Celesmeh 0 Posted January 20, 2015 #81 Share Posted January 20, 2015 Celes wasnt prepared for it to rise up once more, but she didnt care. She would bring it down again. She jumped and slashed, letting her sword skill drive her movements...(1512, 9) She smiled, she had found a critical weak point her glaive cut easily into it (DMG 12) leaving a red pixelated gash in its form. Molten Hydra 0 Posted January 22, 2015 #82 Share Posted January 22, 2015 [iD 7300, B: 5+2=7] Claw Slash: Hydra slashes one of its front legs at a player, slashing them with its black claws dealing 5 damage on a 6-8, 6 damage on a 9-10. The Hydra gave a bellowed roar, as it was attacked by a few members in the group. The others, didn't seem to attack. One stood there - and the other - after suffering severe burns. Died. The smallest of the players - Rue, seemed to struggle with the heat and after a long time of being stationary, finally succumbed to her wounds. She exploded in a sea of data. The Molten Hydra set its sights on Celesmeh. Eyes narrowing as it grunted. Raising a clawed leg, to slash at the girl. Rue 0 Posted January 24, 2015 #83 Share Posted January 24, 2015 (Oh snap) Rue held her blade standing stationary looking at the boss. First it looked around at the players. Then she looked at her health bar. It was low. And... The burn was still... Still there. She was frightened. scared beyon belief.Rue fell to the ground and looked at everyone. She began to glow. A tear glistened in her eye. She managed to form the words "Good... Bye". She broke apart leaving shards in front of everyone's faces. She then seen a screen. And her life shattered. She was dead. In the hospital in her real body the heart monitor makes a loud beeping sound. And there is a ____________ on the screen.
Daeron 1 Posted January 24, 2015 Author #84 Share Posted January 24, 2015 As Daeron turned towards the scene of the battle, his heart stopped. "No!" he screamed as Rue took a last hit that drained her life away. It was only a matter of seconds before she began to shimmer with a light that made her a walking illumination. Before anybody had time to react, Rue disspersed into the blue shards of data which filled the room. Daeron's eyes filled with rage. "Had anybody listened, we would have saved her." he said gripping his blade. "I told you to heal her and this is what happens when you ignore orders. It's because of you she's dead. As the raid leader I wanted no ally casualities." he said with a cold, angry tone. Moments later Daeron charged in at the Hydra, angry as ever. He swung his weapon in fury of attacks at a speed one couldn't imagine. The boss needed to die, that's all. Daeron didn't care about being his egotistic self right now. He was way too angry right now for any of that. Beady yellow eyes slowly watching the players. from Daeron to Yuji. Some whose HP were in the red, others who were still strong in the green. The Molten Hydra knew it was on its last legs, and rather than attack the monstrous beast merely watched. Wary. Waiting. The heat within the room seemed to rise quickly, as lava slowly began to rise and bubble out from the lake behind the hydra. Zelrius 0 Posted January 27, 2015 #86 Share Posted January 27, 2015 Zelrius watched Group 1. Rebekah 0 Posted January 28, 2015 #87 Share Posted January 28, 2015 Rebekah watched the Blood Buccaneer attacked, and knew that it was their groups turn to attack. She knew that this battle was getting harder by the second with the dwindling group of players still left actively attacking in this fight, and needed to land her attack. She moved as soon as Zelrius had finished his previous attack, not wanting to waste any precious time before the molten hydra would be able to see who would attack it next. She ran as quick as she can to attack with her heartstriker, attempting to pierce the heart of the hydra. She missed, but at least Rebekah had landed her attack, every little bit counts, as she saw the hp bar move a tiny bit down. Life 0 Posted January 29, 2015 #88 Share Posted January 29, 2015 L stared at the beast in awe. In fact he had been in a trance for so long the groups had moved without him. He slapped himself and gripped the handle of his blade hard. He looked around the field, to his dread.. Rue was no longer there. Did she.. did she die?He lowered his head, his fringe falling in front of his face, gritting his teeth tightly tears began to fill his eyes. He closed them tight and rubbed them quickly before they where revealed, he had quested with rue before.. she was an innocent spirit, she did NOT, deserve to die. "Why.. if only i didn't day dream!" He began to choke up and looked up at the beast with rage filled eyes. He raised his sword and swung it down hard as if challenging the hydra, screaming fearlessly he began to sprint as fast as his legs could carry him towards the beast, sword in hand. He hated himself for day dreaming in the middle of the fight, he could have.. he could have protected her.. he was nothing but a failure to his comrades. He launched himself high into the air and brought his blade down on its thick hided neck. "TAKE THIS!" The blade came crashing down onto the beast leaving a large gash. It's health bar dropped, however not as much as he would have liked it to. The hydra wasn't going down without a fight and boy, was it