Nathan watched as the smith whizzed off to his forge and anvil and began hammering away at metals as he worked on his various orders and projects. The sheer strength of the task simply amazed Nathan and when the smith returned with the rapier he had ordered Nathan looked at it, a bit dumbstruck with how relatively easy he had accomplished the task. Already Nathan himself had wasted plenty of materials in just trying to make something, anything, and this blacksmith had just made a sword in such a short time. Nathan payed the smith the promised 1000 Col and gave him six of his own finest materials and took the rapier into his own inventory. "Thank you so much for your work. Hopefully I can repay such services one day." With that Nathan equipped the sword to his belt, enjoying the feel of the new blade's weight already, and turned and left the shop completely satisfied.

Only one day aftdr Zandra placed her order, she returned to the blacksmith to pick up her new set of surviving gear. She walks into the store, exited to try her new items in real, or virtuality reality."Heya. Im here to pick up Ilya and Lyss." She said and send five thousand col to the smithy. When she got the armour she gave him a bow."Thank you very much. Maybe we gonna see each others again before long. Im gonna need many mew equipments when floor twentyone is becoming available. Having finished the items for the orders, Nikodemus brought the Rapier to the young man who was waiting in his shop. Handing it over, Nikodemus watched him inspect it and approve of it. Sliding the Col and Mats over, the young gent left. Taking those, Nikodemus transfered the funds into his shops inventory and then moved them from the counter to a safe place. After, he messaged the other customer and let her know that her order was ready. He did not have to wait long. The young woman came into his shop excitedly and picked up the armor happily. Giving him 5000 Col, she then let him know she may need his services again. "I will be more than happy to take any future orders." With that, the young woman left.

With the forges stoked, Nikodemus began to forge items. Working the materials with his hammer on tongs, Nikodemus forged the billets into well made items. Only one of them was inferior. He made a new whip made of chain and quicksilver, a shield made of wood and steel, a set of armor, and a dagger. These were unique and well made. Of perfect quality, he made a Katana, a War Hammer, and a set of bladed gauntlets. As each item came from the forge, Nikodemus worked hard to finish each item with their own personal touches and make them each unique. Upon completion of them all, Nikodemus then wrapped them and took them all to evaluations.

With a feeling of determination, Nikodemus began to forge new items. His work took time, and he did not want to make inferior items lest the material itself was bad. Working hard, he made a whip of coiled and braided chain. This he tipped with a nasty spiked sphere. The next item he made was a large two handed sword. He took time in the forging of this item to prevent it from warping under it's own weight. The next couple items he made were some sets of armor. each were different than the next, and he took time to make them all unique. Then he made a set of shields also. Each was again different from the next, and he etched and engraved one, while chasing the other with colored materials. The last item he made was a curved sword. This was made with a hilt in the image of a dragon with it;s wings spread, the blade the creatures tail. with the items made, Nikodemus went to have them evaluated

When the floor meeting at finally come to a close Kalesh headed to the shop of Nikodemus_Blackwood after setting up a few things to help him reach a higher level than his current one. When that was done however it was apparent to him that he would need a weapon to maximize his results. "Hello!" The wild dancer said into the shop as he entered, his eyes wandering around the shop curiously to see what the player had to offer him in their pre-made inventory. Before long Kalesh's eyes had wandered onto a particular pair of clawed weapons that resembled his own in a way. Spending a moment in thought, Kalesh nodded his head and said to the owner "Could I get these? The talons of..." He spends a moment trying to figure out the pronunciation "Nyarlathotep? I am that red haired guy who asked about weapons back at the meeting" He says just in case he was not recognized, covering his bases to be sure.

Hearing the chime of his door, Nikodemus slid from the back forge room and smiled at the new customer. He was wearing his casual black and red tunic and grey breeches, covered with a black leather apron. "Welcome to the Cracked Crucible. Feel free to look around, and any questions you have, feel free to ask." Watching the man, he recognized him from the meeting. Grabbing the roll of paper he had made notes on, he searched it and remembered he wore Wild Dance items. When the Red haired man asked to see his best Wild Dance item, it came to no surprise. "Of course. Here." Grabbing the items from the display, he carefully laid the weapons out before him, the razor tipped quills of the hand weapons gleaming with a dark fury. "Try them on."

