She spoke towards the bear, her eyes now turning a dark red color from the negativity she held in her mind. She disliked the bear so much now, that she felt she just HAD to hit it this round. Running forward towards him she attempted to strike once more at the bear. Wanting to hit the bear and make it pay what what it did to her friend. She managed to hit the bear, doing 9 DMG to it. A smirk across her face. She was happy to avenge her friend that somehow-- she felt more feeling for her then 'friend' it was strange to her... To feel something more then she seemed to used to feel for Dirgun. What was it? She couldn't and wouldn't know... Having no idea seemed to scare her, though she continued to Run back to Hikari to manage to pick her up and get her out of the bad situation. "I--I got you!" She spoke softly. Then being able to return to her stance in the battle field. BD: 8 + 2 (Item) = 9 - Can't make it a crit. With a snarl marking its beastly features, the Grizzly Bear charged towards the bluenette that just attacked it, hoping to slash her apart into tiny little bits. Combat Dice - 2 - Fail! - no damage to Ruri The claws were dodged swiftly and skillfully, as no hits at all landed on the bluenette. Giving another mighty roar, the beast changed its position yet again, this time hoping to be able to dodge an attack from Ruri... but once again, the AI completely neglected a certain silvonde (OOC: Silver+blonde! The boar was in perfect position to strike, her blade cocked to the side, it began to glow a dark purple as the "Linear" skill was charging, waiting to be released on the enemy or at least fling Hikari far enough to defend Ruri. Combat Dice - 3 - Fail! - no damage The move missing the bear that sensed it a few moments ahead, Hikari was flung by the skill to Ruri's general position, rolling to cancel out her momentum and get back on her feet. "Sorry I'm late, my flight had a little too much turbulence..." Cracking a small joke at this moment, Hikari let herself get closer to Ruri while still giving her space to charge, hoping to use her shield to block any attacks. "It's been a beary nice time we had here." She snarled darkly before moving forward a bit forward in a lunge and hoping to hit the scull as she attempted to attack the bear now in arms-reach. This time it had been a miss, the bear dodging her attack as she was flung back suddenly. Landing against a tree. feeling the tree against her back, her eyes grew wide. "D--Damnit..." She spoke softly her eyes turning back to its original blue color as she lay there. She disliked the feeling of failing. "D--Damn you..." She spoke again towards the bear not wanting to fail in front of Hikari, it had been embarrassing! Turning to Hikari this time, the bear charged at her to pounce, just as it had done to Ruri before. Combat Dice - 9 - Crit! - 3 Damage to Hikari - 2 DST from armor - 1 DST from shield - 2 DST from armor skill (boosted by shield) = no damage taken The claws of the bear bounced right off the silvonde's armor, her body spinning as the pair of wings on her shoulders extended to repel the attack away, giving her the appearance of a metallic angel. Spinning now as a ballerina, Hikari released the wings and flung them towards the bear, blocking its attack. "Think you're tough, huh? I'll teach ya..." Stopping the rotation, the wings again snapped into place as shoulder guards, the cold steel rubbing against her naked left shoulder. A small twist later, and her weapon was perfectly positioned for an uppercut. Jumping up, Hikari attempted to make her sword slash the enemy's skull apart. Combat Dice - 5 - Fail! - no damage Doing the same as before, the bear simply swung its claw above itself to defend against the attack, sending Hikari over to the same direction as Ruri. "Ugh... damn it... Are you okay, Ruri?" She hadn't lost any health yet, but she was clearly exhausted. Getting up quickly, Hikari extended a hand out to Ruri. "Can you stand? Come on, this thing's being way too annoying..." Waiting just for the bluenette to grab her hand, Hikari looked out to the bear that was still attempting to turn to them. She spoke again before managing to grab her hand and getting lifted up seeing the angel made her a bit happy. "T--Thank you..." She spoke softly before narrowing her eyes towards her foe and quickly lunging forward towards it. "DAMN YOU BEAR." She spoke a bit angrily wanting to kill it as fast as possible. The glittering blade pointing towards the bear's scull as she sprinted forward. Once more she failed, being sent back by the claw and being hit against the ground. Being thrown about was horrible. She grumbled multiple cuss words under her breath not wanting to ever see the bear again. Now it was her enemy when just a few seconds ago, it had been her best friend... The bear jumped as it gained speed from its dash and attempted to land on Ruri, though unexpectedly, a shadow came from the side, carrying with her a huge wingspan... Combat Dice - 5 - no damage to Hikari A back faced to it, the wings deflected the claws and protected the party perfectly. The figure turning around, her wings disappeared into her body, forming a small triangular indent on her shoulders. "Let's see how you like this!" Readying her blade in front of her, Hikari looked like a true knight at this moment, her eyes closed, her blade ready, she uttered simple words... "O brilliant blade of coldest steel..." Before charging immediately for the downed bear. Battle Dice - 3 - Fail! - no damage The charge was interrupted by the bear lunging at Hikari, parrying the sword away and with it, the technique. "Switch!" "D--D--DAMNIT BEAR..." She spoke with anger inside not wanting to see him alive anymore. Her blade slowly raising towards the bear as she got in arms reach. She had attempted to attack, but to her it felt like no use anymore, tripping over a twig as she fell on her