  2. That slash attack send Row flying back a few feet. While she was able to throw her shield up, to block some of the force, the attack still went through. She clenched her teeth as she hit the ground. Her shield glowed on contact but by the time she checked her equipment, it had returned to normal. The red marks on her body vanished and her health bar dropped quite a bit. This was her first time taking this level of damage so she was a bit startled. "Ouch... They don't call this a boss for nothing." She stuck her spear into the ground and pulled herself. The boss had almost half its hp since last she check. Vargas must had landed a critical attack or something. She did not want let down her teammate.

"Round two! Stupid elf, is that all ya got!"

  3. "Me afraid? Hah, Treasure hunters are fearless. We do whatever it takes to get the treasure senpai!" The boar was still squealing after the devastating counter blow she gave it. Its face was lodged into the ground as it struggled to free its tusk. Row took her distance, not wanting to fall to another surprise attack. Returning to what Zulas said, Row imaged herself as a tank this game and thus she was not afraid of being hit. If anything, she welcomed it if she could get a good counter attack off. Still, she would prefer not to get knocked round by the pig mob in order to remain cool in her senpai's eyes.

The boar continued to pull against the dirt. Well if the boar was going to play around then maybe she could get a free hit. She ran to the boar raising her spear when suddenly the boar's head came out of the ground and it jumped into the air and headbutted Row. She flew into the air but managed to recover and dive down, piecing the boar.

  4. First the guy introduced himself as Harry after brushing off the woman's statement about sleeping in a low level zone. Then the woman gave one last sign of protest before giving up. Row herself was not worried about the mobs, but then again, she could take them unlike a lot of the lower levels. She giggled after everyone finished speaking as now it was her turn to talk. "Ok ok, my Name is Omi Rei World, but you can call me R.O.W." Another giggle followed as she tilted her head and closed her eyes. Had this been an one on one meeting, she would have does something a little more fun, but she did not know this high level and the girl appeared to be a little strict if not scary. She was not scared but she knew to respect the people who had the power. She also wished that they answered her question, or at least Harry did since it was the sole reason for her walking over.

  5. Row noticed that Zulas was backing away from the fight. He did not drop his weapon but he did not attack the boar. She smiled and turned to the boar. Gripping her weapon tightly, she spun out above her head. The weapon slipped and fell to her side. "Darn it... I can never pull off that trick." Bending over to pick up the weapon, she did not see the boar charging at her. Its tusk swung wildly, as it closed in the the unsuspecting treasure hunter. Row looked up to see that she was being attacked much earlier than normal. She picked up her spear and started jumping back to prepare for a counter attack. At worst she might get hit, but she was sure that she was going to be able it hit it hard right back.

Row jumped back one last time, dodging the boars head bash. After the boar hit the ground, she swung her spear and struck the creature on the head.

  6. Row saw the elf and let out a sigh. She was nowhere near as scary as she picture her to be. In fact, she looked surprising beatable. When Vargas gave her approval to start the fight, she dived into the fray without a second thought. "RAWR You walking thing of treasure, die now so i can loot your corpse mwhahaha." She spawns her gauntlets spear and shield. Her stats drastically rose compared to her level and her killing intent rose exponentially. Holding her spear out, she spun out in the air like a helicopter's rotor in an attempt to appear cool. However, her hand slipped and the spear flew out of her hand behind her. "Uh... you didn't see that!"

  7. After studying the boars on the first floor, she was becoming bored. While she wanted to go engage the boars for their treasure, she was feeling very lazy. Although there was always time for treasure, there was not always time for deadly combat. She ended up just walking along the edge of the boar's hostel zone. She has been practicing this for a while and could avoid these threat like a fly could avoid your hand.

While walking, she noticed a guy practicing his swords skills. She never saw the purpose in doing that but who was she to judge another persons use of time. She watched him from the distance, happy to see something else besides a boar. After a few more strikes he lied down on the grass and started resting. Shortly after that a blond girl appeared and started speaking to him. With nothing else to do, she decided to stop by and say hi. Maybe she could even question why he was doing such a thing.

