  1. After hearing that every paladin has his own questions, and that he wanted to talk with Jonathan about a few things, Itzal asked Aereth what his favourite color was, he replied. "Yeah you are right, lets focus on my initiation for now. To answer your next question: blue. My favourite color is blue. A deep and dark blue to be precisely. For me it has a somewhat calming effect..." "Did I really just say that?" He thought immediately after finishing his sentence and chuckled. Then he procceded to look around himself for materials but he couldn't find any. Again. But at least also Itzal seemed to struggle as well. Aereth thought that maybe this part of the forest could be farmed empty for now. "Maybe this part of the forest is farmed empty, or it's like everywhere, the last one always has to be the hardest." he joked to his friend.

  2. Jonathan explained to Aereth, that they wouldn't gain any loot from the lower level monsters, due to the fact, that Jonathan was a tank. "That's ok for me, right now I just want to train the combat a little bit. So yeah, let's go!" Then he saw how Jonathan equipped his armor and sword. "That's some amazing equipment. And it also fits his look." Aereth thought and chuckled. Then Jonathan used his howl skill to increase his hate points, in order to protect Aereth. Just as Jonathan finished his howling Aereth sped towards the single boar with his maximum of speed. While running he equipped his one handed straight sword and charged his <<Vertical>> Sword Art. When he got into range where the sword art would hit, he launched himself off the ground. Then he let the system take control over him, and he landed a critical hit on the boar. After his attack succeeded, Aereth retreated back to Jonathans side and readied himself for the next attack.

  3. "I'm glad you think the same. And I'm fine with the rules for the fight. I just have to get the last material." He looked left, right, up and down but unfortunately wasn't able to find anything. Their continued walking alongside each other. "Hey Itzal." Aereth broke the silence. "Is every new member asked this specific questions, or are they different depend on who is doing the initiation?" Aereth was determined to becoming a good scout. He wanted to get mich stronger so much stronger, that he could help his future guild mates, and the frontlines to clear the game. "I think I have found the right teacher to teach me me all the things I must know in order to contribute my part of clearing the game." He thought while he continued looking for materials.

  4. ".You two were really close huh.." Aereth said changing his hard and serious tone to a soft and warm one. "I do not have any brothers or sisters, so I never experienced this kind of relationship, but hearing you talk about it feels so heartwarming... And what you say is so true. This is why I want my feelings and my love to power me through this training. And if I have reached a certain level of skill, I would gladly share that knowledge with anyone who needs it." Then Itzal asked Aereth how he felt about killing another player. "I think this question is simple to answer. I would never kill another person just for, col, materials, revenge or other crap.It doesn't matter how much money or materials you get for taking a life, the life itself is much more valuable than anything. For me, killing is just under one circumstance justifiable. And this is when it's a situation where you have to kill in order to protect someone or yourself, if I'm sure that it's unavoidable then I wouldn't hesitate. In some situations it's either kill or get killed, but I hope and pray that we all can stay out of this situation until this death game ends." Aereth answered his friend. He looked around for materials but couldn't find anything useful.

  5. As he put the mushroom into his inventory, Aereth saw something black and shiny behind the spot where the mushroom was. He aproached it and also put the black ore into his inventory. Aereth listened to the two questions Itzal asked him. And after hearing this questions Aereth knew how important the answers would be so he took his time to reflect in his head what Itzal really wanted to know from him. "I think he answered his first question with his second one, but it is really hard to find the right words to describe to him how I feel about this whole deal..." As Aereth finished his train of thoughts he answered. "Of course this is not the only reason. This game has to end for multiple reasons. But for the importance it's difficult to say. For one person alone, his own reasons seem like the most important ones. But if you see all the players as a whole, this answer changes. So yes, as Aereth, I want to get out of here for my family and my girlfriend, this are the reasons that give me the drive to carry on, to stand up and fight. I don't think that friendship and love make you stronger, you only get stronger through hard work and training. But as I said before, the friendship to the people in here and the love to my family and especially to my girlfriend give me the drive to work, the motivation to train and in the end the reason to become stronger.  But as SAO player like everybody else, I just want one thing.." a short moment of silence. "... to end this madness called Sword Art Online, for your sake, for my sake and for everybody's sake. And I will fight until we all get out of here, or die trying." Aereth said to Itzal in a very serious tone.

