[PP-F5] Buried Danger (Seul, Hikoru, Tristan, Macradon)

Buried Danger

Treasure is known to be right under the nose of the individual.  Sometimes it was in plain sight.  Others were lost in time.

Then there are the treasures that are buried deep below.

In the sands of the fifth floor, a team of intrepid hunters will find that below the desert lurks a terrible truth.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Wiping his forehead, even though there would be nothing to wipe off, the jade hunter found himself in front of the bulletin board for the fifth floor.  Apparently, a team of players had found out about sub-dungeons that had begun popping up around Aincrad.  From what the information was saying, the dungeons were hidden in strange area from the fifth floor up.  Experiments have lead to nothing below that.  That being said, the creatures inside are quite tough while also giving a boss level creature at the end of the dungeon.  The chance for epic loot and boasting rights have begun the dungeon hunting.  The information has been given freely to the public as of this moment.  Though, there could be some stuff withheld, due to other means.

"This could be quite the prospect.  Let's see if anyone is willing to venture out into the sands for one."

The hunter was ready with his jade plate cuirass that extended down into a gauntlet on his left side, which rested on the pommel of his sword.  The other hand seemed to scan across multiple messages along the board, seeing if anyone was already on the hunt.

Now that word had spread across the land that there were an innumerable amount of dungeons to conquer, he found it to be the perfect opportunity to get ahead in the world. It was exactly what he had dreamed of; exploring into the places none had ever seen before. The only dilemma now was finding a group to venture with. He had hopes of traveling with certain players but many of them were still low-leveled and unable to handle the stress that came with dungeon play. Left with no other choice, Seul did the one thing that almost always guaranteed finding him a party: Stand on a bench and yell. "Hey, I need help looking for a dungeon in order to reap those sweet rewards! Talk to me if you're interested-"

Tristan smiled as he received an open invite from Hirru. He had been rather lacking any challenges except event or floor bosses lately, growing bored of redoing the same quests to help users that did nothing to him than anything else. However now, players had found a new opportunity appearing in places. To be exact, dungeons had been found by places hiding in the nooks and crannies of SAO, previously unseen. He smiled as he relished in the idea of a new challenge, deciding this would be his calling along with bosses, to tank for these fights. "Of course I accept." he spoke to himself, then walked to where Hirru and another player was, waving a greeting and saying gently "Hello there.".

Hikoru had heard about dungeons off of rumors from the info broker. Dungeons sounded like something that he should be interested in. He went to the fifth floor, seeing a bulletin about a group forming to go on a Dungeon crawl. He looked around for awhile, until he finally made his way to a group with afew familiar faces. He smiled and made his way over, giving a big smile to Tristan, the most noticeable player of the group

"Hey Tristan! Long time no see!" He said with a smile. He had gone on a Quest with him and his wife not long ago, and was glad he had such a strong player to help him with this. His strength is what would carry them throughout this adventure. He was only here to help find the dungeon, with his decent luck, and his lucky ring to help him along the adventure. He also saw Seul, a young player he had met awhile ago, but only briefly. He nodded in his direction, and smiled at the player that seemed to be the leader of this party. He bowed slightly "Hi, my names Hikoru, and i'll be joining this party." He said with a smile

It was hot today, quite hot. The window was open and the wind came in few gust from time to time but it was still hot. The moist hot air filled Macradon's room at the inn on the 5th floor. "What a day ..." he thought. He nearly just arrived here in the inn and it was hot as heck. He would lay down on his bed for now to cool down for a few minutes. While relaxing he wondered about the new things that has been discovered. "Sub dungeons ..." he thought. He had always loved the dungeon crawler games back in the real world so he would be thrilled to try it with his own "body", or at least his own virtual body. After a few minutes of thinking for himself in his room he would leave. He went down to look for a party if anyone was out doing some sub dungeons and he didn't have to look for long. He heard a voice coming form the general area of the Bulletin board. Someone was looking for more people to look for a sub dungeon. Macradon was hooked. He went to the area where to voice came from. "Hi, I'm Macradon, I'd like to join" he'd say waving at the people who stood there. He didn't recognize any of them but some of them seemed to know each other so Macradon would be the odd one out.

The hunter looked upon the entourage that had come in search of the sub-dungeons.  Everyone seemed to at, or above his level from what he could tell.  Information about people were a dime a dozen these days, but he didn't like to pry into the info of others.  Though, as the party invites went out, one by one, the names came.

