    Anyhow. Hi. I suppose this crossposts on my journal nitpick post with being an intro.

    Yay for shamelessness.

     

    Well I'm interested to see where to go with this. Maybe my spear usage evolves into a glaive, which are so much fun to use, even if I did nearly break someones arm in full armour using it. They are just that scarily dangerous >.> Then again, I don't think glaives exist in SAO, so eh.

     

    So yeah, let's have fun! :D I'm not really afraid to do anything, though I doubt my character will be any sort of PK'er. He'll be switching probably between solo and small team play.

    Hello folks!

    This RP caught my notice and decided to join. I suppose in some ways this counts as an intro post too. Male, 18, UK, doing a job, in a relationship etc. etc. im pretty happy to give out my facebook if people ask.

    In terms of SAO media, I'm in the middle of reading the SAO LN, at the Fairy Dance arc right now.

    Roleplayers who go on other sites, I go as PicaPirate on the RPNation roleplaying site. Feel free to RP with me there if I'm not overloaded with stuff, like right now.

    Must admit the lack of bbcode for spoilers or tabs here is an annoyance.

     

    Anyhow, back to the topic at hand. I made a character and would appreciate any constructive feedback on the character. They are still very much a WIP, with fine tuning and such to make.

    The medieval combat experience is drawn from my own, since every weekend I go hit people with blunted metal spears and such. It's great fun too.

    So yeah, Fire away!

     

    UPDATE: Well, he's accepted. Nevertheless, I don't shy away from continually improving the character based on feedback. All part of the RP'ing after all!

    Tristan Delaney is the Manager of a Game store in the UK, a widely popular chain of videogaming stores across the nation. His childhood was utterly average with nothing exceptional, aside from his past romances which failed after a few years. He spent most of his time playing games, serving customers or talking about games with people. As part of the higher in the shops, he would often be invited to 'first impression' and such things by developers or publishers to test things about and see things before they were on the general market.
    It turned out one of these things was to play the game Sword Art Online. Sadly however he did not make it into the beta testing, something that left him slumped. Nonetheless, he kept his training up with extra combat training sessions in the real world and playing MMO's of a sadly lesser quality to ensure his experience was top notch.

    When the Nerve Gear released, the company paid for a promotional event where him and other store managers went to try the Nerve Gear in Japan. It was one of the typical events done for managers of the videogame store chain retailers for their managers to test upcoming games. And so, as all other players did, this man plugged himself into the world of Sword Art Online.
    » Virtues:
    Spear adept - Tristan would on weekends and during the holiday season do medieval combat re-enactment with the Historia Normannis group. As such he has training in live combat for years on fighting with spears, giving him a good speed and strength with a spear, tactics on fighting with them to add.

    Physically fit - As a combination of his combat re-enactment and hitting the gym twice a week (to boost his self-confidence and image) he is fit as a person. He isn't of world qualifying athletic level, but don't expect him to start running out of breath or go sluggish any time soon. It also means he hits hard too.

    Kind - While he may be socially dysfunctional with his bluntness, he has by no means a cold heart. He can overcome his apathy in gestures of kindness, such as helping a person, especially a friend. It's only when it is to do with strangers or of not so much a kind deed that he is too apathetic to do it.

    » Flaws:
    Naive - Sometimes he really just doesn't get it, when its plainly obvious. Can be battle strategies, but is most often during conversations with people, so don't expect him to fully pick up or understand signs people give.

    (Removed by defeating his inner demons in the Gemini and Calming the Soul) Apathetic - Tristan is not that energetic a person. As such don't expect him to start bounding with energy to do something, when he'd be rather having a lie down somewhere.

    Blunt - Tristan is a man who gets to the point, literally and figuratively. Don't expect him to write a poem for you or something long winded, because he will straight up say it. Causes him a lot of social problems and has been the cause of broken relationships and friendships.
