  1. The rock that was tossed on his lap, Kodo just stares at it. Taking a deep breath, Freya said nothing that he was expecting. It really caught him off guard. Grasping that flat rock, moving a thumb over the phrase. A tear drips down his cheek. It was something that his sister was always telling him. -Whatever happens, let it, faith will guide you down the path you were meant to take-. A sigh as he looks to the large slab, Kaylee's name. They all were right to an extent. He couldn't just sit here and mourn his sister. She was not here any more and it would do him no good. These people were trying to help him, glancing back at that rock.

Getting to his feet now, Freya was long gone. Glancing to the monument with a smile and another tear down his cheek. "I love you Kaylee, I hope you're in a better place." Wiping his eyes with his sleeve. Opening that HUD of his and starts to create a message for each that made him come to this new found perspective.

    To: @Freyd
    From: Kodo

You were right, something has to give. I don't want to feel lonely any longer and if you really think that Firm Anima can help me then I will be there. Name the time and place...

    To: Lium
    From: Kodo

I am sorry that I left. There was no reason for that reaction. I feel like if you gave me a real chance, we could be real friends. Bear with me though, I have had no one besides my sister so you will have to teach me what a friendship is supposed to look like.

    To: Freya
    From: Kodo

Okay... I understand that the threat is real and that there is always another way. I had lost site of that, thank you for bringing it back into the light. Thank you for stopping me from making a mistake that I couldn't come back from on that night we met.

With each chime of his HUD the messages would be sent. Kodo walks away from the monument and from here on out, things would be different. He would take everything that those people have told him and form a new path toward a future that he hoped would be better than this one. Starting with the easy quests on floor one. Kodo had to get these mechanics down, those skills that have been presented to him through the game. If he needed help, Kodo would call upon Firm Anima to help. Kodo had to at least try before he just decided to give up...

  2. "I just can't do what they want me to. My brain is hard wired to one thing and I can't just change that sequence in an instance." Pulling his hand away with a sigh. Wondering if Freyja was going to say the same thing they both did. "I wanted to confront that person that killed my sister, just to maybe talk or something, but they all keep telling me it's a bad idea and that it won't end how I want, but I feel like it is the only way that I can move forward." Combing his hair back with a hand.

Locking eyes with her again, "I actually wanted to talk to you. After what they had to say I just feel that you could understand what I am going through better." That was the point that he realized he felt comfortable around Freya. There was just something about her, something that he had seen in his sister. He wanted to trust someone, like the others had said, he had to start somewhere. Maybe Freya would be that start. Kodo didn't know much about her, but he wanted to. It was a weird earnest feeling that he had yet to find. Maybe feeling nothing wasn't the way to go, maybe he just had to let someone in to get a better view... Kodo was still confused about a lot of things and still didn't know how to feel but he didn't want to shut down like he'd done before. It didn't end well last time and it wouldn't this time either... Kodo's eyes narrow now. Giving a sigh, he waits to hear what Freya's thoughts were.

  3. That blank stare held, Kodo grabs Liums hands pushing them away. Kodo backs away from Lium now. "You guys wanted this, you should be happy." Another step backwards, "You still don't get it. You can't help me. No one can..." He turns and starts walking, he could feel Lium following him. "My entire like it has been only my sister and I, and now it is just me." Kodo's voice was without emotion, as his feet continued to move forward. "You can't just walk into my life and expect that everything is going to go the way you want. Life doesn't work like that..." adjusting his cuff on his sleeve. "Just leave me be Lium. I am not worth your time." Next thing Lium knew, Kodo was walking into the main settlement of this floor. Looking back, Lium was standing a few feet from the entrance. "I will figure it out on my own," Kodo says before a few guards run past him toward the entrance. Seeing Lium run off from them, Kodo turns and starts to walk.

  4. Your sister is gone.  You know this...

"I know this, but..." trying to say as he clings to that necklace tighter.

You need a new rock to cling to, or else to become a rock yourself...

"Damn it..." Freyd was right, but it wasn't going to be that easy. -Hi, I'm Kodo, be my rock please- Like anything actually happened like that.

