Such a simple thing, a continued reaerating visit to these complacent looking sands. The method mirrored those of numerous times before, yet this place served as a cross roads to a myriad of paths that went by undenounced to those that frequented this beach. Until now, where the most frequent visitor was now a certain gaggle of repeating personalities that followed nigh aimless in the white haired footsteps that always started the escapade. The shock of the waves pushing bubbles up the shore that quickly disperse into the darkened wet sand. A roar of them trickled on the ears in an endless white noise, that if one shut their eyes it would convey the feeling of reality. Decently kept, mainly out of a necessity to maintain a sense of order and consistency. Sitting with the vague outline as it drifts aimlessly and without purpose. The leaves that find themselves trapped in it turning blueish as they become more rigid, the temperature drop simulating an early winter. The cross wrapped handle of a weapon hung tight to her skin, pressed against her back despite its length. Purple strands ripped across it in a network of overlapping lines, topped with a singular brass cap and a dangling string. The sheathe a cool grey, simple yet functional. Across her body is a functional ninja garb in darker blues with purple accents, the main one being the long purple scarf wrapped around her neck that a matching mask has been pulled up from to cover the lower half of her face. The plant life scrambles as she pushes through, from the shade into the sunlight. The singular mallet attached to chain in his right hand, spinning out of habit as he'd shift his wrist and release letting it twirl. The chain wrapped around his right wrist crinkles and rattles as it does, drooping slightly across the gauntlet its sits atop. In the other, a large slab of standard steel with a gleam to it with care. A shield that matched the tower, a barricade to block an assault of his size and caliber. The juggernaut's footsteps find him making purchase into the sands one after another in glorious thuds, a mountain on the move. Gaius 0 Posted June 16 #5 Share Posted June 16 The man was so borderline basic, a simple jacket and a pair of pants that screamed jeans. The cloth jacket a sharp reddish maroon, the sleeves rolled up to expose tan skin. A messy mop of beige hair, almost unkempt yet drawn back into a ponytail. It would almost appear like a samurai hairstyle if it wasn't as ragged and the bare minimum. At least it was clean and his clothes despite their wrinkles from laying all over his floor were as well. A longer pike like polearm in his grasp, a black handle and a vibrant silver point. Gold bands break it up as it flows away from the tip, and the thing is easily 7ft in length, long and slender. Its slung across his back, the midpoint behind his neck as the two ends sit limply on his shoulders. A collar that did not quite reach the shoulders as black belt wraps around her waist before meeting in the middle with a golden metal buckle. A white jacket that loosely hangs on the arms with red folded over the ends of the sleeves. Red flames edged on the skin that was visible as a red choker and a gem that lay between her collar bones. A cleaver held in her right hand, as long red hair that dances calmly in the breeze. Small strands of braids drip over the shoulder blades as those bangs lay neatly across the forehead outlining either side of the cheeks. One side would cover her left eye like a patch but could be seen through. The hair on the backside of the head would appear as wild flames, short but to the point. Expecting was a more accurate term, the little warriors knew what the day would be but only half way. Eyes peer to the waters that washed up the beachfront, raising her right hand. With a snap, the ground begins to shake as the sands part ways from one another. Within that crater the large crab crawls out, liquid dripping from the shell. There was a glimmer against the armor as the early sun shines upon the frame. Seeing the party speeding past Morrighan, they were ready for this. His weapon starts to pulse but not what he was used to seeing. Shrugging his shoulders as winds begin to form around his feet. Instead of a tornado this time, a wind tunnel is created right toward the creature. Brionac was almost pulling him in, it was like the damn thing was willing him to go through. “Ok, I’m going,” saying as he steps forward, almost gliding through the air at high speeds. Pushing the pointed end in front of him as it pierces through the flesh just under the shell. “Starting out strong I see, let's do this,” as he pulls out, the blood starts to splatter but then turns to a ice formation in mid air, he decides to back up to make room. There was only one person on this team that could do something like that, he did not want to get in her way. Leaving a white mist in her trail as she rushes toward the creature. The moment Gaius pulls his weapon, liquid comes out and freezes solid before it suddenly shatters. It is replaced by a large pulsing gash that starts turning into ice. On the other side of the crap, she is holding the hilt in one hand and the other palm laying on the flat on the weapon sheath. Inhaling, she vanishes from view. One thing she has learned, never be the target, only the hunter. If they could not see her then they couldn’t make an easy target out of her. Perching on a tree branch, leaves blocking their view from her. She would wait for the next opportunity to strike before moving forward again. Pulling his large towering shield up as he starts swinging the chain. On the other end of this chain his blacksmithing hammer. It had many uses but when he was out here in the open it was used as a weapon. When he could feel the even tug inside the circle, he jerks his arm forward sending the hammer outward. It smashed against the ice that was starting to form, shattering it creating a large round impact mark against its flesh that looked nice and red. Twisting the chain around his arm as the tool leaves drag marks in the sands. Unraveling the chain as metal on metal clanks against each other. He picks up the hammer after roping the metal around his wrist once. He was standing a few yards away, knowing that he needed the distance and today he was not acting as the tank. The mark on the flesh looked bruised that was colored black and blue, as she got closer there was a small amount of mist coming from inside the wound. Her walking became running, turning into a slide as she carves deep within the gashes that already resided there. The crab rears back in agony scampering a few steps away from them all. It was clear the creature was on their last limbs. Raidou was the only one that had not attacked yet, she would look forward to seeing the last hits of this thing. Stepping back watching the crap almost walking back from her, was that fear that she saw. That was not supposed to happen. Nisahime was a weird person if you could even call her that. Every time that woman was around there was always something mysterious that fell on their lap. This next place, she just knew that it was going to be ape shit crazy in some way shape or form. Raidou 1 