  6. After Itzal shook Aereth's hand, he explained how the initiation will be done. "So gathering three materials, answering questions and a fight. I can definitely do that." he thought confidently. Then he answered his friend. "Unfortunately you are right and I haven't spent any skill points into the searching skill but three materials should be no problem. And you can ask me anything. I will answer them the best and most honest way I can." After Aereth answered, Itzal leaped down the tree. Aereth followed him immediately and noticed a grin on his friend's face. "Yes. I will do my best." Then the two friends started to walk relaxed into the forest. After a few minutes Aereth noticed something behind a bush on the side of the road. Aereth went over to the bush, and found one mushroom hiding under it.

  7. After the resting, Aereth pulled himself up again and equipped his sword for the first time today. Pulling it out of its sheath he thought. "I have to get that One Handed Sword Skill up in order to not instantly get f*** up by this low level monsters. It really pisses me off to see how weak I really am." Then after some swings Aereth put the blade back into its sheath and unequipped it again. Right now he didn't want to get into combat with it and additionally, he right now relied solely on his speed and reflexes so the less weight he carried the faster he could be. "I might want to get the material arts skill later on. It would be awesome to be able to fight seriously even without weapons." Then he looked around for any useful materials, but wasn' able to find any. "This was somehow clear that here are no materials, since I have been here just some hours ago but you never know..."

  8. Today was a very special day for Aereth. Yesterday he got a message from his friend Itzal, in which he said that his initiation into the guild would be today. He needed to be at the meeting point in the forest at the specified time. He had just a few minutes left and ran at max speed to the meeting point. "I've trained quite a bit, so I won't disappoint him." It was indeed true. He spent some time alone in the forest in order to get stronger. But not stronger in the sense of fighting power, he trained his virtual senses, the feeling for his body, his reflexes and his speed. After some moments a large oak tree came into Aereth sight. "According to Itzal this must be the meeting point." Just as he finished his sentence, he noticed Itzal sitting on one of the lower branches of the tree. Aereth sped towards a nearby tree and when he reached it, he used it as a springboard to launch himself into the air.  After a short flight he it managed it to land on the branch where Itzal was sitting. "Hello my friend, I've been looking forward to this initiation." He said while offering Itzal his right hand.

  9. Aereth had to chuckle at the Spanish accent Jonathan used and answered in the same accent. "Then I shall stop fearing and listen to your lectures señor Jonathan." After hearing Jonathan say that lower level mobs would be better for the first time, Aereth had to agree. "Yeah I think this would be the smarter decision. After all, we can start fighting stronger mobs when I got a better feeling for slicing this little bastards into shreds. Yes, that hate skill of yours should help me not getting attacked by the mobs this much." He laughed. "He really is a very good guy and I enjoy his company. I'm glad that I was able to such great persons in this game." Aereth thought while smiling at Jonathan. Then Jonathan told him about two quests that could be done to gain some better equipment. "It would be great to have some equipment with enhancements. I think a new cloth armour with EVA or LD would be nice." Then Aereth answered his new friend. "It would be cool to have new armour with enhancements. Maybe, if you have got the time, we could do one of these quests later, when I'm a little more experienced with combat."

  10. Aereth waited patiently until Itzal responded to what he had said just a few moments ago. After hearing Itzals thoughts Aereth couldn't help but to feel relieved. "I'm glad you are seeing it this way. The staff had also no idea that this whole thing would turn out the way it did. But somehow I can't believe that this was all Kayabas doing. One person alone cannot accomplish something like this mess. There also have to be other big fishes that covered the whole affair. But thank you for your friendly words, and I would love to help you with your SVR system when we finally get out of here." Aereth smiled wholeheartedly at Itzal. "I'm really glad that I met such a great guy like him." He thought. "You are a reasonable and great guy. I respect that a lot my friend." Suddenly Aereth found another ore, this time a blue one, and stored it in his inventory.