Kalesh nodded softly while unequipped his current claws. His usual weapon was much smaller in side so he figured he'd need to get used to these longer fingers as he took hold of the weapons. After equipping them onto his hand he makes a fist a few times, lifting his arm up and down as if he were lifting weights. He turned around to an empty space and then swung a few times with his arms with the claws extended. "Hmm... These could be nice." He smiles and gives a nod of approval as he unequipped the weapons to his inventory. "They'll certainly last me well past the boss I figure, thank you very much! I'll make sure to put them to good use until then. The stronger I am, the better chances of these doing some good." He chuckles softly and gives Nikodemus a thumbs up. "If you need help killing something, feel free to invite me along. That's the least I can do after taking your best claw weapon!"

Nikodemus watched the man test the weapons. Satisfied they were in good hands, he nodded to the man. "Good. I am glad my weapons can find a good home. Good luck on the front lines, and be safe. If you ever need anything, feel free to stop in or send me a message. I am always around." With that, Nikodemus watched the man leave and then returned to his forge to begin work again.

Waking early, Nikodemus decided to get some work done. Having spent the other day in the jungle of Floor 8, Nikodemus was not in the mood for much more than work. Taking some materials, he began forging. The first bits of work he did came out as rough iron, or basic steel weapons and armor. These he left as was and set them aside. The next item he began to work on was a basic shiv. It was nothing special, but still deadly if used in the right hands. The next item he made a steel shield. This he shaped like a rounded diamond style shield seen mostly in Europe. He took it to the finishing table and put a fresh coat of pain on it. The last item he made was a set of armor. this he made with chain and steel plates, giving it two types of protection. This also he painted and mimicked the paint scheme of the shield.

Waling into the shop on Floor 7. Eibon's eyes widened in surprise. All around him were racks, shelves, displays, cases, and more. Each of them were stocked to the nines with weapons, armor, and shields. Shaking himself from his stupor, Eibon walked to the counter and leaned over it. The owner was no where to be seen. Calling out as loud as he could, he kept looking around. "Hello?! Mr. Blackwood?! It's Eibon. We spoke via PM earlier. You said to come in and pick up some items?!"

Hearing the door chime to his shop, Nikodemus finished working on his latest item and then set it aside and began to clean himself up a bit. Hearing a voice call out and the name of the customer, Nikodemus smiled and stepped through the wooden door that separated his forge from the main shop front. Still wearing his leather apron, Nikodemus approached the counter and gave a curt bow. "Guten Abend Herr Eibon. I am Nikodemus. Owner and Operator of this fine establishment. Thank you for coming all the way here. As promised, I have something for you." Leaning down, Nikodemus grabbed a bundle of items that were all covered in cloth. Setting the bundle upon the wooden counter he smiled and opened it up. Within lay Nikodemus' old armor, shield and weapon. "I am sorry that they are hand me downs and such, but they are some very good and should provide you some protection and such until your ready for new armor and such. Please take them free. I no longer need them any longer and wish to see them put to use, not collecting dust with the other items on these shelves."

 

Smiling, Nikodemus opened his shops inventory and activated the item IDs and set the owner to Eibon. With that done, he had officially given up his first set of armor he had made himself. Happy to see it go to a good home, he nodded and passed the items across the counter. "If you need any repairs or the axe needs sharpening, come in. I'll do it for you."

Wandering into the shop, Kain smiled and looked around. It was happen stance to hear from an old friend from his time in the Town of Beginnings. Kain knew Nikodemus better than most. He had found the man and nursed him back to a semblance of health. He had found the poor fellow curled up in a ball outside of a shop. Worried for the man, Kain took him in and took care of him for a time and helped him regain a bit of his former self. Nikodemus left shortly after, madder than a hatter, but of no risk to anyone. When Kain had seen the private message from Nikodemus almost a year later, he was both surprised and happy to hear the man was ok. He'd always assumed the man had run afoul of someone or something when he stopped being seen around town.

 

Looking around, Kain was amazed at the large amount of weapons and armor the man had made. He had made something of himself in this world, and seemed to be doing well. This warmed Kain's heart. Speaking clearly, he called out for his friend. "Hello, Nikodemus? Where are you? Took me near forever to find this place. Had to ask 10 different people on 3 different floors. You said you had something for me." Laying his hands on the counter, Kain waited with a smile on his face.

