  1. Miaki saw the moral of Ryu was starting to falter. It would seem that the mental trauma of Repentance was starting to get at him and as a result Rosalia was starting to go into a berserker mode, blindly rushing the stone being. "Don't lose it you two. Ryu! Back on your feet! Nobody is dying today except for this thing!" Miaki followed up behind the the spear user and swung upwardly at the stone monster.

    Battle result: Hit! 6 DMG!

The silver katana sliced right through the statue's torso bringing out a blood curling screech from it.

    Ryujin: 24/31 - 1 bleed damage

    Rosalia: 9/9

    Miaki: 57/57

    Saix: 19/19

    Repentance: 26/80

  2. With Hikari wearing her boots again Miaki pointed ooff towards the water in victorious mannor. "And now it's time for adventure! Forward unto dawn Elyth! There is treasure to be found!" He said with the excitement in his voice. An aura of thirst for adventure was animating off of him. The was treasure to be found and he could smell it practically. Miaki didn't get excited about things like this but today felt like a good day.

  3. Finding himself mounted on the giraffe-esc Elyth was something Miaki didn't anticipate but secretly wanted to do for reasons that he couldn't quite explain without coming off as odd. Simply put, you see a fancy mode of transportation and you suddenly want to ride it. He'd never say that out loud though. Not right now atleast. As Elyth seemed to be listening to Hikari's requests Miaki looked out into the water. He wondered how well ELyth would be able to swim in this state. "Uhh could you possibly take us out into the water? I wanna see if we can spot anything beneath the surface... It was an odd request but at the moment Elyth seemed to be accepting her current state.

  4. Miaki stood there as Elyth in this strange form drew into the sand once again. He read the message and didn't even consider how hard it would be to write with your mouth. He had so many questions but he couldn't allow himself to overwhelm her. "I didn't think about that. Ummm stomp once with your right... hoof? If there is something we can do to help you." He thought of this simple 2- questions game might help with communicating. He could only imagine how Hikari was taking this odd situation.

  5. The creature who was apparently Elyth wrote into the ground once again this time saying "the shogun". What was that suppose to mean? Did someone called the shogun do this? Was she the shogun". None of this was making any sense. To him. If only he could communicate with creatures. But he lacked the ability to do so. Seeing Hikari confused made introductions a little difficult but he tried anyway.

"Uhhh yeah, Hikari this is.... Elyth... Though what happened to her still confuses me. She is supposed to be... Uhhh human."

  6. Miaki walked over and saw that it was the young Hikari. A player he only recently met. She was someone who stood out and looking to make a name for herself in Aincrad. The character of her own story. In Aincrad it seemed like every day was something interesting which begged the presence of the yellow creature before him. As he came closer a yellow creature resembling a giraffe came out of nowhere and entrapped Hikari on the beach. The movement of the creature told him it wasn't a mod but it wasn't your normal non-combatative mob. Miaki saw the words on the ground and read them.

    HI I AM ELYTH

"Wait, wha.... WHAT!?" This creature was his friend Lady Elyth? He round about so she could see him. "Elyth? What happened?... What are you?" He said with confusion.

  7. It was a hot and humid afternoon on the third floor. So hot that it sent most players running to a floor with cooler temperatures. This just meant there would be less players around the floor. Miaki needed a break from the meetings and political chit chat of guilds. Today he would check out a lagoon in the search of sunken treasure. Could such a thing exist? Sure! Why wouldn't it? He needed some materials to give to an artisan in order to make some sweet items anyway. So Miaki found himself near an area called <>. An enclosed area that was a rough hike to get to and only used by those willing to go out of their way to find stuff there.

Breaking through some trees, the <> found himself on a small cliffside which overlooking the crystal clear deep blue waters of <>. There wasn't a breeze flowing through the area which made the water seem more inviting to escape the heat. Miaki was wearing his signature attire of someone out of an old noir film, that being his brown trench coat and fedora which covered his strawberry-blonde hair. Underneath his cloak was his katana which had been a prime weapon for battle so far. His silver winged falcon was around somewhere weaving between the trees perhaps or circling far overhead. Miaki knew <> would come out when he was needed.