  11. "To be rally honest, I've never fought against mobs in here. Just pissed them off ran away from them from time to time." He said while scratch the back of his head yet again. "So I don't really know his to fight and you would have to teach me that, but if you are ok with it, I think it's fine either way as long as I don't die." Aereth chuckled. Then he heard Jonathan talk about better equipment which could be gained through special quests. This statement got Aereths attention. "Which quests are there to get better equipment? Because I've never heard about it... maybe I have been talking to the wrong NPCs." He asked curiously. Aereth didn't want to bother his new friend to much, but he definitely needed to get some combat experience and a few levels.

  12. As Aereth made his way up into the trees, his nervousness faded slowly away. Somehow he felt safe in the trees. He knew exactly that players with a high search and detect skill could easily find him but he was confident that he would make it out of the forest unsharmed. "I don't know why I got so nervous down there but I really think that it's safer if I leave this area for now." He thought as he jumped from tree to tree. After some time Aereth finally reached the not so dense parts of the forest. "Aaah finally back in the safer regions of this dammed forest. When I got stronger I will kick the asses of those god dammed monsters." Then he reached the clearing from before and decided to take a quick rest and catch his breath again.

  13. "I mean come on. The fight, the adrenaline and then you got so close. Leaning in for a kiss fits perfect." He said while chuckling at Itzals expression. Then he saw a small mushroom in the bushes and picked it up. After hearing that Itzal wanted to make his own VR world, Aereth was a little bit surprised but instantly smiled at him. "That's awesome that he also likes technology this much." He thought. Then his expression turned darker. "Before we continue with everything I feel like I have to tell you another thing from my life in the real world..." Aereth struggled to find the right words to tell him this one thing. "I hope he doesn't turn his back on me after hearing this. But I trust him, so I owe him the truth." He thought. "As I told you before, I really like electronics. That's also the reason why I was studying electrical engineering at a university. However, what I'm about to tell you is something I'm not very proud of..." another pause."But I feel like you have the right to know this. Back in the real world I had an internship at Argus for six months in the hardware development." After saying this Aereth waited for Itzals response with a guilty expression.

  14. Jonathan asked Aereth if he wanted to party up with him for leveling up. "Yeah seems so. And level one Aereth at your service." Aereth joked. "It would be a pleasure to grind a little bit with you." He said while accepting his party invite. "Yes I'm looking forward to the initiation, and I also wonder who will be doing it, but I'm fine with anyone doing it. From what Itzal told me, I can only assume that all of you are great guys and girls. And to be honest I'm quite excited about it. I've been alone in here since this whole death-game started." he admitted. After hearing Jonathan say that everyone wants to be a DPS or a scout, Aereth chuckled while rubbing the back of his head. "I don't know man. I just met Itzal in the city and he showed me the benefits of a scout build.

    @Morgenstern

  15. Jonathan politely rejected the offer. "Ok more for me." Aereth laughed. After Jonathan told Aereth that he was indeed a friend of Itzal, to be precise, his training partner, he had no doubt that this Jonathan had to be the one Itzal told him about. He was lucky enough not to only meet one but two of the paladins of the guild he was going to join. "Now I know two paladins of the celestial ascendants." He thought. Aereth chuckled at the last question. "I wouldn't say that I know everything about you, but Itzal already told me that you are the Tank paladin of your guild and that you two are friends. Outside of that I don't know anything about you my friend." He said while smiling at Jonathan. "But I wouldn't mind finding out more about you. I don't know if Itzal talked to you about it yet, but I would really like to join your guild as his apprentice to become a good scout."

