  1. As the fish's bladed snout rapidly approached the pair, Arsenal had planned to take the brunt of the attack, but before he could do anything Spencer had already bonked it up side the head before watching it flop to the floor and flail for a moment. Arsenal's spear started to glow, and his hands spun as he slammed the end into the pesky critter. That wouldn't be enough though, so he turned around and placed the shaft on his should and heaved the fish up. Backing up and bending over in one swift motion, Arsenal would use the Fish as a hammer on this nail of a boat.

    As it lay there motionless, Nick sits on the edge of the boat. His face falls into his hands and he lets out a sigh. It had been a long time since he had even spoken about his little cousin. "Sorry, had to take a breather." His smile would appear softer but less genuine as he looked at Spencer.

    "Now, I guess that gives us time for our first real date."

    Arsenal would pull the boat ashore with the rope tied to the nose, before coiling it around that same stump, and he would look towards Spencer and wave. "Grab the fish, I'll make sure this is good here I guess." Nicholas was always given the responsibility of securing the boat during family fishing trips, so by now he was pretty damn good at it.

  2. Nicholas pulled Spencer onto the boat and kicked his boot into the dirt as the old man untied the boat from the stump. Quickly, Nicholas would start pulling the rope in and coiling it on the floor of the boat, before grabbing the pole and switching to the flat end of the vessel. "My dad had quite a few siblings, who all bred like bunnies. I had so many cousins that it was never a dull moment. Aunt Shelly had 12 kids in 14 years, they were all little assholes." He would say. His voice almost sounded like an annoyed older brother. "I am the oldest of all my cousins, and as such had to teach all of them how to get away with doing stupid stuff, but Aunt Shelly never said a word to them when we got caught, and somehow I was catching the heat from both sets of parents every time." His hand would place itself tightly around the fishing rod, before he tossed the hook in and started waiting.

    "My two younger cousins actually joined SAO at the start. Dustin is cool, kind and funny. He was very quiet when my uncle passed, but he opened up once he stepped into Aincrad. My other cousin..." Nicholas would stare into the water as the bobber bounced up and down, but no harsh pulls had occurred. "He wasn't so lucky..."

    Suddenly a sharp yank almost ripped Arsenal out of the boat, as he leapt to his feet and planted them on the walls of the ship, he ripped his arms back and started reeling the sucker in. "I got him. Get ready to finish this sucker off."

  3. The body of water drew nearer as Spencer asked his question, making Nicholas stop. "Born and raised in Japan, but my dad and my uncle are from the US. Kentucky actually." He would give his kind date a gentle smile as he reminisced. "It was this nice little town right off the river where Grandpa Max had this beautiful farm. Sometimes my cousins and I would go out and fish at three in the morning and swipe some of grandpa's alcohol on the way out. Never got in trouble but I doubt we actually got away with it." He would say, looking at the water before the pair as if he missed those days.

    Soon they were close enough that the old man would notice them, and bring his boat ashore to talk to the two. "Why hello, what's a fine pair of gentlemen come out all this way for? That Hannah lass send you out here from over yonder?" He would ask, tying the boat to a small stump a short walk from the boat. Arsenal would materialize the fishing rod for the old man who would inspect it carefully before giving them a gap-toothed smile. "That there's a fine cane pole, I tell you what. Hannah always been a nice girl that she has. Anyhow, you two seem like mighty capable fellers to pull that big ol' bastard in, would you mind helping an old man out? I done rastled him this morn and he ain't come near settled since."

    "I'd be glad to help sir, you don't worry about this fish anymore, Spencer and I'll get it." The man volunteers, stepping onto the boat and extending a hand to help Spencer climb aboard.

  4. Nicholas was getting into deep water here with these quests while simultaneously trying to figure out how to work in the perfect date. Dustin would know what to do right about now he went on more than his fair share of dates, never actually landing a second though. Still, first date suggestions were better than winging it. He would discreetly open his menu and shoot his cousin a message while walking with Spencer, in hopes of getting an answer about where he could take the man. No reply, Guess he's busy. He would smile as he turns back towards Spencer. He had pointed them along the way and Arsenal was pretty sure he owed the guy a great date.

