Confirmation, and deflection. Tactics that Nymoria knew better than she would like to admit to, but she also knew better than to comment on it. Instead, she let the flow of conversation shift towards that of their familiars. Her eyes shifting between the two as they began talking about the two familiars that she and Wulfrin had found. She smiled and nodded at the comments directed towards her and Musei, before tilting her head at the questions posed by Adelyte. This little friend is named Musei (Voiceless). I named him because of the way that he can't speak properly. As if to confirm Ny

Nymoria replied to Salem's topic in Beginner Floors
She stared at the man as he corrected her assumption, the words registering slowly as he stated that he'd be willing to continue the questline with her. His flurry of commentary afterwards were, for better or for worse, mostly lost on Nymoria as she tried to come to terms with the fact that she wasn't being immediately turned away. She followed along, as he suggested leaving, barely aware of the trip out of the cavern itself. Her thoughts were a mess, and as she entered into the sunlight, she found herself squinting in surprise. I guess we're out now. Thank you, for your help. Most people -

Nymoria replied to Freyd's topic in Intermediate Floors
Her breathing came in ragged gasps as she stared at the thing, her mind reeling as she registered the dangers it presented, and the fact that their entourage had missed his attack. She could feel the entirety of the situation pressing in on her, and it was only through a flurry of movement that she was pulled from the piling despair that was attempting to cover her and tear her away. Her eyes turned to focus on Ciela, her mind slow to register the fact that the woman had signed to her, the movements somehow both familiar and unfamiliar. It's fine. Freyd is strong. Freyd is capable...Freyd miss -
The pathway leading out from the town was it's usual calmness meets calamity as NPC and player made their way about the day. Like the two beside her, she gave a soft movement of greeting the guard, signing towards him even as the other two waved and called out. Not that it would do her any good; unlike the other guard she'd met in Tolbana, this one seemed far less welcoming. Paying no heed to the passing players, the man continued upon it's designated patrol route, oblivious to the world around him. I think I like Terin better. At least he says hello, even if he's busy. The ruckus within

Her eyes shifted between the tablet, the cipher, her own notations and finally the continued messages she'd received from Salem. Everything had lined up, eventually, and as she turned to face him, she saw and heard the words that confirmed her own thoughts. We did it. It's deciphered. But...what is the meaning of it all? The message seemed to allude to a variety of things, and it was clearly meant as some form of riddle that would assist them - or more than likely confuse them - in whatever came next. Tilting her head slightly, she gave a smile towards Salem as she considered the possibilities -

Well, I'm not going with many healing skills, so the healing familiar skillset is a bit of a waste...which really only leaves hunting, scouting and profession. Profession might be useful, but...I mean for how long? What happens once I've mastered that? And...what if it doesn't really give Musei the job that he wants? I should ask him. She turned to the weasel suddenly, glancing at the creature as it rode her shoulder through the crowded areas that they had been passing through steadily. Her hands moved as she signalled to the small creature, before beginning to post her questions to him in an -

The message popped up in her peripheral vision, and she paused just long enough to glance over it. The catch was something that she had missed, and she quickly jotted a few notes into her small digital pad before glancing back at the cipher once more. It was quickly coming together, and as she stared at the runic symbols on tablet and tree, she felt herself smile. Her hands moving quickly across the virtual keyboard, she typed out a message to Salem as the excitement of her discovery took over her caution. Her face, beaming with a smile, didn't necessarily look at the man, but there was an ent -

They'd left the café behind, albeit Nymoria had risen with a grandiose amount of reluctance. She'd wanted nothing more than to remain seated for the remainder of the day, if not her life. Everything burned as she'd risen from the comfortable chair she'd been settled into, forced into movement by the ever growing annoyance that Musei had displayed at her tardiness. Now that she'd made it out into the street, she wasn't sure that she was feeling any better - everything still hurt, and each step felt like a singular moment of misery. But it is improving. Maybe sitting around would've made it wors -
She received the message not too long after she'd placed the order, and she happily bounded to the shop from the floor's teleporter. She'd been in a good mood lately, but as she entered the shop and found the pieces prepared and ready to go, her smile brightened immensely. A small glimmer in her eyes, she gave a collection of signs towards the shopkeeper after bowing deeply, her excitement beyond words. These pieces are masterful! I cannot believe the workmanship and dedication that went into each of them. I shall honour and cherish them, even when they become nothing more than memories of thi

