  1. To Hei it seemed the younger player understood what he said about the game being as it was wasn't that bad, as he told him, that oncehe would become strong enough to survive he would do whatever he wanted. This was the kind of thinking Hei had had for the last two or so years, even though he had found a kind of family, so he was bound to stay save for them. There were a few risky things he would love to try, but he wouldn't do, as he knew how hard the death of one of their members had been to the guild and he wouldn't want them to go through this pain again. When the boy declined his offer, stating that he would get strong enough on his own Hei had to smile as he though this to be the right attitute to archive ones goals. "Well, if that's the case I wont stop you from doing so. But be assured, if you ever need help you can message me and I'll be there" he replied.

Once they had started going on the hunt for the boars and Akio had found out about the quest location tool, the infobrokers, who really were a little expensive if one had no income and the guide, that had become quite big by now, they would start their hunt. Arriving at one of the hills, a stunning view of grassy hills, the forest in the background and multiple small boars was what they were blessed with. Hei pointed at one of the boars and as the game system noticed it, it showed it's HP bar and the cursor, implying that it was a passive mob, that wouldn't attack untill it was attacked. "Okay, so here we are. These are the boars you have to kill and loot for the tusks for the old blacksmith. I don't know what weapon you use, even though you look like a dagger user, so I can't exactly tell you how to do it, but there are stances that start your swordskills if you hold them for a little. Most of the time it's simply the beginning of the movement you want the weapon to do. If you hold it your weapon will start glowing and if you release the skill, the system will take over for a short time, guiding your movements to land some serious hit or hits. You should go and try it yourself while I'll be here, looking for some materials and if you need help, just call out to me, I'll be right there."

So Hei left the boy alone for a moment, so he could experience the thrill of fighting and the mechanics for himself, and made his way down the hill to a bushy area, as he hoped there would be materials for him to use, but it seemed the area really was just made bushy for appeareance. Maybe he would be more lucky somewhere else, but for the moment he would stay there and watch the boy fight his first fight.

  2. When Akio answered his more or less rhetorical question about him liking raptors Hei had to smile. It was such a n innocent few of the world many kids had, and Hei really liked being around players who were like this. To him the game world had lost it's wonders long ago, probably shortly after he had started his job, but then again, there had been other things he had been interested in. Being reminded off the times before he analysed games rather than simply enjoying the fabulous worlds they created was a really nice thing, so instinctively Hei said "You know, it's not as bad as you might see it. It's dangerous and it's definitely not the right thing Kayaba did, but it's a chance for all of us to really live the adventure we hoped for. I'll help you get strong enough to see the raptors if you'd like." The last part was mostly, because he had noticed the boys looking a little disappointed when he had told him which floor they were on.

So when they were at the tree and talking about the quest, Hei nodded when Akio asked him if he knew the quest. It was one of the simple beginner quests everyone should do for starters, as they did not just showed you how to play the game, but even were a good source of starter items and they rewarded the players who did them with quite some nice xp. Hei was thinking back to when he had done the quest, but he couldn't really remember any more, as it had been so long ago, but when Akio asked where one would find the boar pubs Hei smiled again. "Well, I know that we have to head out to the hills right over there, but just in case you don't have anyone around to tell you, there is two ways to get Information like these. First there are quests that include map data, specifying the area you have to go, they got this button that looks a lot like a treasure map down in the description in the quest log, I think this one should have this feature" he said and waited for Akio to have a look. Then he continued "The second way to get information on quest is to find an information broker or the newest version of the guidebook. It contains most information the stronger players gathered by now and it's for free"

  3. After Hei had asked the player he had followed what he had done the player hesitated a moment before he told him that he had started stealing, as he didn't know any combat mechanics. This made Hei think for a moment. He hadn't known that stealing would change ones cursor colour, but it was a fair assumption it actually did. Still having something like stealing make you appear as if you were a PKer was rather hard on Hei's mind.