    "Hi everyone, what ya doing?"

  8. "I told you, I am not scared. Also, I don't back down from a treasure hunt!" She folded her arms pretending to be mad even though she was still worried. She could not help but smile when he patted her head. For some reason she felt like they could do this. Then they set off to the boss mob.

When they arrive at the Forest of Wavering Mists, Row noticed all the mist. Her eyes glowed with delight as she rubbed her hands together. The spooky atmosphere signaled the challenge that existed in the area. Even more obvious was the fact that really good treasure should exist here. How could it not. The flags were all there after all. "Vargas, you know we will find the treasures." She stared at him with fiery determination while holding her fist in a ready pose. "I am sure the Great Dices Gods will be on our side."

  9. Row was a little started at the attention the two were getting. First it was a blond high level player who notice the newer player's mood. It appeared that she had experience similar things as well the two started talking, sharing opinions until another man entered greeting the blond player. The two poked fun at each other but it was clear that they knew each other. In fact they were probably good friends. Suddenly the depressed player appeared a little off. Was he the type who got scared around groups of people? "Hey everyone, I think..." Before she could finish another player appeared looking for the blond hair girl. This girl seemed to be popular.

Feeling too small to just interject with the woman friends, Row walked up to the Wolf. "Hey is everything ok. We can move to a quieter place if you feel uncomfortable." She was careful not to just jump in his bubble but she wanted to be heard under all the commotion.

  10. "Unless you count running into an open plain to fight the treasure boars... no." She smiled while clapping her hands. It was nice to visit another city for once. Vargas started walking down the road and stopped at a blacksmith. Row did not follow him in but she quickly realized what he did when a new quest popped open in her window. Once he came out, he said that they had to kill a dark elf to finish the quest.

"Dark elf? They have those. Do they drop good treasures? Wait... if we are on the third floor, wouldn't this elf be super strong?" She started to ponder this mob. Ultimately, she would fight it anyway because it was what she signed up for. "I am not afraid if that is what you are think. I can take her or him... or it." She folded her arms and turned around to hide her worried face. Sweat was running down her face as she imagined fighting this giant boss that could just step on her and crush her with one attack.

  11. "Wait... the third floor?" Before she could even debate the risk, Vargas disappeared to the designated floor. She took a deep breath before operating the device. She never been off the first floor and thus did not know what to expect. She never even been to the second floor and yet she was running forward to tank for the third floor. This had to be the dumbest decision she has ever made. Yet before she knew it she was warping to the third floor.

There was a delay between the time Vargas appeared and Row followed. Granted some of that was the fact that Row never used a teleport before, but most of that delay was just her worrying about nothing. "I did it... am I alive? Is this what death is like? Oh look Vargas is here." She ran over to him while taking in the surroundings. "Wow it's so... primitive, compared to the Town of Beginning."

  12. Row backed up, startled at the mans answer. Sure she could see it after paying more attention, but it was still shocking none the less. What would you even call that color? The man asked if she was Row before asking about her level. She laughed while looking away. She really wanted to go on another adventure and knew it might be a problem if he ever found out she was level one. Putting on a big smile while trying to avoid eye contact. "Yes yes, I am Row and don't worry about levels. What truly matters is your spirit for adventure and your ability to find treasure. Both of which I fulfill." She scanned him a minute before returning to her speech. "I have gear ya know. I am super strong and stuff, trust me." She clapped and turned around. "So leader, are you ready to be protected by the great treasure hunter!" She pointed her fingers out to the sky and closed her eyes. She really hoped he did not press her too much for avoiding the question.

