Mikael, much to the dismay of his peers and family, is quite average. While he makes excellent grades in school, he isn't anything spectacular regarding sports and other interests. Well that'd be true if he didn't have an affinity for fighting games and a fascination of samurais. His world revolved around one becoming wealthy enough to create a game that'd allow him to become the fighters he played so frequently. With the release of the Nerve Gear, he was that much closer to his goal. Saving the money he earned at his part-time job, he accumulated enough to finally purchase the equipment.  After another couple of months he had saved up enough to purchase the hottest game of the year. Sword Art Online. Putting the gear on, he uttered the starting words and watched as the world he knew faded from view.

» Virtues:
Calculating:
An avid player of fighting games and an observant person in general, Mikael is adept at reading a situation, and manipulating it until the results are in his favor. He can assess an opponent's strengths and weaknesses with relative ease, which makes him a potent ally in battle. 

Energetic:
Mikael seems to become a different person when he's playing. An unusual enthusiasm settles into him as he gets into his  game. This trait is sure to transfer into SAO. On the field he will be the guy making boastful remarks and most likely attract the most attention from his group. This can couple really well with his calculative trait seeing how he plans on being a tank in SAO, with a samurai like build.

Optimistic:
Mikael has always been sure of his future and he remains confident in the fact that he'll achieve it. In game things can get rough, but Mikael will be there to cheer up those who need cheering up and refuses to be dismayed by any situation.

» Flaws:
Over Confident:
With his positive traits, come some negative ones. Mikael tends to be over confident at times. This contradicts his usually calculative demeanor. However it is certainly possible given his energetic and optimistic traits and the fact that he like to be a show off..

Skeptical:
Mikael, although friendly, is skeptical of others.  This cultivated from years of being tricked into doing various things and tricked into tossing matches online just for something that didn't nor was it worth it. He doesn't trust anyone right off the bat, and furthermore he doesn't even trust himself in such a new and unknown place.

Spontaneous:
While usually calm and collected, Mikael has a tendency to be equally as spontaneous as combustion. He seems to get so engrossed in the action that one may never know what's gonna come out of his mouth. This can prove effective for taunting people or egging them on. This ca also get him out of situations where being the calculative may not get you as far as you wanted.