When he realized that the boy told him he stole, as he wasn't able to grind and fight, Hei started to think about how difficult living like this must have been. Stealing as one can't simply go out and hunt a few monsters, but at the same time the orange cursor that was a result of these actions prevented the boy from staying save in the town, as the guards would hunt him down whenever they notice him. So he was forced to stay outside, where the mobs he couldn't fight were.

Before Hei could wonder why the player didn't knew the combat mechanics he more or less answered the question himself, as he told him he had gotten a quest that would teach him. It seemed that the player hadn't done the tutorial quests by now, so it was no wonder he didn't know. Before they could continue to talk about this Huatli had arrived and the boy was distracted from all else. It seemed he was super excited about there being raptors and started asking questions, then stopping to tell him his name, even if it was a little hesitant.

"Well, nice to meet you Akio." Hei said, and bowed down to scratch Huatlis head before he turned back to Akio. "Sounds like you really like raptors, and yes, there are really dangerous raptors out there, and as far as I know, they fight in groups. I found some of them on the sixth floor, deep within the jungle, which is where I got this little one from." Once again he scratched Huatlis head. Hei waited if Akio had more questions, would have answered them and after that he asked "You said you just got a quest teaching you about battle, it wouldn't by any chance be the second tutorial quest. It's the one for teh smith that sends you to kill some small boars."

  4. The player that had just bumped into him that he had recognized as the one who had ordered the armour with the ability to change their colours seemed to be just as perplexed by the coincident of them running into each other just a few days after the item had been done, so he just stuttered a few words. Hei was about to ask, where the boy was heading to when he heard some guards running towards them, chasing the boy.
It was only now that he noticed the players cursor wasn't green like his own one, but orange. Was this boy a player killer? He couldn't really believe it, but there were other ways, like getting attacked by someone who still has a green cursor and fighting back before the first strike was dealt. He had heard of things like that, so he wouldn't instantly assume him being one of the real PKers. And even if, the boy wouldn't stand a chance if he should try to attack Hei, so when the boy grabbed his hand and started running Hei followed him out of town.

On their way there they had to run through narrow streets and multiple times Hei nearly lost sight of the boy, who seemed to be trained in running away. As Hei now tried to remember he wasn't sure if he had had an orange cursor when he was in the shop, so maybe he was running and sneaking past the guards for some time.
Once they reached the outskirts of town and Hei was sure they were beyond the guards aggro range he stopped panting a little and looked at the boy before asking "What was this all about? What have you done to have earned this treatment?" He knew he wanted to get some answers, but there was something he should do beforehand, that might make it a little easier, so he added "By the way, I'm Hei and this little one is Huatli, what's your name again?" and as he said her name, the small raptor jumped from behind him, hissing at the assassin styled boy.

  5. Lately it had been busy in the Hanger again and Hei was running low on materials, as it always happened. Who evern thought it would be a good idea to have crafting have such a high chance of using up the mats without producing what you were going for must love to see others suffer. Hei didn't really remember how often it had been in the last years, that his shop had been booming with customers, but all he could tell them was that he would message them once he had finished their Itemsand that it would take a while, since he would have to go and gather materials.

Thinking back to his days before SAO and his job, he remembered an article he had written way back then, that had covered the same topic in older MMORPGs and how there were players that earned their living with farming mats for other players. As he remembered it, Hei wondered there weren't any players doing so in this game, sure it could be dangerous, but once one had reached a good level gathering on the first few floors was completely save and a good source of income without having to fight tought mobs or go questing. However he didn't remember anyone doing it, so he had to go out for his own.

As Hei just left the town on his way to the grassy hills he bumped into a player that was running the same way, while reading something in his menu. "Sorry, I didn't see you" he started to apologize as he noticed it was the player that had just bought a new armour of his shop. "Oh, hello there, nice seeing you again and to have a chance to see the armour in action. Looks good on you."

  6. Hei wasn't to sure what to make off what Dustin had just said. Was he going back and stop fighting with them, or would he just need a longer rest. And what was it with that broken sword he was staring at? Maybe he would have to talk to Dustin later, finding out what was going on, but as they were here for a kind of mission and it seemed like Dustin and Jinx got along well enough, with Dustin even bringing pancakes for her, he felt save with leaving them to have their rest, while he would wander off a little bit, searching for some materials he would be able to use in his smithy.