face in arms reach of the bear now. Muttering even more cuss words as she facepalmed the ground. Face first now looking at the ground. "D--D---damn.." She spoke knowing that the bear was far to powerful now. She could never hit it again. As far as she knew anyway. Its claws sharper than ever, the grizzly bear aimed for the bluenette and pounced, only to see a silver flash coming from below it. Combat Dice - 6 - 2 Damage to Ruri But it wasn't fast enough, the bear's claws dug into the bluenette's skin and flesh, creating a red gash on her skin. "DAMN YOU! YOU'RE GONNA PAY FOR THAT, SHITHEAD!" Malice heard in the silvonde's voice, a clear cuss was shouted in anger at the bear... Thrusting the pommel of the sword into the enemy, Hikari kicked it away and charged, looking to slash it a million times for hurting Ruri. "It's time!" The blade shimmering in the now clear weather, it appeared to glow a bright white as it was swung towards the bear. Battle Dice - 1 - Epic Fail! - no damage The blade blocked by the bear's steel-strong claws, they were both at a stand-off, neither could make the other move. Thrusting her sword forward, Hikari knocked the bear away and quickly jumped back, immediately trying to swing her blade... which was again blocked by the claw. "Ruri, we can do this! Finish it off!" Her face torn with anger, she wanted to finish this bear off as soon as possible, continuing to meet her blade to its claws to distract it. Though she knew she would fail, she attempted to hit the creature. "YOU." She spoke though was cut off by attempting to attack. Once again she had missed. "[censored] BEAR!!" She spoke slightly growling at the creature. She hated it. She didn't even finish her sentence. But she knew that she was going to get attacked, once more. "Where the hell do you think you're going?! Your battle's with me, asshat! Sensing the hate emanating from this one, the bear quickly attempted to slash her away so it could go for the bluenette. Combat Dice - 6 - Success - 2 Damage to Hikari -5 total DST = 0 damage dealt The hit being blocked by the same shield as before made the bear jump back in frustration before emitting a mighty roar that pierced the ears of everyone around. "It'll take more than that to discourage me!" A smirk now appearing on the silver one's face, the bear glared at her with its glowing red eyes filled with hatred. "Ruri, as long as I'm on it, it won't reach you, you have nothing to be afraid of!" Growling and encouraging scream at Ruri, Hikari swung back and uttered the words... "Give me strength..." A now expressionless face looking at the bear, Hikari held her sword back before lunging at the bear for a series of slashes. Combat Dice - 3 - Fail! - no damage The slashes being blocked one by one, Hikari knew this would be useless, but she continued to distract the bear. "I'll never let you hurt her again! I'll keep it at bay, Ruri, attack it with all you've got!" Snarling at the beast and prompting Ruri to attack, Hikari continued keeping her speed up with the bear's, distracting it and generating enough Hate to keep it away from Ruri. Managing to attack her opponent, she saw it's health go down majorly. It now in the red zone. "Y---Yesss!" Ruri spoke before spinning in a circle and returning to Hikari's side. Knocking Hikari away a bit, the bear charged at Ruri, only to be kicked away by the same person it knocked away itself just mere moments ago. "Oh, no way in hell, you're getting to her, buddy..." A smirk appearing on the human's face, it shouted another comment at the bear that could not understand her. "You're dead, buddy!" The bear charged at the growl, attempting to smash Hikari into the ground. Combat Dice - 2 - no damage on Hikari The rage-filled sloppy body slam was completely avoided as Hikari twirled around the bear, readying her sword in the meanwhile, a new smirk appearing on her face. Now swinging around the boar, Hikari knew the hits would be blocked, but she had to get it off now so Ruri would have enough time. "Rend the infinite darkness..." The incantation continued as the blocked hits continued faster and faster... "And crush my enemy to nothing!" Stopping suddenly, Hikari signaled Ruri to attack with her. "SAVAGE WOLF FURY!" Jumping over the enemy, Hikari dived behind it, distracting it long enough for Ruri to finish it off. "Ruri, NOW!" The signal given, Hikari just had to wait until... Her piercing red eyes looking at the bear, and she jumped at the bear aiming for the skull of the damned thing. The silver bladed katana attempting to hit the bear. As she jumped at the bear she managed the kill, the bear dissipating into thousands of small crystals and hexagons. Ruri falling from the jump she made as she had landed in Hikari's arms. "I... did it.." she spoke softly before looking at the spot the bear had once been. "Yeah... I knew you could do it, Ruri..." A gentle smile appearing on her face, she brought Ruri closer to her and gave her a tight hug. "I'm glad you're safe..." Letting Ruri stand on her own, Hikari picked up her sword and sheathed it before turning again to the bluenette. "Did it drop anything?" Seeing a chest on the ground where the bear had once been, Hikari went before it and knelt down to lift the cover up, hopefully finding something useful... «Event Boss Loot Chest» >1-4: The chest contains no mats. 5-8: The chest contains three materials. 9-13: The chest contains four materials. 14-17: The chest contains five materials 18-19: The chest contains six materials. 20: The chest contains ten materials. Opening the chest simply revealed a lone silver colored teddy bear with a pink bow on its head and a cute cyan coat. "Hey, Ruri, look at this!" Calling the bluenette over, Hikari inspected the bear's description. Name: Bear-chan Type: Fashion Accessory Quality: Unique Description: A silvery white stuffed bear wearing a cyan coat and a pink bow.
