  1. Hidden's words brought the elf back to reality. He needed to something or die! The elf reached his off hand for the little girls ankles attempting to grab her and pull her down. His hand was crushed by her foot. After a scream of pain, his sword tried to cut her across the chest. The child parried it away from her with her weapon, taking the dagger in an underhanded grip once more she reached down and dug the knife into the mobs face. He struggled momentarily before going completely limp and exploding to nothing but a mist of data.

    The Assassin stood there quietly, looking at the grass until the blue polygons went away. Once they were gone, the girl popped back up into a happy attitude and looked at Hidden. "All done! That was easy. Silly meanies can't beat me up!" She held up the ore that was to be the quest item for them. Once she turned it in, they would both get the experience for the quest

  2. The man was just as confused as any other person at the bar at his point. Sweat ran down his temples as people started talking in hushed tones. He needed to act fast or this could like bad for business. "I deeply apologize to both you and your daughter ma'am. There are several young orphans who come in here trying to steal food, I suspected she was another. Please," Her pushed the coins of col back over to the blonde, then turned to grab some keys on the rack behind him. "Dinner and the night is on the house for tonight. Please forgive me for jumping to a harsh conclusion." He offered a bow of apology.

    The Assassin scooped up the col and keys and ran off ahead of the Snow, running up to the stairs and heading down the hall as quickly as she could without really saying anything to Snow. She figured the tank was lit up at this point and it was going to be difficult to calm her down out there anyway. The act had worked and she humiliated that guy, all according to plan.

  3. From the shadows emerged the crimson red light that enveloped the tiny blade befitting the tiny user. A pair of emerald eyes peered through the darkness as well, stalking it's prey from the shadows. She had the jump on her target, and she would make full use of the advantage. Her body was light and quick. Almost impossible to track easily if it hadn't been for the streak of light she was emitting from her weapon.

    Footsteps caught the elf's pointy ears. Looking behind him, there was nothing there. The visage of a shadowed figure appeared behind him, her blade sinking into his back twice quickly before he even had time to react. Making some distance on his target, the elf drew his short sword and tried cut her head clean off her shoulders. The Assassin dipped down between his legs, grabbing his ankle and pulling it out from under him. The leather armored elf crashed into the dirt quickly rolling over to guard himself. The girl stood over him, dagger taken underhanded by it's handle. Her cold, serious gaze instilled fear as badly in him as Hidden had done to her. "Can't keep up with a kid?"

  4. "No! It wasn't that I didn't like it, it was just... I wasn't ready for it in that moment. No one has really..." She figured that it wasn't best to bring her problems onto someone who had tons of them, or probably had. She does notice the girl looking at her face for some reason. Instinctively, she touched her face. "What? Is there something stuck to my face? After a moment of crossing her fingers of over her cheeks, she remembers that she has scars. "O-Oh. They're hard to miss, so I don't even try to hide them anymore. I really don't know why they're there. They wont go away. The care taker at the orphanage told me that the people who gave me these marks were bad people. I had to be taken away from them."

    When Assassin saw her target, the mood changed. A serious demeanor over took her sad story was washed under the mat. The quiet grinding of steel came from underneath her cloak like she was pulling out a weapon from it's sheathe. She was quick, like any other dagger user, instead of opting for jumping directly into combat, she takes advantage of an outcropping of bushes. The darkness conceals her approach on her target, completely unaware of her pressence.

  5. Seeing as how Hidden was done threatening her, the girl seemed to be coming around again. This time, less on the coy side. "Yeah, I don't like being messed with either. I guess that's why I jabbed at you like that. I play dumb like that so people don't bully me, but other kids still bully me a lot in the orphanage. Adults are more likely to give me what I want and not be mean to me if I act innocent. And... You won't believe me, but I wasn't the owner of the helmet thingie back in the orphanage. The name was already set like that and I couldn't change it."

