L smiled as he charged forward pushing the wall down straight with the last bit of added strength he pushed it with. The wall crumbled under their force as  small room was revealed. The golden light was coming from a treasure chest. It seemed as though this was only a bonus room and killing the goblins unlocked the chest. "I guess this was a small waste of time wasn't it" He walked around the chest examining it closely, it also was a trap. He made note of the pressure plates around it and found the safest route to the chest and finally opened it. It was an uncommon item, boots of some sort as well as two materials a silver and gold ingot that he originally came for. He closely examined it along with the ring he obtained earlier.

Interesting to say the least. This was very productive for him, but now he had the gold and silver ingot he had no further purpose of continuing but for the sake his members he turned to them to ask for their opinion. "It seems as though i've found what i was looking for. However the Goblin king is around here somewhere, im not sure if we can leave a quest half finished but let me know what you guys want to do next"

"We're entirely capable of leaving it undone," Alkor offered, "but why would you want to? Experience and spoils can change the tide of this war. Something small can become something huge. If you're looking to get yourself on the front lines, keep that in mind."

Alkor had always been the type to finish anything he started. If he had to, he might go as far as to fight the Goblin King alone. He hoped it would not come to that, of course. "I've heard tell that the boss has a decent loot table for lower levels," Alkor informed Life, "and money drops for high difficulty creatures are always worthwhile."

Sliding his Anneal Blade into its sheath, Alkor headed toward the antechamber where they would find the boss door, and behind it, the monster they had come all this way for. "Be ready for anything," he muttered, more to himself than anyone else.

L smiled at his comrades remark "Of course, how could i just abandon a challenge. Let's carry on then"

He walked over beside Alkor examining the large door up and down "This will be like no other battle i have ever faced" He grinned in excitement as he pushed it with a gentle touch. The doors creaked open slowly as the boss event began to play. "WELCOME INTRUDERS, TO YOUR DEMISE" There it was, the Goblin King, it was fitting for it's title. It was ginormous, at least 8 times larger than himself and he was naturally the tallest out of any group, towering over any teenager at 6"3. It had a crown and a jeweled cloak and would have been mistaken as more of an orc than a goblin if you replaced the witch like nose.

"Better get used to saying that often," Alkor remarked with a wry smile as his shield strapped once more to his arm, and the sword slid back into his waiting grip. The sinister welcome from the Goblin King only enticed Alkor further into the room, where he presented a prime target for the gigantic gremlin.

Alkor pointed his blade toward the boss with a curt nod. "Come and get me, big guy." Walking forward at a measured pace, Alkor stepped into the aggression zone of the boss, and in an instant, the beast hurtled forward toward him.

Their blades clashed with a loud report. Mindless was his enemy as they disengaged, then slashed at each other again. Three times. The fourth, Alkor caught on his shield, and he thrust his blade in through the opening he had created.

The Goblin King offered only a malicious smirk, and insane laughter as Alkor withdrew his sword and left a solid, red line on the boss' chest. "I'll draw his hate," Alkor told the others. "You guys beat him down."

He began to run to the side of the boss room until the Goblin Kings attention turned on Alkor.

"Looking good so far" he said to himself as he snuck up behind the beast and swung at it mid air slashing through its disgustingly muscular thigh with a charged blade of blue energy severing a tendon then retreating back to safety as it turned back slightly to see where he had been hit.

This is gonna happen real fast. As his blade skewered into the Goblin King immediately after the two of his teammates did their damage, Alkor pulled back and presented his shield for the Goblin King to strike. The creature did not disappoint.

Almost on instinct, Alkor knew what came next. The Goblin cried out in pain and rushed toward him again, hellbent on the player dealing the most damage. Combined with the flames from his shield, Alkor was providing a pretty convincing show of tanking.

While this was far from ideal, Alkor didn't mind. It gave him a chance to broaden his skills and strengthen his arsenal. In times of extreme need, he might even get called on to tank on the front lines, albeit after the devoted tanks.

Rue got close to the goblin king and jumped in the air spinning piercing the goblin in the face. She pulled out the blade as it penetrated the ugly face. But before she could jump away, the goblin struck her back and she slid across the floor.

"Rue!" Argumail shouted and blocked the next attack from the goblin. He slid his sword back into the goblin arm. The creature screamed. Argumai looked behind and said,"Rue, you ok?"

"Back up, everyone," Alkor hissed as he hefted his shield and stopped a powerful downward slice from penetrating the others in the wake of Argumail's attack. "Don't let down your guard for a second."

He grit his teeth as the monster pressed the attack, seeking to overwhelm him with its strength. Flames seeped from the Ruby at the heart of the bulwark on his arm, encircling the offending blade in a wreath of searing heat. "As long as I'm here, you're not getting through me," Alkor told the boss. It trained its eyes on him, and him alone. The feeling in the pit of his stomach was less fear and more anticipation. If this had happened in real life, he couldn't say if he would have puked or not.

Regardless of his overactive stomach, Alkor shunted the heavy blade to the side at last, taking a fast step forward and bringing his blade down toward the thick skinned, gem studded beast. "There," he said, exhaling sharply. Somehow, he sensed he'd dealt a good deal less damage than he should have. Still, the hit seemed as hard, if not harder than his previous ones.

Sparing a glance toward Rue, Alkor decided to let the others tend to her for the moment. It was imperative he remain focused on the boss, and the boss on him.

Either way, the flames from his shield seethed over the Goblin's body and caused it to growl a guttural sounding threat toward Alkor, who simply made a gesture with his hand. "Bring it."

Argumail was ready to block the attack but, Alkor got in his way. He did what said though, he wasn't foolish. As he backed up he saw foot hold in the nearby wall. "Cedar! Distraction!" Cedar nodded and ran in between the goblin's legs. The goblin looked down tryn!ing to see his tiny foe. Argumail took the opportunity to used that foothold, he did and he climbed up the wall. As soon as he was right above the Goblin he came down on it back and stabbed him in the neck.

L once again ran into the front lines, he twisted and turned past the goblin kings attacks but for some reason it all seemed too easy. He span around its back and jumped slashing down on its shoulder blades creating a large wound that gashed blood out onto the floor like a waterfall. It turned at knocked him away with full force slamming his body against the wall

Alkor stayed in the main line of the King's vision and held his shield high to intercept the incoming strike. The weapon met his defense, then clattered limply away. Alkor narrowed his eyes; something about all of this seemed too easy.

He stepped forward and took a quick slash at the Goblin King, which let out a pathetic wail as the damage was done. As it's life ebbed away, however, something about it seemed to change.

L once again used his lack of presence to get close to the beast, his strategic movements and formless fighting style created perfect opportunities every time. The Brute began to learn and soon his technique had become redundant and nearly useless as he was blocked by the King with a single blade effortlessly "You're smarter than you look.." The king grunted and pushed him away, only having enough time to stop his attacks as his attention turned back to the rest of the party. "Just letting you know guys, i don't mind if you take the killing blow along with the loot, i've already gotten what i've came for"

Argumail swung down and sliced the creature's neck. He couldn't help but laugh a litttle. He spun off a wall and came in for another strike. He smiled but the battle wasn't over yet.