    They had made their way pretty far out into the boonies before Arsenal broke the awkward silence. "So you like mountainous regions? You from that kind of environment irl... crap, irl questions are rude." He would apologize, rubbing the back of his head in a very disarming manner. "Sorry, didn't mean to ask something so personal." A soft smile is offered as a formal apology to the humble guide Nicholas had grown to like.

    @Spencer

  5. Nicholas was really anxious until Spencer pulled him away. Then he noticed that Spencer was really distracted by the player nearby. Who the hell is he? Why is Spencer so distracted by another player? Is he like, an idol or something. He can't quite figure out who it is, and he almost never forgets a face. Guess I've never heard of him. "Sounds like a plan sweetie. So, who do you want to go spend time with?" He asks, looking around for people he could introduce himself to. Oh sh*t, is that Dustin? He hides behind Spencer. "Don't make direct eye contact, That'll get his attention." He can't help but not want to stress Spencer out with Dustin. They're gonna have to meet eventually, but Dustin literally comes on stronger than parents. Especially my parents. Kadin's death didn't help either. He sort of spins Spencer around to make extra sure He didn't lock eyes with Dustin and swiftly pulls him in for a long kiss. This should keep him distracted enough to make sure he doesn't accidentally meet Dustin. Which, I love Dustin to death, but damn is he intense. He pulls back and smiles, completely forgetting why he had just pulled Spencer in for such a kiss.

    @Spencer

  6. More people start to show up around The man and his boyfriend. You can handle this, it's not like They want to mess with you. Okay. You can do this. He appears to be more nervous with every person. Then a player mentions him, asking for his name. Oh god. Oh no. This isn't good. The man's eyes dart around, landing on the kids playing around the snow fort. "Yeah, Nice to meet you." He smiles with a tilt of his head, still nervous. What do I do? I can't just run, then I won't get to spend time with Spencer. And of course I can't ask him to leave. And Oh God... If Dustin shows up I am screwed. He shakes his head. "Hey, wanna go look to see if they have drinks?" He asks Spencer. "Actually, If you want to talk to your friends, I'm sure I could manage to find them on my own." He backs away, forgetting he was still holding Spencer's. The tug brought him back to his senses and all the sudden a crowd appeared in front of him like they weren't there before. Oh shoot, what am I doing? Crowd bad. Spencer good. He backs up and stands next to Spencer. "So Miss, What's your name?" He asks politely. "Or am I just gonna call you miss the entire time?" He smiles.

    @Spencer @Hestia

  7. Nicholas makes his way to the fourth floor.  Another chance to spend time with Spencer? Hell yeah. Of course I will. He begins to run, keeping his footing in mind as he darts across the town. He reaches a tree. Oh shoot, it’s a big event? He begins to appear nervous and backs looks around for a way to sneak away. That’s when he sees the face that makes everyone else disappear. He smiles keeping his eyes on the player with a penguin. I’m assuming that’s him. Suddenly the crowd seemed empty like it was just him and the other player, as he cuts through the crowd. “Spencer.” he moves in and kisses the player gently, but passionately in the middle of the fair. “I’m so glad you invited me, but I’m hungry, you got any snacks?” He smiles at the man, while pulling him in for a hug. “I’m kidding. I’m seriously glad you thought of me when you saw this. Though, I should probably warn you, big parties aren’t really my style.” He says, waving his hand over the general area of the fair in front of them. “I’m sure you’ll meet my cousin while here though, he’s shorter than us, but he makes me look like a prick.” He smiles, looking around for his younger cousin to introduce to his first ever boyfriend.

