PP - F13 Salvation vs. Corruption <<The Falling of Tagas>> (Teayre, Ariel, Zandra, Oikawa) (Completed)

[Oikawa 1]

No sooner than he had dismantled the last Mage Knight, their main threat decided to spawn, Tagas. Oikawa glanced around to see where everyone was positioned. As he did, he noticed Teayre sprinting off. Why would she exit without a word? Does Calrex know?  His gaze shifted to the bluenette who also seemed to notice. Considering his next action consisted of activating <Howl>, he assumed that Teayre had a good reason. Returning his focus to the battle that seemed to be just starting, he observed Ariel's attack. Rather than waste the energy, Oikawa sat back next to Zandra and opted to recover some energy.

As Tagas was struck by the attacks Calrex gave a calming breath as he nodded to his teammates, "Nice work. Get ready, he should be transforming soon!"

As he turned his head back he saw the angel was already raising his sword to try and strike the Ultramarine Knight down. However, with another quick leap to the side the field boss' massive slab of a sword crashed into the ground where he was previously standing. Executing a quick roll the bluenette quickly landed back on his feet, raising his sword high once again.

"Better make sure that when he does transform he's for sure going after me."

Activating <<Howl>> once again, the light blue aura surrounding him before he released the energy in the form of another monstrous roar.

Readying his blade he gave a calming breath and waited for the boss' next move.

It seems that the rest of the group settled with conserving their energy. The blonde felt a bit...dumb as she charged towards it instead. Now she let out a sigh as Cal once again howled and got a enormous amount of hate. She went towards the rest of the passive players and took a sit on the ground, rapier still in hand she began drawing stick figures representing them and the boss... putting their current formation and a couple of mean comments in japanese. "So...how long do we have to wait until it transforms?" she asked in a bored voice as this was not what she signed in for.

Zandra sat down on a rock, she felt a little uneasy, not beeing able to do something, except wait for the boss to evolve, and there was nothing they could do, except Calrex, he had built up a huge amount of hate by activating that howl skil twice. But she knew it was soon time for the boss to go fully corrupted. She had been going thru several times what she was gonna do and when in her head. Now when the time was closing in, it was time to prepare. She attached the whip at her waist and instead brougth forth the horn she had got from Teayre. She was so happy that she let her have it. A damage dealer like her wouldnt have as much use for it as Zandra that was consetrating on support.

Oikawa glanced up as Calrex garnered some more Hate with the use of another <Howl>. If the blonde recalled correctly, Tagas should be going fully corrupted in matter of minutes. The time elapsed quicker than he had imagined and he soon found himself standing. Shifting his gaze to Ariel and Zandra, he gave them a nod, referring to the chaos that was sure to ensue. Drawing his unique blade, the blonde pointed it at Tagas, as the ground began to shake and the room lights began to flicker. Almost forgetting that Ariel had inquired about the time until his corruption, Oikawa offered a half chuckle as he responded. "Right about now o' clock. You guys ready?"

Right as Oikawa spoke Calrex looked to see the angel seem to turn a darker shade of gray, the field boss' eyes turning a dark glowing red as the grip on its oversized sword tightened, "Yep, you guys got it. Alright, let's hit it as hard as we can!"

"Unfortunately, this might be the best I can do for now. I just hope Ariel and Oikawa can make up for it and Zandra can keep us alive!"

The Grand Blade lit up with a shining blue glow as he rushed forward, activating his <<Nova Ascension>> Sword Art. The barrage of eight slashes left light cuts on the angel before the Ultramarine Knight leapt up, turning and jamming his hilt into the creature's head. Confirming the stun effect had triggered he leapt back, giving a nod to his teammates, "Let him have it!"

After a while, as Calrex continued to accumulate hate in order to give us handling space, the mob finally took its final form and became corrupted. The Ultramarine Knight greeted him with a stunning and now it was her turn to act. Trying to raise herself up the blonde found that her leg had gone numb. 'This is why I have waiting' she thought and after a few more attempts of rising she collapsed on the ground and stretched her leg, beginning to lightly massage it. "Human error over here, you guys go ahead until I warm up!" she said to the rest of the group.

