Aereth

Aereth arrived at Floor Two just minutes ago. He heard that there should be an event with friendly combat and dancing. "Hmmmm. Because I'm just level one fighting is out of question for me, at the most I could watch some battles and learn a liitle bit, but the dancing part sounds interessting..." He thought to himself as he made his way slowly to the High Field of Crossing..

After some time of walking he finally reached his destination. He was standing a little bit away of the field on a small hilltop so that he could scout a little bit what exactly was happening right now down at the field. "Man, even here I can feel the tension of this place..." he muttered into his scarf. He saw a lot of players batteling, others were watching but he didn't see many people, or rather couples dancing. A little bit dissapointed Aereth placed himself against a nearby tree. "I hoped there would be a little bit less tension, but what was I expecting. The invitation said dancing and fighting... Just for now I will stay here and observe the whole scenario, since I don't know anybody in this place", he thought as he slowly sat down still leaning on the tree.

First I have to say that this is my first Forum-RPG, so I have no idea how to start this thing without getting killed instantly at the beginning. So I'm wondering if somebody would have the time and patience, to start a RP with me and help me getting used to the mechanics, and leveling-up a little bit.

History

Maximilian has lived an awfully normal life. Normal childhood. Normal teen years. He was raised by his two parents in a rather small city in Austria (nope, not the one with the kangaroos).

At the age of 19 he finished a school for electrical engineering where he met his best friend Adrian. They both shared Maximilians fascination for electricity, as well as a very childish sense of humor. The two of them played almost every MMORPG together, and after five years of being together in the same class, their lifes took different ways.  Adrian started to work at a company and Max started to study at the university of technology

Due to his study in electrical engineering he was able to spend half a year in Japan for an internship by Argus to help with the development of the hardware for the NerveGear. To be precise, he was part in a team of 5 engineers which developed the measurement-circuit for the brain waves.  Back then he thought Argus was an amazing company which will lead humankind to the next dimension, but unfortunately,  he was proven wrong. Also through this connection he was able to get his hands on two NerveGears and two copies of SAO. However, this time he didn't intend to play this game with his friend. No, he wanted to experience this adventure together with the woman he loved...

At the age of 15 he first started dancing. And there he met her… By far the most beautiful girl he saw in his whole life. Long beautiful brown hair flowed down her back and bangs in the front decorated her delicate face. The first moment he saw her, he knew, that he had found the girl he wanted to spend the rest of his life with. So they started to dance and after a year of hard work (mostly on his part) they became a couple. But they never stopped dancing. Even short before this nightmare started they participated in a tournament in Moscow, in which they made the 13th place out of 185 couples.

 

Personality:

His in-game personality differs not much from his personality in the real world but after the loss of his girlfriend he developed a very radical way of justice. He does not accept player killing at all, and he would do all in his might to save somebody who is in life-threatening trouble, not caring if the trouble was made by another player or a mob. In this case he would also go for the kill on the attacking player without hesitation.
Maximilian is a very self-confident and intelligent being. On the outside he tends to look cold and calculative, and he doesn’t like foreign people that much. He also likes to observe and read people and their actions. This ability enables him to read other peoples intentions very quickly, and if he isn't able to look through them right away, he puts all his brain and effort into finding out why these persons are hiding something.
He has not many friends, but once he is under people he considers as friends, he tends to be very loud and a little bit childish.

 

Unique Combat Style: The Dancer

Dancing was always Maximilians favorite sport. He could spend time with his girlfriend and in addition to that, also train his body and mind. And if you think that dancing is no sport, you haven't really done some competitive dancing in your life. Back in the real world his girlfriend and he used to train 5 times a week, á 2 hours per session for over 6 years (not counting cardio-training). Fortunately, the NerveGear transferred all he learned in this 6 years into sword art online. After some time of training with his one handed straight sword, he figured out, that he is able to combine his sword arts with the dancing movements he learned. He tends to do very fast spins, jumps and runs, which give his fighting style a very unique and agile look.

 

Virtues:

Confident:
He knows of what he is capable of and never questions his own skills. Be it in combat, scouting or conversing with people. He has no problem to talk to male and female persons at all, and likes to get to the point of the conversation as fast as possible, because he thinks that pussyfoot around important things is a sign of weakness. 

Intelligent:
Max is very intelligent and has a high technical understanding. He analyses threats and is able to come up with plans how to deal with them very quickly. Sometimes however, he isn't quite able to turn this ability off, so he tends to over calculate unnecessary things from time to time.

Hard working:
He has a very high level of self discipline. Waking up early in the morning almost every day to go out for his workout session is no big deal for him. Max wants to get stronger with every day so he is working very hard to reach all the high leveled players out there to help them with clearing the game, as well as to be able to fight for what he thinks is right.

Flaws:

Perfectionist:
He wants everything he touches to turn to gold. He puts a lot of effort into making everything perfect. Be it the setup for a quest, exploring a floor or be it something else. This trait tends to consume a lot of time and patience from the people working with him. 

Short Tempered:
When something steps in his way or annoys him he is known to be very short tempered. This shows in the fact that he acts very aggressive against such nuisances, without hurting or killing anybody of course. So if you f*ucked up, he will let you know that you did so. 

Foul Mouthed:
He tends to use many swearing words when he is speaking to other players and NPC's. This comes from his straight and direct personality. Like mentioned above, he will make sure to tell you when you f*cked up in a very insulting and sometimes loud (depends on how much you f*ucked up) manner.

Heavy Depression:
After the loss of his girlfriend he fell into a deep and black hole. He started to drink heavily on a daily basis and got himself almost killed several times while grinding for some money that he could spend on more alcohol.

Liar:
Aereth never  told anybody the truth about his story. He told everybody that his best friend had died back on that dark day. He even lied to the closest person he had inside of Aincrad, his teacher and friend Itzal. Even though he regrets that he lied to him, he couldn't get himself to talk with him about how his girlfriend was now dead... He then proceeded to lie to every body else who got close enough to him to get to know about his story...
