an Edo Captain or something. Would you like to duel me? I can't say I am very well equipped for such a thing. But I leave that up to you, or you can stand here and eat all the cookies."

  22. As the Lost Guardsmen gathered around Cal, Opal had noticed he was using a different stance than usual. There was no Howl that came from this stance, but instead he was eating up the damage that the mobs were dishing out to him. Opal's violet eyes scrunched as she watched and back stepped out of the way as they doused his body with weaponry. The clanging sounds echoed out into the halls of Blackwatch, their moans lighting up the atmosphere as their shrouded corpse like bodies stumbled with less than grace.

Stepping in with the glow of her blade ignited, the woman rushed in to meet their backs. With their attention turned to Calrex, or at least for the moment, the woman splattered their corpse bodies with orange slash marks. Wicked cuts were made across their broken armor as they grunted and bumped into one another like walking zombies. Her sword art expired but it left the mob confused with who was now the greater threat. Eyes turned to her and she gave an off beat smile, "Ayy...ugh, Cal...a little help here? They are looking at me like I'm dinner. How about another Howl?"

He would either have to get their attention with a Howl or strike the hate up with a critical attack, that really seems to piss them off.

  23. Opal shifted on her foot and ducked down while wincing as she plugged her ears. Poor Jaken was unaware of what was going on and was not told about the Howling by Calrex. He was unfortunately caught within the blast, jarring all his senses as his little frail body bounced side to side as he nearly lost his staff in the process. When the <Howl> had finished, she got back up and twisted around and brought her blade back to her forefront. Holding the hilt in both hands, the woman nodded to Calrex. It was time to go for the Maximum Effort, as she took a step forward, their was a torrential of power flowing over her blade. The violet glow of the sword art began to ignite into a harmonious effect as she <<Charged>> for the enemy. Sweeping her blade, the woman's fast and furious attacks through the Guardsmen of the late predecessors of the castle. Orange streaks of data tagged their bodies with long sweeping blows.

Opal's right foot danced around their corpse like bodies and she slew them with several strategic hits before she started to bound back towards her Tank. Flashing a dark smile to the player, she looked down at her frantic familiar, "What was that!?" still unsure why he was so mentally discombobulated. She would have planted a heel in his face again, but he seemed to be getting his fair of harsh treatment for the night. She didn't want to come off as a total bitch to her familiar.

  24. Opal had stopped in her tracks, violet eyes shot over her shoulder as he began to speak once more. She did not turn around for him but she was witnessing what he was doing from the corner of her eye. She took a heavy gulp, watching the event unfold before her. She was unsure of what he was doing or why he was doing it. But after his words, like a spear they had pierced her soul and her heart. Such words, that rarely anyone could say to her to make any kind of impact. He was indeed a one of a kind guy. Hearing the shatter and her eyes slowly dipped down, still turned away from him, she brought her hands up and over her body once more to hug herself. She stood there lost in contemplation of her own mind wondering if this path of hers, after everything she had said and done was truly the path she had to take.

Baldur was giving her an out, a way to come back. He said he'd protect her, fight for her. But his words were hallow to her, sad of course, but hallow. He claimed to understand, but he did not. If he did, then he would never say such things. He would let it go, but perhaps he fought so hard because he wanted to help her, have her realize what she was missing out.

But her mind was a complex thing, and complexity caused confusion. Violet eyes darted to the ground, she could not say or do anything. She did not know how long she had been like that, the minutes getting lost in her thoughts as the words sank into her mind. If she turned back now, the lives that were taken by Zelrius, the lives taken by Dom, the lives taken by the  numerous other orange players, they would be lost to this world without an Avenger. The names that had been crossed off the Monument of Life, the innocent ones, what do you tell those people when you say you give up on them?

"Baldur I..." she had turned around, but he was gone. Her hand was out to reach for him, but there was nothing but the notes of the wind playing around her. Violet eyes sank and she closed them, a bitter look then slowly stoic, "No. Justice demands answers and blood." With a billowing snap of her cape, she headed in the opposite direction of the player. Her eyes stern, focused, without falter. No more.
