"What the heck..." the girl remarks to Simmone as she picks up her own tusk from the one that was hers, obviously miffed that her target, her only target was taken out by accident. A flash of blue begins and fades as the cardinal system replenishes the supply of creatures for the group to slay. Shiina darts behind Griswold eager to wait for the next weak enough for her to attack, and hopefully Simmone didn't kill this time. The big guy made a good wall, one she could turtle behind and wait. The boar mill about undisturbed, passively consuming the grass jutting from the ground under them unaware what was about to transpire. Shown upon his hammer with orange color as his sword art charges up, he rushes forward and with a heavy downward slam, the beast explodes from the impact. This reduces it to the shards of blue and to its destruction Griswold looks about hoping but was not too optimistic that one had dropped. The misfortune continues as there is no tusk for him to claim, and with a turn of his head with a grimace glare Griswold sizes up another lamb ripe for the slaughter as his patience was wearing thinner by the moment. The creatures, however, seem to be unphased and having been disturbed now, start to take a more warning huff and tap of the foot with preparation in a rebuttal. Shiina seems to be waiting for her to set another up for her. Simmone intended to do just that, a violet color to the blade focal on the tip and a quick couple jabs while sliding forward pivoting around Griswold and catching the beast as it retracts. With an extension of her arm cuts a portion of the second's health down for size. It was weaker for sure but it was still too healthy for Shiina to finish off. It would need another strike to be sure and Simmone would need another strike before it was ready. A glance to Shiina, she pays her a smile, a wink, and a word "I'll get you another one, just give me a moment child you'll have your kill yet." With a wave of her blade clearing the data and light clung to it. The first Griswold stops dead while the other screams past him. "Look out!" Griswold barks as Shiina turns and basically hip checks the beast, her plate armor doing an excellent job of protecting her. It moves through the attack and leaves her rather unscathed. Griswold sighs in relief as Shiina flashes him a thumbs up with a smile. A violet sheen tears up her point before focusing upon the point, dragging her hand along it to help it along. "Don't die on me now." Simmone remarks to the small beast as she stabs and retracts the blade in one fluid motion. Fluttering it with the inspection of the target shows it still has a sliver of health remaining. A sigh of relief to this fact, Simmone looks to Shiina "Your up dear, get that tusk!" a boost of confidence for the girl. Despite all the failed drops things seemed to be going rather well, as they could do this all day if they had to, but Simmone was aiming for much faster completion as she was growing tired of these things and wished to return before the other group but at this rate it may not be over before it became night. Shiin rushes forward hoping to make good on the effort, but manages to glance and softly pet the beast instead "OOF" Shiina exclaims having whiffed hard. Looking to Simmone who takes to a facepalm. The boars begin to circle around and halt with the stamping of feet. "oro..?" Shiina unintentionally lets fall from her mouth as they turn and glare at the party not happy with the disturbance and aggression. In its wake, another boar tusk lays at his feet, a small blessing and another step in the right direction. Griswold was not happy still, this was but one of quite a few that needed to be harvested still. Shifting next to Shiina and lifting his shield arm up in her defense, he was growing tired and more pissed with each passing second and it was beginning to show on his furrowed brow. A gleam of the still but orange turning light was present on the polished surface of the wall between him and the creatures. The impact from the little bugger had made her next target clear after all this other was Shiina's to finish which only left two options. The girl was starting to feel a bit like dead weight, these missions with quest based drops would surely be a pain in the neck with her lack of weapons. A charge forward Shiina manages to strike, and with an eye affixed to its HP bar watches it reduce ever so slightly. But it is not enough as the reduction halts with a sliver remaining and as such leaves, it standing. ID# 146493 results: Battle: 7, Hit vs. Boar Pup #3 While the attack connects it dwindles down with a pulse of the bleed and turns to data fragmenting to pieces moments after Shiina had struck it. The final remaining boar on its last legs struggles but starts to charge. Although it fumbles a bit, due to Simmone's distraction it slams into her and noticeably reduces her HP ever so slightly. She needed them in this weakened state if she had the hope of getting her own tusks and given it was the only target remaining his options were limited. Adjusting himself in case he was forced to another action. As if in response a flash of blue started to refill that which was active, casting silhouettes of the same creature. It breaks to reveal more of the same, giving ample targets for Griswold to complete his own task. Now he had a target, and an emboldened hammer of fire lit he aimed to make due. A silence shattering batter struck like lightning, his target: one of the beasts only managing to spawn in before being obliterated in the same light. Left in its wake in the cloud of produced tan dirt is a single and his last boar tusk. Taking a quick check of its HP bar shows that the attack leaves it within Shiina's lethal range but it would have to be fast. This was due to the fact her bleed had once again proc'd as well, which would surely kill the beast if the small girl was not mobile soon. Shouting out to Shiina "Get a move on, smack it before my status effect kills it." Simmone expresses with her