    Kaya didn't really understand the second part of what the woman had said, so she elected to ignore most of it. "Well, since it's best I shouldn't know you by your name, can I call you by something else? Shadow-lady?" Assassin's mood was improving the more she talked. The fear was still a little present, but she wasn't absolutely terrified like before. "Hey...um, why did you pat my head?" It was a weird feeling, and she was still trying to figure out why Hidden had dug her words so deep and then just pet her like she  was trying to console scared puppy.

    @Hidden

  6. Assassin's eyes went from her crafty trickery, to sheer terror, the shock in a span of ten seconds. What feeling was this girl wanting to instill in her? She had gone through so many attitude shifts in such a short time. What was wrong with her?

    Did she just... try to console me?

    Once her hand was removed from the hue-less strands on Assassin's head, she put her own hand in the same spot, attempting to imitate the feeling. "Try to play me though... I won't guarantee your safety" The young girl shot up instantly in fear.

    "I-I'm not! I'm sorry, I won't do anything funny I promise! We can do the quest right now so we don't waste any of your time! I-I don't want to die.." Assassin seemed panicked, trying to remember what she even needed to do in the first place. The interaction she was having with this woman was scattering her brain. She was doing everything she could just to try an secure her safety. "H-Hidden? That's your name right? She reached up pointing to the indicator that only she could see on her HUD. "I-I'm Kay- uh, Assassin."

    @Hidden

  7. The girl shrank into her dark cloak, he face changed as the woman seemed to go from 0-100 extremely quick. Her orange cursor was likely am indication that she wasn't only strong enough but willing to kill others for getting on her bad side. Although she tried her best to not let her facade down, the girl broke a few tears. She was just having a little fun and now she was being threatened for her life. It wasn't like she was trying to steal all the other player's money or her items or anything.

    "I-I-I was only trying to have a little bit of fun! I-I'm sorry you can join me for the quest, please don't hurt me!" While she cried the girl opened up her menu and invited the other player to a party in her group. Once that was done, she huddled down into a crouched position clutching her head with her hands like she was trying to hide and protect herself. The reaction was almost too natural, like she had needed to protect herself in this manner before. Th-There, see? I-I invited you to the group, don't hurt me, I'm sorry!"

    @Hidden

  8. "Oh is that so?" The girl nodded at her with her smile over taking her expression. "Mhm! I've already killed a big mean hornet, and another meanie wolf that bit me" The girl's smile didn't even fade when she spoke about murdering monsters.

    "I don't know... the third floor is pretty high up? Are you sure you won't get scared or anything?" Assassin folded her arms under her dark cloak while Hidden asked her questions. This was wasting time. She needed to go and kill the elf so she could level up more and talking wasn't going to get it done. "Are you saying that you want to come along and protect me? You don't look like one of the players that takes damage like Tank-lady. Why would you want to help a complete stranger like me anyway? Tell me what you really want from me Shadow-lady."

    It was obvious that Assassin could see through Hidden's intentions. There was something she wanted from her and she wasn't going to let her have it unless she told her the real reason she was bugging her. Although, at this point, Assassin herself wasn't doing much to hide her own intentions. "Do you need me for something?" Her bubbly smile turned into a crooked grin.

    @Hidden

  9. Assassin was caught up in her own thoughts when the woman's voice called out to her. Nearly missing the question she asked, the young girl turned to meet her eyes. A woman cloaked in complete black, almost the same as herself with her face almost completely hidden. The cursor floating above her head made her feel uneasy but even still she gave the woman an innocent, although fake, smile. The scars on her face made even more prominent with her cheeks puffed up happily.

    "I'm going to go quest so I can get stronger! Don't worry I can handle myself!" The other cloaked figure radiated the same feel that Assassin gave off herself. She could feel that the smile she was giving her was fake, that her tone was somewhat forced even if she somehow got it out. Who would break first, or call out the other one first? "I might be little but that doesn't mean I'm defenseless. I'll beat up any means that try to bully me."

    The Hornet, and the meanie wolf, were both dead. Felled by the duo rather easily. The bite mark on Assassin's leg had vanished and her health points were back to full. The rogue and the tank found themselves at the local inn in the town of Urbus. A nice place that sold some nice food. The sun was setting so perhaps they could get a room to sleep in for the night then the two of them could part ways after that.