You owe it to her to get your ass off the ground, pick a direction, and start walking.  Whatever happens, happens...

Kodo had spent so much time in this game sitting with only his brain in motion. He knew that he had to get up and start somewhere. There was just so many things that had to be done now. Kodo gives out a small grown. Shaking his head, before looking to Lium as he shared a short story.

You owe it to Kaylee to at least try, don't you?

So no anger, sorrow, revenge... How hard could it be to not feel anything... In high school it was all he did, it came to a point that he just stopped giving a damn about what people thought about him. Shut off his emotions because it was simply a distraction to what Kodo was trying to accomplish. This game was supposed to be a break, but he couldn't even get that... Seeing Lium's hand, he takes it, lifting himself up to his feet. Opening his HUD, seeing Kaylee's name crossed out in the friends list. This only name in there, taking a deep breath as he presses delete on her name. "You guys want me to move on, okay." Closing out his HUD now glancing to the two. His voice was oddly plain sounding. "I do not know how I am suppose to feel, so I won't." No hesitation or emotion in those words, just completely serious. No nothing on his face as he says "I will do the only thing I know how to do. Focus without distractions." Kodo right then starts to walk toward the door. Lium grabs his arm softly, Kodo just looks down at his hand. "I am not your burden to bare. You need not worried about me." Glancing toward Freyd, "I have chosen, whatever happens, will happen." Lium slowly let his arm go and backs away. Kodo walks out the door.

  5. A small breath as he remembers a quote from his sister. One that Kaylee would always say when hard times were at its finest point. "Man proposes; God disposes'? First you do your best, and then fate will decide how it turns out..." Kodo's eyes narrow to the floor. "Something my sister always told me when things got rough." That overwhelming feeling was back, he hated it so much. "I want closure I just don't know how to get it." Turning a bit, pushing his back against the wall. Sliding down to the ground, "Kaylee was everything I was not. My rock, my heart, my world... I don't know how to live without her..." Gripping a chain around his neck. Something that was made before that day. "Being strong was always her thing. People got in my face, she was there turning them away. Kaylee was the definition of perfect, the ideal that I was never able to amount to." Gripping that chain tighter, closing his eyes. "How can I just move on from that. To be my best self when I don't even know who or what that is..." Kodo says in a small voice.

  6. "Those hands moving forever forward. They will eventually stop, it already has for some people in this place." Taking that last bite, he could see that Lium was getting pissed off and confused as all get up. "What does it matter if time stops now or years from now. It has been 4 long, painful years for probably most of the people here." Kodo's brain started calculating other possibilities. "We are barely a fourth of the way through this hell and it might be another 14 years before we get zapped back out." Kodo shift in his seat and glances to Lium then to Freyd. "If we get out of here, who is to say that were are not going to be brain dead, we have been in a vegetated state for this long and even longer to come." Something started to click in has he was speaking about this.

His eyes would narrow to the floor as he started thinking about what he had just said. "What if time has already stopped for most of us here and it's the systems hooked to our brain that is keeping us alive..." The thought was horrifying to think about. "This may be the only life that we have left..." Kodo gets to his feet and walks to the kitchen with his dish. "Why does that jerk get to control who lives and dies like that. To clear a population that HE thinks is far too many," he says from the other room. Taking a deep breath, standing in the doorway, leaning against the frame. "Why does this guy get to control our fate." Crossing his arms against his chest now as his eyes lock to Freyd like he had all the answers, sure he did not though.

  7. Lium slams the bottles on the table before walking to the kitchen, Kodo would follow. "I do not see why just confronting this man is a problem. I just want to know why he did it and if he regrets it." Lium sets some cheese on the counter and notions Kodo to start cutting. Kodo takes the knife and slices fine and even slices. An extra piece was made, Kodo takes it in his grasp and starts to eat it, tearing off tiny pieces. "I do not see why it is such an issue, I want to look into his eyes and know that he feels bad for what he did. This may be a game, but they are still people. They still have feeling and I want to know what he was thinking right before the sword went through Kaylee." Taking one of those plates, Lium had made 3 sandwiches. It was clear they did it without realizing it. Even with this weird heated conversation, they were completely in sync with one another.