  16. After Aereth finished talking Itzal started to explain to him how Kaiser was. "Yeah I know what you mean. In this regard our girlfriends are similar. Sometimes I also need somebody to calm myself down if I was pushing too hard. She was always the calm an collected one of us. Except when we went on competitions. Then she always got nervous and excited as f***." Aereth laughed. "I wouldn't say funny. I think it's kinda romantic." He said chuckling. Then Itzal asked Aereth what kind of projects he was working on. This hit Aereth a little bit by surprise because most times when he talked about his projects in the real world not many people were interested in his projects. Smiling Aereth answered. "Back in the past I built a little wheeled robot from scratch and programmed him so that he could follow a black line on the ground. I could explain it to you I did it if you want but I don't want to bore you." He laughed while he scratched the back of his head. "That was my first little project then I worked on some bigger ones with two of my friends. And right now I'm, I mean before I got trapped in here I was working on digital signal processing and a HMI for our latest project. If you want I can tell you about it, but like I said, I don't want to bore you."

  17. Still enjoying his sandwich, Aereth noticed a male voice. Slowly opening his eyes, he saw a young blonde man standing in front of him. "Yeah, the best I've eaten in here. You also want one? I've always got some to spare." he replied returning the smile. When he heard the name of the man, Aereth's started to think. "Jonathan... Jonathan... I've heard this name before but I'm not quite sure where." While he still tried to figure out where he heard this name before, Aereth introduced himself. "My name is Aereth. And it's also a pleasure to meet you." Then suddenly he remembered. "Itzal mentioned him before. I think he is one of his guild members... No. No way... He isn't just a normal guild member... He has to be the Tank Paladin of his guild..." Then Aereth stood up and offered Jonathan his hand. "Could it be, that you a friend of Itzal?" He asked curious to see if if his assumption was right.

    @Morgenstern

  18. It was again a sunny day at floor one. Aereth was sitting under a tree not far away from Starting City. It was around lunch time, so Aereth decided to eat his prepared sandwich. "Man, I love the sandwiches this NPC gives out in the center of the Starting City." He thought while taking his first bite of the sandwich. Right now he didn't exactly know what he should do today. "Maybe I should go out again and gather some materials. Or I could stay here and train my jumping, running and parcouring skills." Ever since he met his first friend in this game and looked at him jumping from roof to roof, Aereth wanted to master the parcouring skill. It not only gets you faster from point A to point B, but it also looks straight awesome if you are able to jump from roof to roof, or other things. Sighing, Aereth took yet another bite from his sandwich and closed his eyes.

    @Morgenstern

  19. Aereth smiled, as his friend told him that he will take his words to heart. Then Itzal asked Aereth how his girlfriend is like. And that maybe someday he would like to meet her. Aereth looked back at the sky in a moment of silence. "It's no problem. I trust you. And since you also told me so much of your real life. I will also share some things with you my friend." He then smiled at Itzal. "I don't know how to start man... She is like one of the nicest and kind hearted persons I've ever met in my whole life. When I saw her the first time, I instantly knew that she will be the one for me." Then Aereth looked back up into the sky. "I think you would like her, and I also think that she would like you. And when we finally get out of here I would gladly introduce her to you. Now it's your turn to tell me what your girl is like. I mean if you want to." Aereth said while smiling. "Maybe I could also meet your girlfriend, since she is also a paladin of your guild." He chuckled softly while Itzal asked what his favorite thing to do was. "Back in the real world I loved to dance. It was also where I met my girlfriend. Dancing connected us because she also loved to dance, and after some time and hard work we started loving each other. Outside of that I really liked working on my little electronic projects.

    @Itzal

  20. Smiling back to Itzal, Aereth said. "I hope they will like me..." Then Aereth noticed how Itzal sighed. He decided to stay silent, because he didn't want to make his first, and for now, only friend uncomfortable around him. After a short moment of silence Itzal chose to explain something to Aereth. He talked about how alone he was before this nightmare started, and that he just loves this girl from the bottom of his heart. "Look my friend, the first time someone falls in love, nobody knows how to be a good boy- or girlfriend and what he or she has to do. And it's like you said, a relationship isn't about setting up the perfect plan for everything. It's just about to show the person you love the feelings you have inside here." Aereth said while moving his right hand to his chest. "It also doesn't matter if you have had a social life in the real world or not. You are who you are right now. And that is the only thing that counts. You are a good person. You help low level player getting stronger, and you are the Scout Paladin of your guild. For me you don't seem to be the socially awkward guy, that you described earlier." After hearing Itzal talking about his real life family Aereth answered with a smile. "That's nice to hear that your family loves you that much. But trust me, you will experience what it means to let love grow and progresses. I also have a mother and a father back in the real world that I love over everything." After some moments of silence Aereth spoke again while looking back up to the sky. "And I have another person in the real world that I love..."