After watching a few boars fight other players, Row felt she could get the hang of this combat. Her movements where getting more sharper and her defense was stronger than ever after practicing her technique. She stacked up a nice collection of treasures but it was not enough. Inside, she craved for more treasure. She craved for more col. She craved for more mats. She wanted them all and nothing was going to stop her. She ran out to the field and noticed a group of boars. Like a lion stalking its prey, she crawled through the grass and summoned her equipment. She was not going to let them get away so easily. Finally one spotted her but it was too late. Combat was unavoidable now. All four took up their stance and readied their tusk. However, none of them made the first move. With this little bit of time, Row did a quick scan to see how powerful her enemy was.

"Finally, someone who wants to go out on an adventure for treasures!"

Row cheered upon getting the pm from a player called Vargas, grabbing her armor, her spear, and shield while rushing out to the meeting spot. The message said the main square on the 1st floor. She did not know what kind of person he was or where he wanted to go but she was ready to duke it out with whatever so long as it could drop treasure. Racing to the main square, she saw a teen with colorful hair that resembled some sort of fire. It was a very distinguishing trait for the sheer fact that she did not know you could get that color for your hair.

"Wow, your hair is like a fire. How much money did that cost you?"

She started walking around him studying the coloration. Though she did not think it was natural, looking closer, she could see the possibility.

  15. "There is no need girl, we are already here." Said the old woman with a smirk on her face. Row dropped the rails of the cart and fell to the ground exhausted. "You can't stop now, there is still work to do. Time is money."

"And rest is happiness," protested Row who was crawling to a wall.

The woman shook her head while removing the cloth from the top of her cart. "Your next object will require less physical strength and more charisma so do try to put a smile on your face."

Row moaned as she picked herself up. Seeing all the bottles, books, metal ore, and other crap gave her a good hint on what she had to do next.

"That is the spirit kid, you will be finished when you manage to sell 10 items from our stand." said the woman as she put up an open sign.

  16. She did not know if it was through sheer effort or dumb luck but the cart was finally moving. The cart was not moving very fast but it was nice to see that she was not completely incapable of pulling such a thing. The old woman chuckled as if she did not believe Row could not move the thing. If all her mental energy was not focus on keeping the cart in motion, she would be making faces at the woman. Slowly the woman was putting distance between while taunting her for moving like elderly person. After a few more verbal attacks, Row gave out a battle cry.

"Look here witch. Just because your some piece of code doesn't mean you can trash talk me." The woman did not respond, hiding her response behind a single chuckle. "You know what fine. You want me to die to complete this quest. Then just know I will die a merchant"

  17. Row smiled while lowering her head. Her eyes darted to the edge of her eye to catch this seminar that the man was giving. He clearly understood economics and it was nice to speak in such an easy and clear manner. However neither of them were in a position to play merchant so such a topic was wasteful at best. Still, she could not help by play along. "Maybe if you describe value as monetary worth but I am sure you understand that their is more ways to identify how much worth an object has then some number of pretty coin shape metals." She turned around grinning. "Even then, that is the beauty of treasure. Treasure does not need the acceptance of others to hold value. It does not need a tag labeling how many rocks are require to purchase. What determines true value is demand or a need. No matter what the world said, if you want that rock then it holds value. If i want the rock, then it holds value."

She picked up the rock out of his hand.

"Even if the world thinks this rock is worthless, all it takes is one person to find something unique be it tangible or not and then you have your self a treasure. Memories, bonds, experiences, are all things that bring value to something. It brings happiness to those who want it. If that treasure threaten, it brings out the fighting spirit in us and then we fight. Why do we fight? We fight for treasure. We fight to keep our treasure safe. We fight to make more treasure and to turn the things around us into a priceless gem. That is why I fight."

  18. So the man was sulking in his sadness, judging by his outburst. She flinched at first but after he calmed down, she build up the courage to look back up at the broken man. He spouted blasphemy about how useless treasure was. Clearly his mind was too narrow to see the truth about treasure. See, treasure does not have to always be col. It does not solely exist as a rare drop or a limited item from an event. Treasure can be anything, as long as you value it. It can be the people, time, and even memories. While she could be all cliche and say how memories are the best treasure, she would be only lying. In her mind the best treasures were the things you could hold in your hand.