Sitting in one of the chairs with his food, his eyes look to Freyd. "I just want to confront him. Why is this such a big deal to everyone? I simply do not understand." It was true, in Kodo's head the way it worked, it was a simple equation. Go, ask, leave. It was clear that Kodo wasn't seeing the full picture, was blind by only one outcome of many that were not seen. To Kodo it was the normal and obvious option. Taking a bite of his food now waiting for the conversation to progress...

  8. Kodo had never actually used any type of weapon before. The mere effect that it was doing to him though, Lium walks to the beast. A bit nervous that it was going to get up and dice his ass. Kodo's chest was pounding a million miles per second, was this what being scared felt like. Looking back at the group, Lium stuck a thumb out with a grin. Taking a deep breath, he still didn't know these people. How could he trust who he didn't know. This thing could probably one shot him if given the chance. Sweat starts to drip down his forehead as he got closer to the giant thing. One small foot fall at a time. That large hoofed foot near him now, Kodo quickly plunges at it. A roar of annoyance from the creature as it starts to get up. Those huge eyes staring directly at him, Kodo began to back away nervously. That Giant Axe raises into the air and starts toward him. Closing his eyes tight as he hears metal against metal. Heat rose on his skin, opening them slowly, seeing Eruda with her shield up. Forcing the large monster back with just a simple push. "That was good, but I believe you can do better Kodo," a smile was given to Kodo, as he takes a few step more away.

  9. Kodo stands there staring at that sword in his hands. His heart sunk and his chest tightens. Kodo's memory floods back to that day. Everything around him was just noise, just like before when he was sitting in that ally way. Kodo's hand starts to shake as the memory of that sword plunging into his sister's stomach. To everyone else they would see tears from the wide eyes. "I can't,' saying dropping that sword on the ground. Backing against that wall as he just stares at the blade. "Kodo," hearing someone muffling something, but he couldn't hear it. "Kodo..." but still nothing...

Lium looks to Kodo with excitement, but then an even face. Lium has seen that look before, it was one that he wore for so long. Staring into that mirror, remembers thinking what else he could have done to save those friends of his. Lium had not a clue what Kodo saw, but that blank stare that he had was all too familiar. Walking to the man and placing a hand against Kodo's chest, pushing him against that wall. "Kodo," not response. Lium pats the dude on the cheek a few times, "Hey Kodo," finally the man looks up with those sorrows wet eyes. "Good, tell me. Would she want you being like this," Lium had heard Freyd say she and by Kodo's reaction right now, he would only assume that it was one in the same. Kodo just shakes his head slowly. "Then fight, fight with every bone in your body. If you can't for yourself, then do it for her. FIGHT for HER Kodo." Liums words were a solid tone, but you could hear a mix of determination and passion within them.

Kodo takes an inhale of breath like he was trying to catch it. Lium removes his hand slowly to gage his reaction. Kodo looks to the sword again, wipes his sleeve against his eyes. "Okay," is all Kodo says before grabbing that blade in his grasp once more, waiting for the others to lead the way.

  10. Following behind Eruda, he had not been doing much before this. Kodo was still getting a feel for everything around him that seemed so old yet new in the same perspective. Knowing that he was too low level to do much right now, he would have been waiting to hear something from Freyd. After that day, it was a hit to reality. Trying to get his sister out of his head without forgetting all the good memories, it was hard to do for Kodo. He knew that his sister was gone, but it didn't feel that way. Not hearing her voice for a while, still unsure if it was real or something that his brain had mustered up in a panic to keep him from going insane. Trying to cope, but he was unsure how that was working and he wasn't sure how to deal with that feeling. So far Freyd was the only one that actually tried to get to know him, everyone else would just walk past him like he wasn't there. Similar to what was going on when he was set in the state of mind. Kodo remembers seeing people walk by him, but said nothing...

Joining the group shaking his head, as he peers at the boys icon... A glare could be seen... Kodo would just stand there watching the man with the weird pirate hat unsure what to make of him or any of them for that matter.

