  1. OOC: Yeah seems like a good idea. maybe you could help me with the <<Secret Medicine Of The Forest>> quest for the sword?

    Jonathan explained to Aereth that he was training very hard in order to catch up to his friend Itzal and that the two of them spent a lot time together training. "Your reaction time and your speed with your armour, shield and sword are amazing. You got any combat related Tipps to give me in order to improve my combat style? One thing I've learned is that if I'm fighting together with a tank, I rely on the tank getting the attention of the enemy and look for opening to get my hits in. And if I'm attacked directly I try to dodge every hit as fast as possible." After that he said how he was also looking forward to their next fighting sessions and that he could also learn a whole lot from Hikoru, the DPS paladin of his guild, who Aereth had yet to meet. "I also look forward to be learning some tricks from all the paladins in your guild. I have yet to meet the DPS and the healer paladin but from what I heard from Itzal and you they seem to be very nice." Then Aereth smiled at his new friend and to be comrade. "I'll be having a good time with these guys and they'll help me to get strong enough to be useful in helping to clear the game."

  2. Still enjoying his sandwich, Aereth spotted a red head player in the crowd. It seemed like a maid was following him on his tracks. From the first look he looked like a very confident young man, the same age, no maybe a little bit older than Aereth and with a big two handed battle axe on his back. While he walked down the streets it seemed like there were many thoughts in his mind. And not the pleasant ones, Aereth assumed. Then as he walked past Aereth, he smiled and greeted Aereth Never stopping or slowing down. Returning the gesture Aereth thought: "I don't know him, that's for sure, so why did he greet me?" Putting his sandwich back into his inventory. "Screw it. I'll talk to him a little bit and maybe he agrees to tag along with me for that stupid quest." He thought. But something felt off. The redhead player seemed have something particular on his mind. But Aereth couldn't quite figure out what it was. Was it a test? Did he want something from him? Easiest way to the answers for this questions: asking. So he got to his feet, used the bench he was sitting in as a springboard, and launched himself into the air. He landed direct in front of the redhead player and looked him directly in his eyes. "Did we meet somewhere before my friend?"

  3. Jonathan asked Aereth if he would mind if he ended the battle by himself and Aereth said. "Nah, destroy that bastard." After hearing that Jonathan dashed towards the boar and ripped it clean into two pieces. "I know this was a very low leveled monster, but damn that was awesome." He said while sheathing his sword on his back and equipping it. As the light on his back faded, Jonathan said how Aereth was much better than many of his level and that his only problem right now just the numbers were, which Aereth assumed to be his stats, equipment and enhancements. He also said that he would love to have Aereth in his guild, and that Itzal will make the initiation soon. "Thanks for the nice words my friend. I'm glad that you think so. I want to become a useful and relieable part of your guild, so I will train hard to reach this goal." He smiled. "I'm also looking forward to the time where I'll be able to fight stronger enemies on your side. I have the feeling that I'll also be able to learn many combat related things from you." He said while offering his fist to Jonathan for a fist-bump.

  4. The boar attacked Jonathan once again, but was blocked by his sword. After the successful block, Jonathan kicked the boar in Aereth direction. "Yeah I hope it will." With that said, Aereth also began to run towards the boar with his <<Vertical>> sword art at ready. However as the two met, Aereth lost his balance a little bit which resulted in him missing the attack. Fortunately, also the boar was unable to hit the player with the dark brown scarf. "I could have ended it with this strike but I lost my balance just before I was able to hit it. Sorry for that." He said with a hint of shame in his voice. In the meantime the boar turned itself around and readied itself for it's next attack. "I'm not going to blame myself any further, the next hit will be the last one for sure!" he thought as he focused on the actions of the boar.

  5. After Aereth missed the boar, it charged again in Jonathan's direction. This time however he didn't avoid the attack, he also decided to attack the boar. With a clean slash, he decimated the boars HP by a big amount. "Wow, and that was without a skill..." He thought still amazed by the combat power of Jonathan. Then the boar squealed and turned around for another attack. "This time I'll get him again." Aereth, once again ran at full speed, charging his <<Snake Bite>> sword art, to intercept the boar. This time the boar an he met head on, and Aereth released the skill, and slashed three times with all his strength and speed at the boar. Red lines covered the boars front side now, and Aereth retreated back at Jonathan's side. "Sorry, this is the most damage I can do for now. I'll end it with the next attack." he said to his friend in golden armor.