    @Spencer

  8. Arsenal twirls his spear once more, the tip glowing red again as well. You can do this Nicholas. Remember what you learned. Keep your eyes on the target, use every attack to set up the next, and keep your legs moving with the flow. He steps forward, leaning in and swinging his arm around. "I've got this." The heavy end of his spear launches up in a blur, bringing the blade on the opposite end up at incredible speeds, but narrowly missing the enemy. I guess Dustin has the right idea, he's done the most damage... Dustin gets thrown across the field, tumbling like a ragdoll. I guess not. He spins his spear up and slams it into the ground, blocking the attack from the wolf he was fighting. "Who has the better tactic? Cause it appears I'm still standing." He smiles at his younger cousin.

  9. I guess we should get going. Arsenal nods to the lady as he walks out of the shop, now wearing the necklace he had accepted as his own. "Any day with you is destined to be a great day. It's common sense." He pulls out a cigar and puts it in his mouth, taking a few puffs then releasing the smoke. "So where is this fisher guy anyways? I didn't even know there were docks on this floor to be entirely honest." Nicholas chuckles sheepishly. "I didn't really leave the town too much, trying to hide while out in the field is just a hassle." He smiles, scratching the back of his head. I don't know where to go with this. I've only known him for one day, and he's my first ever boyfriend. Plus, we haven't even been on our first date, which will also be awkward. We've already shot through all of the first date stumbling, feeling out your partner and learning about them. But we can't just skip the first date, it doesn't work like that. He looks down and begins to fidget with his necklace. What can I do? I guess I just like to take things faster than most.

    @Spencer

  10. Arsenal shakes his head as this was one of the things he remembered about fighting the kids in the town. "Why are you always rushing in? Take some time and wait to attack until you're ready." He spins his spear as it begins to glow red as he flips the heavy side up, slashing at a wolf and narrowly missing. I stand corrected, but I can't let him know I missed. Stupid wolf, this is why I prefer cats. His spear flips back as he remains focused on the wolf in front of him. The feral dog rushes at the man as he spins to the side and drops his upper body, allowing the wolf to soar over him as he stands at the ready once more. Guess I'm a little rusty, but I've still got my reflexes to rely on. He spins his hammer up and smiles. "This is just like the old days, right Dustin?"

  11. Arsenal turns and watches Noot struggle to reach Spencer's shoulder. "I have no issue with the little feller bein' around." He pats Noot on the head gently and gets back to walking. "I plan on getting my own familiar one day, but I haven't decided what I want." His eyes fall to the ground as he gets lost in thought. It'd be so frickin cool if I could get like a dragon, but like, it's made of lightning. But I also want a kitten... Its name would be like Kat or something on the nose like that. He walks, making his way through the town as he reaches the girl named Hannah. "We got the jewel. Now, can me and my boyfriend go on our date?" He asks, forgetting that the NPCs have a set number of responses. "Thank you for grabbing that, I must get back to crafting." She slides a box with a ring and a necklace in it. The ring could be useful, but the necklace is pretty great too... His hand moves down as he picks up a necklace and puts it on. "How does this look?" He asks with a smile.

    @Spencer

  12. Arsenal was making his way through the town on the fourth floor when he saw a merry band of idiots gather around eachother. This is gonna be problematic, but not for me. He turns to walk away when he hears a voice he recognizes. It's only slight at first but then it roars through the air. "Yeah, that's Dustin..." He equips his spear, knowing he was at least a little more intimidating than his shorter cousin. His spear stands high above the ground, as he drops it down making sure not to hit anyone. "Now would you please leave my cousin alone before I let him break you all." He says, making sure neither side could reach the other. "Fighting crowds of bullies tends to be our specialty." He says, a straight face pointed at the scruffy man.

    "Geez man, they were only jokes, we didn't mean anything by them." The man with the maximum allowed scruff factor says, backtracking on his statements before. The crowd disperses and Nicholas approaches Dustin with a smile. "So you're here to hunt? What a coincidence? I'm in need of col." He smiles. I need it for a house, I wonder why he needs it. He moves his spear back and puts it in his inventory.

