[AB-F5] The Real Butchers

Recommended Posts

Zelrius was finally sparked by another challenge in his life. It had been some time since the real last challenge. Though Redemption seemed difficult with the recent buff, But looking back now, Zelrius sees he probably could have easily taken it himself. Nonetheless, that battle proved the sheer strength Commandants of the Azure Brigade. Now, with a stroll through the old towns of Floor 5, NPCs spoke of <<The Butcher of the Sands>>. An enemy who's rumored stats and strength  was that higher than most Floor bosses fought to date. Now this one, The Ex-Blood Buccaneer knew just who the call.

He stood in the center in-front of the Teleportation gate, an ankle resting on his knee. His all black tuxedo with a gray dress shirt drawing in epic amounts of heat, and the dark gloves not bringing any support. I am a man of class, I will be fine. The golden haired boy consoled himself as he waited patiently for the Commandants.

Rebekah hated the desert with the suffocating weather and the scorching temperature, but Zelrius needed her here. It was the floor that she avoided, and she brought along more than enough water to keep cool. As she turned and waited for everyone else to show up, she turned to the golden hair boy, that bowtie was always there on perfectly. She was lucky not to wear any armour and tlrealize that it would be a lot worse if she did have some on in this weather. Besides speedy players such as her need to be very quick.

The feeling Kotori felt as she found herself arriving to a quest was one of deja vu. It was rightfully justifiable in the sense that she had done this recently, only with a completely other guild that she regretted ever joining in the first place. No, right now was not the place to be thinking of such trivial matters, it was time for her to do something and that was fight. She still didn't do the amount of damage she would've wanted to have done, but again she was dwelling on things that couldn't help her at this moment.

The girl gave a light sigh as she found herself approaching the two players who arrived first. It was an odd thing to be told that she was accepted into a guild, especially one that she had only rumors off. She had expected to go solo after finding out the news of why she was accepted into AP since it just turned her off joining groups, but it was just one guild to another. Nonetheless, she had high hopes for this one considering it consisted of the highly respected and strongest players in Aincrad, maybe she can learn a thing or to from all of them if she was lucky. Today she would try to somewhat prove herself even if it isn't necessary at all. She didn't have to go through an initiation, she was already in, but that didn't mean she can't try to show her potential. Kotori found herself arriving and saying "Hi." to the two players who were already there.

There was sand, and it was everywhere. Or at least that what he remembered about the area surrounding the main settlement of the fifth floor. The heat, although not as hot as the ninth floor, was still unpleasant to be in nonetheless. His only reason for being here was that there seemed to be another quest requested his and the other commandants assistance, as well as a few brigadiers like his girlfriend, Kotori, and best mate, Dom. He quickened with haste as he stepped from the gate to head into the wasteland, only to realize he was about to walk right past the group he was looking for.

Stopping dead in his tracks, Oikawa turned around and greeted the players around him. Giving a warm smile to Ko, Oikawa then directed his attention To Zelrius "So what quest are you dragging us into this time man? It certainly isn't survival is it? I've had about enough of that quest haha."

Ssendom warped into the 5th floor after hearing rumors of something called the Butcher of the Sands, which was a relatively new quest people were whispering about. He wanted to make quick haste to his guild mates, he didn't want to feel as though he was making anyone wait upon him so he came adorned in his Dreaded Plate with the Dusk Reaver affixed to his back in a comfortable position. After the blue light dissipated and he saw the sands surrounding about him he began to search around for anyone of familiarity from his guild. He always had his helmet set to invisible in towns making it easier to recognize him among due to his helmet completely covering his head.

After a while of leisurely walking around he saw a glimpse of a few people standing in a group and was barely able to recognize Oikawa and Kotori from a short distance away. He walked up leisurely, "Sorry to keep everyone waiting. To those who haven't met me in person salutations, the name is Ssendom." He greeted himself more towards the Blonde Haired woman and the Golden haired boy. He kept his face straight and serious as he stood over each person, he thought it slightly interesting that he stood a decent bit taller than each person who stood here. He knew he wouldn't be the only person over six feet tall if Tristan were to show as well.

Tristan teleported into the desert floor, thinking on how it had been a long time since he last came to this floor. He tried to recall when it exactly was, but it lost him. He saw the group was there all set for them to challenge the boss, one of which would give a grand amount of trouble to many players.

Luckily for them though, Azure was not one of many. They were the elite few, ones who could pulverize through anything through their collective strength. Thus they should see little trouble with this boss. For exclusively this time too they took in some of the lower level Azure players and not just the Commandants. It seemed a good plan to give all of Azure the chance to faceroll bosses, so this was their time to shine.

"Well, I'm ready to annihilate a boss, let's go!"

Zelrius nodded and stood. Here they were again with an added two. Even if they weren't commandants, they were nonetheless Brigadiers, and therefore, the best of the best. He stood and glanced around through the hot air at the assembled group. There was of course the Commandants, all with the exception of a certain two-hair colored girl. The one who had always annoyed Zelrius, yet he always for some reason had a soft spot for her. His eyes went to Tristan, as he'd be most likely to know. First Introductions and what not, Questions second.

"Salutations and Greetings to those of you of the Azure Brigade. For those who have had the pleasure of meeting me, I am Zelrius, one of the five commandants of the Azure Brigade. For those of you that know me: Let's get moving." He stopped for a brief moment only to turn and begin strolling his arrogant swagger toward the quest target, But that would be a long walk, now for his question. "So Tristan, did you say something to Kiru that made her run away or is she just not deciding to show up this time around?" The boy chuckled at the joke, though he stopped knowing full well it could have been something HE, himself, had said.