    Upon entering the inn, the Assassin turned to her tank and gave her a slight smile. "I'll go and see if I can buy us a room, you can probably get out of your armor while I do that and we can get some food brought up to our room. I'm getting kind of tired." Without even waiting for an answer, she turned to go to the counter where the innkeeper was waiting on customers at the bar. His attention shifted from the conversation he was having to the child in rags who was approaching him. Upon reaching the counter, the girl looks up to the man behind the counter.

    "Can I get a ro-" The man interrupted her before she could barely get some words out. "I'm sorry kid, but I don't run a charity. If you need somewhere to sleep there's an orphanage not that far." The girl frowned and got a little angry. "But I ha-"

    "Go on kid, I have more important things to do." The man waved her off and got back to his conversation.

    I don't like bullies...

    The girl contemplated taking out her dagger, reaching behind her to pull it out from her sheathe. No one was going to bully her around like that anymore. She was strong, she could beat this guy up... No, she was with someone, she could make a fool of him. Suddenly, the girls expression grew upset and tears ran down her face. The girl cried and ran over to Snow, tugging on her clothes. "The man was mean to me! He wouldn't even let me rent a room, and told me to go back to the orphanage!"

  11. A hint of uncharacteristic enjoyment was actually flowing through her. There was actually some sort of fun in having someone to play the stupid game with, but even still, the Assassin had some secrets that were dark for this person. That secret would stay hers until the day she was in the grave, which could be soon but even so: No one can no what she has done, even if it was an accident. An awkward smile slipped past her facade even with those thoughts on her mind.

    "I know that I don't have to do so, but I want to get something to eat." Realizing she still had the dagger in her hand, the child slid it back into is metal holster where it belonged. It was easy to believe that Assassin was homeless and likely didn't have anywhere to go when they left, so she looked up to Snow. "C-Can you come with me to get something to eat?

  12. What was this? Did this woman really want to help Assassin? Was she just trying to get on her good side for some reason, so she could betray her later down the line? This wouldn't be the first time that someone has pulled this trick on her. Although, Snow had acted pretty genuinely so far, maybe she wasn't that bad.

    When the valkyrie reached down to inspect her wound, the girl stepped back away from her. A force of habit. Usually that meant she was about to get tripped. After some physical displays of uncomfortably shuffling around, the child holds still and lets her diagnose her wound.

    She was talking about the pain inhibitor. The fact that there was a gauge showcasing how close you were to dying wasn't unsettling enough, thinking about how awful that bite she just experienced would have felt without a system to dampen her distress made shrink.

    "I- I don't want to feel anything like that. That sounds terrifying... That bite hurt more than people had told me. It only did one damage to me, I can only imagine what would happen if I got hit with something much more powerful." She went quiet for a moment, thinking on that. Several seconds of nothing but the sound of wind. "...I don't want to die..."

    @Snow

  13. The crimson red dagger pierced past her emerald irises. A pack of boars minding their own business would rue the day they decided to eat grass here. The blade seemed to take control of her, it felt natural. The power in it was better than normal, she was strong!  The girl's body moved on it's own, leaping towards one of the boars and slashing in it's direction. It squealed for it's life and ran away when she approached.

    When she missed, the color of the blade faded away and the boars all descended upon the child. She was pummeled by two of them, knocking her to the ground and causing them to explode instantly. They dropped some items that she picked up by going near them. That was pretty cool! She was much stronger in this world, and enjoying that change, a lot. If she did the quests and junk, could she get even stronger?

  14. "F-Floor 1: Town of Beginnings!" Her voice rang out to whatever entity controlled these benign teleportation points in this game. The amazing clash of warping colors enveloped her vision, blinding hues overpowering everything else. Suddenly she was back on the first floor, where a low level player like her belonged. The Gemini had died to her hands, somehow. She wasn't even sure how it happened. What made her powerful? This gear she had made to keep herself safe? Was she just that strong? Questions and questions she couldn't answer, nothing made sense.