    @Dustin

  13. Arsenal chuckles as Spencer wraps his arms around him and kisses him on the cheek. "Yeah, it keeps my warm, but walking like this would be difficult. But I do love a challenge." He struggles to move forward, without breaking the man's grip. I could easily get out of this, but this is kind of nice, I've got it. He pulls his cigar out of his mouth and drops it on the ground, stepping on it to put out the small embers on the end, thus making it explode into pixels. His years of fighting training finally comes in handy as he slides one arm down, levering the player's grip loose enough for him to spin around so they are face to face. "That was nice and all, but I'd prefer you held me like this." He gives a cocky grin to Spencer and steals a kiss. Finally, I can use my grapple defense techniques without throwing somebody. That's fun at first, but after about a year or two it gets boring. He breaks free from Spencer's grip and begins to walk away once more. "That was fun, but the longer we stand around, the longer we have to wait for the date." He says back to the man, keeping his pace from before.

    @Spencer

  14. "Aww man... I got my hopes up and everything. Though fishing can be fun." He says, trying to look for the up side of things. His eyes fall to the ground. All of it is fun with you around. He smiles and keeps walking. "What kind of ring do you think she'll make?" He asks, tilting his head and looking down at the jewel and staring into the blob that kind of resembles him. This is a high quality gem, I bet it'll make a beautiful ring. I'm not a jeweler or anything, but it is a beautiful stone. He takes his first few steps into town and smiles at the player who claimed the title of Arsenal's first boyfriend. "So, do you know any good restaurants on the fourth floor? I've never been out of the town of beginnings other than these last few hours." He smiles innocently at the boy, pulling out a cigar and lighting it. I used to only smoke these when I was having fun, I guess nothing has changed. He smiles with a little smoke pouring out from behind his teeth. "Besides, the fourth floor is the cold one, and while every moment with you is absolutely stellar, wandering around in snow and ice with nothing but a thin jacket is less than awesome." He smiles at Spencer.

    @Spencer

  15. Arsenal smiles yet again as Spencer bumps into him. He's so cute. Arsenal drops down low, so he was no longer behind the clumsy tank he had eyes for. "Let's hope you're right." His voice calls from absolute darkness as he stabs his spear through the monster. The health bar appears, slowly dropping down the last few bits of the monster's HP. The regular sound of a monster dying rings out and Arsenal chuckles. "That was much easier than I thought it would be. I guess we make a pretty decent team." He gives the other man a big foolish grin as if he could see it. He walks in the direction of the light and reaches the open air once again, turning and giving Spencer a cocky grin. "Now we just return this and we get to go on our hot date." It's gonna be amazing, I'll have to message the restaurant owner to set it up, and it might cost me a LOT of col. I'm sure it'll be worth it. He begins to cut through the woods, making his way back to the edge of town. "Not much longer." He steps into the city he had hidden in for those 2 years.

  16. Arsenal chuckles as Spencer reaches out and touches his chest. "Nah, actually, you're not the only person to do that." He smiles. His smile quickly turns to a much more serious glare as he spins around and stares off into the black of the cave. "You'd think with all the fantasy elements in this game, you'd be able to find a decent torch." He flips his spear up and and points it in the direction of the sounds. This cave has an echo, so I'm assuming it's not gonna be exactly where I'm pointing, but that's good enough for me. He launches his spear, releasing a large red glow as he spins, moving his spear through the air like a bo staff from when he took those Aikido classes as a young boy. I may be a little rusty, but I'm sure the game will help me keep this going. He finally spots the monster and goes to transition from spinning to attacking, but his hand spins a little too much as the shaft of the spear slips right through hit fingers. The weapon begins to fall, but Arsenal manages to swoop down just in time to catch it.