Maiki began to make his way towards a shade place to determine where best he would start his dive. He then noticed the sunlight shimmer off the silver hair of someone in the direction he was circling towards. Someone else was here.

  8. The minotaur Miaki was facing was a bold as it was strong. With a loud roar the 2 meter monster clenched it's left fist and punched with a haymaker at Miaki. Not having enough time to evade the swordsman raised his blade to intercept the attack and reduce the damage taken by the punch. The large fist made contact with him and launched Miaki flying back hitting one of the railing posts that kept players from falling to their doom in the monster infested waters below. 'That one is gonna leave a bit of a mark.' He though to himself as he picked himself up. "I've encountered two of these once before with a friend of mine. Course at the time we didn't have the levels to face them and simply ran from them. But I've never seen one on this floor." He said to the girl close by.

The minotaur lurched forward and swung downward but Miaki jumped forward into and thrust his blade deep into the torso of the monstrosity. It began to lean forward into the blade bringing itself all the way to the hilt groaning in a weak tone. Miaki couldn't see the health bar which floated over the beast but assumed it was nearing zero as he twisted the blade in the gut of the beast.

  9. It's an idea... Kinda like a double edged spear, could be an extra skill instead like katana. You get level 3 on spear use and get this quest unlocked or something. I'm more interested in canon ideas but I'm also open minded about this so I'll stand on this fence like a pro.

How would the <> act in the quest? HP amount? Base DMG output? DMG soak parameters? What ranks would this sucker have if any in armor? Make this information in a nice neat list for quick reference if you please.

  10. Miaki had received a message from his friend Shanok about a new weapon being finished. A powerful spear that he intended on presenting to Nikki the moment opportunity presented itself. Dropping what he was doing as soon as he heard from the smith, Miaki dawned his winter cloak and teleported right to the fourth floor. He walked quickly, nearly jogging to <> excited to see the new weapon. When he arrived he saw that his friend wasn't around but that the spear in question was stored away in a case that could only be opened by Brigade officers. He opened up the case and picked up the spear to examine. It was incredibly long well designed. Miaki spun it around clumsily a few times before storing it away and left payment for his friend with a note giving his thanks for the work.

  11. Everyone hauled out of the inn and bundled up for the weather. Miaki himself was wearing his olive green winter cloak over his trench coat. It didnt make things easy for him if he had to quickly draw his weapon but with his present party he was in the company of this seemed like it would be no problem at all. Miaki kept close to Nikki and noticed Yunah keeping close to both of them. He could only imagine how Yunah felt being the shy one and feeling out of place amongst everyone else. He was very glad to have her with them and saw the potential within her to be a very strong player in this world. What better way for her to learn than with a group of veterans.

(OOC: Haven't heard from Zauis. If he doesn't post by the time the boss is encountered then we can consider him having left.)

  12. With the <> finally defeated nothing was standing between Miaki and advancing further. He stretched his arms and torso before sheathing his blade. The combat music he once heard faded away and was replaced with the track he heard before. The room which he called the second floor was rather plain like the one before it. Miaki, realizing how large the tree was, didnt waiting around and began jogging towards the next ladder leading up to the next floor. He knew full well that if he took too long he'd either have to leave the dungeon and start over again or rest in some safe zone within. Grasping the side of the ladder he rushed up it like a man on a mission.

  13. Miaki Murakami was traversing around the first floor of Aincrad taking in all it had to offer. The large buildings, the statues, fountains, and spledor of it all. It was only recently that he had gotten used to his predicament of being trapped in Sword Art Online. It had been a month and the 10,000 players were still stuck on floor one. Something about not being able to find the boss room. Miaki wasn't of much use to others in regards to combat yet. He only barely knew how to use the battle system to defend himself and take on small mobs.

Still wearing basic starter garments with a curved blade strapped to his back, the

Strawberry-blonde player adjusted his glasses and looked for something to eat. What he wanted was something sweet. From a bakery perhaps. He liked he new idea and entered one shop that was just off from the Main Street. He paid the baker with some of the Col he had and walked out with a brown paper bag hat held within a large, plump loaf of bread.