  11. The words he spoke were simple yet understanding, but it was something that he had yet to think about until now. "You might be right. This scar will not heal overnight though. I know it will take time, and as painful as it may seem right now, I have to move on." It was very strange. Words that sounded greek to him at first. Simply because he never talked this way. It was most likely from recent events, Kodo was changing and he knew it. Unsure what to think about this, "A man like you needs assistance from me? I am not sure what I would be able to do, being low level. The variables do not match to most of what could be done in my position." He wanted to leave, but there was something about this man. It was an odd feeling for sure. Sharing his feelings like he did, Kodo never did that before unless it was his sister. Never would have admitted to pain as deep as he did. Why this man... Why now...

A slight roll of his eyes with a small sigh, "Fine, what did you have in mind?" Kodo did not understand this, and he might never but what else could he do. Wander the town until something came up on change that he could actually do that one thing. It was better that the worst...

  12. Kodo looks away at this point and narrows his eyes. That day rushes through is mind, that kid pops into his head. Eyes close, head tilts slightly as that pain set in again. "I don't..." he says through a cracked voice. His chest weighs heavy with guilt, like there was something that he should have done to prevent what transpired. "I can't..." a tear down his cheek. A rough inhale as his eyes look to the ceiling. A voice in his head again,

I don't want this to be how you remember me Kodo, think about the happy times...

Kodo still couldn't figure out if that voice was his self conscious talking, remembering the way she was and thought or it was actually her. How could it be though... A sniffle as he wipes one of that tear with his sleeve. Closing his eyes, "Kaylee put everyone's needs before her own," taking a deep breath again. "That smile, it was always there, even at the worst moments of our life. Always thinking positive, never down... Told me that if you only think happy thoughts, then everything else would seem so little." Swallowing hard, "You would look into those eyes and just know that every would okay."

A pause, closing his eyes again. Thinking about nothing but her, another tear... "That beauty easily showed on the inside and out, she didn't even have to try. By far the sweetest, most kindest soul you would ever meet. Kaylee was flawless..." Keeping those eyes closed, you could swear you saw a very small inch of smile on Kodo's lips.

  13. "My mind kept me in captivity for far too long, so no, it would not," he says before walking up those stairs. The first room on the left... He still felt weak, but the food helped a little. This man really wanted him to stay. It started to cross his mind that he had no where to go, no home, no friends to turn to, no one he could trust... He had literally nothing... Opening that door, it creaks open. It was very empty, just a bed frame and a small end table sitting to the side. Walking in he shuts the door behind him with a deep sigh. From this point on it was going to be rough. Kodo had always counted on his twin to know what to do, his goals that were made outside this game was thrown into the garbage for obvious reasons. They did not matter here... He had to start completely new. Sitting on the edge of this bed, white sheets covered the lining. It felt like cotton, at least this place was cozy. Laying back, staring at the ceiling, his heart started to ache. Where did people even go when they died here. He holds a cress that hung around his neck. It was something that Kaylee made him in this game. Told him that no matter what happened to her, that this would always give him hope. Eventually he passes out.

    6 hours pass...

Waking up in a sweat, sitting in that bed, his cheeks were full of emotion. It was what he feared if he actually fell asleep. Kodo takes some time to calm himself, wondering if that man was still downstairs. If he actually stayed, and if he did, Kodo would not look like a tragic mess.

After a few minutes, thoughts were racing through is mind. It was better than the alternative. He had to figure out where to go from here. Kodo refused to just have stuff handed to him, working harder than ever to get what was needed. Taking a few strides toward the door, closing it behind him. Steps down those wooden flooring, he finds that man sitting there, papers being shifted around. Taking a seat next to the man, blank face. Opening his HUD to check the date. It had been 3 years... A small inhale, then exhale. All that time gone, he had been stuck in his own mind. Closing his HUD now, he had to start somewhere. "Trusting another is hard for me. I will refuse to get handouts or freebies." He just comes right out with it. Everything he would get will be earned, this was the one thing that he would stand by no matter what happened. "I am sure that Freya said something, Kaylee is my twin sister." Without say too much, he was still unsure if something like this should be shared to one he didn't know. It was a very sensitive topic, hard to speak about. Kodo was eager to hear what Freyd had to say, he would eye this man reaction.