Either way, this man needed to be taught a lesson. She walked in front of him and leaned down with her hands on her hips. "The only useless treasure, is something with no value, dummy!" She stood up and shifted her hands up from her hip to fold her arms. Turning around, she looked up to the sky. "You cannot find treasure in the past. Instead, you can only find the clues needed to bring value to the future. Once your map is completed, then you can find the most valuable treasure ever." She did not smile even though she was bubbling with excitement.

  20. Row was wandering around, delighted about the lack of players. It was not like there was no player around as a few groups of people could be found scattered across the city. What made it delightful was the lack of human current. The streets were not busy and thus it was easy for a smaller girl like herself to walk around. While population equates to more money, such things did not matter if you had nothing to sell. It was hard to be sad while being a noob in this area like this. Everyone had so much potential and hope. While everyone did not smile, none could deny the shear joy from being innocent in a fantasy world. That is what she told herself at least. Then she saw something with stood out. A player was sitting alone in the town square. He seemed to be in deep thought about something but Row was as good a mind reader as a worm was as good seeing. Could worms even see?

Back to the main point, she started moving closer to the man until she heard him say something almost depressing.

    “Why do I fight?”

She giggled while standing beside him, "Isn't it obviously? You fight to get the treasure!" She turned to him smiling not knowing or caring how it made her look or how it made him feel. Treasure was the best thing ever and who could be sad over that.

  21. Row's smiled dropped at the woman's request. Sure she was much younger than her and wore heavy armor but she was still a young girl. Then again, that should of been more than enough reason to help the woman. Letting out a sigh, she walked over to the cart. Grabbing the two rails, she attempted to pull it. The chart was extremely heavy and yet this old woman was able to move it so effortlessly. Row's face went read as she took a deep breath and pulled again.

"Come on darling, we have a quota to make." The woman's sweet smile turned into a heartless frown, one that cared little about anything but the mission. In short, this sweet old woman was but a shell to a shrew old which of pure evil.

Row cried as she tugged on the harder on the cart. Even though it was heavy, she would not give up on the quest.

  22. All the other professions had their dedicated locations so why could this one not? She let out a sigh and looked into the sky. Maybe this was one of those quest that randomly appear after some time. Then again, that would be a stupid idea.

An old woman carrying a cart walked to the fountain and chuckled, "Hey their darning. You seem bored. Would you like to learn the art of trade as a merchant?"

Row laughed seeing how the quest giver just found her. Maybe the key was to sit at the fountain? Either way, she nodded to the old woman, which signaled a window showing the quest's details to appear. Click the yes button, the woman laughed. "Very well, could you help me with my cart. These old bones are not what they use to be. You are filled with youth and vigor of an adventure after all."

  23. Row walked through the town looking for this mysterious NPC that gives the merchant profession quest. It was the one job the resonated with her as she has always been a marketer at heart. In fact, This was the very thing she did in every game she has played. While it was not technically a class in most games, she loved that she could get benefits for it being a class in SAO. Since she was not a power gamer, she knew there would be other players who where way father then she was so there was no guarantee she would super successful but at least she could have fun with it. "YOSH" she threw her fist in the air and continue running through the town looking for her mysterious quest giver. After twenty minutes she found herself at a fountain with no success. There was not even a clue.

  25. The the boar flew pass Row as it avoided her counter attack. Row's spear was in the ground not from being stuck but from disappointment. She did not think she would miss again. To be honest, she really felt like this would be her lucky strike. This battle had been going on for a really long time now and she was wonder if she should just go home. She was sure she could get away if she needed to, but the boar's hp was so low now. Letting out a sigh, she picked up her weapon and prepared for another clash of faiths. Her shield aimed to protect her while her spear aimed to piece into the boar's very body. The boar started charging forward again. Its attacks were really becoming predictable, but its power continued to rise regardless making it hard to guess its next move.