There wasn't time to be awkward and engage conversation with two others players that had arrived before because the rest of what seemed to be the group that was partaking on this quest arrived. Oikawa managed to arrive soon after she did, a feat that possibly only him could manage and Dom came following quickly, they both seemed to great friends to each other. Another man took his place among the gathering of people, his long hair the color of Oikawa's face when he was blushing, which he managed to do often. He didn't seem to want to introduce at all, not that she did so either that couldn't be blamed really. The event that was supposed to transpire decided to put some coal into its engine and go full steam ahead, a visually daydream she found herself riding in her mind. Brushing off aloof tendencies aside, there was an awkward silence among the six players, something she kept noted for the possible battle ahead.

Her dagger's handle felt slightly cold to the touch of her delicate and small palms, if it was alive it would most likely share the feelings of the girl who was utilizing it. Her small pale fingers slowly curled and wrapped themselves around the mysterious metallic element that formed the basis of the weapon as her irises flicked back and forth between her companions and the surrounding background, the humid and risky desert that contained many dangerous creatures and players.

Kotori still had little knowledge of the task at hand, she was simply summoned here and she could only assume it was the same for the people who were around her, save a couple of people who had the valuable information. It wasn't that important that she couldn't go forwards and do what she was required to do, it was just that it would be nice to know what she was going to do today and possible brace herself or prepare herself mentally and physically. Mysterious circumstances isn't an atmosphere she would give out to players if she was in the position she assumed more than one person had. It wasn't her job however so she kept quiet and herself occupied by pondering on the various things that floated their way into her mindscape, it was much easier to let time pass by daydreaming her way through it. She had experience doing so and it would prove to be handy to her once again in this game. It wasn't too hard however to keep her ears open in case somebody decided to speak up.

Ssendom and Tristan trickled in shortly after the blonde himself. Azure had been assembled in a matter of moments. For what purpose, had yet to be determined as Zelrius had neglected to answer the blonde's earlier question. Oikawa took count of those that were in attendance. Zelrius, the head commandant and arguably the strongest player currently in Aincrad. Tristan, the red haired tank. Rebekah, the veteran rapier user. Kotori, improving player on the rise. Ssendom, the budding front-liner. And myself, well I haven't the slightest clue what to call myself. However my analysis remains that we have the most talented group of players and this quest should go without a hitch.

A sigh wriggled free from his lips as he parted them to speak once more. However, they closed just as quickly as he realized he nothing to discuss really. He instead thought about their reasoning for being there. With the recent update in quests, there are only 3 quests that can be completed on this quest. <Blood in the Sand>, <The Traveler>, and the latest being <Butcher of the Sands>. Seeing as how I'm positive everyone maybe save Ko and Dom, has completed the first two. Leaving <Butcher of the Sands> as the quest to be completed. Hmm simple deduction is simple. His eyes then flicked to the sound of movement. The party seemed to be on the move.

Ssendom peered about the group of people, it seemed Zelrius happened to enjoy talking a bit whereas Rebekah was not much of a conversationalist. He already knew a lot about Oikawa, in fact Ssendom could deem the blonde possibly his closest friend in the game aside from Meokka whom he shared his heart with. Having spent some time with Kotori and Tristan he knew both of them weren't much of the way of conversationalists either, and although Ssendom didn't mine partaking in an exchange of words he more so decided to stick to the flow of things.

He dropped his menu HUD down and did some investing through his items and skills as they prepare for the fight. He pulled out his Sand Armor Potion and poured it upon his armor causing it to glow gray for a bit before returning to it's normal state. The potion exploded into data fragments after the glowing ended to which Ssendom pulled out his Dusk Reaver and put it upon the menu causing it to disappear, then he scrolled down the list for a second and selected a new weapon. In his hands appeared a slightly larger greatsword full through and through, it was like every aspect of the blade was a serrated point yet across the entire thing the shape of how the serrated edged met formed the look of a normal style sword. The Scabbard on the back of his armor changed shapes to accomodate the larger blade to which he flipped into the scabbard sheathing it.

He cracked his neck by moving it around in a full circle, at the end when his head was at a normal tilt he looked up at the group, "I'm prepared whenever you are, just say the word." He stated bluntly with a serious undertone, he wasn't going to show his normal side of a simple easy going man. His bloodlust was scratching at the back of his throat, he was hungry for a good fight and from what was whispered... he was going to get it, along side quite possibly the strongest group of people he had seen in one single location.

Tristan scanned through his inventory and equipped his usual gear for this fight, spear, armour and shield materialising in their relevant locations from pixels into pixels that now made a feasible object. He checked to see if everything fit and was in place for the fight. "Well, that should be everything for preparations, I'm about as ready as Ssendom is." he said, looking at the rest of the gang who also seem prepared for the fight. He was glad for this because it would give him a weapon which greatly benefited someone like himself who didn't have much of a damage potential.

Tristan chuckled at Zelrius' remark about the absence of Kiru. Last he knew, she was busy with her own matters and thus couldn't attend, though for all he knew, what Zerlius said may be true in one form or another. "I'm honestly not sure. It is hard to tell most of the time what she is thinking behind those ice cold blue eyes. Or I'm just oblivious as usual and didn't notice, one way or the other.".

He saw a sandstorm coming over the plains, looking rather looming... "So uh, I suppose we should head to the ominous sandstorm like the quest described.".

Rebekah had finally snapped out of her aloofness, and turned to face the group, did she miss something. It was just a Kiru joke between the two players, so it was not much.she too also saw the sandstorm approaching and realize they should start moving before it becomes worse. The wind was starting to pick up a bit more, and she realized if she had packed enough supplies to get her through the desert. Nonetheless, everyone else was prepared, so she did not want to hold them back any longer. She replied, "Let's get going then since we are all ready." They were all quite strong, and could probably get through the entire quest without consuming a single health potion if they wanted to, so there was nothing really to prepare.