  14. Watching the blond leave with that threatening phrase. Did this woman really expect him to stay. He still couldn't tell if that whole couple thing was a joke or not. The moment the blond was out of earshot, the questions started pouring in.

His face didn't change, it was calm, no emotion could be seen. That plate was empty, the exchange was made. "It's interesting, you ask all the questions, but they all hold the same lingering resemblance." Kodo would start gathering that col back up and place it in his satchel. Taking a sip of that water, his eyes still felt heavy. They would probably be burning if they could.

Curious still, "Why would anyone go to the monument, I can think of 2 reasons. To mourn one that was lost to them, or to count who they've killed. For me it is the first." Some seriousness in his voice, he would not mention who, simply because he didn't want to be a burden to whom ever these people were. It was clear that Freya had been worried, but it was not her problem to try fixing. Getting up from his chair now, collecting that dish, "I did not know that your blond friend was there, she heard some things and saw another that made her worried. I am sorry for troubling her and you. It was never my intention." Walking to that through that door frame that he saw the girl come in and out from, he sets the glass tapestry inside water. Bare feet hit the metallic floor, he would need to get some shoes from somewhere. That girl most likely threw out everything that he was wearing, he did not blame her.

The less they knew the better, he was trying to get back on his feet, he had to learn to live without his sister now and he didn't need anyone else seeing that part. If he brought back that day, it wouldn't help the cause in any way... "I will get that rest that she feels I need and will be gone before Freya returns." A brow raises to Freyd, "Unless for some reason you hold me hostage, I am sure that you have other things to worry about today."

Kodo would begin to walk up those stares, anyone paying enough attention would see that fatigue in his steps. The man turned toward Freyd for an answer before going all the way up. Kodo could tell that this man was perceptive, just by the comments made, what else was held behind those curtains.

  15. Freyd would looks to the mans dish, that was completely gone. He couldn't actually remember if he chewed or not. Watching these two bicker back and forth happily, he hears in his head,

Now who does that remind you of, dear brother...

His eyes would narrow just a bit, but if you looked carefully, you could see a hint of a smile against his lips. "Not at all, she was very kind, I would gladly pay double for the hospitality that she has given me." Glancing down to his plate and to Freya's, then to Freyd's, his stomach growls again. "Make that triple if I could get some more of this delicious food." A hint of bargaining would be heard in his voice. Kodo would see a brow rise upon Freya's face before sliding her meal to him. It had barely been touched. "Oh, no, I couldn't. This is yours, what will you eat." He would watch Freya get up from her chair as she stuffs a honey roll in her mouth and begins to tie her hair up. Right then the man knew that she wasn't going to take it back so he starts to get into his inventory for col.

This was an odd group of people, but somehow comforting. It reminded him of the days with his sister. He didn't want to alert them with something so damaging and weird, did not want them to think he was crazy. Small talk really wasn't his thing, but if it really was his sister in his head, then he wanted to make her proud. As he dug through his inventory for the payment he felt he owed, "So are you guys a couple." Kodo sets 1000 col on the table before beginning to eat again.

  16. Eyes never left those mans, soon he would find them staring back. He brought this on himself, as Freya spoke, but it couldn't be heard. He had drowned out all noise, voice and clanking pans alike. His breathing was calmer that before, it was something to focus on. As odd as it may of seemed, it might of been what he needed, although he really didn't know what he really needed right now. He didn't know how long he was sitting on that ground, how long his sister had been gone. How long he hadn't eaten and why he felt like he was starving. So many questions that seemed relevant but pointless at the same time. His head was craving for those answers, it had been some time that he had thought about anything besides that day. This little staring contest that was being had was refreshing, a break from all those randomized thought, a break from his sister's voice that he was still oh so confused how that was happening. His eyes just sit there staring as he leans on one a hand with his elbow on the table for support.

  17. midorima_sunglasses.jpg.361a5b89a2f2224e9ea3c3dce15a03ec.jpgShutting the shower off, it was a small relief to feel clean again. Grabbing a towel from just outside, he looks down to those clothes that he was wearing. He shakes his head and wraps the cloth around his waist. Glancing to the door, he was wondering if that girl was still out there, reaching for door handle but stops hearing another voice, a man.

