[PP-F5] Mat Gathering Adventure! (Ebony, Zandra)

As Hikoru walked around the 5th floor for one of the few times that he came to this level, he looked at the board and saw that only one or two people were on the board for Mat Gathering. Knowing he was probably going to get a few customers, he decided to give it a shot and put his name up

Cost: As much as 25% Cut of Mats, more is acceptable but not mandatory

With a smile he pressed send and soon saw it appear on the board before him, and he want to the nearest inn to relax and gear up for this upcoming adventure

"I hope I get someone soon..." He thought to himself as he made his way into the inn silently and sat alone near the center

It looked like someone had decided to advertise that they were a material gatherer on the fifth floor. Yup, the fifth floor, the hottest, sandiest, and probably the most uncomfortable flor discovered to far, at least to her. She hated the heat. She was only there to help out players with the Blood in the Sand quest, otherwise she would be quite literally chilling on the fourth floor. No one looked to be doing the quest today though, and she needed materials for an order she had received the other day. She didn't remember the persons username at the moment, and the order had been placed through a not that was placed on her counter, so she didn't know what they looked like either. There was nothing to do but get some mats and make the item. She looked around the inn for the player named Hikoru. "Is there a Hikoru here?" She called out in a friendly voice.

Zandra saw an advertisement about a material hunt. It was awhile ago since she last did that. She wasnt in need of any materials just yet. But since her stock reduces by about ten each day she was better on heading out now then when beeing at zero. She took her holy riata and exited her shop. The gathering party was gonna take place at fifth, so she warped up from snowfrost town. She looked thru the message again. It seemed it was gonna take place on an inn. When the inn got in sight she saw a brunette entering right in front of her. The girl asked if there was someone named Hikoru in here. Zandra recognized the voice. She gently placed her hand on the girls shoulder."So your here for material party as well Ebony?" Looking after where the third member was.

Hikoru perked up his head, pulling down his hood off his head. He looked to see what looked to be two women, both of what seemed a much higher level than he was. He shrugged and stood up, a job was a job. He came over and nodded

"I'm Hikoru." He said with a bow "And I'm guessing your both here for the application hm?" He said, standing. He looked at the two players. Both seemed like good people, but there was something about the girl with the word Ebony above her head, but he couldn't put his finger on it. He shrugged and nodded

"Well there's no point with just sitting and do nothing. I believe we should start soon. As though my Loot finding is adequate, I had put an order for a ring some time ago to a person who owned... What was it... Ah! The Black Rose!" He said, remembering the shop quite well. "This ring would double my chances, putitng up my Loot Level up to a decent level for what I am now..." He said with a shrug "But oh well I suppose... Come, lets get started" He said, motioning to the door

It looked like Zandra had shown up to the party as well. She turned around to say hi to her but was interrupted by the man named Hikoru. She turned him, a smirk appearing on her face. This certainly wasnt unusual, as she smirked a lot, but the reason was that he had ordered from her shop and didn't even recognize her. She opened up her inventory and pulled out a black diamond, holding it out to him. "This attaches to you armor, clothing or weapon and gives you a loot boost." It had the same stats as the item he had ordered from her.

"Certainly not. No point in getting to know the people who your going to go out of the safe zone with. Especially not as the two seem to be acquainted with one another and might be in league together plotting to kill you and take your col. Dont worry about it though, it's probably fine." She said, her smirk growing wider as she pointed out the error in the man's reasoning. She turned back to Zandra and gave her a gentle punch to the shoulder in greeting. "Lets head out then!" She declared.

Zandra saw a hooded man coming to the pair of girls that had just entered the inn. He pulled back his hood and introduced himself to be the man they was looking for. Zandra looked when Ebony gave, or loaned, a thing that would increase the mans chances of finding materials. She scratched hthe back of her head.''Oh nice, you seems to be pretty ready for this.'' she scrolled thru her inventory until she found 'mask of finding'. It looked like one of those fancy masquared masks, but it only covered half her face. She was thinking of eating some food as well that would increase her chanses even more. But when she looked thru her inventory it seemed there was none left.''Well, I agree with you both, lets head out.''

Hikoru looked at the tiny crystal and was a little confused, and as he took it, he noticed something about the craftsmanship. He looked at the girl with intensity, and then it clicked. This was the girl that he went to for his order. He sighed and facepalmed himself in his mind as he remembered that the owned The Black Rose. He nodded and pulled out his Leopard Plushie, Wrapping it around his blade Back-Biter, and then took the small, Black diamond to the hem of his collar. It jingled and felt a bit irritable at first, but he would have to deal with it. With it on there, he was sure not to forget about it.