putting up a fight. He landed at the foot of the beast, rage seethed from him as he backed away from the hydra before it would attack again, with swift backward hops. [iD=7789] BD: 8+2=10 success! The Hydra bought back its head, drawing in a long, low breath. There was a rumble from deep within its molten gut. Thick, black smoke began to billow from it's flared nostrils, followed by flumes of white hot fire, till finally... It opened its mouth, lava still dripping over its muzzle and onto the floor. A Ferocious whirlwind of fire engulfed all players present, burning them all. The fire died down, and more than one player was now dangerously in the red. Shark 0 Posted January 31, 2015 #90 Share Posted January 31, 2015 I looked around at the status of the raid members. This battle was starting to look bad but we were almost done with the fight. We are close to beating the boss and moving on to the next floor. C'mon guys! we can beat this thing! Let's push ourselves here! I said as I tried to energize everyone. I saw an opening that the boss left so I made a break for it and went in. Cover me! I yelled as I turned my sword a bright blue and swung for the boss. [iD: 8027, 2] I gave a slight exhale and the boss heard me and swung to make me loose my concentration. I missed my attack and landed on the other side. Go! You can take him! Lessa 1 Posted February 1, 2015 #91 Share Posted February 1, 2015 Tears raced down Lessa's cheeks as she lunged toward the boss. Her vision was blurry, and her stomach twisted itself into knots that tightened with every step; were she to pause for a moment, she would certainly spill her breakfast. Rue is dead. One of us died. We lost. We've failed. The blonde's entire frame began to shake, her heavy claymore feeling impossibly large in her hands. "Keep going," she cried suddenly, her voice high-pitched and cracking. There were others, who were still alive. Others worth fighting for. Others who would surely die if she stopped. The girl threw herself at the hydra, the heat rolling off of it taking its toll on her already overwhelmed body. Her exposed skin glistened with sweat, and her blonde hair was slicked back. Lessa's face burned red, and as she hacked away at the monster, every overworked and overheated muscle screamed in protest. Lessa wailed as she pulled her sword free of the hydra's thick skin, and stumbled backward toward her group. {[8218] Battle: 5 + 2 (accuracy from gauntlets) = 7. Mari 1 Posted February 2, 2015 #92 Share Posted February 2, 2015 Most everyone had react when Rue died. She was young, she was doe-eyed and innocent. Mari felt bad that she died, that no one had chosen to heal her - Daeron had grown angry and abused the others - blaming them, but he was just as much to blame as anyone else. They were all too focused on the battle at hand. The beast that was known as the Hydra - its first form was fearsome enough, but it's secondary? The beasts entire body was covered in magma, its head was searing with it - as it dripped from its mouth. Mari checked her health. "Tch.." She couldn't do anything this turn, she couldn't attack - sure - she could try but where would that lead her? Mari was not a fool. The players were warned, oh how they were warned - and how foolish were they - not to listen. Players who idled, players who hesitated - were they safe? No. They each would have their day, they had met their maker - the angry, Molten Hydra. It's body covered in a smouldering, steaming armour of hardened, molten lava. It's head, dripping with hot, liquid lava. A single obsidian horn protruded from the Hydra's head. The Hydra lowered its head and aimed its horn, charging straight for Primrose. It landed a direct hit, once again, burning the player. The Hydra lifted its head, and stepped back from the player, giving a satisfied snort. Daeron 1 Posted February 4, 2015 Author #95 Share Posted February 4, 2015 Daeron grunted. The boss... it was so close to being defeated, yet they still had a ways to go. Taking a gander around the room, he saw many yellow and red health bars. Knowing that perhaps the end may be nigh for a number of players, he knew that he could try to save someone from taking damage and heal them, or he could go in to attack the boss again. It was a conflicting decision, however, in the end, he chose to try and end this fight faster.Rushing in at his foe, Daeron wrapped his fingers around the hilt of his weapon until they turned white. Daeron sprinted with a heavy breathe being released behind every step and his body adding additional weight to his step, making each individual attempt to run harder every time he did. Not to mention, he was also trying to keep an eye on everybody's health level and their statuses. The boss was also very low at this point, perhaps a few more good hits would be enough to do the trick in his eyes.ID: 8423Battle Dice: 10 [10 Damage - 5 = 5 Damage Dealt + 1 Life Steal]Crafting Dice: 10 [Heal 2 HP From Battle Healing]Daeron: 49/70 -2 HP Burn for 2/3 turnsTristan: 19/35 -2 HP Burn for 3/3 turnsAlkor: 7/26 -2 HP Burn for 3/3 turnsSeldentar: 41/55 -2 HP Burn for 3/3 turns Group 2: Zelrius: 59/77 -2 HP Burn for 3/3 turnsKazuya: 7/23 -2 HP Burn for 3/3 turnsRebekah: 15/30 -2 HP Burn for 3/3 turnsLife: 20/32 -2 HP Burn for 3/3 turnsGroup 3: Shark: 41/55 -2 HP Burn for 2/3 turnsPrimrose: 3/27 -2 HP Burn for 3/3 turnsLessa: 17/34 -2 HP Burn for 2/3 turnsMari: 10/28 -2 HP Burn for 2/3 turnsGroup 4: Kiru: 56/71 -2 HP Burn for 3/3 turnsCelesmeh: 12/29 -2 HP Burn for 3/3 turnsYuji: 17/32 -2 HP Burn for 3/3 turns Rue: 0/17 DEAD Molten Hydra: 21/