  21. Seeing Itzal wave dismissivly at Aereth and explaining that he was over the death of the NPC, he relaxed again and let out a breath that he didn't even knew he was holding. Then Itzal talked about the other guild members. While Itzal's explenation Aereth found another ore in the bushes behind Itzal. He picked it up and stored it away, before returning to Itzal. "They all seem to be nice guys." he thought. "I'm really looking forward to meet them all." When Itzal mentioned Kaiser, Aereth noticed how he mentioned her at the end. With an extra sentence. "Oh that must be his girlfriend." Just as he finished the thought Itzal confirmed his assumption. Aereth looked at Itzal and it was undeniable that Kaiser had a special place in this man's heart. "She must be the one for you, huh?" Aereth stated while he looked faraway in the sky.

  22. After Aereth finished collecting the herb he got back to the branches which were not so far away from the ground so that he could continue searching for materials. When he was finally able to see the ground again he noticed that the NPC monsters were all gone. "What the... Where have they gone?" Getting back on the ground he looked left and right but he wasn't able to see a single NPC. "Maybe they went to far away from their spawn area and had to re spawn. Or they were just destroyed by another player..." At the thought of another player Aereth suddenly got very nervous. "I think it might be better for me if I leave this area of the forest for now. I will travel in the trees to avoid possible encounters with players and monsters." While he said this, he was halfway in the trees.

  23. Still breathing rather heavily, Aereth was still sitting on the same branch as before. "This reckless maneuvers will for sure, be my end someday. But the adrenaline rush you get is incomparable. The high heart beat frequency, the sweat and the fear. Makes you kinda feel alive." He thought while still trying to gain control over his heavy breathing "Go out in the forest. They said. It won't be dangerous for you. They said. It's just gathering. They said."  he laughed. "Now I can understand why so many players are staying back in the Starting City. Not everybody is crazy enough to go out gathering in the deep woods. But the game engine is really impressive. The things you are able to do in this world with this body. It's just amazing." He said while scanning the trees for some usable materials. And indeed in one of the crowns he found, again one herb.

  24. As he hit the grond, Aereth rolled his body in the direction of the black ore to soften his fall. Just as he was able to grab the ore he stored it in his inventory and noticed that two boars and one wolve charged at him. Quickly getting on his feet Aereth launched himself in the air so that the two boars crashed against each other. The wolf however seemed a little bit more intelligent than the two boars. It also jumped and wanted to hit Aereth in the air. "Annoying little bitch!" Aereth yelled, and kicked it away just moments before it was able to bite or tackle him. With the kick the wolf was sent flying away and Aereth landed on the back of one of the boars. Immediatly jumping again he was able to get hold of a nearby branch of a tree. After he climbed the branch he decited to go up a little bit further in order to escape the the three NPC monsters. "Pfew... That was a little bit too close for my taste. But it sure as hell must have looked awesome." He said out of breath, while leaning his back against the tree and sliding it down so that he could sit on the branch.

  25. "I'm not going to be fighting this mobs anytime soon, since I don't want to die instantly." Aereth thought, as he felt a slight cribble going down his spine. With a slight movement of his hand, he opened his menu to check the time. "This tour took me longer than I expected. I think I will be having lunch now." After a quick search he spotted a slightly bigger branch where he could sit on and eat his prepared lunch. He sat down and took the first bite of his second sandwich. "Haha, I think I shouldn't eat the same things the whole time." Aereth chuckled himself. He then looked down to the ground, where at least three boars and four wolves were spending their time. "I suppose this part of the forest was designed to be more dangerous than the entreance area." Just as he said this he spotted another shiny black ore on the ground. "I know that this attitude will get me killed someday, but f*** it..." He said as he let himself drop to the ground, alerting all the monsters in the near area.