He nodded at the girls and made his way outside into the desert. He looked around, and saw that the city gate was ahead of them. He made his way over, taking lead, and leaving the gate silently, not a word to be spoken. He looked around, and saw a good amount of sand around them. He sighed and turned to the two girls

"Looks like were digging for a bit then..." He said with a small chuckle. He moved out a little more and decided to dig, seeing if he could find anything

Ebony wasnt entirely sure why they were digging in the sand rather than fighting mobs which would get them mats for sure. It wasn't a big deal though. She could dig in the sand too, and probably do a better job than the mat gatherer too. She got down on her knees and started to scoop the sand with her hands, searching for anything that could be used as a material. She couldn't seem to find anything though, at least at first. The better stuff was probably a bit deeper anyway.

Zandra followed the two out in the desert. When they have comed not that far away, they both started to dig in the sand. She scratched the back of her head. What was they gonna find there? Well, probably something useful. But she didnt wanted to kneel down and dig. So she looked around if there could be anything on the surface. When she was here last time, she had found several cactus. But now she couldnt even spot a single one. She let out a sigh and sat down. Guessed she should start digging as well.

Hikoru sighed and gave up on this hole. He got out, making his way up and looking around, moving to another location and started digging once more

Ebony continued to dig, sifting the sand through her fingers, looking for anything that might be useful. It was tedious work, and it didnt seem to be very productive, but after about five minutes of sifting she came across a small chunk of amber, perfect for carving or the like. She looked up at the others and stored it in her inventory. They could sort the mats out between them later.

Zandra saw that Hikoru climbed out of the hole. Seemed without any luck at all. A few moments later she saw Ebony, seemed she had found something. A stone of some sort if she didnt was mistaken. But before she could see what kind of stone it have been placed in Ebonys inventory. So if you dig there is a possibility to find something useful. Could it be somwthing possible to use in brewing and crystal making? Just before she would start digging she was surronded byfour big beetles. She immediatly charged up her AOE skill and slayed them all. The reward screen gave her four materials."Nice, there we go!"

Hikoru heard scuttling, and the sudden onslaught of evaporating pixels when he saw Zandra kill quite afew creatures over where she was. He couldn't make out what they were, but he would have to guess something in the desert. A beetle or a snake maybe. He looked over and cupped his hands

"You alright over there?" He asked, making sure everything was okay before he did anything else.

As he looked around him, he saw that there was something shining in the sands a ways off. He made his way over and picked up the piece of what looked to be... Amethyst? He shrugged and put it away into his bag. He had no idea how it had gotten there. Maybe a player dropped it on accident? Who knows...

Ebony hated this sort of mat hunting. It was dirty, hard, and took forever to get anything. She preferred doing what Zandra had just done, slicing up a bunch of lesser mobs and hoping for the best. It was certainly easier than digging in the sand. She continued to sift, not finding anything that was useful in the slightest. Still, it wasnt going all that badly. They were still getting materials which was different from what Ebony was used to with this type of mat hunting.

Finaly she was getting some materials. Thou it would only be enough for half a day of crafting, almost. Then she herd the mans voice asking if she was alright. She looked at the digger and scratched the back of her head.''Well, you dont have to worry, not at all. These low level mobs wont do any harm to me. She actually was glad they attacked her, then she could gain some materials. She looked around if there was any other group of desert libing animals. She didnt saw anything, but it coul suddenly jump out from the sand and attacking her. And she was right. Suddenly the sand around her started to move and four small sand-elementals was surronding her. With a small sigh she repeted what she ahd done towards the beetles, another reward screen poped up and gave her four more materials.

Hikoru saw the girl fighting low level monsters, and it seemed like a good idea. He smiled and got up, looking around using his Search and Detect Ability and spotting four small Snakes. He snuck up behind it and made his way slowly towards them, Circling Back-Biter in the air and sending them at the small snakes, and they die and turn to pixels before his eyes, and before they even knew what was happening

Ebony smirked. It looked like they were both doing what she had thought would be more productive. This digging had been getting on her nerves, so it was good that they could move onto doing something else. She unsheathed her dagger and attacked a nearby group of weak scorpions, using Round Accel and harvesting their stingers. "Things look to be going pretty well, dont you think?" She asked.

Zandra saw both of her traveling companions following her example and slaying weak mobs. It did require you to hit them, but it would reward you with four times as much materials compared to digging in the sand, harvesting cactuses or any other farming method. This way it went much, much faster. Enough of thinking, she was here to get materials, she better finds another group om ambient creatures. But unfortunatly, there wasnt any mobs nearby nor any other useful things she could harvest.

Hikoru sighed and sheathed Back Biter. He was already tired from that one attack. This is why he dug instead of fought. He turned to the two girls.

"You guys go on ahead and keep fighting. I have to wait for my energy bar." He said simply as he went back to digging. He dug in his previous hole to no prevail. He sighed and sat back, waiting for his Energy to come back and watching the others fight

Ebony nodded to Hikoru who had gone back to digging in the sand. She took a moment to glance around the area for any mats that might be lying around. None. Seeing as they were going to be fighting mobs, even if they were just small ones, she unequipped her ebony rose and equipped her shield. She flipped her dagger, Dagger of the Blessed, around into a reverse grip, holding the medium sized circular shield at the ready. She likely wouldn't need any of the enhancements on it, but she thought that it made her look cooler.