Posted June 16 #12 Share Posted June 16 Pulling up his blade, the creature was showing a bit of emotion which made no sense to him, they were not supposed to do that. Like a switch the crap started charging at his friends. Lifting that sword, he pulls back and stabs right through the flesh. It stops moving, his sword was long enough that it nicked its spine creating a temporary relapse of movement. Putting that weapon out, there were sparks being fabricated as it dragged the tip of the shell. Pivoting his feet, if it tries it again, he would be ready. Repositioning himself, he was so close to the critter, if it moved it would fall. He was proud to see everyone working together in some way. Seeing them all come so far and dodge a massive amount of obstacles. Every single one of these people had changed in some way and all for the greater good. Glancing back at the crab, shaking his head a bit. He pushed his frames back up the bridge of his nose. Starting to focus again, it wasn’t over yet. They were in for a treat, there was so much that this group doesn’t know about where they are about to end up. Like the time before this there is no method to Morrighan’s madness, just pure fun on her part. There was just something about watching this group. So much emotion, feeling and expression, they are not the only ones that have learned a thing or two. Morrighan folds her arms across her chest, watching the warriors do new moves and attempt the impossible, it was rather intriguing. As much as Morrighan wanted to give them advice, but there really wasn’t anything to give them. Day after day they prove themselves, it brings joy to the figurative nerves in her fragmented formed body. That is was he liked seeing, a whirlwind blasts upward and with it so did he. Pulling Brionac, it makes a small chime letting him know that it was ready to do its thing. A simple nod as throws it with everything he had toward the crab. Shifting his body making the dive toward his weapon, taking it into his grasp as they start swirling downward. Drilling into the shell, the creature shrieks before exploding into nothing and his tip hits the ground with a huge burst. As it begins to clear she could see turtles start to come up the hole that Gaius created. Something seemed different about them though, they started pushing their necks out and snapping at nothing. Sending a message to Raidou to confirm their location. She didn’t want to give away her position for obvious reasons. She saw Raidou read it as he started pointing them out to the others. Pulling out a cloth, she cleans her blade off while keeping the other eye on her team. If another threat popped up, she would wreak havoc on them. Until then she would wait, patience was a major part of the game she played. Observing the target until enough information was given them death. Setting the cloth back into a satchel, eyes turn to the group. Any sign of hand waving her that way, she would be there in a heartbeat or sooner. They try to snap at his feet with no break through, he almost felt sorry for what he was about to do. Putting his arm out that held the hammer and chain, he drops it on top of the pile. The other two were hanging out just up what would seem like a mountain top to small creatures. He begins to think about his daughters, how he has not actually seen or talked to them in a long while. He didn’t even know what they have been up to, did they get married without him. No that would be foolish, thinking as he glances at Raidou then Gaius who was climbing up the crevasse. They wouldn’t do that, he shakes his head to wipe the thought out of his head. Eruda barely came to the guild hall anymore and even though Freya was sorta nearby she never comes to visit. Maybe he would have to plan something for a sooner rather than later date. She was getting very annoyed that they were just standing there staring at her with their beady little eyes. Pure anger flows out of her as she jumps toward them and just starts jumping repeatedly. Even after the first time her feet touched the ground she could feel them pop under her feet. The rage kept her stomping up and down. After a few seconds she stopped as Gaius’s hand was laying at the top of the hole while staring up. “What? They pissed me off,” starting to walk off. “Stupid bobble head mother fuckers,” saying under her breath walking past Raidou. The mumbling continues, it really didn’t take much to piss her off. Finally stopping, she turns to look at the group who were shrugging their shoulders in confusion, she chose to ignore it. That meant to him that either there was nothing or the critters were coming from a different location. Surveying the area, he saw movement in the tree line. As they got closer to the group, “Rats, heading our way from the foliage.” They seemed to be heading directly for the biggest man on the team. They all attempted to bite at Griswolds feet but he seemed to be doing a fair job at lifting those huge legs every time a strike was taken. Raidou was less concerned with this and more interested in where Nisahime would be bringing them today. The location was always different and the creature came in a weird form most of the time. The woman hadn’t really spoken a whole lot today, it made him wonder if she did have a motive today or if she was just observing them today again. Maybe it was fun for her, could very well just be that she enjoyed their company. Eyeing the woman, she looked very calm at the moment, even had a smile painted across her face. It started to act as quicksand that was caving inside itself. Quickly crawling up, his feet find solid and not moving ground. Seeing the Rats hovering around his soon to be father in law, that was so weird to think about. Attempting to poke the fuckers, they were way to fast for hit liking. This was not what he was good at. Give him a single large target and he would get the job done, he literally just proved that. Hand him a bunch of tiny shits, he could spend all day trying to catch them and would still have no luck. At least with fishing, the things stayed still for a second or two just enough for capture. These crazy sporadic little critters were not his forte, realizing that this attempt and failure was not showing the big man any worth, but he wasn’t sure that he cared either. He loved his daughter and there was nothing that Griswold could say or do to make that feeling change. Only mist could be seen to trail her location, or at least where she was not where she is currently standing. Approaching the tiny targets that the man was having trouble catching. Her Katana comes out swiftly with a small gleam and before anything of her presents could be seen, she was already gone. Ice started to form under the creatures with a sudden burst of exactly half. Mist fills the area around, She wound up near the tree line again. It was the only real cover from them all. “three gone, three remain,” saying in the smallest of voices in almost a whisper. Nisahime seemed to be looking right at her. How was she able to do that, most of the time if not all the time her location was hidden. So how was it possible that this woman was looking right at her like she knew exactly where she was.
