Miaki watched Kane intiate, drawing the <> attention. Haine rushed in to attack but somehow missed her attack. Miaki hnew he had to follow up while the bull was still focused on Kane. Rushing forward he shouted, "Haine! Back away!" Sword in hand he sprinted forward towards his target. Closing in on massive beast, Miaki held his blade close behind him as it started to glow bright silver he shouted as he used <> a simple charging attack for opponents at a short distance. Making contact, Miaki's blade dug into the digital bull. Watching the health bar drop Miaki smiled with determination. "CRIT! Kane. Switch!" He jumped back allowing Kane to make the next move.

Kane grinned as Miaki's blade tore through the Bull's flank. It snorted and roared as Miaki passed, and Kane knew that he had to re-focus the beast's attention quickly. Stepping just to the right of the bull's throat, he began charging up a Sword Skill: <>, a targeted attack that was meant to do damage, and clip off one of the Bull's horns. His sword glowed a vivid green as he swung his blade left, then right.

SLASH! SHIIING!

Kane danced in front of Miaki, <>ing with him and hitting the monster twice, the last blow chipping off one of the immense creature's horns. It flew off, then dissipated as the beast roared with pique.

The Bullbous Bow was not terribly pleased by this turn of events; it snorted furiously, then turned and dashed off between Miaki and Kane, attempting to -literally- bullrush Haine as he made space for his ram attack!

(Rolled a 1. Lol!)

Unfortunately for the boss, he hadn't built up much momentum, and he was missing a horn. He missed Haine by a wide margin, and actually tripped over one of his own hooves! Recovering swiftly, it turned to face the three adventurers, but its charging attack had been halted by its huge swing-and-miss.

Miaki watched Haine's attack miss for the second time. This was the frustrating part about the system. When it all came down to it, the system was run by numbers which were randomly generated. Miaki just hoped that the system played in their favor and started giving them more successful hits. Miaki charged his blade and flanked the bull while it was still distracted. With any luck, he'd go two for two with his attack. Sure enough, Miaki's attack struck true as his blade sunk into the bull's flesh. He ran around keeping in the bull's blind spot hoping it wouldn't aggro him.

Kane kept himself squarely between the eyes of the Bull. As it turned, he turned, not giving it a chance to turn and gut Miaki. He knew that the Bull didn't have any weak spots from the front, possessing a thick skull plate that it used to ram people with. From this position, Kane knew he could do something risky, and he hoped to get away with it. As the Bull lowered its head and charged him, Kane activated a countering skill, <>. Holding his sword with the flat of the blade facing the oncoming bull, he attempted to use the skill to flip the oncoming boss up and over his blade, onto its back.

Though it was risky, the move paid off dividends! The Bullbous Bow hit his blade and was carried by the momentum onto its back, receiving a nasty gash from the blade as it fell. It was now on its back, struggling to get up. "Now! Strike true!" Kane yelled.

(Boss' Turn)

The Bullbous Bow was surprised by the flipping maneuver... as surprised as the bestial AI could be, anyway. It flailed around on its back, all four hooves seeking purchase. As Kane was yelling to his allies to strike, he strayed into the range of the beast's flailing hooves, which swiped hard at him for his trouble.

The flailing hooves just missed Kane's head, causing him to back away out of range. The beast was still on its back, its belly exposed.

Haine watched as the beast battled with Miaki and Kane distracted it. It failed to attack Miaki and fell on its back with a thud. The teen took this wonderful opportunity to strike back at it. She drew her sword and ran towards the pull, deciding to attempt to stab it's stomach.

Result: 2 (MISS AGAIN .-. )

She sighed when the bull got loose and moved back up to its feet. She growled before moving back, watching Miaki go up next to attack. Haine was determined to get at least one hit!

Miaki saw Haine attack again but somehow the system once again registered it as a miss. Hang in there Haine! Don't let it get to you!"

Miaki loosened his wrist and readied his blade. The familiar glow signaled his sword art charging. When the moment felt right, built upon an instinct at getting the timing. Miaki jumped in the air using <> a jumping attack he titled himself.

"Kyaaaaaaaaaaa!!!"

Another large gash went through the boss as it started to recover from Kane's counter attack. Another crit! He could hardly believe it. Maybe somehow the system was granting these cries as a way of compensating for robbing Haine of attacks. Or maybe he was just full of it. Whatever the case may be, they had it down to half health. "Hang in there team! Were half way there! Your turn Kane! Watch it he's getting back up!"

Kane gritted his teeth, the beast rising to its hooves, flailing its head about in a fit of pique. His tactics had been working thus far, so he saw no need to change them. Keeping the boss squarely in his line of sight, Kane hefted his blade to the side, going through the correct motion to start the <> technique.

Once, twice, three times the crimson glow of his sword struck at the BullBous Bow, but its tough headplate kept absorbing them. Frustrated, Kane was frozen in place by the technique's cooldown when it ended.
