F01/Grandmaster Cook<<Oscar's Hot Dog Stand>> [Open]
NIGHT replied to Oscar's topic in Merchants and Shops
By now, NIGHT had been too much of a mess to even bother stepping away from the alley to grab food. Good thing Oscar's was nearby, and clean enough for her standards. So what if she ate hotdogs every gosh darn meal now? At least she wouldn't be hunted down by some weird orchestration by the system that looked exactly like her, right? Anticipating an even worse mood over the course of the week, she took one look at the menu and lazily pointed to a few items. "Gimmie two of that," she managed to irk out. "And that. Uh, that too, I guess." She'd then need something for today; a small meal to -

NIGHT replied to Andromeda's topic in Merchants and Shops
NIGHT walked back into the store. The junk sell was done, and she exhaled, feeling somewhat comforted by the idea that all those items were gone. Col in hand, she went over to examine the items before her. ... There wasn't anything she wanted; not on the enhancements, at least. The equipment in general... just looked too cool to pass up. Were those items really what she'd gotten for her troubles? She picked them up, examining them over, before bowing over to the shopkeep. "I appreciate your hardwork," the woman announced, trying to hide her mix of excitement and disappointment all at once -
[18/12/19] Dammit. Jeez. Ughh. NIGHT hissed, waving the blue lights away. She sighed, hunched over her desk, her fingers running through her hair as she pushed the locks back. Maybe she shouldn't have gone to the festival. It sure was making her more than upset, and it showed in her work. Nyanko jumped onto her lap, meeping and mewing for her attention. At least she had him to comfort her. She played with the kitten further, lightly letting him try to catch and bite her fingers, watching all the while. Eventually, when the cat was too tired to play, he curled up on he

[17/12/19] So this is how it was going to be from now on. A streak of somewhat mediocre crafts, then a boon -- a burst of luck from somewhere. As she shuffled along with another wooden plate of perfect crafts, she set them down in the backroom, ready to be picked up and moulded given time and essence. A peep came from the doorway. "Yeah, I'm just done, Nyanko." Further meows prompted her to move faster, tidying up her desk and sweeping up the mishaps. "Yes, yes," she chuckled, heading over to the kitten's food bowl. It was empty only on the centre, full of kibble on the perimete

"Of course I'm in," NIGHT replied, rising and walking over to the counter with the tea cup still in her hand. She examined the request form Basuke had set down, going over it in earnest and confusion. "I mean, I've never seen this before... but I can try." Behind the counter, past an open door way, NIGHT took her cup and the paper in there. A sizzle and pop later and the artisan exited the cramped, sepia room, with an empty cup and two paper squares in hand. "This one," she picked out one of them, "was the one you requested, and this other one is on the house." She tossed both of them ove

[Shop-F1]The blazing Typhoon [Rank 10 Grand Master Blacksmith]
NIGHT replied to Macradon's topic in Merchants and Shops
Watching the blades get made was an interesting process to behold. With each section that was built up, formed and layered, they melded with their foundation for a sturdy frame. There was also a note of interest; Macradon seemed to be able to identify and improve on certain sections of the swords, with which wielding them could cause discomfort. Better grip, a sharper edge, and a calculated an alignment of weight on the hilt of the sword. Was this truly the work of a Grandmaster Blacksmith? Perhaps he used the same swords himself, and transferred the knowledge of his skills onto his crafts. -
[16/12/19] It was good etiquette in crafting to salvage as much as was possible when a plan had gone awry. After the two she'd managed to save earlier, she hissed as a loose hand cut through the leather she was working with, making it too fragile and and fragmented to work with anymore. As it scattered into pieces, NIGHT could only sigh, ready to hang her head in frustration. Nyanko put a paw to her hand, curiously batting at the light. The artisan blinked, and then giggled, watching the cat look upon the particles in awe. A gentle pat and a smooch to his forehead was enough to keep

If the player hadn't noticed the shop owner, that's because they were chilling by the stairs, hidden away in their little, lovely alcove. "Hey," she called out, with a smirk and a cup of tea in her hands. NIGHT set down the drink, after taking another sip of it, shuffling over to the request forms. Taking a glance, the woman nodded, going into the backroom for a second. Two flashes of light were visible from the door way, and the sound of sizzling fire, but nothing was out of the ordinary in the artisan's procedures. Stepping outside, she slid the items down the counter, wrapped up nicely

[15/12/19] She changed her prices. It was probably for the better, seeing as how she felt more reliable in churning out quality crafts, and having a better pool of materials to work with now. Humming a little tune, she wiped away at Athena's Lens further, eager to have it clean at all times, just to show that she cared for the tool. On her desk sat a variety of crafts, and a scatter of materials to the side, the last remnants of blue light starting to fade away. All in all, she would count today as a success, when she had at least one perfect on the table.