    Out into the safe zone, the Assassin tried to find something, anything to fight. She needed to know just how powerful she was. A fight with some monsters would be enough proof. She charged head first into a group of boars. Three of them just minding their own business and eating some grass. Assassin came up on them and pulled out her dagger.

  15. Assassin crawled free of the wolf's clutched looking down at the red on her leg. It stopped hurting just as Snow reached down to help her up. Her face blushed up a bit looking at her hand. She seemed hesitant to take her hand, but eventually she stood up with her help and looked down at her leg.

    "That was the first time I actually got hurt in the game..." The girl bent down and poked the red on her leg, feeling the pain in her leg again as she put pressure on it. She squeaked in pain quietly. "Owie... There's... There's no blood."

    She remembered that Snow was with her and stood up. "O-Oh, sorry... Thanks for helping me. I... not many people would care to help me that much. You rushed right in and helped me without even thinking about it... Um..." She seemed lost for words almost completely.

    @Snow

  16. Blink and you'll miss. The Assassin, one moment standing next to her companion, the next she was standing above the wolf. It couldn't be seen, but heard, a sword art was readied under her cloak. A glint reflected through her emerald eyes as the insanely fast dagger user plunged her red blade into the wolf's head twice, but missing the second one as it hurries up to dodge her attack. She pulled her dagger out of the dirt and looked back at the tank behind her.

    "Grrrr, meanies don't die! Die already you stupid meanie!!!" The wolf got angry at her and snarled viciously. It reached it's head out and  latched on to her leg, the quick shock of pain ran up her leg. The wailed in pain, but only lost a single point of HP. "Owiie! Ow ow ow! Get off!!!" The girl screamed swinging her leg around trying to free her leg. "Ow! Help me tank lady!!"

  17. The Assassin followed beside her tank the best she could. Her tiny stride mat it difficult to keep up with the woman's longer legs. When she asked if Assassin had been outside the safe zone before, the girl's mind returned to that Gemini she had killed. That was the only other time she had went outside of a safe zone.

    "No many people who knew me would offer to lend me a hand." She mentioned quietly thinking about all the older kids at the orphanage. "I've been outside in the field twice now. That is it." She looked over to her counterpart, having to bend her neck upwards just to get a good look at her face.

    "What about you? You took that wasp's stinger like a champ. You must be loads stronger than I am. You must know what you're doing compared to me. I've never touched a video game before this one... I'm only hear... Well, I guess it's not important, I am here-."

    The preteen was cut off when a wolf jumped at her. A loud yip of surprise came from the girl when her cloak rose up revealing the finely made leather armor and three daggers that she was carrying. Her face got serious pretty quickly as the cloak fell back into place gently. The grinding of steel could be heard as she drew one of her daggers. The crimson red aura tried to bite through the canines flesh but came up just short.

    "Stupid jerk!"

  18. The child looked at the option on her menu. She figured at this point, her ruse was pretty much failing. It was best if she came clean and tried to mend it.

    "Okay look. The hornet really did scare me a bit, I figured if I acted a little more scared though... you would help me without question... Also. I- I didn't choose my name. So..." She tapped her finger on the screen and accepted the invite to the group hesitantly. A name popped up on Snow's HUD.

    Assassin: [   20/20  ]

    The girl did her best to hide inside her cloak like it was a scarf. Completely quiet and obviously nerve wracked, she waits for Snow's reply following some distance behind her in case she had to run away from this person. She seemed nice enough to listen to reason, but many people have tricked her into trust before. She wasn't going to get tricked by people anymore.

    @Snow

  19. Another easy quest, more free skill points to make her stronger. Being stronger than a normal person wasn't enough, had to be stronger get stronger and make herself difficult to kill. She needed to survive somehow. The gear she had was the first step to that, but she had to kill more things to get stronger. Big mean monsters and things like that. No more needed to kill innocent people. That accident was still weighing on her mind too heavily. The face the person made before they died... That would be etched into her mind for the rest of eternity.