Nymoria walked along beside the other two, angling herself just so that she could see both of their faces as they spoke to one another. It made walking a bit awkward, but it was a skill she had developed some time ago. She couldn't help but giggle at the woman's commentary, covering the lower half of her face with her hands in order to hide her amusement, if only slightly. She gave up any pretense of appearance, however, as the woman tsked the attitudes and behaviours of the NPCs themselves, her hands drifting down to her sides as she shook with the quiet laughter. As the teal haired woma

She'd eaten as slowly as she possibly could, consuming each bite as if it pained her to end it. Which wasn't as far from the truth as it could have been, the idea of ending the meal and having to focus on the quest she had put aside for the day - an activity that would mean she would have to continue moving when her body already felt like it was going to collapse under her - made her want to do nothing more than remain in the lounging bench of the café. At least it's nice and soft...and welcoming...I never want to get up again. Her reprieve and desire was broken, however, when the form of -

She slumped into the booth with a resigned sigh and a less than graceful thump. She'd argued with Musei for about ten minutes before giving into the weasel's stubbornness. No matter what argument she'd thrown at him, he'd ignored her and simply thumped his tail in a sign of disagreement. Eventually, tired and not desiring to argue any further, she'd relented and told him that they could go - but it would be a late breakfast. The weasel had simply acknowledged the comment before striding over to it's bed and curling up into a small ball, clearly content to wait out her preparations. A lar -
Training Your Friend Quest The vibration of the morning alarm, paired with the sunlight spilling in through the window of her inn's room, forced her awake against every effort she placed in trying to avoid and ignore them both. Her entire body still ached from the previous day, and she wondered if the game had some sort of recent update to accomplish a more realistic impact, or if her mind was simply filling in the blanks of the memories that she had of the entire routine. Whatever the reasoning, as she rolled over onto her side she felt a groan escape her in response to the various pai

She waited until Wulfrin's attention had been slightly pulled away, before pulling down her eye a bit and sticking her tongue out at him in response to his request. Absentmindedly she flung a few signs into the air, not paying attention as to whether anyone was watching or not, the motions mimicking the attitude of someone agitated or grumbling, in a way. That was the point, Baka. Her minor tantrum over, she instead turned to follow the duo, making her way along the paths through the town as they headed for the shop. She gave a strong nod of agreement as Wulfrin mentioned the other two NP

She shook her head, her eyes focusing on him as he pended the question at her. It was the first she'd ever seen of a cipher, much less the associated runes, since her time beginning in Aincrad. She watched as he pointed out possible interpretations, considering everything that could come from each of their guesses. Until they had at least started to break the concepts of it, the message would remain a mystery. Yet there was no denying that there were connections between plaque and tree, and as Nymoria ran her hands over a collection of items, she saw something begin to shift in her understandi -

It split with a sudden vibration, the boulder collapsing to either side as Nymoria stood before it, her arms pulled back and a look of surprise upon her face. She turned, after a few seconds, to face the Master of Martial Arts who had remained standing behind her. As soon as her eyes fell upon him, he gave her a small smile, bowing slightly towards her. In a belated reaction, she returned the gesture before rising and facing him, the elation of the entire event apparent on her face. I did it? I did it. I actually did it! I finished off the quest! Right? She waited for the man to speak, bouncin -

The crack had expanded to the point where it was no longer simple a superficial blemish upon the surface. Nymoria could see where it stretched not only to the core, but the opposite side of the boulder. A small filter of light that seemed to beckon her towards the finality. Her excitement had been building with each successful hit, and as Nymoria saw the small sliver of light peaking through the boulder, she found her elation reaching levels that she had never let it reach before. She knew, deep within herself, that it was dangerous to get her hopes up so much, and yet she found herself unable -

