Morrighan was sitting on a beach chair, it was the length of her legs. They folded against one another, a line swished into the lake water with a -plunk-. The silence was peaceful, Morrighan would enjoy it while she could. The ice princess was hanging around in the trees, she could feel eyes at her back. Not really staring daggers, just curiosity from the girl. The cold one didn’t talk very much, that was okay, she still had some growing to do. The waves would rise then fall seconds later, seagulls heard above them. There was something about today that was different, she had a feeling that most of the group would be showing up together today. A smile peers across her lips, family makes you stronger in more ways than one. Raidou 1 Posted June 20 #2 Share Posted June 20 Stepping down the stairs, he could hear chattering in the kitchen. They had company last night, he wondered if they ever actually slept. Smelling something delicious as he steps into the room, finding Eruda and Freya cooking together. It was way too early to meet the others at the beach, this was going to be nice. The other two come downstairs yawning, they all sit at the table. Nice conversations, there was not fighting, just smiling and laughing from the girls. He wraps his arms around Eruda’s waist from behind, whispering in her ear, “We have to go, I love you.” She returns the hug with a smile and a kiss. Raidou goes upstairs to change and gather some things before the guys walk out together. It was early the O&I team had been quiet for the moment. They might have been gathering intel on another lead. This was something that she was being constantly invited to. At the very least it was keeping her busy. Watching the white haired female in the distance, fishing of all things. Not something she thought she would see being here so early. Shaking her head, sheather her sword. Getting up, she was going to scout the area around to make sure nothing was going to join the fight that was soon to come. Heading up to the room he stayed in, he gathered his things and went downstairs. Eruda and Freya were waiting at the bottom, they both grabbed him into a giant hug, he wrapped his massive arms around them,”Thank you girls, I needed this.” Closing his eyes for a moment to enjoy it. Releasing them, he starts twisting the chain around his arm. Walking out with Raidou with a smile on his face as he equips his armor. Today was going to be like the last few, unexpected. Nisahime would bring them to the unknown and they would fight until it was over. He would return to his shop and hammer away on the anvil til night fall, sleep then do it all over again. Last night is what made these days not seem like a repeat. Holding her up with his arms, “I’ll meet you at home, yea.” Freya nods her head as she lowers her feet to the ground, placing her head on his shoulders. There wasn’t anything that was needed upstairs for him. His weapon appeared on command and his armor engulfs his frame before battle starts so he was set. Releasing Freya after kissing her on the head, the twins began to clean up the mess. Walking out now with the other two, he could hear the girls giggling as the door shuts lightly behind him. Eruda had it good here, he really hoped that Freya wasn’t going to expect him to buy something like this. It seemed like she was happy where she was, he was sure that there was nothing to worry about. Getting to the proper floor, the other two were already standing there. All but one, the flames head was more irritated than normal. “This should be interesting,” saying as she feels a tug on the fishing pole. “WOAH NELLY!,” shouting out as she yanks hard and just like that the grab comes flying out of the water. Crashing to the ground, Morrighan gets up from her chair and makes it vanish. This day was going to be like the past few times. There was nothing that she really wanted at the moment. This was a chance to watch them, make sure they were not going to break at the smallest things. To understand how they worked there had to be trials of stressful actions. Today was going to be one of those tests, they would have to prove to themselves to not only her but to themselves. Twisting his sword around, bashing the shell against his hilt. He then pulls his weapon back as the belly of the beast exposes itself. Stabbing into the flesh, what looks like voltage shocks of lightning reverberates along its frame. Pulling his blade out, it collapsed to the ground. It was now ready for the group, he would do it’s best to keep the thing at bay. He was sure that he didn’t need to do much though, they seemed to be getting good at putting bigger enemies down these days. He would continue to come for protection's sake, anything could happen at any time and he would hate himself if something were to happen the one time it was decided that he didn’t show up. Hopping down from the branch she swiftly runs toward the target leaving nothing but a trail of icy mist behind her. That blade came out with one foul slice through the flesh that was exposed on its side, the katana was sheathed right then and the girl was nowhere to be found. Others could see the wound start to freeze up on just the outside but that was all. From behind a different tree, peaking around, she would see the crap shaking a bit. This was going to be a short trip if they kept this kinda damage up. Pulling out a cloth, she lightly cleans her weapon. It had to be always wiped down by her, she did not trust the system to keep her sword pristine. Setting the cloth away, glancing around the trunk again. It was still laying there lazy and unmoved. Swinging his hammer in a cipher motion until he feels that tug, this time it starts to glow bright orange. This didn’t happen much, a grin that no one could see appeared on his face. Releasing the tool, upon impact the crab moves a few inches from Raidou without actually moving itself. A large round imprint was left on the creature's flesh. It was the same spot that everyone else was hitting. He starts to twirl up the chains around his arm. Starting to think a little about what went down last night, it was one of the most amazing days he’s had. The first was finding out that the girls were in this game with him. Ever since he accidentally left Anna, it was hard. When his twins just showed up it was a miracle. He missed his little girl so much, but finding Eruda and Freya, it was like fate. Gaius 0 Posted June 23 #11 Share Posted June 23 Starting to get all amped up, his weapon just vibrates. There was no glowing or pulsing, Brionac was saying it was not ready. That’s okay, he starts to channel the winds. He started to raise into the air as a whirlwind started to illuminate from the gusts around the area. Thoughts roll back to last night, those two girls were like 2 peas in a pod. The way they worked in the kitchen together, maybe they had twin powers or something. They kept finishing each other's sentences or rather reading one another's mind, it was a bit creepy. For once there was nothing that he could do in the kitchen. It was nice to see Freya having fun, he didn’t know this but she snorts when she laughs. Sitting up in the air, looking down, wondering how he was going to approach the enemy this time. Maybe going through the