[Zandra 0]

Zandra inhaled alot of air, reday to blow the horn. But just as her lips touched the mouthpiece, she saw Calrex already stunned it. Well ofcourse, that would be much smarter now that they only had one opponent. Then she use the horn when the angel is immun to stun effect. The the only thing is to damage it. She quickly changed back to the whip. None of her attacks would be higher then its mitigation, so to not waste energy she charged her weakest sword art. She looked into the angels eyes when approching it, ready to strike when she was in range. But just she could reach him, there was a rock pointing up a little to high from the ground. Zandra herd a crack when her toes on her right foot hitted the hard object. She lost her balance and fell with her face on the ground, lost her opportunity to attack. She rose and went back to the others.

Calrex gave a nod as he watched both Ariel and Zandra attempted to attack, but then became unable to do so due to various reasons. He awaited for Oikawa to attack, but then looked and saw that the blonde had suddenly disappeared. Cursing under his breath he gave a small sigh before turning back to face Tagas, who had once again tried to strike at him to no avail, "Great, a turn of missed attacks and we're down a fighter. This is not good."

Quickly rushing forward he activated his <<Meteor Break>> Sword Art, rapidly striking the field boss with tackles and slashes before he finished with a powerful falling slash, taking away a chunk of its health bar, "I'm nowhere close to dealing enough damage to carry the rest of us."

"Alright guys, get yourselves ready and start attacking! I'll do what I can, but we need some heavy hits soon, or else this fight is going to be dragged out."

Seeing Calrex strike the mob, the blonde realized that it was time to act. She stood up, her numbness disappearing: "Okay coach, my turn!" she said activating her charged skill and passing by Calrex. She stopped it in front of the 'corrupt one and activated her most powerful skill, starting a acrobatic and swordsmanship display composed by a total combo of 13 hits. Her blade glowed released an intense dark blue aura as more and more red wound areas appeared all over the front of Tagas body. She would finish her last strike and pant as the system assist finally disengaged. She didn't want to image the strain over her body if she had to do it with only her stamina.

Zandra saw that Oikawa left their party by some reason. First Zandra left, thou she returned, then Teayre and now Oikawa that had just joined them. Now they was down to only two damage dealers, yes she could do damage, one point per turn. She looked from side to side, hoped that maybe someone would jump out from behind a rock or something. Calrex and Ariel dealt quite some damage to the corrupted, thou they wouldnt be able to keep this up for very long due to dropping energy. Even if it wasnt much, she guessed she could at least try to attack it. To save energy, for what realy? She charged up her Crack of Dawn sword art, ready to strike the enemy. When she felt it was ready, she realesed it. Thou she wasnt any luckier this time compared to the previous. The tip of her whip hitted straight down in the ground. She went back to the other two.''Sorry guys.''

Calrex gave a calming breath as he weaved out of the way of another strike as Tagas' blade reduced a collection of graves to dust, gritting his teeth as he rushed forward, unleashing <<Meteor Break>>> once again as the flurry of strikes slammed and slashed into the field boss for another bit of its health. "Tch...still nowhere near enough to make up for having one less teammate."

The blonde gritted her teeth as she saw that their energy was falling while Tagas HP bar barely dropped a third. It seems they will have to make a 'tactical retreat' and recover energy before attacking it again. That tactic would be useless if the boss would regen while they did.... and honestly thinking differently would be just wishful thinking. It seemed that they were in a pinch.

Still, she couldn't just stay there and watch it as it attacked Calrex. Once again, she activated her most powerful sword art..... reaching a total combo of 36 hits so far on the boss. Her damage was significantly lowered as now charge wasn't usable anymore. "Zandra you focus on healing as I have a feeling that this battle is going to drag on for quite a while." she was saying that but the truth was that she saw no way they could to defeat it in their current formation... except using Cal as a meat shield, which she was severely against.

