This had to be going into double or triple digits on their number of visits, taking the better part of the last few weeks. These encounters seemed unending, and no matter how difficult the woman was to track down outside of this place she was always stagnant here. The one place to which she could be found on the regular. The salted wind rakes itself through, the breeze causing the leaves that surround her to twist and move the shadows lingering on her frame. They shift back and forth gently, as she'd slide her feet and keep her back pressed into the large tree at which she was perched in. She knew damn well that the proverbial shit was about to hit the fan, and that she was extremely more effective from the shadows. Gleaming as those streams would hit upon the plate armors polished surface. A heavy visage helmet to match, it would shield his entire body from view, allowing only the small slit on its front in a sharp edge for him to see through. He was quite the machine, a huge brick house sliding in out of the tree line with footfalls that sounded heavy enough to level a tree. The armor even had the gall to plink with each step, as the weight continued to rise and settle. A large wall of a shield held fast in his left hand, strapped around his wrist by a pair of leather bands to keep his offhand free. Freya was getting to become a rather good chef and had somehow down the line turned into one hell of a house wife, with their children being a pair nearly wild animals that couldn't help but get into everything including, scratch that especially the kitchen sink. With a full stomach and a chipper smile, the man heads out of the jungle and out onto a ripe and raring to see him beach. A smile and a wave to the woman that had ripped a weapon out of his chest, not even the slightest bothered by the fact neither. He was curious what the day would hold, but the man was extremely well versed in rolling with the punches and going with the flow. That massive slab of metal of hers drops into the sand with a heavy thud, sending a bit up into the air as it collides. Digging in her heels, she doesn't even bother to look toward the white haired woman at this point. They had formed this sort of uneasy alliance, always showing up to offer aid despite not really understanding the motives of the places she took them. Even now they continued to oblige without gleaning the big picture. But such was the way, and she found it somewhat endearing. "Ready?" She'd quip toward them as she'd take to her own position, watching them start to spread apart and draw weapons. "Good. Out he comes." And with the word the boss spawns out the same as it always had, as if waiting for her to call it to existence. Those thick green claws matched with all manner of spines, that rough and bumpy carapace practically harder then stone. It unfurls as the sand would sink to replace the space where it had escaped, creating a decent size pocket where it flows. A rip of it would see it flare up like sunlight cutting through the clouds, a stream of light as it would become hot with the blue hued light signifying the channeling of a sword art. That robe of his flutters angrily as his stance sharply deepens, a left hand even touching the ground as he'd lock in. Skills aplenty across his vision go dark all at once, as all of them are cast in a quick chain, sending him spiraling through the air like a missile. Setsuna bounds from her concealment functioning on that call to action. The blade in her hand is unsheathed in a single minute vorpal strand of cyan light, as the white fog of her namesake began to dance across the sand in a chilling cold. That line of hers doesn't seem even the slightest bit slowed when it makes contact with her foe, tracing clean through in a blinding flash. Like a bullet slides through, and Setsuna grinds to a halt on its flank. The sand even leaving a small cloud as her momentum slowly breaks. Her katana is drawn back into its scabbard, and the moment it clicks shut the creature is rend clean through sending a spray of its armor as its shredded. Bits of crab shell spray, following the path she had traced. The exposed flesh is impacted by the mountain of a man with chain of potent slams of a hammer, rattling something internally and making its legs curl. It wobbles and falls off to the side, its legs curling not unlike a spider. The smith retracts and the malus in his grasp spins as he flicks his wrist. The thing drops and dangles like a key on a keychain, as the mountain of a man latches on to the titanic crustacean with both hands. Offering it a following headbutt that rattles it even further, before the man would turn it around and press down. Locking it in place, the thing is wrestled to submission as the thick muscles beneath his plate armor bulge and strain in a contest of strength. That long polearm of his acts almost like a lead, as he bounds easily into the skies above. The sand even disperses from the pressure, creating a small smooth circle from where he leaps. His weapon is cocked back over his right shoulder, becoming enraged with his inclination. A lime green hue twists to silver white, as it grows in pressure. A pivot and twist of his torso, and the thing is vaulted at extreme speeds through the giant crab like a skewer. It passes through clean, like a javelin and pops out the bottom only being stopped by the terrain. Moments later the dragoon lands with both hands and a slam, grabbing its handle and twisting it roughly with a satisfying crunch. He was now in the drivers seat, standing upon the still living foe as it clung to an aura of desperation trying to find a way to return some fight. Gaius had fell, Griswold had it locked in place. Now was her time to act in this constant assault. Her cleaver sputters then sparks to life in cobalt blue flame, and within seconds a trailing flicker of her body as her afterimage turns into a transparent blue hue, sending her spiraling in next to Gaius and dumping a slash of that same blue flame in a wide vertical arc. The wave trails across its flesh and causes it to start to brown and darken, being basically flash cooked in an instant. The cleaver retracts and finds itself slung over the womans right shoulder as she leaps off of the crabs back, landing into the sand with a solid thud. A pivot and turn she catches the faintest glimpse of its hitpoints as her flame rages on. (No Proc) That bitter chill would begin to build upon her shoulders, sending her temperature lower and lower. In the flash of flame produced by