Before he left, Hei turned around ans said "I'm gonna look for some materials, just take your time to regain your strenght and message or yell for me once you want to continue our little quest for col" With this said he turned his back to the two of them and walked off into the garden. The garden area of this court was the smallest part of it all, containing  nothing more than a few flowers, but Hei was sure there had to be materials to find, as the quest that included the garden increased the chances for finding some. So Hei wandered around, looking at the flowers and staying away from the armours that were walking around the court, but all he found was flowers that burt into pixels once one plucked them.

  7. Hei was about to do one of his friends a favour, as she needed a new weapon, but she had not enough money to order one herself. Besides that, Hei wanted to surprise her with the weapon, so he choose the player he had heard off that was the best smith around and made his way to Macradon's shop.
Once he entered the shop he greeted the smith that was behind his counter with a smile and took one of the order forms to fill it in with all the information. Once he was done he handed it over and said "Hey Macradon, I got this order for you. I don't have the mats to pay for it, so here is the col for it. It would be really nice if you could finish it soon. I want to surprise someone with it."

  8. After Hei had finished the hand wraps his friend had ordered Hei turned to the order forms that were still lying on his desk. All of them were Tier one items he hadn't been able to craft, as he had no mats of that tier at hand, but Dustin had been a good friend and handed him a share of his materials. It wasn't a huge amount, but would probably be enough to finish at least one order, maybe more if he got lucky.

So with the new material Hei went to the sewing room and started working on the items and the first one he finished was of really good quality. The armour he crated really fit well with @Iron_Lion's Style and would probalby be all he needed for the next twenty or even more levels. So with the Armour done he opened the menu and sent a message at the assassin like player who hadn't even shown his face when he had orderd.
Hey, I got your armour ready for pickup. Please get it and leave the col for payment.

ooc: please send the col via the banker
After he had finished that one, the others came out okay, but not good enough for his customers who had ordered perfect items.

  10. Hei had been working on Dustins order one whole day already and none of the items he had created were good enough for his friend. When he entered the shop the next morning he started working on the new item as soon as he had time. When a player entered the shop he paused his work to greet her and show her the store, but it seemed she had special items in mind, as she ordered two Items. Hei looked at the orders and as she paid with col he turned to her and said "I'll try to craft the items once the last order is done, but it might take a while, as I don't have any tier one material in stock right now. It would be faster if you could pay in mats if there was any chance. But it doesn't matter which method of payment you finally use, I'll message you once the items are done" OOC: @Yugana

  11. Hei hadn't had many customers lately, so when Dustin entered the shop Hei was happy to see him. It was always nice to meet his guild mates, and he liked Dustin, so he greeted him with a friendly smile. As he had finished some crafting for Dustin he handed the item to him and thought that probably was it, but instead of leaving Dustin grabbed another order form and filled it in. Hei took the form and the col Dustin placed on his counter and when Dustin said he was sorry for making him work so much Hei just smiled and said "Don't worry man, its all right. I choose the job, so it's my own fault that I have to work. I'll message you once it's done"

  13. Hei had missed his last attack, but just slightly, as he had only been able to hit the Toads armour while jumping over it. While he had taken a moment to realize what had happened and to get back into the battle Stryder had just barely managed to evade another attack and landed a blow on the monster, but as his energy was drained it wasn't strong enough to kill it just now.
As the other team had killed of their mobs Arabelle came in to help end the fight, swinging her scythe multiple times she hit the monster and dropped the HP even lower while also kind of stunning it. Using the fact that it wasn't able to move Hei turned back to the fight, swung his trident around himself and landed a slashing hit with the tridents tip. The energy of this attack sent the massive body flying and before it crashed into the rock next to it it dissolved into pixels.
Immediately a pop up appeared in front of Hei and showed him the loot he was happy to accept. Then he turned to the others that had fought with him .  "Whuuu, it's finally over. How about we head back before more of these mobs spawn. Back at your place we can look at the loot we got. I managed to get some rare armour of this guy, and 4k col for the guild."