shell, or he could do a little slide with a spin. Celeste 1 Posted June 23 #12 Share Posted June 23 Dialed up to 11 already, she couldn’t take it out on the group. It wouldn’t be fair, there was only one other thing she could do that wouldn’t damage her relationship with Firm Anima. Red flames start to light under her feet as she vanishes. Reappearing right next to the creature, pulling her blade back like a baseball bat. Swinging wide and striking hard, upon impact those flames ignite with a huge blast. Smoke engulfed the skies, when it began to clear the crab was on fire. For some reason she just felt the need to keep hitting the damn thing in the same spot over and over. ‘AAAHHHH,” the anger was so overwhelming but it felt so good to just destroy the shit out of something without doing real damage to anything else. After a while she stopped, breath heavy, eyes flared up. She didn’t care what the others thought, she needed this. Even more so, the girl raged, focused and then teleported into battle. That was pure control, the worst thing was that the girl might have not even realized what she just did. The spear man seemed to channel the winds around him and stayed in the air, he had listened to his weapon. Morrighan’s little lightning bolt did a fair job at getting the creature down long enough for all this to be possible. The cold one still needed work, it was like she is stuck, what is holding her back is still a mystery. Only time would tell if that girl would improve or be frozen in time like her heart is. Morrighan pulls the fishing rod back out and casts the line out into the water. Griswold was doing fine but there was something about him as well but that was still being questioned. She starts slicing and dicing this poor thing into nothing. It was literally being chopped into pieces. The shell being hit repeatedly, it starts as a hairline fracture then continues to get larger until it shatters like sharp bits of an exploding building. Eventually there are chunks of crab laying everywhere on the sands around the team. Breathing very hard now, turning to the group, “WHAT THE HELL ARE YOU LOOKING AT.” She starts rushing away from the party. Knowing that the outburst toward them couldn’t happen, it was not fair to them, they did nothing wrong. Maybe she would throw some or all the crew overboard when she got back. It shouldn’t be that hard to find them replacements, right? Walking into the trees, she would be back. The girl had to cool off before she did or said something that she could not take back. He was a bit taken back at the sudden outburst. Something had to have happened before coming here, that was not just from standing here fighting. Glancing around, he knew what came next after the big guy. Seeing something start to move inside the water more than normal. “What the,” walking a bit closer as weird looking slimes come out. It was made from the liquid, translucent and very bouncy. “Uh guys the lake has come alive?” He couldn’t tell if that was a statement or a question, from the sound of his voice it was definitely confusion. A step back unsure if there was some form of chemical inside. What the heck brought the body of water to just come alive, was there something in the water itself creating this effect. Griswold was really trying to wrap his head around this one. They absorbed the content and kept moving. “Interesting,” was all he said. Sword smashes against the ground as lightning is sent through a fissure at them. They begin to take that in too until they most of them fall to their death inside the hole that was created. Twisting his head, this stumped Raidou. He would have to come back and grab samples of this water just so that he could make sure it wasn’t a danger to swim in. This had never happened before. They have come here every day for weeks now and this was a first at least on this floor. At the very least maybe he would test Ruri’s abilities, see how much she has learned. Staring at the things, he was very fascinated. Stepping back a few steps, he was observing the creatures. Suddenly a thought came to mind, his eyes darted to Nisahime who had a smirk on her face. For only a split second he sees this tiny little moving water thing before, BOOOOM… Finding himself blind, not sure how long it would last but he could feel water starting to rise up his legs. “What the hell,” rubbing his eyes. After a minute his site comes back and the massive hole that he created was filling up with the water from the lake. “Shit,” as he was now swimming toward the land that his friends still stood on. Lifting himself up, now soaking wet, couldn’t blame anyone but him. Glancing around at the others who were also drenched from head to toe. How the hell did that tiny thing create so much water. There was one person missing, smelling smoke. His eyes find Celeste in the distance, setting trees and plants on fire. It blends with the sands, that or it was see through. She hated not being able to see her target. Watching the group, Griswold glanced at the ground and started to follow something ,”Found you.” That was all she needed, running across the ground almost gliding at super speeds. All that could be seen was mist and a bubble on the sands bursting, splashing everyone. They were not sure who it was until they saw the pieces of ice clatter down at their feet. Changing her location, perching on a branch watching the group. Taking her blade from the sheath and a cloth, she wipes the metal down. It might seem a bit much for everyone but for her it was natural. Besides, they had no room to judge. She was sure that they had little things that they did on the daily without realizing it. God this stuff was getting weird. Searching the area again, he was checking for more things to splatter. Glancing at the hole he made earlier, there was something swimming in it. Turning his head a bit, getting lower to look, suddenly a small fish with razor sharp teeth came jumping out at him. “AH FUCK,” his reaction was to punch the thing in its face. Splashing back into the pool he steps back shaking his hand. He might have hit a tooth or something. “Hey guys I trapped some,” they were all circling the middle. It would seem that everytime someone would get close they would try to eat you. That might make this a bit easier if the team didn’t want to jump in after them. Feeling his stomach rumble, he pats it softly. He was starving, he hoped to god that this was almost over. Gaius had set an accidental trap, the ironic part was he is a fisher. Apparently the boy is good at what he does. Starting to swing that chain around and around, he moved slightly so that he didn’t hit anyone. Flinging that hammer out toward the pool right into the middle of the fish. Pulling back quickly as most of them pop like balloons. The other two start attacking the hammer as he pulls it back to shore. He could see Raidou moving forward where the tool would come back up. The man was getting ready for murder, it was nice to watch that man plan. Wrapping that metal rope around his arm, one more strong jerk back and those fish were flapping on land with water. It was the perfect opportunity for the others to put them down. Grabbing his weapon now, backing up further so that he didn’t get in the way.