Celeste the crab would stir in a horrifying agony, boiling away as its armor splintered and fell away. Her weapon peeks open sending all of its trapped permafrost into a billowing white fog, sending the faintest blue line as she starts to blind through her opponent. Where Celeste's was gruesome and wide, Setsuna's was thin and precise. An opposed force in equal measure as the flames would suddenly cool and its skin would go from boiling to flash frozen. Her weapon slowly slinks shut, sliding back into its sheathe with a gentle tap. The blade vanished away, as its health immediately disappears and vibrates angrily. The crab pops and sends a spray of star shards into the sky in all directions. Like an array of shooting stars as the beachfront would fall into a sense of calm. All that would remain was the gentle whisper of waves nursing themselves back on the shore in a crawl. The woman clad in black and with hair of white, would continue to patrol the beachfront looking for her own task for this escapade. Another road left untraveled for quite some time, and yet she honed in on it so elegantly as if it was just a day ago that she'd visited. The players opposed would instead continue to parade around that beachfront, looking for a string of small burrowers in a similar shape that would seek out any space to which they could slink beneath and bide their seconds. An honest possibility that if they were left unnoticed, they would be capable of regrowing a full sized duplicate. A fact that caused the party of players to peruse the poignant space, perking their perspectives in powerful proximity. Such was the way of this quest, how the moment the larger fell that a string of smaller ones would seek out safety to attempt to recreate the boss and replace it. Raidou turns the glowing blade in his hand, the system obliging his desire with a drawing glow of blue that slinks down his blade and back to the grip. Toward his face, he stares down the blade for but a brief moment before slashing across in a wide horizonal cleave. Bits of crab are clipped off clean, mainly tiny pincers that are jettisoned off as itty bitty severed arms. The crabs detonate in a chained set of explosives, sending a handful of glass like shards of data in a somewhat directionless spray. (No Proc) Tapping his thicker hands together, the smith leans down to pick up his hammer. Reaching up he'd pull of his helmet and remove it. The air on his skin was nice, allowing a cool breeze to help alleviate the stuffiness of such armor. The smith attempts to tuck it under his right arm but drops it. The saddest crunch pops the moment it presumably hits the dirt. Glancing left and right, Griswold leans down and picks it up to find not one but two very smashed crab. Looking a little bit like white and red ground beef, before being whisked away by the air like ash. The man rakes his face with fingers through his facial hair, helping release the moisture before deciding to replace the visage. There was something rather internally humorous about helping his team without even trying to, but he'd count it as a lucky break and not overthink it. (No Proc) The dragoon lands gingerly once the giant crab beneath him is broken into shards, his polearm becoming much less under tension once it was no longer rooted in the beast. He'd flash a quick thumbs up toward the smith who would nod before they both stand up straight. Glancing back toward the woman that was the first here, Gaius couldn't help but remark to the guy. "She's something else, where do you think we are going to end up today?" To which the smith repays him with a shrug, not really sure how to pay much more of an answer then that. "Hmm, which reminds me." The topic shifts quickly choosing to let that dog lie then waste too much time. "Don't let me forget, Freya made you a lunch. You gotta eat old timer." Griswold grunts through the armor, and Gaius wonders if he's going to get decked one. (No Proc) The redhead was still on an unnecessary high, pushed into a semblance of high tension as she'd quickly advance her gaze across the place looking for anymore of those little bastards. She was more than familiar with this quest objective by now, and by the beach guardian's little ploy to allow its smaller versions to rush off like the small hand spiders in legend of zelda. They'd look out a log or a stone and start nursing themselves back into a massive crab again, which is why every damn day there was always another one ready to start trying to gank them again. A fact that was actually very obnoxious. Spotting some movement, she'd point off with a grit of her teeth locking eyes with her compatriots. If just once they could actually stop them all, then this damn mess wouldn't nearly as bad. It could even save them a couple hours of wasted time. (No Proc), Charge CD [2/3] As if right on queue the girl would trace the space that Celeste had designated, following her extended arm and drawing a mental line straight to the targets. A bouncing cyan line as she screamed toward them at speeds nigh impossible, and would cleave through the lot without even a moment of hesitation. A scattering of crab parts is flung through the air with the click of a scabbard, sending them spiraling back into the ever stream of data to be returned back to this beach at a later date. Two rush away as her skill stasis was still holding her back. She only can barely manage a gesture of her hand to pass the buck, proving how valuable companions could be on such encounters. There was system based limitations that slowed her advance, allowing an almost turn based back and forth between friendly and foe. The first to breach the gap would finish the job. (No Proc) Seeing the small girl blaze past and go full surgeon on the creatures that Celeste pointed out, The smith assumed the matter handled. That was until he saw another pair slowly clamber out of the brush and start darting full speed toward the waters edge. Dropping his hammer, he'd grab the chain and begin to twirl it. A rip down and overhead would allow that mallet on tether to extend out and pile drive the remaining two into tiny driven nails. Pop Pop, they are squished as easily as a bug with a newspaper. Using both arms he'd fish the thing back and pluck it up. He knew he couldn't catch the little bastards on foot, but his weapon could easily bridge that gap in speed. He'd turn to Setsuna, offering a smile to her and lifting a fist like a ranged fist bump. She'd respond with a stoic glance, raking her hand through her hair.