  14. After he had told them about the loot, he was able to see a kind of confused face on Jinx, but it went away after a second or two, and just after that she asked him, if 5000 col was good, and if they could help the guild a lot if they just continued fighting. Hei quickly nodded and answered "Yeah, 5 thousand is a good amount from one monster. I think I only ever got this much from a random field boss I had to kill, that nearly killed me back than. And it didn't even take us that long to kill it either, so we should be able to get a lot of col for the guild. But before we can continue we should rest, so our energy has a chance to recharge." With this said he turned to Dustin who was slowly and struggling getting back to his feet. Hei walked to his friend and reached out to him to help him back up.
"That wasn't to bad of a fight Dustin, you really landed some nice hits. But how about you take a seat and rest for a little time so you regain your power. I wouldn't want you to get into the next fight in this condition." he said and changed his shield with the sunrise looking cloak he wore as a kind of guild sigil. Then he pulled out three bottles of lemonade he had brought. One he handed to Dustin and one he offered to Jinx, while he accepted Dustin's offer to give his part to the guild too. It was really nice of Dustin, and as he himself had enough col for what he needed at the moment he decided that he would donate his cut just like Dustin did, but he wasn't going to tell them, as he didn't though they had to know.

The same time the monsters red eyes started glowing Hei heard his comrade tell him, that he now had the monsters attention, and that it was time for him to start attacking the monster. With his trident back in hand he started whistling, so Huatli would come to help him, but before the raptor could attack the fish, it charged towards Morgenstern, who just moved his sword a little bit to negate the attack. The fish that hadn't expected that simply stopped in front of its supposed prey and Hei got a chance for attacking it.
Huatli ran at the beast and started clawing at its hindlegs, and the moment one of the scales came loose Hei arrived at it, his trident glowing as he had charged a swordskill to use. He released it and started a series of attacks, that hit the leg multiple times, dealing some damage, but in comparison to the monsters HP bar it wasn't very much. - Danm, it has quite a lot of health, I hope Morgenstern can deal a lot of damage himself, or this fight will take all day. And what's with Kasier, she hasn't said a single word since we had arrived at the mountain, I wonder if she will help us in this fight - Hei thought while he moved away a little, just so he have a chance to react to what ever the king would do.

  17. Hei hadn't been in the shop for a few days, as he had been busy with mowing into his new house, but he left a note that one could message him, or just fill in one of the order forms and put it into the mailbox. When he arrived at the shop in the late morning and opened the mail box, he realized that no one had left anything for him, so he simply opened the shop and waited for customers.
Later that day there actually was a guy coming in, he looked somewhat like a cowboy and Hei wasn't to sure about him, but after looking around a little, the player took an order form, filled it in and transferred the right amount of col for a perfect item. Hei nodded and told him, that he would message him once the item was done and that it for sure would take at least the day.
So when no one else came the afternoon, Hei closed the shop and left for his house on the 22nd floor to work on the order in his nicely equipped sewing room. After the first material he wanted to use disintegrated after the first stitch. After this, he had just one material left, so he was super careful, and it was rewarded with a perfect item. With the item done he message @Clyde that he could get the item the next day from noon to 5pm, as the store wouldn't be open earlier.

  18. After the living armour nearly had been able to disarm him, so Hei had to grab for the trident before he was bale to continue the battle. Once he had regained his firm grip on the weapon, he followed the armour, that had just hit Jinx with some force, but the girl was still standing, and the armour she wore reduced the damage she took quite a lot.
After she had been hit, she continued to stand strong and focus the attacks on her, once again using her howl ability, so we wouldn't get hurt by the monster. After that, Dustin managed to follow the monster, but he was already panting and Hei could see, that he was getting tired already. Maybe it was another benefit of being of high level, that one didn't drain once energy so quickly. He still had nearly half of his energy, but Dustin must have been close to no energy left after this fight. He at least landed  a second hit at the monster just to sink to his knees afterwards.
Hei followed the Attack just the moment the Armour swung its axe at Jinx. The girl had raised her shield, so the damage wasn't that high once again, and the shields thorns hurt the mob, so Hei's series of slashing blows dropped its HP to zero and it exploded into pixels.