Hearing the chime ring, Nikodemus began heading towards the stairs. He had been enjoying a meal and going through the latest SAO Guide book the info brokers had handed out with the info about the floor 17 boss. As he began to descend the wooden stair, he heard the familiar voice of a man he had known for quite a while. Kain had been his rescuer and bednurse for quite a while while Nikodemus was lost within the horrors of his own mind. When he finally regained himself, with Kain's help, he had sworn to pay back that debt, and more. Now he felt he was able to do so.

 

Descending fully, Nikodemus cleared his throat to announce his presence. "I'm right here Kain. Just breaking bread and doing some light reading old friend." Embracing the man in a hug, Nikodemus smiled and then patted the mans shoulders. "Glad to see my message found you well. Still built like a Panzerkampfwagen I see." Smiling, Nikodemus moved behind the counter and began to rummage around. Grabbing a particular bundle, he stood straight and laid it upon the counter. Removing the cloth wraps around the bundle, Nikodemus revealed a set of armor, a shield, and a large Warhammer.

 

"This is what I called you here for Kain. I made these for you. A kind of thank you for the time you spent nursing my mental burdensome self back to health. Don't try to argue or anything. Your not leaving here without them. They're a gift, not a payment." Nikodemus knew the man would try to argue and refuse the gift, but he was stubborn and would win out against Kain's determination. The man was a kind man and would do nothing to hurt a friend, whether that meant physically or emotionally. Activating the <<Store Menu>> in his HUD, Nikodemus set the owner of the items to Kain and then slide the items across the table and closed his HUD. "Here is to seeing you on the front lines some day soon friend. Just look for the armored giant with a big axe in rusted looking armor. You wont miss me." Smiling, Nikodemus helped Kain get the things re-bundled and walked him to the door. "Don't be a stranger. Feel free to come in anytime, even to just chat."

Seeing the bundle being unwrapped before him, Kain's breath caught in the back of his throat. With a start, he took the large ornate hammer in his hand and hefted it up. Stepping back, he gave it a couple of test swings and felt the weight of the weapon and how it moved with him. Happy, he set it down and smiled, his eyes becoming glassy with tears. "Thank you so much my Nikodemus. I will not refuse this gift. Thank you old friend! Thank you!" With that, Kain hugged the large smith and prepared for departure. Packing the items in his inventory, he then wave goodbye and left the shop.

With his forge ready, Nikodemus began crafting. the first items were bad qaulity, and he chucked them for recycling. the next items were better. he a nice spear and a curved sword, as well as a good shield. Then, he began to forge better items. One was a dagger ordered by a customer. he made it following the order to the exact detail. then he made a new shield, made of exquisit metals. Next was a pair of gauntlets that could split wood and stone with a few strikes, made much like a siege ram. Then he forged a nice Katana that had a subtle curve to it, taking time with the wrapping, menuki, hamon, and etching the tsuba. With the items made, he went to have them evaluated.

Kekoa had never visited the seventh floor before this, but it certainly wasn't the friendliest place. All of its walls looked the same, and with every turn Kekoa made deeper in to the depressing floor, it seemed he was just going in circles. Monotony would be the key word for this floor's layout. He had just started to turn back when he noticed the sign. <<The Cracked Crucible>> the notification read, once the boy peered closer. He jumped up and down with a huge smile. He was more relieved that he wouldn't have to traverse the blackened walls than anything else, but of course, he was more than happy to see Nikodemus again. He ran over to the smithing shop and whipped open the door. "Nuiko! Nuiko!! It's Kekoa--!" He cried out with a smile. He took the nearest available seat and tried to contain his smile. He had actually been invited here. He felt so cool.

Hearing the auto-chime of his door being opened through the HUD, Nikodemus looked up from the finishing table he sat at in the forge behind his shop. Just beyond the small wooden door that seperated the two, Nikodemus could hear a familiar voice and smiled. Standing, Nikodemus set down the items he was working on, a small dagger and a pair of armored greaves, and took off the large leather gloves he wore to protect his hands from the open flames. Wearing his normal tunic, a black and grey affair over matching breeches with a leather apron handing around his waist with a pouch of tools along the front, Nikodemus exited his forge and entered the shop. With a white cloth, he rubbed his hands free of the grime and soot of the forge and then set it on a table near the counter. His short brunette hair and long beard were both left free of ties, and his icy blue eyes were behind small wire-framed spectacles. Seeing the young man whom he had come to know through a few quests, Nikodemus smiled slightly and gave a curt nod.

 

"Willkommen to Mein shop Herr Kekoa. Glad you could make it. How may I be of assistance?"