    The couple made no comment about her being a child and offered to make her armor. It was unnecessary but it was free experience for the quest. She only had to kill a meany elf and bring back the materials that he has on him to make the new armor. Then she could just sell it.

    The Assassin made her way out of the safe zone and towards the spawn location of the dark elf.

  20. She...was believing her? Acceptance? Or, just neglecting to understand what she was doing? Well, best to ride this train while its on the tracks. What to do actually? Her only plan for today was to kill this boss. There wasn't any other doable quest right now. Maybe she could spend a moment to do some killing.

    "I need to get stronger! Let's go kill some more meanies! If I kill more I can get stronger!" Acting like an unknowing child wasn't annoying to her. It was some kind of fun to play pretend. Snow could hear the scraping of her dagger sliding into it's holder and locking into place with a -click-.

    "If we're going to go and do that, you will protect me right? I'm trying to get more brave so I can fight more meanies!" The girl moved over to Snow's side and gave her another innocent smile. "Lead the way, tank lady! I'll be right behind you, and follow your lead!"

    @Snow

  21. The Assassin watched the giant hornet fall to the ground daintily from it's stun. Twitching and helpless. It was weak compared to them, they hard power that it did not. That was the manner of this game, those who were strong can rule over others.

    I won't let anyone bully me.

    The girl dropped to her knees in front of the overgrown bee and stabbed her dagger directly into it's face without even activating a sword art. The creature contorted to the damage, sprawling until the Health Bar fell too far.

    Empty.

    The monster exploded into nothing but data, leaving just her and the other woman. She looked like she wasn't believing her ruse. Think of something quick! "S-Stupid meany was trying to hurt me! You helped me though! Thank you! I could have been hurt real bad if you didn't help." The girl rose to her feet, dusting off her ragged cloak that hid everything but her hands, feet and head. She offered an innocent smile to the other player.

  22. Strong. If she tried to attack this person, she would likely die. She must be several levels higher than her, but she could reach her level too if she kept up a steady pace. The child cleared ehr eyes and tried to act like a brave little kid, even though she didn't fear this over grown beetle in the slightest.

    "L-Let me help!" The girl said. Her blade glowed with a red aura, deep like crimson blood and jumped on the hornet. The blade sunk into the hornets skin, tearing a dark red gash through its body. The bee then turned on her, since Snow had yet to land a hit on it.

    "U-Uh oh..." The girl mumbled when the wasp started chasing her around again. Her tiny body was confusing the hornet underneath the cloak, since the rags covered up where body even was underneath. So much for a tank taking the damage for her, looks like she'll have to dodge.

  23. Tearing and slashing. Something strong was here. Fighting it wouldn't be difficult, she was strong. Powerful. This was a true test of her strength. If she lived through this, she could easily be strong enough to live on. Everyone here was on equal footing as long as they put in the time, and now it was her time.

    She approached the spawn area of the hornet, seeing the beast just out of range. She pulled her dagger out from underneath her cloak, hidden from anyone within view and crept towards the hornet slowly, seeing if she could sneak up on it. A rustling in the leaves, someone was near.

    No one can know.

    The blond popped around the corner and she quickly sheathed her dagger. The hornet sees her, time to play pretend. The girl bolted in the opposite direction towards snow, a crying wail came from her mouth as the giant insect bolted towards her.

    "Help! Help me, it's trying to kill me!" Actual tears dripped down her cheeks as she took shelter behind the other girl. Heavy armor? Good, a tank. Now she wouldn't even be bothered by the damage.

Not that she knew the difference between them and a real person, otherwise she wouldn't have that face in the first place. What was she supposed to do with this? No, she wouldn't. This would be her secret and no one was going to find out. She couldn't spend the rest of life in jail when she was only 12 years old! She wouldn't do it! It was that guys stupid fault for attacking her when he was so much weaker! She was in the right! That's why the guard didn't attack her! Yeah! That's what it was! This wasn't her fault! The girl hurried through town, looking for the teleporter, she needed to get away from this place.