  17. Arsenal smiles at the man who he could now call his boyfriend. Weird, I have a boyfriend now. I guess I have something to fight for. The end of his spear points into the darkness as the player moves forward. Gotta be careful, don't want any frickin monsters getting me while I try to get that crystal. The man enters the dark cave, instantly being separated from his partner. "Spencer." He says, making sure he hadn't already lost his first boyfriend. Well crap. I'll go for the jewel and then try to find him. He moves through the darkness as quietly as he can, fumbling around, reaching out and waving his arms for any sign of the jewel. His hands hit a wall. Is this it? Is this where I need to be? He reaches down, picking up a rock and dropping it. Damn, just a normal rock. He reaches down and picks up a jewel. This just has to be it. "Spencer, I think I got it." He shouts, as his eyes finally adjust enough to see movement in the distance.

    He holds his spear out, almost halving the distance between him whatever was in front of him. Maybe if I just... He activates his sword art and his spear begins to glow red, Just enough to see the slight features of Spencer. "Oh thank god. I thought you disappeared or something." He runs over and pulls the player in for a hug, his spear still glowing red so he slams it into a wall. An immortal object symbol shows up as he holds the player in a tight hug.

  18. Arsenal smiles as he feels the player grab his hand. No way is this actually happening. Are we doing this? Are we gonna rush through these quests for a date 1.2? He walks, pulling out a bottle he had gotten from Lyle a few minutes ago. "Wonder what this does." He pulls it up and takes a swig. Nothing changes feeling wise, but he does know something changed. Okay, so we're going to a cave and grabbing the rock and getting out? Sounds like a plan. He tries to keep his balance as he walks behind Spencer, having never been pulled like this before. "No worries Spencer, I'm sure everything will be fine. Not perfect, because life likes to throw screwballs, but I'm sure we'll be fine." He smiles, following the man who had already dragged him so far. "We might as well get ready, no sense in waiting until we get there." He draws his spear and smiles, holding the Mid-ranged weapon in one hand and the player's hand in his other. "Even though you're my tank, I won't let you get hurt." He says, holding their hands up. "This fight, while not dangerous for you, is incredibly dangerous for me. So I won't get hurt, I've decided." He looks into the other players eyes. "Will you be my boyfriend?" He says like a child on the playground in a joking manner to take the edge off of the stress, but actually waiting for the man's answer as if his life depends on it.

  19. Nicholas nods at the statement. "As I told you, I'm not in it for the gems or anything. I'm in it for the col." He says, walking closely behind the man with black hair as they cut through the woods. Arsenal doesn't make a noise other than the slight singe of a cigar or the slight wheeze in his breath as he releases smoke. So I managed to convince mister moody here. Okay, so that means I'm getting better at talking to people. Though it was probably one of those, "if I agree, will you shut up?" things. Rambling on does have its perks I must say. The man puts his cigar out, as it bursts into blur polygons that fill the air. So we're hunting an emerald Dragon. That's cool. I've never really been a fan of Dragons, but they're okay I guess. His spear is then fixed on his back as they walk so he had his hands free in case he needed to climb away or maybe even the other player down to get out of there. Damnit Nicholas, now you're starting to sound like Kan. He slides his hands back and puts them in his pockets as he walks. The silence is nice, but I wish Spencer was here. He stares at the ground.

    @Oikawa

  20. The man walks, when suddenly a hand grabs his shoulder. Oh crap, I guess I was wrong. He nods, walking the direction in which the other player pointed him. "You know what I said about not needing directions was a joke, you can take the lead if you want." He says kind of sheepishly. "Besides, how am I gonna watch such a rockin bod walk if you're behind me." He chuckles, continuing to walk through the streets, his hands also still fidgeting with the ring. I bet this thing is expensive. I don't know what kind of rates gold goes for in a world where blades can be made of diamonds, but it's not the material that counts when talking about rings. He stares at it, no smile on his face or anything. His body was a rock and just as hard to read. He almost looks entranced by the circle of gold he spun around his thumb. Might as well stop playing with it, I'm far too distracted by it considering it's just a ring. It doesn't even have enhancements yet, so why am I so encapsulated by it? He drops his hand and looks up just in time to walk right into a woman who looked to be who they were supposed to deliver the ring to. "Oh, I'm sorry." He says, realizing he had just bumped into and apologized to an NPC.