First, Seul, a dagger and shield user.  Quite an odd combination, as one would normally lose their effectiveness with the dagger when wielding shields.  Though, this world was known to break those norms, as they were called.  He would have been the tank/dps of the operation until..

A wild Tristan Delaney appeared.  This one, the hunter had much information on, though not enough to be too invasive.  The grand tank of them all, he had absorbed more damage than nearly half of the total population of Aincrad!  Of course, that was a probable exageration, but that didn't mean that he wouldn't be a great asset in this run.  He would be our main tank, and if anything Seul may be his switch in DPS, if something doesn't work.

Next, there came a fellow named Hikoru, whom was another dagger user.  Though, his strengh seemed slightly less than Seul's, but his effectiveness was greatly improved by an innate aura of luck that the individual would give off.  From the information that was given about the dungeons, luck was a grand factor into finding one.  He would be our scout in this mission.

Before the hunter could finish his team synopsis, another would join the search with them.  Two handed straight swordsman, Macradon.  A fine addition for his AOE locks as well for his fine damage.  Mac and the hunter would be the Crowd Control / Stun locks combination.

The hunter would address the team with each of their roles while discussing what they were about to do.

Seul - Main DPS
Tristan Delaney - Tank
Hikoru - Scout / Secondary DPS
Macradon - Crowd Control / AOE
Hirru - Leader / Stun Lock

"We're going to be searching for a sub-dungeon on the fifth floor.  As it is just a series of passes and a vast desert, the possibility of it being in the desert is high.  That being said, it may take some time, depending on how well our scout can find the dungeon.  Once inside, we won't know what will be down there, so stay vigilant!  Tristan may be our tank, but that doesn't mean something in there isn't able to surprise attack us. Remember that, and let us set out!"

He took a breath after that before looking towards everyone.

"Are there any questions before we go?"

Tristan watched as several people joined the party, including Hikoru who he had helped in the past with the Guardian of Fire quest. It was good to see players all around, both newer and older coming out to form together and strike what the world of Sword Art Online had to offer. He smiled as they spoke, fully liking the prospect put before them. Cracking his neck to the side and equipping his default equipment, he nodded and said "Let us just keep searching until we find a dungeon. It may take a while though, since they aren't incredibly common and thus can be a pain to find. The plan is sound also, I can fully agree to it.".

Seul lazily made his way over to the group and intently listened to the plan set before them by Hirru. Half the challenge of the dungeon would be finding one first, though it shouldn't have been too difficult if they all stayed persistent in their efforts. Being made the main DPS of the team came with a slight shock as he never really figured himself to be one for taking on such a role. Though based on the rest of the team's builds, it would seem he was best suited for the job. "Well, I have no complaints. Let's not waste too much time standing around though; I can hear the dungeons calling my name~!"

"Sounds like a good plan" Macradon said agreeing to the plan. As a two handed sword user, he specialized in AOE and Stuns, having a bit of it all in his kit. Tristan seemed like the tank, Macradon had only heard about him before, never really met him, but here they stand. "If it ever gets needed I can pump out some DPS as well, or just some massive AOE if needed" he said as he was a master swordsmand, being two handed sword rank 4, he had nearly finished the long run of the sword skill and had many sword arts available at his disposal. He'd be able to pump out 48 damage on 4 targets at the same time or 56 on a single target, depending on the amount of enemies they'd be facing. Also his first rank sword art Blast that he had modded, 5 energy for an AOE stun, that was quite handy.

Hikoru nodded silently, agreeing with the plan and the roles. He was the main scout, so it was his job to look for the dungeon, and be ready to attack if need be. He hoped he wouldn't have to fight, but he would be ready if need be. He took out Dementia, his favorite Dagger, and waved it around, playing with it for a moment before putting back. He looked at his group. He knew he could trust these people with his life, and it made his heart calm more. He gave a small smile and a thumbs up

"Ready when you guys are!" He said. He looked out to the desert, enjoying the heat and the feeling of being in the warmth. He breathed in, and coughed slightly. The sand would definitely be a problem for him, but he knew that he could easily survive through it.

[Just remembered that we had this going..]