Zandra saw both Calrex and Ariel deliver another pair of combos that reduced its health by quite a bit. She herself havent dealt even a single point of damage. Thou that wasnt why she was there, she was there to keep Calrex at full health, but she havent been able to do that since he have been at full health all this time. Calrex told her to continue use her rank 1 sword arts and Ariel said she would focus on healing him. Thou she couldnt do what Ariel asked of her at the moment, so she charged up her weakest sword art. But she felt something, like its was gonna get released with alot more power then she expected. She raised her arm and let it fall forward, the cross which was attached to the spiked chain flew over her, on its way towards the taga. It stroke it in the middle of its body, but still it barely reduced its health all, but it left a tiny red dot at least.''Well, almost something.'' she turned to Ariel.''Ariel, I'll consentrate on healing Cal if you rests to get your energy up, can you get out of combat?'' she said looking at the blonde.

Quickly leaping to the side Calrex looked and saw an opening as he quickly rushed forward, unleashing <<Meteor Break>> once again. As his golden cuts bit into the field boss he saw they cut deeper than last time, more of the fallen angel's HP being removed from before, "If a critical hit did that..."

"Tch...we might have a shot after all. Gh!"

Dropping to a knee he looked and saw his energy drop below the level needed to activate his most powerful technique, shy by just one point, "I'll be able to use it again once I'm able to act again, so if we add on the amount Ariel can do...it'll still take some time. Darn, of all the times to not have any energy recovery items on me."

The blonde cursed as she saw that she couldn't use her highest tier skill again, scrolling through her inventory she found a single bottle of 'energy drink' from the two that she got from Takao a while back. Cursing internally for their lack of preparations for this type of events the blonde decided to gulp it down in one go and restore some of her energy. "It's still not enough.." she muttered as the energy bar was showing 1 energy short of the amount she needed for her Over Radiation sword art. She wouldn't settle for less than that as she had just to wait a short while to regen it. "As Cal said it, I can't do that Z.... Will have to make it through somehow..." she said, anger slowly building up inside her. 'This is not how it was supposed to be!' she thought inside crushing the now empty bottle in her hand, making it explode into pixels.

Zandra saw both of her teammates that was still there was running pretty low on energy. They would be able to deliver one powerful attack each, then it would take a long time to regain the needed energy. At least they should be able to hold out a long time since thanks to Calrex evasion, the taga havent even hitted him yet, and if her does, the damage not gonna be very high. The only thing Zandra could do as long as Calrex stayed unharmed was delivering one dmage hits on it. But as soon as he became injured, she would make sure he wents back at full health pretty quickly. But now, damage. She charged up her 'crack of dawn' again and aimed at their opponent.

She was just gonna take a step closer to get in reange, but then a stone decided to be right infront of her toes. She grit her teeths when hearing a small crack and then planting her face in the ground. She pushed herself up.''Im realy useless.'' she said when starting to prepare for her next attack.

Looking back forward Calrex saw yet another series of blows come at him as he quickly ducked his head to dodge a horizontal slash before quickly leaping to the side as Tagas' blade crashed into the ground where he was originally standing. Quickly checking back he saw Ariel use an energy recovery item while Zandra...faceplanted.

"We can do this guys, although I think more likely than not it'll be dragged out due to out lack of another attacker. However, I'm sure we've dealt with worse. Zandra, keep using only your Rank 1 Sword Arts, but be prepared for healing. I'm not sure how long I'll be able to keep these dodges up. Ariel, once you're back hit this thing with all you've got!"

"Chin Up Z, we can't do this without you!" said the blonde as she saw her energy restore by a unit, it wasn't much but it was all she needed to use her skills for one last time. Rushing past Calrex she activated the Over radiation that delivered another salve of 13 hits, stabs and thrusts in a beautiful display of swordsmanship backed up by her own personal experience. The total hit combo she did so far was 49 but now... she was left without energy and would have to rest and get Cal on tanking duty. She decided to listen to the Ultramarine Knight and stand by for now, materializing a HP crystal and ready to use a rank 1 stunning sword art if the situation gotten worse. "Okay guys, I'll leave it to you for a while!" she said with deep reticence in her tone.

She said they cant do this without her."Thank you Ariel, I will keep that in mind." She turned herfocus on the Taga. When it was ready, she released her attack. She made a chop like move with her right arm which made the cross at the end of the chain flying thru the air. And this time it hitted home."Yay, second hit there."