  6. Aereth was walking down the roads of <<Starting City>> and enjoyed his fresh sandwich. Today he wanted to take on a quest Jonathan told him about. It was called <<Worn out Welcome>>. The only problem was, that he needed somebody to tag along with him, in so that he would not die instantly, and all the people he knew inside this game had plans for today. Taking a seat on the bench Aereth started to think. "I heard that I have to defeat a so called <<Dark Elf>> in order to complete the quest. But as I am right now, I know for sure that I'll die if I go out on my own. It sucks so much that I'm so weak right now. I can't even take on some low level mobs on my own. This needs to change fast. As soon as I'm able to, I'll be leveling my OHSS up to at least LV 3. Then I should be able to hold my ground against some simple monsters..." he thought while he took a bite from his sandwich.

    @Domarus

  7. After Aereth's successful attack, the boar charged again at Aereth in order to finally get a hit on him. "Too slow my friend." He thought and with a simple side step avoided the attack. The seemingly outraged boar came to a stand a little bit away from Aereth and looked like it was waiting for him to attack him. "This boar is smarter than it seems, but after all, it's still just a programmed AI that can be outsmarted easily." Aereth finished his thought and with that, started to speed once again in the direction of the boar. "This time I'll use the surroundings to my advantage." The boar however did not move. It just waited for Aereth to come at him in order to leash it's tusks at him. "It's planning something fancy... But not fancy enough!" Just as he got into attacking range, Aereth launched himself off the ground, and jumped over the boar. Turning midair, Aereth's feet made contact with the tree behind the boar and he charged his <<Vertical>> sword art. Then he pushed himself away from the tree with all his strength. Aereth came flying towards the boar and released his sword art. And again the blade made contact with the boar and left a red line on his side. While the boar was busy figuring out what just happened Aereth made some distance between himself and the boar.

  8. Aereth was lying with closed eyes on his bed in the guest room of Itzal's shop. Today was his lazy day. He hadn't anything particular to do, so he opted to relax a little bit. Suddenly a message from Birdie, Itzal's first scout apprentice, popped up in front of him. It said that she and another player are working on an event quest and they needed some help. A little bit surprised, but at the same time a little bit happy that they chose him to join their group he pulled out his virtual keyboard and typed.

    Spoiler

    To: Birdie

    Thanks for inviting me to your quest. To be honest I don't have a party right now for the quest, so I would be honored to help you two. It's also a nice opportunity to get to know each other a little bit better, since we will be working together in the future.

    I'll head out right now see you there.

    Best Regards,

    Aereth

    After that, he got up on his feet and equipped his battle armor. As he got out of the door, he made his way to the F1 southeastern gates and started his search for his new comrades. After a few minutes he found the bluehaired girl and his partner. "Hi Birdie. Thanks again for inviting me." Then he turned to her black haired partner. "And also hello to you, my name is Aereth and it's nice to meet you."

    @Birdie, @Arc

  9. "Understood." He answered his friend and observed the boar cautiously. Then after it let out a snort, it came charging at Aereth. As it came closer to him it even doubled its speed in order to do more damage. But this also caused it to loose its balance, which made it easy to avoid the attack. "Now." Aereth thought and started speeding towards the boar with his maximum speed. Seeing this the boar also started charging at Aereth again. While he was running, his back got engulfed with light as he equipped his one handed straight sword. He drew it immediately and charged his <<Snake Bite>> sword art. The boar seemed to get a little bit irritated by the light, and hesitated a little bit. "When there is an opening I go for it." Just now Aereth and the boar reached each other. With a side step he avoided the attack of the boar and let go of his swor art. The sword art connected with the virtual flesh of the boar and left three big red mark on it.