After they had faded away a popup appeared in front of Hei and he was albe to collect the loot, as he had been the one to land the final blow. With the buff he had gotten from the food he had been eating he got a good amount of col and some nice loot besides it. As they hadn't decided what to do with this loot, he turned to them and told them what he had gotten from the mob. "Hey, nicely done. We killed the first one and the loot is quite nice. We got ourself over five thousand col and a perfect T2 armour or shield, and some consumables, how will we deal with those? I would suggest we give them to Stryder for him to identify them, and decide who gets them afterwards, as we should look who can use them the best"

  19. After he had disarmed the monster he had hoped that his comrades would be able to take advantage from it, but Jinx stayed back and did what probably was a good decision by further taunting the armour with her howl ability. - I Can see how this will help us, so there is nothing lost with her not attacking. She probably wouldn't have done much damage either way, as most tanks don't level up their attacks - he thought when he saw Dustin moving forward and trying to use the fact that the mob was disarmed, but the monster was quick enough to sidestep his powerful attack and he just hit the ruins wall, which shortly showed the sign, telling him that it was an immortal object, before Dustin jumped back away from the armour.

With no one being able to hit the armour Hei got ready to do the beating himself, but before he was close enough to release a series of attacks against the mob, it reached it's battle axe, picked it up and turned against him. The heavy axe blade hit his spear, preventing it from hitting the armour and bringing Hei to a halt, as he nearly lost his weapon. With its opponent staggered like this, the armour turned around, and with a few steps it arrived at Jinx, swinging the heavy axe at her. The Axe collided with her shield, slamming the protection gear against Jinx and knocking her back a little. With it's arms close to Jinx for hitting her, it wasn't able to stop soon enough to not get hit by the thorns on her shield, so at least the mob got some damage.

  21. After Hei hadn't been able to craft anything that was of good enough quality for his buddy, he had to try it again the next day. After he had woken up early and cooked some nice breakfast for him and Saphira he walked down the big wooden stairs to have a look out of the huge windows. The sky blue lake in front of his house was a nice few and he knew he could always pause his work to take a stroll along the shore. With this in mind and the fun of being a good tailor he started working on the armour Dustin had ordered.
The first one he crafted wasn't that good, but just at the next attempt he was able to create sweatshirt that was sturdy enough to protect his pal against most weaker attacks, while still being soft enough not to hinder his movements. As the item was what he had hoped for he told Saphira that he had to go to the store for a few hours before he would return, and left the twenty second floor to bring the item to the first floor, where @Dustin would be able to pick it up.

  22. After Hei had finished his last orders, the players who had ordered them came to pay him a visit and get the items they had ordered. Both of them thanked him for the good work and went off again. Later that day Dustin dropped by and Hei greeted him as the friend he was. When he told him that he wanted to get some new armour Hei reminded him that it might be better to get it done in a better tier, as he was just a few levels away from reaching the minimum requirements for the better armour.
So after they decided that it should be tier two Hei left the shop and went back to his home, where he had used the comfort of his new sewing room to work on the armour, but non of the items he created were good enough for his guild mate, so he decided he had to work on it the next day.

  24. It had just been a day since Hei had gotten a new order and started working again. He had been able to finish the order quite quickly and so he was without work again, or so he thought, when he heard a ringign noise and opened the menu. He noticed that he had gotten a message from a player he had never met before, but he remembered seeing her, and that she was one of the frontliners.

As he read the message she had sent to him, he understood that she needed new equipment for the upcoming boss raid. He remembered that he had to craft a few items for the last boss raid, so he knew that she probably didn't have much time before the raid would start. He replied to her message, that he would take her order, and that he would accept payment in materials, so he could guaranty that the item would be done soon.

After that he started crafting and the first attempt to create an item that would be fitting for the frontlines he created a nice looking cloak that had everything it needed for it to be a good match for Zandra
