  1. "But I'm a smart idiot," she gave an amused smirk. "Like that's totally possible," she chuckled. I feel stupid now, a smart idiot? Idiot! She gave herself a mental face palm. She listened to Minato's statements to the games design. I guess the wanted players to be more.. comfortable? She sighed, feeling even dumber. "Yeah, but that doesn't mean you can enjoy yourself once in a while," she explained, hoping to convince him that this more than just a game, its more like a virtual paradise. "Sickening isn't a word I would use either. Maybe unusual or unique?" It was worth a shot.

She spaced out up until he asked her about her quest. Her eyes went wide. Oh yeah, I've been too busy blabbering and forgot about my quest! "Right!" she clapped her hands together. "I got this quest from an old lady where I can get this pet familiar thingie so can you please please help meee?" she said unusually fast and stretching out the last word.

  2. They were standing in a ridiculously large kitchen. All pots and pans seemed to have something boiling, frying or cooking in them. Wow.. everything looks so well made! She said, eyeing a few dishes on a nearby counter. "Everything here looks absolutely gorgeous," Spangie said to the NPCIf food looked this yummy in real life, everyday would be a good day. She sighed happily, spacing out on a plate that held a small omelette.

"Why thank you!" The NPC said happily, "Oh shoot, I haven't introduced myself yet. My name is Maggie Spatulin!" The woman gave a curt nod and held out her hand Spangie. What a polite NPC. Well I do guess they're all like this.

The blonde gave a warm smile, "Nice to meet you Maggie, my name is Spangie," she joyously took Maggie's hand and shook it gently.

"Why aren't you just the sweetest thing?" Maggie said grinning and went back to looking around her kitchen. "Say, we're high and dry out of materials. Tell you what, if you can get me five materials and help me make a crepe, I'll give it to you for free!" Maggie said, a toothy smile plastered on her face. Out of materials?

  3. "Hey! I mean I'm desperate. But still, hey!" she whined, her face forming into those of a pout. "I might've been idiotic but I still had the skills, right?" she said gleefully, nudging him with her elbow. Her energy was beyond the roof st this point so she started hopping/jumping/bouncing in one spot. I guess I did ask a random person out of the blue.. But they might be nice anyways! She told herself as he replied to her question. He didn't say anything about why he moved, eh. He'll bound to tell me eventually. She shrugged it off and smiled happily.

"I've been super good actually, I made it to this good college and found this game, oh! And I found you too!" she said, counting the fingers and pointing them at Shin. He must be the slightest bit happy he knows in real life, right? "I mean even though it's a death game, you got to admit it's pretty cool. I mean have you seen the sights?" she told him, her blue eyes radiating with amusement.

  4. Spangie stepped inside the shop. Woah, all the cloths look so cool here. She thought, happily looking at all the items and cloths that were displayed in the shop. "I wish I could make these, that'd be so cool," she muttered to herself ask she twirled around the shop. I've heard this place does custom orders, maybe I should ask the shop keeper for a form? She asked herself

She saw a man who she assumed was the shop keeper. "Hey excuse me. I was hoping if I could get a custom order or form.. thingie?" she sputtered out the words on the top of her head. Lightly tapping him on the shoulders, "Sorry for interrupting f whatever you're doing though," she added, giving a forced laugh.

    @Hei

  5. Spangie happily skipped along the forest path, a small but bright smile plastered on her face. Maybe I can finally find something? She said to herself as she hopped along. Or maybe I ca- Oof! In the middle of her thoughts, she clumsily tripped over a small root. "Ow!" was her immediate response. I need to change that soon. She sighed to herself and looked up from the ground. There stood a small plant, maybe a few inches but what really surprised her is the small berry perched on top of it. Her legs scooted closer to the plant, her eyes closely examining it. "I found one.." she whispered to herself. "I found one!" she plucked the berry right off the plant and held it high. "One down and four to go!"

After her pass of excitement, she placed the berry in her inventory and rose up from her position. Four to go, c'mon! You can do this. She said positively, giving herself a few wake up slaps. I can do this!