Do not be afraid, I taught you better than that...

That same voice in his head, one that claimed to be his sister. A sigh as he twists the handle and opens that door. This was all sort of weird for him. He didn't know what to believe now. Hi sister died in his arms, but somehow he is hearing her voice. After those 3 years he was just sitting there, nothing. Why now, why did this voice in his head chose now to show up. Walking slowly out through the hall holding the towel up, the blond's eyes shift to meet his. Rushing to his side with a full set of clothing folded into a neat little pile. Taking them and saying nothing, he walks back into the bathroom. He would feel better if he was not so vulnerable before he were to speak to any of them. Closing the door and placing his back against the wall.

Just hear what they have to say, you are not alone Kodo...

Taking a deep breath saying "Fine," in a whisper as he starts getting dressed. After a few minutes he walks back out and sits on one of the chairs. His eyes shift to the man in the room, but he speaks, "Could I get some more food please..." It was clear that he was talking to Freya but his eyes never left the man's.

  18. His eyes looking back into these girls green eyes. His turn into a squint almost glare as he keeps them locked. Why does she care... What makes her so different from those selfish players?

She has not pulled anything out to threaten your life...

Without looking away from this girl, he tries to respond in his head to whomever this may be, if anyone at all... -Who are you-

    A response, -Kaylee, your twin-

-No she is dead, she is gone...- Right then more tears start to fill his eyes. Could it really be her? -Tell me something only she knows-

There was a slight pause, -When we were 10, you got beat to near death just because of the way we looked. You stood up for me and I promised that I would start doing the same for you. It was why I stood between you and that player.-

This was most definitely something that no one else had known. There were no witnesses to that day his sister had died, there no to come to their rescue, just them and this player. Kodo starting to wonder if this man was still around.

-Stop being stubborn. Talk to her, live for me Kodo...-

Still, those eyes were locked with this female that was still holding his wrists. A small sigh as he pulls once more to try to get out of her grasp, Freyja lets go. Glancing back to that wall, that name as he gives a sigh. "Kodo," saying softly as his cheeks were dry from the water works, the remaining drops. He had none left to produce.

  19. A question, one he did not wish to answer. He had not a clue who this person was, for all he knew she could be a mass murderer hiding her appearance... He thought this about everyone though. That boy from that one night was a dirty scum. Trust already didn't come easy for him and this damn game would prove that he couldn't do just that, trust anyone. The one person, the only person was now gone in the wind. "It does not matter," Kodo says in a small voice.

In the back of his head

Of course it does dear brother...

Kodo just looks back to the carved stone. The name on that wall, he just stares at it saying nothing.

You cannot keep on like this, it is simply not healthy...

Holding his head with both hands, "SHUT UP," he wanted it to stop. His sister was no longer of the living. This voice could not possibly be normal or even real...

You do not know that, stop acting crazy.

'You are not real, you are not real, you are not real..." Kodo shuts his eyes tight and repeats this over and over. Hands wrapped around his head, he actually forgot that there was another person here with him.

  20. Get up Kodo

Staring, nothing but staring at that blank once occupied space.

    Kodo, get up, now...

A voice that echoed clear as day, one that he recognized. His twin sisters, that blurred aspect vanishes as he looks around, still not moving from where he sat. There was nothing around, not a soul to match that voice. Confusion sinks into what was going on.

This is not surviving Kodo, get up and live Kodo.

Another glance around, nothing but a rat that scrambled through the trash next to him. Where was that voice coming from... Dark laid around the ally that he sat. "Kaylee, is that you?"

Stop talking out loud, silly, I'm in your head...

Eyes shift to the stars above him. It had been several minutes as her started to think that maybe he was crazy. That voice sounded exactly like her, but if it was her then how.

