PP - F3 The Air Monster, Ziz Part 1 (Azide, Rebekah) (The Three Beasts Series) (Completed)

It was the break that they had been waiting for. The girl knew that she was not going to waste this opportunity at all and it was time to finally kill it at the end of the day. She was not planning on wasting any more time on the thing, as it should have been killed a long time ago, and not now. It had made them ran around in circles trying to chase after it, but that was no more. Rebekah saw the opening that she needed, as it was too tired to reposition, and dashed forward before it could attempt to fly away once more. She knew that she was going to do just enough damage, as she wanted to save her energy, so she picked one of her mid level skills rather than her best one, because there was no reason to use all of her energy if she did not need it.

With a flurry of lightning-fast jabs, the blonde accomplished the task which had eluded them for longer than he could have cared; as the girl's attack animation came to an end, the glow faded quickly from the slender blade of Heartstriker. Proud Ziz- colossal, airborne Ziz- plummeted towards the ground with all the grace and splendor of a sack of potatoes. In reality, it hadn't been that long since the fight had started- at least, keeping in mind the framework of an entire day. But when battles went awry, minutes felt awfully reminiscent of hours... But in any case, he allowed himself to release the breath which had been held within his lungs. Relief came not from the vanquishing of a threat, but rather the elimination of yet another unneeded burden. Trivial, meticulous and menial; all three faithfully described the battle which they'd disengaged from- coincidentally, three of the things which he hated the most in any world.

"Finally!" said Azide, as he raced on over. He slipped Chemikaze back into its pouch, coming to a halt only a short distance away from Rebekah. "I'd been under the belief that we were going to be fighting that thing for the rest of our lives." He shook his head, before scratching it lightly as a quiet smile appeared along his lips. "Can't believe you ended up in Azure," he added, biting his tongue only a moment afterward. It was obvious why they'd sought her out- she was, after all, quite strong. But a bunch like that? He could hardly begin to comprehend how she'd seen herself belonging to that sort.

Clearing his throat, he turned to the other member of their trio. "I think I'm ready to call it a day. What do you guys say we turn in for the night?" he asked, lifting his gaze to the black veil above.

Calrex looked over to see that Rebekah had gone forward and dealt the killing blow to the creature. However, there was a strange difference between this creature's destruction and all of the others that the three had encountered in the past. Rather than gaining a blue tinted overlay before dissipating into crystals, the gigantic creature seemingly gave a death wail before it slowly descended out of the skies before crashing into the ground. As its form started to slowly disperse the body remained still, the bits and pieces of the creature;s avatar fading like black feathers off a shadow. It was certainly an unusual death animation sequence from before.

The bluenette made note of the different as he gave a calming breath, sheathing the Grand Blade back into its scabbard as he gave a nod to his teammates, "Nice work you two. That was certainly a difficult creature to take down. At the least we can say we were the first ones to actually encounter something like this. But in any case it looks like we used up quite a large bit of time combating it. Let's go back for some rest."

Turning the Ultramarine Knight gave a nod as he guided the two back towards the settlement before parting ways with them, heading for the teleportation circle.
