Damien

That wonder never really seemed to cease as Damien continued walking for another ten minutes before he decided he needed to actually look a lot harder or think more about what type of thing might go into a potion. Continuing on, the question eventually diminished as Damien came across something that looked like a rather small bird feather from his view. Damien walked closer to the discovered 'feather' to get a better glimpse.

Upon closer examination of this green feather-looking material, Damien discovered that it did not happen to actually be a feather. It happened to simply be some dead grass. Damien tossed it back on the ground and continued his search for more materials to give to the NPC so he could have these potions. " Hmmmm.... That is a good idea though, I should find some feathers. Maybe bird feathers would work well in potions. Well, at least better than dead grass, for that matter."

Damien began his walk into the wild from the town's southern-most gates. The scenery from outside of the town was simply stunning. The bright sun and beautiful clouds spread in a wide array with the morning mist-this was the definitive beauty of a perfect day back in the real world. "The designers have obviously put a lot of thought into the game's graphics and such. One, if not the most, important aspect to a VRMMORPG." 

Far in the distance Damien could see a pack of boars sitting down and nibbling on the grass. They, too, seemed to be enjoying the beautiful day. 

In his left hand Damien did carry his <<Iron Curved Sword>>, although Damien doubted he would need it while on this quest, as he was not far out away from the town. Monsters did not seem to spawn too closely to the Town of Beginnings. "Hmmmm.... Okay, so what kind of material am I gonna find out here in the grass I wonder? "

"Okay", responds Damien, "But what kind of materials are you looking for, for these potions?" 

Damien had found a rather good seeming quest which was to simply help a NPC alchemist find some materials so the guy could show him how to craft a potion. The rewards: A gain of some skill points and a lot of potions. I mean, who wouldn't consider that an amazing deal? So as soon as he could, Damien had hopped onto the quest and now here he was.

"Just any kind of material that you think would work well in a potion." The NPC, Zakariah, responded. "Just find at least 5 materials and bring them here."

"Okie dokie, I'll go and find some." 

And with that, Damien was exiting the alchemist's shop and headed out to find some materials. five, to be exact. He walked through the town, which was, as always, bustling with activity from other players of the game. Damien's destination: The closest town gates.

Couldn't seem to find the answer to my question anywhere, so I decided I'd just ask it here. With the col/mat tracking system, does staff just update those at topic completion, or when we receive them, or?

Damien has both dark blue eyes and spiked dark hair. He is skinny but at the same time has muscles. Usually is seen with a rather blank expression. Damien enjoys wearing athletic type clothing, (ie. shorts, t-shirts, sweatpants, etc.) and can sometimes be seen running without a shirt.

Previous Filed Records:

Damien's parents had originally lived in the USA, where Damien was born. Life was good there, until about the time Damien came to be 10 years of age. His father had owned a small business, but his business had become very irrelevant and unneeded in the place they lived. Soon, they were barely making enough money to sustain themselves, but hope was not gone. His father had been able to find a place in Japan where he could educate himself in new inventive methods of his profession.

The family seemed to think it would be a good idea to move to Japan, since they all kinda liked the lifestyle of the Japanese people. In fact, Damien's mother's mother had come from Japan to the America's, so they had already taken visits to Japan every so often to Japan with their grandmother. 

So then Damien grew up in Japan, where he soon grew a big interest in mythology, as well as in art. His favorite thing to do when he was bored was to jog down to a local art museum where he lived, where he could see all the pictures depicting fascinating dragons. 

Whith all of these mythological creatures he loved so much, Damien knew he had to get SAO as soon as he saw the trailer. Damien swiftly began commissioning traditional art works to local people, as well as taking online commissions. When the game finally came out with the beta testing, Damien watched the game's news and updates every day, eagerly and excitedly watching. 

Valuable Assets:

Observant. Damien is a rather quiet and shy-ish(on occasion) character. He usually would rather sit quietly and listen to other's stupidity than be in on the stupidity. This gives him an edge when he actually does want to know something-instead of actually having to ask someone for information, he could just steal the data from other's conversations.

Persistent. Damien is not one to give up. He will do whatever he needs to do as long as he believes it will help him achieve the result he wants out of something. 

Kind. Damien is a rather kind person, and is not one to be rude. [well, unless you're being a *bleep* to one of his friends] He is not afraid to stand up for the people who need to be stood up for. No matter what the threat. Sometimes people wonder if Damien is too kind though...

Not-So Valuable Assets:

Socially Awkward. Damien can be what you might call socially awkward sometimes. He has trouble talking to people face to face, and does not like crowds. At parties and social events, Damien is often the person sitting in the corner, staring from a distance. 

Gullible. As we said earlier, Damien is a very kind person. This sometimes will get him into some trouble. Damien may be tricked into doing unnecessary things for people.

Lonely. As kind as Damien is, he likes to be alone, where he knows he can't hurt anyone, and so he doesn't have to witness anyone of the people he is close too die. So he tries to keep people away from him, hence sending him solo on missions which we all know is not good.