  10. Time flew by as Aereth was running, jumping and climbing through the forest. This time Aereth didn't quite pay attention to his surroundings. He let himself drop to the ground, and rolled to soften the impact. As he got control of his body again, he stood up at the last roll and started running at his highest speed. He avoided one tree after another jumped over some random spawning boars and wolves. He could easily outrun both monster types without problems, so he wasn't even worried. As he reached the end of the forest and slowed his pace down. Then he stopped and looked back at the forest for one last time and couldn't help but to smile. On the left side of the road he found one last material for today. It was a small back ore, which he assumed could be used for blacksmithing. He had an interesting and productive day and also gained a whole bunch of materials.

  11. After he finished eating his sandwich, Aereth picked himself up and headed back in direction <<Starting City>> Before he left the clearing, he turned his head one last time to look at the rather beautiful clearing. "I'll have to remember this particular place. It's quiet and enjoyable." Then he jumped on the nearest branch and took off into the forest. After a few minutes, Aereth tried to find some materials, but couldn't find anything. He stopped, and tried have a closer look at his surroundings in hope he could find anything. But unfortunately, even after he stopped to look closer, he wasn't able to find even one material. Shrugging, Aereth took of to the next branch. While he was jumping form tree to tree he had to think back at the real world. "When will we get out of here? What is everybody doing while I'm in here?"

  12. Itzal explained Aereth what the grandmastered Light Armor skill is able to do. "That sounds really awesome. I'm looking forward to the time we both get it. This will be fun..." he chuckled. "Boar sounds good. I hope I don't disgrace myself while fighting it. I'll give my best." He said and smiled at his friend. After that, Itzal explained to Aereth how the different groups in the guild are labled. The scout group had the moon as their symbol. "That's cool. I'll have to think about it where I'll put mine when I succeeded the initiation." He answered his friend. Then a single boar came across the two friends, and looked rather scared at the sight of Itzal. He is a high level player, after all. After Itzal made it clear that Aereth will fight it, the boar looked cockily at Aereth. "This thing doesn't take me serious. This will be his downfall." Aereth thought while his soft and happy expression turned to a cold, serious one. He didn't let the boar out of his sight for even a second and readied himself mentally for the upcoming fight. "Attacking on your command." He said to Itzal.

    @Itzal

  13. As Aereth retreated back to Jonathan's side, his new friend told him that he was doing better than many other beginners. This made Aereth smile a little bit. "Thanks friend. But unfortunately the fight isn't over yet." He said do Jonathan, while never letting the boar out of his eyes. "Focus Aereth..." Then the boar started to charge again at Jonathan, and Aereth waited for the next opening. "This time he has to hit him, there's no way he is able to avoid this attack..." He thought, but quickly was proven wrong. In the last second Jonathan jumped to the side which resulted in the boar missing him. "That's a really impressive reaction time..." he thought while he started to speed towards the boar. This time he didn't go straight after him, he decided to run in a small bow in order to hit the boar from the side. Aereth charged once again his <<Vertical>> skill and released it to hit the boar. Unfortunately, the boar saw him coming this time and changed it's moving direction to avoid the hit. As Aereth finished his attack he saw the boar charging at him. Since there was no time to activate another sword art, Aereth decided to jump at the boars back and used it as a jumping pad in order to get back to his friend. "This attack was not so good. Sorry..."

  14. "Haha, seems like you are. You can be sure that I'll work my ass of to get there one day." he answered his friend. Then he saw Itzal shrugging, and explaining to him that the real sh*t is about to start when the <<Light Armour>> skill is grandmastered. Aereth on his side din't know what that would be, so he decided to ask his friend about it. "What exactly happens when you grandmaster the Light Armor skill? Because I've never been able to see somebody using such high level skills down here." Itzal asked him which type of mob he would like to fight and Aereth said. "For me either is fine. I unfortunately don't know the attack pattern of any monsters, so for me it doesn't matter. So you can decide who you want to see me fight with." Then he saw his friend scan the area for materials, so he also decided to look around a little bit. His eyes spotted an odd looking stone. It was flat and leaning against a dead stomp of a tree. "This one would be too obvious..." Aereth thought, but still walked over to the stone and put it aside. Behind the stone was a litte whole, and as Aereth put his hand inside the whole, he could feel something cold and heavy. He pulled it out of the hole, and it looked like a metal ingot. He smiled and put it into his inventory. Returning back to Itzal, he said happily. "Finally the third material. Seems like the first test is over."

