Dropping like a missile as soon as Freyd pulls the dudes attention, it riddles and rocks the guys frame like a tin can. The helm on his head is clipped in half, the blow forces a gust of wind, the polearm finds purchase between its armor and shows a spray of red. Holding fast on the guys massive shoulders, Gaius pushes the polearm deeper and deeper forcing the guy into anguish as it reaches for the now mounted male. "Fuck you and your bull shit armor, like I said." he barks with a twist of the glaive forcing some of it to show through the front. "I just to need to hit you harder, then it don't mean shit." It was surprising that the guy managed to stay standing, but as expected given some of these were of much higher level, but Gaius didn't give a fuck at all. The bigger they are...

Keeping toe to toe with Freyd was not easy, and the girl struggled to maintain the same rhythm. It was clear that with time she may just be able to match it, but her inability shows, connecting with a harder part of armor before Gaius slams against the top like a bullet. The pressure causes her hair to flutter about aggressively, and she is blinded from it. Not good enough she thinks with a tussle of her hand, shaking free the static that riddled throughout her arm from the failed strike. Kasumi shifts back and away, sliding her feet and charging again more of the last bit of stamina she had left. Pushing her limits and keeping up with those of much larger levels was taxing, but she'd burn the candle until it was entirely empty. To prove to herself that she deserved to be out here making a difference.

The whisper had softened its armor, and Gaius had made it a method to break tons of it off with one driving blow. A sprint and cleave albeit slower given charge was not active, he burns a scar through the bare chest over Kasumi's head. "Keep it up, its almost done." Raidou remarks to them all, a way of bolstering courage before raising his steel to stop an incoming blow aimed for both he and his cousin. "Your doing well, proving me wrong." He looks to her out of the corner of his eye, shifting Auric Sol to let the weapon slide off and off center. A path taken she'd more than did more than he could have hoped she would, her and Gaius both are leagues beyond his projections. This brought into question the others within the hall and where they were on their journey. "Let's finish this." Spoken as he drives the yellowed blade through the knight's sternum.

As his allies harried the primordial knight from the front and sides, Freyd let loose upon it from the rear.  Multiple, repeated blows chipped, then cracked and finally shattered its armored carapace.  A giant ball of roiling super-heated gas spilled out and threated to wash over him.  Just as the core was about to muck up his face, the entire mobs shattered and burst into orangey-red fractal shards that melted away as soon as they hit the ground.  They had done it.

"Excellent work, and good effort on everyone's part."  He nodded to Gaius and Kasumi, acknowledging their roles.  Raidou would neither need, nor seek, the recognition.  "I still have many such maps for locations scattered throughout the forest.  If you ever wish to test your strength again, just let me know."

The sun was setting over the Forest of Memories, one more was now added to the wood's count.  Gaius and Kasumi had breached a threshold today, forging ahead in teamwork and overwhelming past shortcomings.  An inkling of discipline had shone in the former.  Self-confidence and the flame of determination were kindled in the latter.  It was a good day.
