  2. Raidou slides abruptly and without even a second of hesitation unleashes his blade in a blur of red. The king only manages to look in Nisa's direction before its blindsided by a glowing yellow blade, catching on the seam of its lip and being dragged down its massive hide. A huge tear of data exposed, the wireframe on full display as its cut from head to tail. Collapsing to its side, it shutters in a last bit of resistance before its bar appears and empties out completely. The massive pop sends data in all which way, leaving nothing more then a small clearing where it landed and a fleeting mome
  3. Without the faintest of interest as the other NPC slowly travels in to greet them, the woman does perk up noticing a pair of familiar faces. "Odd bumping into you two this far down." Nisahime remarks as she'd use her hands to stand from her seated position, taking a moment to dust off her backside. "This is certainly going to be short, its a party." The woman quips flicking open her menu and firing off an invite to the both of them. Moments later the quest prompt appears, given it was waiting solely on Sewallus's arrival. With a tap of her index finger, the quest would update to her companions
  4. The narrow walks of Floor 8 were just as pungeant as always. Hot and humid, the insects larger then some dogs. Streaks of color that broke up the monotony of greens that seemed to fill every inch of his perception. The glasses on his nose pushed up against his brow, casting light in a shine across them. The rustle caught dead through attuned hearing, movement in the brush that alluded to other occupants. Finding not only a very familiar Sewallus but his wife in tow. A welcome intervention to plans already made, the man would offer a smile and a wave. "Take it that means someone's after the kin

  7. On her knees in the deep forest of floor eight, she was working on one of her skills. Out of seemingly nowhere she sees a shadow pass over her. Glancing up to the crunching of twigs and leaves splattered on the dirt ground. A familiar face from a quest that she had done what seemed like ages ago. "Hey Sewallus where you off too?" Getting up to her feet, dusting off her knees. The man wrapping it was almost looked like wood armor at first glance, she knew better, it was metal. The material was just made to blend in with the environment that he walked in everyday. "I just got notified that I nee
  8. A strange mix of nostalgia and irritation filled and fueled the woman as she'd listen on to the droning from Remington as he tried to outline what he wanted from her. Apparently there was some great ape that was wrecking shop and causing all manner of mischief for the locals, and none of their attempts to settle the issue had bore any fruit. All attempts express the danger of the situation leaves the woman in the same nestled position on a overturned log, her foot limply bouncing with her chin pressed into her palm visibly bored. Efforts to explain how his research was halted, but it always wa
  9. Attempting to break apart the bridge while you were still on it seemed like a bad idea. Adelyte slammed her hammer against the wooden boards, only to find an <<Immortal Object>> error appear below her. Saved by the system, Hackman supposed. If only Cardinal would work a little harder and clear out the mobs for them as well. He knelt down, taking his knife to the rope on the left hand side. With the serrated edge, he sawed at it until it came apart. The bridge corner of the bridged dipped low, and the mobs on the other side grew hesitant. Some attempted to cross anyway. Ha
  10. After a short break from her new friend Warren, they would soon to reconvene on floor eight were their first target in the quest chain. Hopefully her new attire wasn't too jarring. She had decided to change her skills around in hopes that she would never feel the pain of being impaled again. This was a good time for her to take in the sights of Floor Eight, though. It was in her nature to just explore while she waited for her company to arrive, so she walked around the teleportation platform and spoke with some of the local NPCs while browsing some of their shops. Another dense jungle sim

  12. "Combat is absolutely necessary. It doesn't really mean I enjoy participating in it most of the time. I can never shake the feeling that death could be a simple as one attack away... I have to tell my mother about the beauties this virtual world has offered me. Even if I can't see her smile... I can imagine it now." Firefly was aware of how immediately she'd made the conversation heavy so she would decide to try and leave it there unless Pollux pressed her again. The two watched the gray house cat cause havoc to the scenery just around the guild hall. Hopefully no one was trying to upkeep

  16. The trip back to Richard's shop was less than a few minutes. Never in her life did she think she would be such a good navigator but the map system in the game made it so easy to chart a quick path back to town. Upon her return, Richard would greet her again. "You find what we need to get started? Perfect! Come over here to the table and show me how well you weave!" And weave she did. The results were far beyond anything an amateur would produce to the point that she just assumed that it had to have been insane luck on her part. Perhaps it was even just Richard's guidance. "Well, just