  15. Leaning his back on the stomp where the quest NPC was sitting, Aereth closed his eyes. He could feel the wind brushing through his hair and scarf. Somehow this situation right now was very calming for him. Also the last few rays of sunshine were hitting his face. He knew that it had to be around six or seven o clock, but he didn't bother himself with looking at the clock in the menu right now. All he cared right now was, how relaxing this little moment right now was. No worries, no disturbances. Just he alone in the forest enjoying the sunset. After a few minutes he opened his eyes again, and started to search in his inventory for his last sandwich. As he found it he pressed the according button in the menu and it materialized in his hand. "I think I'll do just a little bit more training until I call it a day." Then he took a bite and enjoyed his last sandwich for the day. "After I get back into the town, I think I will head to Urbus and see if I can get myself something to drink there... Yes, this seems like a good idea, I earned it after all." He thought.

  16. After Aereth finished his first sip, another player entered the tavern, took a seat at the bar a little bit away from Aereth, and also ordered a large glass of beer. He had red-pinkish hair and was neatly dressed. But something about him seemed off. "He looks a little bit troubled and deep in thoughts... Maybe I should join him, since a little bit of company couldn't harm anybody. And from the looks, he seems to be a nice guy." He thought, while grabbing his glass and making his way over to the player with the striking hair-color. While he was walking over the player he took a closer look at the interior of the bar. It had a very nice style and was lager in the inside than it seemed from the outside. There weren't many players inside, so it also wasn't very loud and Aereth was able to hear the background music very clearly. It had something medival on it, and all in all he quite enjoyed the atmosphere. Then he reached the other player and took a seat to his right. Aereth moved his scarf down a little bit and spoke to the man, who seemed to be a little bit younger than himself. "Hey friend. You ok? Because you seem to be thinking about something troublesome." Then he took another sip of his beer and smiled at the man. "By the way, the name is Aereth and it's nice to meet you."

    @Domarus, @Able, @Lessa

  17. Urbus: Aereth swiped his right hand to open the menu to check the time. "21:57, the training is over, now it's time to enjoy myself." He thought, as he wandered through the almost empty streets of Urbus. He had been training alone the whole day in order to get a better feeling for his virtual body. He gathered some materials, pissed some boars and wolves and practiced his parcouring skills. He hadn't been at floor to until some days ago. He liked Urbus since the first time he saw the city. It was built in an medival European style which, remembered him of the real world, since he was coming from Europe. After some walking, Aereth found a rather small tavern with a shield over the door which said: "The Cast Sword Inn". So Aereth decided to enter the tavern and thought. "This is convenient. I am able to get some drinks in here, AND go to sleep afterwards without leaving the building." Aereth smiled. As he got inside the tavern, he took a seat at the bar and the NPC-barkeeper said. "Good evening sir, what may I serve you?" Aereth laughed and aswered him. "For a start, a large glass of beer, please." The bartender nodded, fetched a large glass, filled it with virtual beer and handed it to Aereth. "Thanks, friend." He repilied and took his first sip. "This won't be my last today..." he thought while chuckling.

    @Domarus, @Able

  18. "Dude, that was my exact train of thoughts. You into mind reading or something?" Aereth laughed. "Then we have a common goal to accomplish. And I'll have to speed up my pace in order to catch up to you. I'm eager to learn everything from you. Be it scouting or anything else. I'm really glad you came down that roof on that one day." He joked. Then Aereth replied to Itzal's comment about the climbing. "Yes exactly. I also did some lead climbing some time ago when I was about 17 or 18 years old. But moving, running, climbing, almost everything is different in here. With this virtual body you can do so many things, you wouldn't be able to do with your real body, it's ridiculous. I still need to learn very much about how to move this body properly and I'm looking forward to our training sessions." Itzal then talked about how he also would need the Material Arts skill, so that he could use his strongest sword art and that he used to sing is his own room if he couldn't sleep. "Yes, training together would be awesome. Punching a rock may become a little bit boring if you don't have any company. That's cool, maybe I will visit you in your shop sometime, to hear something from you." Again he started to look for materials, and again, he wasn't able to find anything and took another bite from his chicken sandwich.