The hunter nodded before forming them up on a proper formation to keep anything from getting hectic.  A wedge procession would work for this encounter group.  Tristan and Hikoru would bring up the front as the tank needed to be ready at a moments notice, and our scout needed to find dungeon as fast as possible.  Seul and the hunter would bring up the left and right flanks respectively.  Macradon would have the back of the formation to quickly step in with his AOE attacks.  They were to switch in once Tristan had a good hold on any enemies that they encountered.

"Let's head out!"

The sands of the desert would loom before them as they started this venture into the unknown.  Only a few people have actually explored a sub-dungeon at this point, and the thought of such a place would bring many adventurers.  Hopefully, none would venture to their deaths.

[If you would like to spawn mobs or hunt while we search, I do not mind it]

"Let's go then" Macradon said. Many people had grouped up here to search for the dungeons that had began to appear on the floors. It was great that they were many, more people to search for the dungeon and the more the merrier. 5 people to take down a dungeon, it was quite a sight seeing a group of 5 like this walked down the 5th floors fields in their "epic" search for the dungeons. Macradon would go with the flock, following the direction the rest would go and himself searching for the dungeons if he could ever get any in sight, they were probably pretty hidden since they had first been revealed here not so long ago.

[Can we finish this? I want that sweet loot XD]

Hikoru nodded and followed the group quietly. He was in charge of finding this place, and thanks to his new ring he would be able to find it without a lot of hitches. He smiled and looked at the group around him, making sure to take notes of the new players. He knew Tristan already from his previous quest. He knew Seul a little, as he had met him once before. But it was long ago, and he had no other rememberance of the player. But the other two, Macradon and Hirru, he had only met just now. He had no idea of these people, but he knew that he could trust them, as they already would have tried and killed him if they wanted to

Tristan gripped his shield and saw the othe players excitedly going out to try and find the dungeon, sighing and chuckling when he watched. Well, it was with the intention for good loot and experience, which you can fault no player for wanting. They just had to be wary of consequence too, as these dungeons could be possibly rather dangerous for them to approach, with enemies yet to be known for their power. "Just don't forget to leave me to tank and you'll be fine.".

Macradon looked over the assembled team they had, strong dps and tankiness, Macradon's AOE sweep was also great having. It would be easy for them to get into a dungeon and clear it with all these people together. Macradon would yawn as all the walking wasn't something he liked that much, but they had to look after the dungeon, physically. He wasn't too fond of so much work, but liked it when adrenaline flowed through his body, so the dungeon might be enough to make him hyped, if they ever find one.

If there was one thing he hated about SAO, it was the extreme weather conditions which often varied from one floor to the next. The desert was no different and as miserable to travel through as ever. To make matters worse, no one in the group was talking expect to provide occasional phrases or pieces of advice for when they finally enter the dungeon. For the most part they were all strangers from his perspective, and although that wouldn't make much of a difference once they found their destination anyway, he still felt the need to break the silence that was controlling their trip. Especially if it would aid in getting his mind off the heat for a few brief moments. "So... Anyone have any cool stories from their time in Aincrad?"

[Alright!  Getting back into this because someone asked!  If you don't remember what stats you had when we made this, don't worry about it.  Use current stats instead.]

The group walked through the desert for some time, while searching for the elusive sub-dungeon on the fifth floor.  The desert was as expansive as it was dangerous, which meant that they needed to keep their wits about them.  The mobs of this floor were known for their ambush predatory instincts.  Hikoru would have to be vigilant for, not only the sub-dungeon, but for any threat that would compromise their formation.  Though, the same could be said for everyone.   Nothing could be left to 'second guessing' or 'individual effort'.  They were a team that required each role to do its job for the entirety of the group.  One does not work without the other.

"Stay vigilant, everyone!  This is ambush predator territory.  Take precautions against falling into any traps and/or attacking mobs."

Hikoru gripped onto his dagger tightly and started to look around for a sub-dungeon. He had been in charge of being the scout, and he had to continue to move forward in their quest to find this. He went out of the group, and moved farther ahead. He kept them within yelling distance, so that if there was anything they could hear him. He breathed and continued to move forward as he did, looking for hidden entrances or enemies in disguise in the large sands of the desert. He breathed and scratched his Familiar Sutetchi's chin comfortingly, not able to completely trust the sands around him

"Keep your eyes peeled bud, no idea whether or not anything will be seen without you helping me out..." He said quietly to his Familiar. Sutetchi rubbed his neck, as if telling him that he understood and he felt his familiar crawl onto his head, grabbing his hair and starting to look around.