  19. OUT OF COMBAT POST 2 Mari was beginning to feel the cold, the group of ice elemental that had quite literally melted on top of her left her entire upper half soaked. The woman didn't like it. She sneezed, followed by a sniffle of her nose. Mari would take off her scarf, hiding it away in her inventory. Mari wished she was a hoarder, she wished she had a blanket or something hiding away somewhere, but she didn't. Maybe once her and Lancaster were married...she'd share his inventory and Mari just knew the man probably had a little bit of everything. He struck her as a hoader - the type to
  20. OUT OF COMBAT POST 1 With the last wave dealt with Mari fell silent, listening for the sounds of the light tinkling and breaking glass that signaled oncoming waves of elementals but she was met with a welcomed silence. Did that mean she finally wiped out the majority of them? The woman hoped so. That meant her goal to clear out things around her house was closer than she thought. Mari took this small reprieve to head toward the entrance to her hidden workshop. Mari wouldn't go into it just shift past it - ensuring that it was still hidden. And it was. The gap still looked complete
  21. In her efforts to dodge the incoming attacks, however, Firefly found herself aggroing another group of mobs. They joined the fight ready to send Firefly to the grave for the mere inconvenience she gave them that was getting in their path. Surrounded now, both hands gripped the cross blade. Her feet left the ground for a moment as she spun the heavy blade around her. Like a tornado of emerald death, the blade turned her foes into nothing more than soon-to-be recycled data. The only thing left was the petals of grass that were caught up in the fierceness of her spin. Her amazement of the po
  22. With weapon in hand, Firefly headed to the unsafe areas of the lower floor to find some fodder that was high enough level for her to loot. Thankfully she was well aware of level capped areas on the starting floor that even someone so many levels higher were capable of fighting at an equal footing. A group of hornets from this spot was exactly what she was looking for. Once she found a decent bunch of them gathered together, Firefly jumped in immediately and surprised them with a wide swing. She was never really good at hitting multiple targets though. Some quests relied on attacking thing
  23. On floor one, probably her most explored floor at this point, yet still she missed so much, Firefly was indulging on a hobby that she was not really capable of doing in the real world: Sewing. Her mother always told her about how she enjoyed sewing but never had the time to invest in it. Perhaps having a blind daughter was part of the reason but she wasn't going to put all that blame on herself. Her mother surely wouldn't. The quest location was in a shop among the outer layers of the Town of Beginnings in a shop owned by a man named Richard Textillion. The man that greeted her was not th
  24. “Why Mi Amore? Why risk your life to conform to ideals others set for you?” Lancaster asked, his voice breaking - hands shaking as they dropped his coffee cup. He stumbled toward her, wrapping her into a tight embrace as Mari told him today was the day she’d take on Redemption. Mari shook her head. Her heart hurt, this was a very real fear for the both of them. They had fought so hard to ensure no one would tear them apart, and yet…here she stood, threatening that very thing with her own actions. “This isn’t for anyone else but myself, I had trained for this, yearned for this
  25. In the past Mari would have insisted on Redemption, come hell or high water, and her sheer stubbornness and disregard for her own life would lead to her refusing to leave till she defeated it, or she died. That was the past, now she had people she felt close to, she had people she loved, she even had people she considered family. Dying wasn't an option. Not for her. Not anymore. Mari would let her weapon light up in a blaze as she let it tear and melt through yet another set of ice elementals. Come to think of it, had she fully spoken to Lancaster about it? Mari mentioned it
  26. Mari had the teleportation crystals, the healing crystals, antidotes, potions, battle healing, hellstorm... There was no way she couldn't be more prepared than she was now. If there were other ways, she would not know. Oscar was one contingency, but there were others. The woman would have reached out to her brother - but he seemed to be missing...rather, both him and his partner. Ever since that fateful day with Lancaster. Mari had to wonder if she were to blame, or if that was the final nail in the coffin and something within him snapped and he decided to just disappear from the world. M