[Shop-F1]The blazing Typhoon [Rank 10 Grand Master Blacksmith]
NIGHT replied to Macradon's topic in Merchants and Shops
A new tier beckons new equipment. Macradon's equipment hadn't failed her yet in combat, so the adventurer had figured it would be safe to return for another batch of metal wares. This time, she had some weaponry in mind, but was stuck over two designs that she was willing to test out. Filling up the request forms at the front of the store yet again, she walked over to the counter to hand them over. "Thank you," she managed to utter this time, in no rush to vanish anywhere else. "I hope this isn't too complex of a task." With that, she took a step back, trying to stay out the way as she wa -

NIGHT replied to Andromeda's topic in Merchants and Shops
To say that NIGHT was hauling a lot of baggage would be not only precise, but insightful, at this point. From her latest expedition, she went straight to Pandora's when she had the chance, a handful of curiosities to be verified. It's what she opened with first, "Identify these, please, when you get the chance." Then she lugged two large hempen sacks onto the counter, just a little away from the items she'd laid out earlier. She nearly lost the request she'd recited in her head earlier, but managed to squeak out a, "And junk sell.. uh.. these... um... sorry..." before ducking out the stor -
[14/12/19] There was something she took solace in. It was how likely she was able to create an item that actually stood up. NIGHT dwelled in appreciating this, as she pieced together the last item, setting it aside with the others she'd made that day. Today must've been the best performance she'd seen from herself so far, and she was more than proud of that. Closing her notebook, she'd place two pieces into the wooden bowl she had set up earlier, and then left the other three spread out on her desk, closer to the wall. Then, it was time for clean up again.

[12/12/19] It was probably luck, NIGHT concluded, as she went over the trinkets she had made. Uncommons, lined up in a row. Well, at least they'd make for good decor, right? ... Eh, maybe not. She set them aside, now stacking her less-than-ideal crafts in a wooden plate. A discard pile of sorts, she concluded, but there was no harm in keeping a handful around just for a bit. At least her kitten was enjoying them. She watched as Nyanko pawed at the stack, having taken residence on her table for the moment, as she cleaned up Athena's Lens with a cloth.

[11/12/19] The scales continue to tip in NIGHT's favour, but she couldn't tell if it was sheer luck, or sheer skill, at this point. Athena's lens had been a boon the past few attempts, and it shined through once again here. As she touched up on the last item, her gaze wondered over to the items lined up on her shelves, if she should by any chance recycle them by any other means. Perhaps she should, one would advise her. But the artisan was sentimental, just like her tutor, she guessed. The woman sighed, clambering out of her seat, ready to clean up and end the day's work where it was

[9/12/19] NIGHT had barely managed to scrape by using the last of her materials up before she completed her day's work. The myriad of different results were what she had expected too achieve in the past, but were only now being reflected in her efforts. She wiped her brow, satisfied with the results of her crafting session, before setting the newly created items aside, bracing herself to start clearing out her desk. "Mrrw?" A chirping came from below her table, before the shadow leapt over onto its surface. Nyanko brushed up against her hand, curious as to know what was happening in

[8/12/19] Okay, perhaps that went a bit too smoothly. Was Athena listening? Maybe she could hear her disappointment from the previous day and decided to send a blessing her way. NIGHT held up the three crafts in her hand, adjusted and modeled to perfection. It almost felt like luck was getting back at her for not succeeding before. She hadn't seen such fine work from herself in a while, so she immersed herself in it, patting herself on the back for once. Placing them gently on one side of the table, she took her time to fan away the fading particles from one of her less success