    @Spencer

  21. Arsenal in his jacket and all it's glory, walks out of the shop with a smile of anticipation on his face. "Didn't you say we were gonna fight something in this quest? Cause if so I'm ready to kick some butt." He looks down at the golden ring in his hand and smiles. Heh, I had always planned to buy one of these. Just never found the right person. His hands fiddle with it, as he looks back at Spencer. "So, I forgot to ask where the lady is... do you happen to remember? I really don't want to talk to that NPC again." He explains, turning and walking off towards the center of town. "I can't have you lead the way actually, you'd stop and ask for directions." He puffs out his chest and hammers his fist into it. "I'm a manly man, I don't need directions." He exclaims jokingly. I've had more fun with Spencer than anyone else in this world. I'm so glad he's going adventuring with me. Besides, maybe one day I'll buy one of these for him, who knows? His face turns a bright red as that thought enters his mind. Woah, did I really just think that about someone I just met? That's like incredibly clingy. What the hell Nicholas? You're better than that.

    @Spencer

  22. Arsenal smiles as the man approaches and calls him annoying in a cute way. "I try." He grins, accepting the kiss on the cheek as he steps in the shop and looks at Lyle. "Excuse me sir, I have the tusks you asked for." He says, sliding the materials across the counter almost discretely. "Why thank you young man, you may take a weapon in return, they're on that back wall." He points across the messy yet organized shop towards a rack of pretty standard looking weapons, but a piece of light armor sticks out among the other items. "What about that jacket? It looks pretty interesting." He says, walking up and equipping it, looking at his partner and smiling. "What d'ya think?" He poses, trying to make himself look good in the black jacket with leather padding. "Sure, you can have that. Hey, quick favor though. Would you kindly take this box of materials to Hannah the Artisan?" His wrinkly old hands set the box of miscellaneous junk on the counter as Arsenal picks it up. "I guess it's a decent jacket." He smiles, exhausted from all the questing that day.

  23. “YES!” He shouts, pulling his fist down and smiling as if he was young and his mom agreed to let him eat ice cream for dinner. “And I know how it feels to need to catch up with someone. My little cousin is trapped in here and he’s level 16 so I have to catch up with him.” He smiles. “Chances are I’ll catch up with him before you catch up with Hestia.” He chuckles, taking another bite from his ice cream. He scoops up the last bite and smiles. “Lyles’s waiting, we should get going. Come on, not much longer before our first date.” He tilts his head and gives his crush a puzzled look. “Second date? Second first date?” He pulls the boy in for a quick kiss and walks out of the door. “Race ya.” The boy takes off running towards the shop as he races between the buildings. He had spent the last two years in this city so he knew all the shortcuts and ins and outs. But being faster than a man who likes to hide from the world is rather easy.

    @Spencer

  24. Nicholas puts his spare cigar away and smiles. “Free will? I can respect that. And I don’t expect you to help me. Hell, I’m not sure you aren’t gonna kill me when I turn to walk away, but I am sure of one thing. Even if you were to attack me, I’m not Gonna be able to stop you, so there’s no point in being scared. You either let me live or you don’t and that’s where restraint comes in. Do you have the restraint to not kill a man who’s just trying to get the col for a house to share with the player of my dreams.” He grins, as he draws his spear. “Besides, I bet your curious about what I want help with. Even if you’re not, I have to tell you, I’m fighting a dragon.” He says, drawing his spear with a cocky grin on his face. It wasn’t like he was gonna attack, but he was getting ready as the butt of his spear hits the ground and the crude point directed skyward. “The name’s Arsenal.” He flips his spear and rests it across his shoulders, with his arms dangling from either end. “So am I dying or not? Cause if I am then I’m gonna have to clear my schedule.” He says, turning and beginning to walk away. “Sometimes you just gotta help a fellow prisoner out, even if you hate their guts.” The usually super reserved man turns and tilts his head.