blade swung to the side kicking the residue of light from it as her skill stasis started to sink in. Shuffling away from the beast as quick as she had set upon it, hoping to escape its wrath before it had a chance to do such a thing. Running up in a frenzy trying her best to land the final blow on the creature Simmone had so graciously set up for her. She approaches in a frenzy but the attack is off center. The slapping hand simply grazes it in an aggressive petting motion. Shiina screams in anguish "What, These guys suck so bad. Just get spanked bro!" taking a few more attempted swings without a connecting blow and uncharged by the cardinal system. The boar pup recluses and shifts back at each attempt as Shiina's cheek swell with her anger. Shiina Actives Concentration! As her rapier sinks into the tiny beast with an illuminated point like butter as it squeals. Retracting it with a trail of blue data from the reddened pinhole it had wrought, the creature's health dips down two thirds. One more strike would place it into Shiina's threat range which required Simmone one more attack without bleed procing and ruining the set up. This day was so very long and becoming taxing, they were surely not going to win this race it seemed as the sun started to take on a more bluish shade. At the very least Simmone hoped it would end before tomorrow. They can't compare to my dairy air!" taking a hand and slapping the armor covering her butt. Balling up a fist Shiina slides aside honing in on the one that was limping, and with a fall to one knee, a color faintly overtakes her hand as she cold clocks the beast. Its cheek presses inward with the punch as its face twists. "Falcon PAUNCH" Shiina says with a chuckle as the beast bursts to data. Scattering around in a crazy perusal of the ground looking for that coveted boar tusk drop. To no prevail, there was nothing for her to take. ID# 146507 results: Battle: 10, Major Critical! Her weapon tears her airborne and with a descending blow rips her to her chosen target causing dust to kick away in all directions. The bleed flashes and through the impact instantly proc to a burst of ichor in the wound, overtaking the area in a show of cracks upon its back as the veins light up. It pops into data leaving a boar tusk behind signaling the completion of Simmone's own requirement. With a sigh Simmone had wished to only liberate the beast enough for Shiina, looking to the girl and paying her a shrug. The task was proving more and more difficult as Shiina still remained without a single tusk while the others had finally finished their own lists. It was all on Shiina now, and it seemed the task would require a different approach. A pause as Shiina follows behind the others as they retract, Griswold and Gaius already waiting on the sidelines. Griswold his hand on his face with exhaustion pressing in due to the sheer passage of time, Gaius now the fourth roll of bread in watching on and laughing occasionally as if his meal was supplemented with the show. It was clear they were getting nowhere and a breather or a change in the course attempted was called for. A moment to think about it would be useful, and behind them, the flash of lights as the cardinal refills the zone with more mobs but they were outside the aggro radius. Looking to Simmone as she beckons to the girl, her idea begins to build in her head with a moment to think now available with the distance built. Your hand simply is not cutting it, the rest of us are done, and setting them up for you is far too difficult." Simmone explains as it was hopefully clear the girl would have to learn to use this sword on the fly. Thankfully the cardinal system would do most of the work. The items now in her grasp, it was up to the girl now to finish this out as Simmone would be nothing more than basically cheering her own with the others from this point. Nudging her toward the grazing boar pups after adjusting the silver rapier in her hands, as her grip is wrong. "Hold it with one hand, and shove the sharp end in straight and you'll be fine. Keep in mind if you dig it in just right you may proc the bleed and it will do the rest." "Wow, you really like cats." Shiina exclaims having never noticed how cat themed her stuff was. Simmone pays her a chuckle "Something like that, now it is on you dear. Get those tusks." Shiina takes them in hand and twirls it around like a baton for a moment, dropping it before clambering to pick it back up from the ground. "Sorry." Shiina shouts and salutes Simmone with a false glare on her face, her war face. Gaius shouts in disagreement while Griswold says over him in a booming voice from somewhere deep in his chest. "Get them girl, you can do this. Don't pay this idiot any mind, just believe in yourself." this notion is further cemented as Simmone offers a similar response "Just let the weapon help you, it is much easier than it looks. No need to be afraid, just try and it will be over before you know it." Gaius picks himself up of the ground and taps himself down and glares at Griswold for a moment before climbing back onto his perch. "Yeah do it or whatever, just smack them good. No point in freaking out over it, or thinking about it." Shiina turns away from them a bit more fueled by the confidence of the group, ready to make good on their faith. She closes her eyes and is a limp doll on the ride. Shiina feels herself come to a stop, and opening her eyes slowly she finds the weapon had flowed true to her intended target. "Take that." Shiina whispers in a smart quip, still uncomfortable completely as she pulls the weapon out and watches the damage play upon the creature's HP bar. "See, easier than it looks isn't it." Simmone remarks trying further cement a sense of confidence in the girl. At her back, Gaius claps a bit sarcastically, before biting into another food from his inventory in his unceasing hunger. Griswold pushes him off the rock again, as he was being an *** and Griswold was not afraid to put him in his place with a smile as he falls.