  19. "Haha, perfect." He answered. "Have no fear, I will become who I want to become. For now I want to learn how to scout properly, and after I've mastered the scouting and finished my training with you, I will go all out damage, and become also useful after I've found the boss rooms. You could say, I aim for an hybrid build." Aereth said to his friend. After his filthy comment, Aereth noticed how Itzal shifted uncomfortably and he had to chuckle a little bit. "I really like him, he's seems so innocent and pure." He thought. "Yeah man, the best way to describe this feeling to you, is when I show you how you do it yourself with your girl. And we can work on an additional hobby. I mean come on, we are in a huge f***ing game so there have to be some fun things you can do outside of fighting and teaching." After that Aereth looked around for materials. But once again wasn't able to find anything. Then Itzal asked him about the sports he liked and Aereth answered. "Yeah I love sports. In the summer I love to go hiking and climbing. And in the winter there is nothing better to go skiing. Also from time to time I used to go to the gym in the real world. Maybe that is the reason why I want to pick up the Material Arts skill and the athletics skill mod at some point in time." He paused and took another bite from his sandwich. "So about the singing. Did you pick it up inside the game, or did you start singing back in the real world?" He asked.

    @Itzal

  20. As Aereth retreated to Jonathan's side, he noticed that the tank was smiling at him. "Yeah I'm doing my best." Then the boar attacked Jonathan, but he swiftly dogged ghe boars attempt to hit him. "Wow it's impressing how fast he is able to move, even though he wears such an heavy armour." Aereth thought, while he noticed that the boar was showing his back to him. "That's my chance to get another hit in!" He charged at the boar again and readied his <<Vertical>> skill one again. When he reached the boar, he unleashed the skill and sliced him across his back. After finishing his attack Aereth kicked the boar away and retreaded one again to Jonathan's side. "Your movements are very impressing my friend, I'm sure, that even though, that I want to become a scout, I will be able to learn a whole lot regarding combat from you." He smiled to Jonathan.

  21. "Sounds good, if you find one, it's gonna be my treat." He smiled to his friend. After that Itzal tossed him a chicken sandwich and explained him that there is one American shop that sells only chicken and that he considers to visit America when this is all over. Taking a bite, Aereth thought "I'm really glad that i met him back then. He's a good person and seems to be a relieable friend." "Did I ever say thank you for all the stuff you did for me when we met? If not, then let me say it now. Thanks for helping me out at the beginning. Also for the food and other stuff. You're a great guy, and I look forward to a good friendship with you." He smiled at his friend. After that Itzal asked him what his favourite thing to do with his girlfriend. "With or without clothes?" He chuckled. "Haha, jokes aside, I'd say dancing. For many reasons. While dancing, I can connect with her in a very special way, I don't even know how to describe this feeling. It's just so..." he struggled to find the right words. "Like I said i can't even describe it properly. And second, I'm a very active guy and I like to work out. So if I'm able to do sports and spend time with my girlfriend it's like you can do two things you love at once." Then he looked around for materials but literally couldn't find anything.

    @Itzal

  22. Itzal told Aereth about different colors and their meanings, and chuckled at his joke from before. Then he told Aereth that materials never run out. they just become harder to find. So also the persons which are looking for them have to get better in searching and spotting them. "I don't know it for sure but if you say so it has to be true, since you are a scout paladin." He looked in every direction, even climbed a tree to get a better overview, but he still wasn't able to find anything. As he got down again, Itzal asked him what his favourite food was and Aereth replied. "That's a hard question, because I really love to eat. So there are so many kinds of food I like. But I think right now I would kill for a traditional Austrian pork roast with a big glass of freshly drafted beer. That's because my mother made this on special occasions, and I just didn't find a NPC or player who was able to cook something like this." Just the thought of it, made his stomach grumble.