  6. 'Earning a Living' Quest :

Spangie entered the small restaurant, its lovely fragrence entering her nostrils immediately. "It smells wonderful," she sighed happily, stepping closer to a counter, where a middle aged woman stood, wiping the counter with a damp rag. "Ah! Hello. Are you the owner of this fine establishment?" Spangie asked sweetly. It certainly is a wonderful place, I don't think I've ever been in a place that smelled so good, real life or in game. I wonder what she cooks here. She thought to herself, spacing out for a few seconds before gaining her conscious and returning back to [ Virtual ] reality.

The woman stopped cleaning and looked up at her. "Well I sure am! How can I help you today? Lunch? Maybe a crepe or two?" She babbled on about different kinds of foods. The NPC stopped, looking at Spangie again. "Ah sorry! I ramble a lot."

"No, no it's okay. All that sounds good but I'd like for you to teach me how to be a cook?" she said eying a few customers who were eating happily at tables. It's so nice here. I want to open a restaurant like this! Bake some pretty cupcakes and cookies! She smiled sweetly to herself.

"Ah, I'd love to! Yeah, just come with me!" She said, taking your arms and basically dragging you to the kitchen. More smells of lovely food entered her nose again. Can it smell any better? It certainly smells like heaven! "Here we are!"

  7. Spangie gave a huff as she slowed down, bending down to catch her breath. It wasn't probability nothing right? She told herself, standing up straighter. She sighed and started walking again, trying to find more materials for her quest. Her feet stumbled upon a small fruit tree, by the looks of it, it was picked clean only a few hours ago. Seriously? Even this deep in the forest, people are still getting materials. She thought, gaming a groan of bitterness and hiked onward.

"At least let me find something.." she muttered, only to receive silence. I thought this quest was going to be easy.. she cried in her head. It does beat attacking creatures or monsters or whatever the heck lives in this game. She told herself, feeling slightly better. She stopped, pausing in,y to inhale a small bit of air. You can do this, no worries. She said, then exhaling. Clapping her hands togetherness and giving a bright smile. "Let's do this!"

  8. The only thing that she was hearing was her heavy footsteps and her heavy breathing. There's gotta be some materials here. She sighed. Finding a lush bush she walked slowly to it, hoping not to disturb anything around her. The bush was in fact stripped empty of any berries and it was likely someone was here before her. "Aw c'mon. I guess this is one of the only places you can gather," she muttered to herself and went back to gathering.

At this point, she wasn't just walking in random directions and didn't know where she was. Which way did I come from again? That way or that way.. Eh, I'll figure it out later. She shrugged to herself and kept on walking. The forest was indeed dark, and the only light source was the sunlight shining through the leaves. Making the forest seem eerie and quiet. Be brave, be brave, be brave. Spangie told herself. Be br- A loud crack of a stick interrupted her thoughts. "Eek!" she shrieked, running in a different direction.

  9. "He-" she was caught mid sentence when flicked her head. "Ow!" she said rubbing her head out of instinct. Oh right.. I can feel anything. she said to herself, lowering her hand. "What do you mean its me after all? You should've talked to me or something," she said, giving a playful punch on his shoulder. She listened intently to his remarks. Yes, I guess it has been some time since I've last seen him. She told herself bluntly as she locked her gaze into his eyes. His eyes were bored, so was the way he was talking. She had almost missed his question if it weren't for a hint of concern in his voice. "I-I mean, my parents got me this game when I got home so that I could get some inspiration from the maps and s-stuff, and I was getting a quest so I wanted someone to help me..." she trailed off near the end of her sentence, her voice becoming audible.

She shook her head and clapped her hands together, something she would do often. "I mean, how are you? You moved away without a word, some people were worried about you!" She grinned at him, only to receive a bored stare back. He certainly is the same boy who teased my artwork..