"I'm heading to the monument. I will be home late tonight." A different voice, one that also could not be seen, but it was a different sound. Like it was just around the corner and not in his head. Someone real, an actual person... The monument, it sounded familiar. It was something that Kaylee and him explore once before everything that happened. Where that dead laid to rest. Kodo slowly gets to his feet after not hearing that voice in his head for a while. His eyes felt harsh and a bit blurred and his throat felt like he swallowed a rock. Stomach was empty, but he was determined to figure out if Kaylee's name was on that list of names. He remembers what was said by the large man in the sky, anyone that dies here, dies for real. He needed a proof of concept. Needed to know if what he saw was real, if his twin was really gone. He would piece the rest together when he got to that.

Using the walls to guild his way to that place he had been once before. No one around, but an owl, most likely that same owl that was heard just moments ago. Interesting, but he keeps stumbling in that same direct. After some troubling foot fall, he manages to get to this large slab of stone. Name littered every inch of this concrete. A deep sad sigh as he tries hard to focus on those names. Using his finger now to guide his view carefully to each name, one by one. After some time, his finger stops on a single name. Kaylee Mishka, his eyes intently start to water. Overwhelming sadness fills his chest as his knees give in and he drops to the ground. Closing his, wetness drip down his cheeks.

It became nearly impossible to breath, "I am sorry Kaylee, I should have done more. Pushed him away or something, did something than just stand there and watch. I watched that blade and now your gone. I'm so sorry Kaylee, please come back to me, I need you, I can't do this without you..." This was said through tears, it was hard for him to grasp this, he started to think that maybe he shouldn't be here. How it was his fault that she was gone. He shouldn't be alive right now. Shifting his body, his back against the stone now as his eyes open with a blur from the water works. Finding a sharpened edged pebble, grasping it in his grip as it slow moves to his other wrist. "I don't want to do this without you..." Starting to put pressure on his fragile skin...

  21. Sitting there staring at an empty space that was once occupied.

"Give me all you got..." a boy clothed in makeshift armor, a long haired beauty stand in front of Kodo, his sister. "Don't be stupid boy," she says as she places a hand on her brother from behind her.

That night played in his head, time and time again. Kodo was trying to figure out what happened that night.

"I me..eean it, empty your pockets..." a simple blade pointed at the twins by a boy that looked barely out of high school. Black hair, he looked to be struggling by the sounds of his stuttering. "You have more than what we have, why do you want what we have?"

Sitting in a dark alleyway, his hand goes to his forehead, combing his hair back, never taking is eyes off that absent space on the ground.

"St...opp with the questions and do what I sa...ay" Kodo's sister pushes him back a bit and walks forward, "Kaylee don't," Kodo says in a whisper. "We have nothing for you boy, go run a play somewhere else."

A muffled owl sound in the distance, talking between other players could be heard just outside his peripheral vision. His mouth was dry, stomach was empty, eyes burned for sleep...

"I am no...oot playing around, both of you, gi...iive me what you do have now," this was almost a yell from the boy. Kaylee takes a few more steps toward the boy. His hand was shaking as he held the sword out. The boy takes a foot fall toward the long green haired girl, you could hear a snap from the boys ankle as his foot landing on a rock and rolled, with a pained scream from the girl standing in front. Kodo's eyes shift quickly to that sword that was now inside the gut of his sister. Standing upright the boys eyes were wide, Kodo rushed the few feet to his sister as she collapsed in his arms. In that moment the twins eyes link, "Survive Kodo, I love you..." words fade before the girl bursts into data... Kodo keeps his hands out in front of him staring at them with a pure blank look. Feeling of panic and sadness fill his chest. "No... What did you do?" Kodo's eyes shift quickly to the boy that was panicking himself. "I'm sorry, I didn't mean to. There was a rock and..." Kodo's eyes glance up at that green icon above the boys head turns from green to orange. "I am really sorry, I really didn't mean to..." the boy at this point drops his sword and runs out of the alleyway now knowing that the deep glare that Kodo was giving him, it was not going to end well if he didn't leave right then...

So many moons and suns have fallen. Days passed, then months, years... Kodo was still sitting there staring at that blank space. Everything around him was muffled and barely heard from one's perspective. Replaying that event in his head, trying to wrap his head around what shouldn't have happened in the first place... Sun falling from the sky once more... Sitting in this dark alley...