Life 0 Posted February 4, 2015 #96 Share Posted February 4, 2015 Life saw Daeron move ahead without group 4, it was an all or nothing focusing on just wiping out the hydra before it could reek to much havoc. A lot of players where dangerously low.. he closed his eyes before he teared up in front of the others, he looked straight at the hydra and cleared his throat, he wasn't going to let the hydra kill another player.. not while he stood fighting. "I won't allow you to kill another player.." He grit his teeth and lowered his stance sprinting towards the hydra making sure to keep himself on his toes. The made sure he had a good grip before he launched himself high into the air. With his height he looked like a basketball player going for a slam dunk except he had a machete and the basketball hoop was the hydras skull. There was no satisfying crack to his blow but he felt as though he at least made it past the hydras molten rock surface. Yes, without a doubt it connected, he was satisfied with his attempt and made his way to Daerons side "You've got some good moves there" L wasn't the type to start a conversation in the middle of a fight, this was merely a simple comment he didn't expect a reply to though he was still very intrigued by the man. However it seemed a select few had fight left in them. The Hydra took a step back, as first Daeron then Life attacked. Both stressed, disheartened by the death of their companion. The Hydra growled. There would be another death, if players were not healed. Rebekah 0 Posted February 5, 2015 #98 Share Posted February 5, 2015 After watching Life move, she thought, what happened to the order? It feels with each cycle that the number of players attacking the boss had dropped steadily, thus she knew that it would be best to move to attack now, when she still had the chance. She knew that she was not going to land the final blow, but she knew that she should try her best to help wither the boss down, the chunk so someone else could finish the last blow. It had been a long battle as she charged up towards the hydra, she swung and completely missed. Somehow she missed from an arms length away, which she knew she needed to work on. Mari 1 Posted February 5, 2015 #99 Share Posted February 5, 2015 Mari had to take a step back, as the Hydra barely missed her, and rammed its horn into Primrose. Mari hadn't had many interactions with Primrose, rather - you could say that the pink haired women barely knew her at all. Still, Primrose looked as though she was struggling, her health was red - no, beyond that. It was flashing - she was hanging on by a thread. Mari wasn't able to catch Rue in time, and she did not see herself as a support or healer type, but Primrose was in her group. Mari wasn't always a team player, but she wasn't going to let someone die so easily. Mari opened up a second potion, chucking it toward Primrose. "Here." Mari watched as her health creeped up another 5 HP; she was still in the danger zone - but at least she would survive another attack if she were lucky. Mari shot a glare toward Daeron, then to Life. Who were hypocrites. Belittling the other players for not healing each other, yet not bothering to do a thing themselves. Sure, Mari was also to blame for that in regards to Rue - but at least she was doing something now. Mari really felt she should have healed herself first, but Primrose was in more danger than her right now. "Better?" She asked Primrose. Molten Hydra 0 Posted February 6, 2015 #100 Share Posted February 6, 2015 (Please note the Hydra has +5 Damage mitigation - If Alkor chooses to post a death post, it will not count toward the 2 player posts between hydra attacks)[iD 8851, BD 6+2 = 7 ] Claw Slash: Hydra slashes one of its front legs at a player, slashing them with its black claws dealing 5 damage on a 6-8, 6 damage on a 9-1 The Hydra stomped its feet, growling as another player attacked - and one - surprisingly healed, not herself...but another. The Hydra snorted, jerking its head - dripping with molten lava from side to side. It clawed at the ground, charging for the first group of players. Aiming for Alkor, it bought up a large, clawed foot and dragged it straight across his torso. Alkor stumbled forward and fell under the Hydra who then stomped on the player with its hind legs. Alkor was kicked back to the side, skidding to land just in front of the team formations. And it was there, he would die.Foolish, selfish, players.Daeron: 46/70 -2 HP Burn for 2/3 turns Tristan: 17/35 -2 HP Burn for 2/3 turnsAlkor: 0/26 -2 HP Burn for 2/3 turns DEADSeldentar: 39/55 -2 HP Burn for 2/3 turns Group 2: Zelrius: 57/77 -2 HP Burn for 2/3 turnsKazuya: 5/23 -2 HP Burn for 2/3 turnsRebekah: 13/30 -2 HP Burn for 2/3 turnsLife: 18/32 -2 HP Burn for 2/3 turnsGroup 3: Shark: 39/55 -2 HP Burn for 1/3 turnsPrimrose: 6/27 -2 HP Burn for 2/3 turnsLessa: 15/34 -2 HP Burn for 1/3 turnsMari: 8/28 -2 HP Burn for 1/3 turnsGroup 4: Kiru: 54/71 -2 HP Burn for 2/3 turnsCelesmeh: 10/29 -2 HP Burn for 2/3 turnsYuji: 15/32 -2 HP Burn for 2/3 turns Rue: 0/17 DEADMolten Hydra: 18/