  14. Hard mode you could say is that little option that says "Im all in and taking this seriously. 'Kill my character' if/when I die." This tells GMs and Admin to lock your account if your character dies off in an RP. If you leave this as off you will still be able to use your account but for other things. I know some players on here who, like myself, have this set to on. Cause that is how we roll. This in no way makes RPs more difficult.

  15. I personally dont know a single player who makes such signature pics for players but I know several players who made their own. But if you have questions of any sort then look no further than you player support team. Myself, Shanok, Keith, Zauis, and future team member Ruri are always glad to help out.

The first thing I'd do is go into settings/controls and add your journal as a link for quick reference.

  16. Miaki leaned against the corner of the bench and thought back to when he got his silver winged falcon <>. It was during a visit to the hot desert fifth floor. He somehow triggered the random event and with the aid of two of his friends he manged to acquire his falcon who has been helpful on many expeditions. "Well I'm not exactly sure how the random event is triggered but you encounter an old gypsy or something who gives you food that you are to feed to the creature you friend. Nikki and I had to subdue her familiar, Titan."

  17. Miaki smiled a little knowing that Clarence was hinting to Miaki's relationship with Nikki Styx. The 8th floor boss had been defeated which opened up the 9th floor for scouting for the next boss room and Miaki had his date with Nikki. It was no secret that they were feeling strongly towards each other. Especially after what happened at the end of the boss raid. The next day he and Nikki had a pleasant evening dinner together in a private resurant on the 8th floor. That night Miaki proposed to Nikki and she said yes. Now the two were living together in an inn here on the 4th floor. Amazing how much could happen in only a few days.

"Pretty great Clarence." Not hiding the fact of his blissful time recently. "So you're thinking about a penguin huh? Well this floor is as good as any. Finding one might be hard though." He told his friend. Not a single time could Miaki think about ever hearing about seeing a penguin anywhere or anything of the sort. "Really difficult to find actually."

  18. Almost there Miaki told himself then he would press on and climb this dungeon with a determined goal in mind. He would reach the top. Today. But first he had to dispose of the infestation in front of him. Watching how the spider swayed around, Miaki held his weapon behind him, much like how a baseball player would hold a bat.

    Battle Result: Hit! 6 DMG!

As the <> swung back for another hit, Miaki slashed forward with vigor and cut right through the spider's underbelly.

    Miaki: 47/67

    Giant Spider : 0/15 - DEFEATED

  19. Hanging from a single thick strand of webbing, the <> spun around and struck Miaki knocking him back just barely missing a hole that lead to the main floor of the tree. Looking at the hole with wide eyes he rolled away then jumped to his feet with his katana ready. Holding his ground he waited for an opening to strike the underbelly.

    Battle Result: Hit! 6 DMG!

As he cursed at the oversized arachnid, his katana, <> cut through the beast with a ferocity.

    Miaki: 49/67

    Giant Spider : 3/15

  20. This is also a rather poor timing to have pitched something new entirely. We are currently in the middle of a transition over to the new skill system which has been in development for more than the entire summer (Atleast since May). It took alot of testing, reviewing, blood, sweat, and tears (and a whole lot of complaining from the community I might add; myself especially). This system has been mapped out to even out the playing field and give players within the mid levels (12-20) the ability to compete and stand with the high levels (Keith, Haine, Ruri, Miaki, and Cicila). Specifically the classes of DPS and Tanks. From what I have heard and seen our new skill system was made with these two classes in mind. I dont even think we are seeing everything the system has in mind yet. I do think that the skill system will branch out further to define players further. I myself am a pure DPS. My goal is to get in and hit hard but even with my high HP I'll be cut down to nothing with future bosses. This is why we'll need tanks. Players with decent DMG output but focused on DEF. They'll stand there and laugh as bosses hit them and they'll take forever to lose HP. Combine this with armor geared to tanks and you have a very hard target to bring down.

Now with the new system the only difference between the top 5-10 and everyone else is the amount of HP we have. The system rewards players for making multiple RPs and now a massive post count. If you happen to have both however then you get the best of both worlds. I think this is the best way we can reward those who are great RPers here but dont have the time to post 15-20 times a day.