  10. Spangie warily entered the ballroom, her heels clicking softly on the salmon pink floor. This place is beautiful.. She felt like she almost stopped breathing because of the sight. Her pale yellow dress was nothing compared to the elegant designs of the other players seen around the room. And the players, she had to say she had never seen this many players gathered up in one place before. She fumbled with her black mask and silently strides to a small table that held platters of food and desserts. Everything here looks so perfect. Like something out of a fairy tale.. she breathed in the sight and the smell. "I've never seen something so beautiful.." she whispered to herself.

She stood silently, not knowing what she should be doing. So only a few moments after, she started to space out once again, this time gazing at the couples dancing. They look so happy. Too bad I don't have a date. She gave a wry chuckle to herself and held her hands tightly together.

If only I had my supplies. My sketchbook, my case.. she released a sad sigh. Knowing that she probably won't remember the sight when she reaches the real world again.

  11. Spangie let out an excited giggle and disbanded the pop up. "Thank you! I promise I'll get you those materials!" she said determinedly and sprinted out of the shop, heading for the forest near the town. I'm going to finish this quest! She told herself as she weaved through players and NPC's. Her body automatically moving now, she thought. Just five? That doesn't seem too hard. I'll be done with this quest in no time! She gave a happy sigh and went back to running. Now nearing the towns exit/entrance she slowed down, skidding into a halt as she gazed warily into the deep unknown.

"You can do this, you can do this, you can do this," she repeated to herself as she shut her eyes tightly. She hesitantly lifted a foot outwards, then another. And just like that, she was out of the town. "I did it? I did it!" she screamed happily into the air before sprinting once again to the forest. It feels good.. not to be stuck in that town anymore. To be wide out in the open. She gave a happy smile and continued running. The wind was blowing against her wavy locks and by the time she reached the forest, she was well out of breath. "Whooo! That felt good!" she said to herself as she cautiously entered the forest. Now to find those materials..

  12. The player nodded her head vigorously. "I'm willing to do whatever you give me!" She said loudly, confidence radiating form her. I'm going to finish this quest! She said in her head. Just then a small thought appeared in here mind, giving her a usual trip to day dream land. What if I have to fight something?! I mean it is called 'The First Few Lessons are Free'! Its a sword gam for crying out loud! I'm gonna have to fight stuff or monsters eventually! She thought, staring at the old wooden floors of the workshop. Suddenly her head snapped up to look into his dull gray gaze, her eyes going wide. "I wont have to fight anything right?!" She almost shrieked at the NPC.

Zackariah gave a low chuckle that seemed to shake the floor. "Haha.. you don't like violence do you? But don't worry, you won't fight anything," Spangie gave a sigh of relief. Thank god, I won't have to kill anything. And nothing will have to kill me.. hopefully. She added to the last part of her thoughts with a gulp. "I'll just need you to gather 5 Tier 1 materials and bring them back to me," he said, motioning to the multiple tools on his counter. "Then I'll teach ya how to craft something. Got it?" Spangie nodded her head which earned a chuckle from the craftsman. "Then get to it!"

A small notification appeared in front of her.

    You Have Accepted The

'The First Few Lessons are Free' Quest !

  13. The young woman stood there gaping at the old gypsy. "Wait? What? You can?!" To even basic players, this was no new news. Spangie however was intrigued to her fullest potential. Woah I want one! Imagine having around a creature with me everywhere I go! She could feel herself shaking with excitement. "Really? Wait, ho- I want.. uh.." she found herself at lost for words. The heat was nothing compared the the warm glow that was radiating from her. Maybe I can find something beautiful! Oh, how I would give to draw something right now! She shrieked in her head, even though knowing that it was never going to happen.

The gypsy gave a dull laugh at her reaction and leaned in to whispered once again. "You see, its a quest. It's called 'Feeding the Enemy'. You want it?" she asked in a hush voice.

Spangie nodded her  so fast that she had to stop herself from getting dizzy. "Yes!" she paused, giving an apologetic cough. "I mean. Yes, please," she gave a kindred smile.

"Its yours then," was the last thing the woman said before walking away. Only soon after a small pop up appeared in front of her.

    You Have Accepted The

    ' Feeding the Enemy ' Quest !