The weasel leapt to the side as her palm slammed into the rock once more, causing a large superficial crack to appear along the upper most portion of the large boulder. Although her strike had been nowhere near the weasel - she'd taken time and effort to aim well enough to avoid hitting him - she was happy to see that he had taken the smart move to jump aside just in case. Nodding to Musei, she checked to make sure that the weasel was actually okay, smiling as he settled back down on top of the rock and stared at her once more, his forelegs up in the air as he sat and waited for her to repeat -

The action wasn't lost on Nymoria, and she gave a quick chopping motion with her right hand, on top of her the backside of her flatly laid out left hand, her eyes locked on Freyd's as she made the motion in order to ensure that he saw it. Thank you. She fell silent as the others began talking among one another, content to simply watch and readlisten to their conversation. She had little input to provide as the topic turned to a more romantic matter, a fact of life that she felt she had entirely missed. Or, at least, that she had never truly been apart of in a meaningful matter. Instead, s -

As another small crack appeared in the boulder, Nymoria found herself smiling again. The movement, her constant bouncing and lunging, had pulled Musei from her pocket and up to her shoulder, his claws digging into the cloth of her shirt as he struggled to hold on. As she'd come closer to the boulder, her movements bringing him into a range with which he could jump, he moved from her shoulder and onto the boulder itself, spinning in a circle as he took in what she had done, before settling to face her. She pulled back a bit, wondering whether it was safe to continue striking the boulder if he h -

Her hand impacted the rock, but she felt something off as it struck. Her eyes glanced down in time to watch as her palm slipped off the side of the rock, the power of her strike entirely lost as the momentum carried it along the curvature and away. In response, she felt a smarting pain shoot up her wrist as the impact reached her elbow, and she pulled her arm back, nursing it slightly as she confirmed that it hadn't broken. It was a natural action, even if she knew it was unlikely to happen within the game setting itself - at least, she'd never seen anyone else break a bone within the game. -

She had to repress the squeal of excitement as another strike landed and split the boulder even further. Already she could see it splitting and moving towards the top, growing in a slower manner than she would've liked - but growing nonetheless. It was enough to give her the drive she needed to continue, and Nymoria found herself thrown into the task before her with a sudden amount of energy that she hadn't felt since beginning the trial in earnest. Smiling to herself, she swept her feet around to better balance herself, lowering her weight slightly and taking time to prepare herself for her n -

She stared in a mixture of further confusion, as well as excitement as the boulder beneath her fist cracked ever so slightly at the impact of her palm strike. She'd meant to do nothing more than slap it, but the movement had turned into a slightly well aimed martial strike, leaving an indentation in the boulder that couldn't be denied as the first of many breaks it would receive. Her eyes widened suddenly, she felt the excitement course through her as she realised that she'd had success within the first real attempt. Maybe I can do this after all? She didn't want to hope, didn't dare to -

Their path led them to the centre of the temple, and as the Master turned to face her, Nymoria felt a sudden reservation. She couldn't help but wonder if there was another purpose to her being led her, but as her eyes roamed over the room, taking in the few sparse trees and the large boulder in the centre, she couldn't quite figure out what sort of traps or punishments would be in store for her. When the Master finally spoke, his voice was filled with a measure of patience, and Nymoria found herself following the words with confusion. "This is the third and final task. Before you is the -

She screamed, the noise causing a disturbance in the area of the waterfall - but not reaching much beyond it. She could see Musei shift, the sound likely reaching his sensitive ears as his companion released everything that had been bottling up inside. She pushed out of the waterfall and dove into the water, deciding that she had enough of the quest. She would simply leave, return home to the inn that had become her new residence, and figure out another way. As the water swallowed her form, she let back the tears she'd been holding in, the feeling of overwhelming loss and despair taking over h