Kodo and his twin sister were born with a genetic defect. Their hair nor eye colors matched either parents' gene pool. They both spend their early childhood being made fun of, but rounding middle school it started to not bother them. They had heard everything in the book from four-eyes to -Your a frog...- Their parents were very supportive, their kids were smart and had manners, what more could they want from their children.

Highschool came before they knew it and they had to move during their senior year due to a job that father had taken elsewhere. They were the shiny new toy in an entirely new environment. They both fit in really well given that they were straight A students. Besides the fact that they had green hair and green eyes, they were both good looking. Kodo was never fond of the attention he was getting from the females around school, seeing this by his twin and being new with no one knowing who they were, his sister started to act like they were a couple. This was to her advantage too, the guys around the school seemed so pathetically desperate that she had to do something about it.

Kodo and his twin were close, they always have been. He was the quiet one compared to his sister. When he spoke it was always because something needed to be said. Other than that he would sit there and listen to the stupid conversations around him. Kodo never forgot anything, it was both good and bad. He knew things that he shouldn't so he would just keep it to himself. He thought rumors were stupid and he would never start one about someone. Jokes never phased him and bully's never got to him because he just didn't care. Kodo always felt most comfortable in a suit, he knew he was smart and to him, this is what showed it. He believes that anything worth having would have greater value if got or done on his own. He will not accept a gift unless he had something to give in return, unless it was from his sister. Simple fact was that they are a team and do almost everything together. They have the same mind when it comes to thinking and idea's. They were cut from the same tree...

Koda was never into sports, but he kept his body tone up. Koda and his twin would go jogging early in the morning before school, it was one of their things. One day they heard about this game that everyone was freaking over. Koda and his twin agree to do this together, something that they have never done. It would be exciting and fun.

    Now

Kodo and his twin sister came into this game together, but after one tragic event with an egotistical player that wanted what they had, his twin died before his eyes. It was a pure accident, this player turned orange as his foot slipped and the girl was plunged by a sword, he said that he never meant it to turn out that way. Apologizing continuously as a blank slate just stared back at him, the man ran and hasn't been seen since. For some time Kodo just sat there in the ally way doing nothing but stare at the ground where his sister fell. Just sitting there watching, just hoping that somehow, someway she would just magically come back to life. Some time passed without a blink, no food or water to serve that demand. He just didn't care, he was alone in this world now, why should anything else matter...

One day, who even knows how much time had passed, he gets up from where is sat. His body was heavy and he felt empty in more ways that one...

    Virtues

    Spoiler

Independent: Kodo finds that everything worth having should be deserved. Putting the effort into something and working hard to earn what you want. Nothing is free to Kodo, it is why he will never accept gifts, at least not easily. He will do anything he can to make sure that being is payed back some way shape or form. Everything comes with a price in his eyes. Nothing will ever be free...

Noble: Kodo lives by a code, meaning he always feels underdressed if he is not wearing a suit. He does not judge or discriminate others for being themselves, he actually prefers it. He will also look at both sides of the coin before making any decision. Koda thinks things out further than others would so that he may make a rational point. Also makes him look smart, because he is.

Focused: Deciding early on that there were only certain things that really matters in life, his twin being one of them. Getting good grades to graduate with a scholarship to a big college, learning things he doesn't know and succeeding in life is a huge part of that. This is why he shook of all that harassment because it really didn't matter to him.

    Flaws

    Spoiler

Brash: He will not lie, he will tell you what he thinks without sugar coating it. His opinion might not always be right, but he doesn't base what he says off that. If he has something to say, it will be heard regardless of whether or not it was actually heard.

Humorless: You will hardly see Kodo smile. Jokes go right over his head mainly because he doesn't get the content of it. Stupidity makes him shake his head because it is a pointless notion. It would take a lot to see a single chuckle from him. It could change if you took the time to get to know this man.

Sponge: He hears everything and forgets nothing. It's mostly why he chooses to keep to himself. His twin is a different story, but there will be times when he hears something that shouldn't be said around him. At that point, he knows something that he shouldn't and now he is put in the crossfire of a very impossible situation.