Spangie gave a high pitched 'Yes!' and pumped her fist into the air. She dismissed the notification and looked around. I'll definitely need help for this. She told herself as she looked around her area. Her eyes locking onto a certain male player with black hair who had just passed them earlier. She ran after him, waving her arm yelling. "Hey you there!" she came to a stop next to him and asked. "Hey there, I was just wondering if you..." her voice trailed off as she got a good look at his face. Then she shrieked. "Minato?!"

  14. Spangie skipped along the road of the town hoping to find the ideal shop she was looking for. Where is i- Oh I see it! She thought excitedly as she sprinted to the small workshop. Aw, isn't this a cute wittle workshop? She said in her mind as she pushed the door open. There stood an old man with long snowy hair, a beard matching it. Spangie looked around, he eyes locking onto several potions and potion making thingies along the way. The old man gave a grunt of approval at her happiness and spoke up. "Hey there young'un. The names Zackariah, how can I help you today?" he said gruffly.

At that moment, the blonde player clapped her hands together. "Ah, yes! I'm here because I've heard of this quest that you help players with?" she said, searching through her mind for the name of the quest. "I think its called 'The Many Dew Leaves are Trees?" she asked, immediately deadpanning at her stupidness. "N-no! Not that, Argh! I can remember!" she hissed with frustration, hitting her forehead with the palm of her hand. Why can't I remember? I'm such a clutz!

"Ah, no need to worry. Its called 'The First Few Lessons are Free'." Zackariah said with a hardy chuckle. "Sure, I'll give it to you. But will you accept it?"

  15. Spangie sat on the atone paved bench, taking in all the sights in front of her. If only I had my sketchbook.. she gave a sad sigh but gazed happily at the scenery. "Delilah is certainly beautiful isn't it," she said to herself. The sun was high above her head, and it shone radiantly, almost as if it was smiling down on her. Although this was her first time here, she had heard that floor three had held so many beautiful wonders so she just had to go see herself. She regretted nothing. If I could ever afford to buy a house, it would choose this place 100%! Who wouldn't want to live here? She said to herself in a joyous manner.

She hopped off the bench in an somewhat childish manner before rubbing her stomach hungrily. Darn, I haven't eaten in a while, are there any cafes or restaurants here? She asked herself looking around her area. Finding nothing but old wooden and stone houses that were covered in overgrowth and nature. Beautiful, but not what I'm looking for. She smiled to herself before skipping around and asking players or NPC's for help.

"Hm, you don't know? Thanks anyways!"

"Ohh. This is your first time here? Mine too!"

"There should be one around here? I'll keep that in mind!"

She was soon growing tired from the lack of information she was getting from the townsfolk. Seeing a blonde player on the street, she gave a shrug and bounced over to him. Tapping ever so lightly on his shoulder, she asked. "Hey, excuse me. But do you know of there's any shops around here?" She asked, giving one of her signature smiles.

    @Mint

  16. Spangie looked around Fortaleza warily, she could feel the artificial sun beat down on her face. How can the game creators make it so hot? This is pure torture! She exclaimed in her head, groaning with each step. After a few more minutes of walking lazily, she found a bench that looked part wood and part sandstone. "Oh thank god, I need to sit down," she muttered out loud and sat on the bench, a sigh of relief escaped her lips as she felt the bench support her exhausted body. Why am I even here again? She thought, a frown forming on her lips. Darnit, I forgot again. Stupid heat isn't letting me think straight. She face palmed herself, Stupid, stupid, stupid! She shook her head quickly, looking up. That's when she met the blank eyes of an old lady. "Wah! Who are you?!" she yelled, almost falling off the bench.

The old lady gave her a toothy grin. "Hello there young one!" the old woman said, her gray hairs sticking out from her bun. She's an NPC, Spangie sighed in relief. No one this old would be playing SAO. The old NPC was wearing multiple layers of clothing, all different colors and was as short as can be. Oh come on, you could've at least made her cloths more logical.

"Ah, hello there! You gave me quite a scare!" She forced a laugh and gave an automatic smile.

"Yeah, yeah. Now come closer," the NPC said. Spangie reluctantly swerved her head closer to the old gypsy. "Closer!" the woman said, making the blonde bring her face even closer. "Did you know, if you feed monsters, they can possibly be your ally?" the lady whispered, making Spangie's eyes go round.

    Profile :

    Username : Spangie

    Real Name : Kanaria Uta

    Age : 19

    Gender : Female

    Height : 5'4 ft.

    History / Personality :

Kanaria was born into a family between well off and middle class, in a small town in Japan, no siblings at all. Being surprisingly independent for an only child, her parents would often want to shower her with gifts and presents, though she would never accept them. Growing up, Kanaria had always had a passion for art, often doodling on everything from newspapers to worksheets and tests. The few times the child had actually accepted gifts from people who had given her art supplies, only filling her confidence in her skills even more, but not becoming cocky of it. Though in her small town, most residents there knew of her skill, though some were jealous, not even the slightest impressed her art. Soon after she rose to popularity, she would often getting bullied, teased, all other kinds of bullying. Sometimes even getting beaten, dramatically lowering her certainty in art. Even though never telling the truth to her parents about the bruises and gashes she would receive when he would come home, saying that she 'tripped' or fell'.

She was always a cheerful girl, trying to impress anyone she sees, never finding her work satisfying enough.

Her dedication soon led her to a prestigious college, Oxford University, England. At eighteen years old, she had set out on her journey in the real world. Though her townsmates will miss the cheery and independent young woman, a piece of her will alwyas echo in their hearts. Her music. Arriving at a new country had truly changed her, new wonders, new things to draw. She would often go to different places in England, trips that were funded by her college, ever few months she would go to a new city, a new place, a new world. She would take few visits to her family each year, each flight a little expensive and time consuming.

She always had school or art in her mind, that is until she found out about SAO. She would hear about it on and on around her campus, everywhere, 24/7. Students would talk about how 'unreal' and 'fantasizing' it is, wonderful beyond your wildest dreams. Virtual reality gaming, though she was never interested in gaming herself, she was only in for the scenery of the world.

For her summer break, Kanaria had returned him, only to be gifted with a wonderful surprise. Her parents had bought her a full set of Nervegear and SAO, her joy was impossible to say in words. Snatching up the equipment immediately, she barged into her room and set it up without any help, her parents watching with a sad smile behind the door.

After she had entered the hell game, she had sulked in beginner inns, constantly guilty of her crimes. She had never said a single hello to her parents after seeing them for a few months, not even muttering a small thank for the Nervegear and game. Though she had later joined in to help in the slightest wya possible to completion of the game, she's would every now then cry when she's alone, never foregetting the one time she had she had ever greedily taken something.

    Virtues :

Creative : After years of art, Kanaria has boatloads of creativity. She often imagines what her art is going to be like after she is done with it, which helps her predict situations and problems. She uses this to her advantage and thinks of ideas no normal person would even have the thought to create.

Quick Thinker : She often is quick when in situations and does a tremendous job. She reacts to problems almost immediately and finds a solution not too soon after. Though they might not always work, she has every drop of confidence that she'll find a way sooner or later.

Social : Attracting people with her art has let her develop social skills. Knowing how to be polite and friendly, Kanaria almost looks like shes always happy. This earned her many friends and acquaintances in the real world.

    Flaws :

Forgetful : Kanaria often forgets things very easily and this sometimes leads her to forgetting what is most important. Her mind will often go blank at random times and it takes a few minutes or even hours to remember what she was doing. This is why Kanaria doesn't do well with promises and favors.

Jumpy : She was always jump to the slights sounds, especially if it's in the dead of quiet. She mostly runs away from the sound, or hides in something that can cover her. This leads to people thinking that she's weak and timid.

Day Dreamer : Kanaria usually spaces out a lot in the middle of conversations. She will most likely stare at you or somewhere in the distance without saying anything for a while. She sometimes uses this to her advantage and thinks about solutions when she's in dream land.
