Master Bedroom: -1 energy cost for the first three expenditures of each combat 1/3 -- Mari only needed to take a few steps into the ant's territory before she was swarmed by 4 large warriors. Some wore helmets, one even had a chestplate strapped to its abdomen, however it wasn't tied up properly. The ants kinda lacked opposable thumbs. Still. It meant they were smarter than regular ants - they had the ability to adapt to their surroundings. Even had the mind to loot fallen soldiers and potentially even players. Mental note: Ask Freyd or Oscar if anyone has died to ants on that memorial

Post Action: Used 1 x Hellstorm Potion | (T2/Consumable/Single Use); Apply an additional (20*Player's Tier) unmitigated damage to every attack for a single thread. "Guah....I hate hotdogs..." Mari muttered. Mari was thankful that she was able to gain the Custom Skill from Oscars store...but, did she have to gain it in the form of....a hot dog... Mari didn't really like them. She didn't like the taste, she didn't like the whole shebang - at least, with Oscar being the professional cook he was...it hadn't been half bad. "Squabble up...huh..." Mari said as she stared at her HUD. Going

"I felt like that too. Not knowing if the reason you're doing something is right the call." Mari tried to sympathize - but it was difficult. She had to make that decision so many times. The weight of those lives and choices once weighed so heavy on her shoulders to the point where she collapsed under the sheer pressure. Now? She was somewhat desensitized to it all. She wasn't sure if that was a good thing or not, but the sting of those lives no longer bothered her. Mari cast out her line, continuing to listen to Hirru, how he felt that his own reason wasn't good enough. "So?" came h

Mari sat cross legged on a small boulder; not too far from the path into the main settlement - normally she’d do her best to keep out of sight from passerby, but she was waiting for Corvo and needed to be in a more obvious area, lest he walk past. Not that Mari thought Corvo would be the kind of person to do that… actually…he would be the person to do that. Just to spite her, considering their last proper conversation before her incarceration. So much for trying to keep in contact. At least she saw him at the crab boil. Not that Mari had the time to be able to really talk with him all that muc

"S'pose that's part of the reason why so many people stay in safezones. Hard to know who to trust out here." Mari snorted, If only he knew. Another flurry of snap dragons came out, and Mari had to kick one of them away as they tried to gnaw fruitlessly at her boot. It gave a yelp which was drowned out as with another slash of her halberd, it's cries died out, along with its brethren. It...was almost too easy doing this. Her EN was slowly dwindling but the amount of col and loot she had gained from this small expedition more than made up for it. "Can't blame people for that, really. Proble -
Somehow, this conversation felt nice. There wasn’t any terse word spoken between them. No bitter misunderstandings, just truth. Granted, some of it hurt - but it was the two of them finally being honest. Finally being able to face each other. It felt like a weight was being removed, one Mari didn’t know was there. It felt like she could breathe a little easier. It felt like she was able to actually look at him, even if Thom didn’t know who he was yet - it felt like Mari was finally seeing a part of him. Not the part that told her he loved her, not the part that would hold her in an attempt to

Mari slid from her standing position to a seated one, back still against the tree. One leg splayed out - close to Alkor. One knee up to her chest so she could rest her arm on it; keep the sickening smell of smoke wafting close to her, to comfort her. Not once did she actually tag a drag from it. She simply tapped the ash away every so often as she listened to Alkor. She was quiet, giving him the time to slowly work through his thoughts. It was clear he had been on some kind of journey of self discovery, it made her feel happy to know he seemed to be slowly realizing that his quest to be ‘

"An appraiser, huh?" That was useful to know. It'd help having people in the same guild...if Mari stayed. The woman sighed as she strengthened her hook and cast out her line again. "Alchemist. I'm...an Alchemist. Just recently cleaned out my store, but am not sure if I can be bothered going back to it." As nice as it was to have simple conversation like this, it was also incredibly hard for Mari. She was so used to having her guard up that it was hard to try and pull it down. To try and make a connection to people within her own guild a 'family' as Baldur would put it. "But if you need an

"It's good to get together more than just for a quest or raid." Mari couldn't really relate, she hadn't been on any quests for years, aside from a small skirmish with Raidou and his crew. That was....an experience. "Wouldn't know." Mari said with a small shrug as she cast out her line again, it landed in the water with a small plop. Mari turned her gaze to stare at the floater, swaying to and fro in the gentle breeze. "I was imprisoned for so long that honestly...anything that isn't in a 4 by 4 cell is good to me." Mari re-positioned herself so she could be a little more comfortable. "Bu

[F24-PP-PT] HERE I GO CRAF AGAIN (In too Deep)

With one final thunk into the side of Sokun the spiritual creature dissipated. Defeated. Mari let out a small sigh. This was both exciting, and tiring. She wasn't used to such a gauntlet, with so many people to be mindful of. It made her feel a little uneasy having to navigate so much, especially with her AOEs being as wide and sweeping as they were. With the thing defeated Mari turned her gaze to @Setsuna Yeah.... that was some mighty bloodlust dripping from the girl, aimed soley at Mari. The hell did I do to her? It had caught Mari's eyes a few times during this skirmish. There were som -

Curveball... Right. Mari snorted. "Sorry, been on guard a bit lately." Was a little hard not to be, out of all the new people she had met recently, over half of them were LC members; granted... one of them was currently lounging in her bed but that was a different story entirely. "You weren't prying too much, really." She couldn't say he hadn't at all - as that'd be a lie, but Mari felt she should at least be truthful with the man. He was helping her after all. "You'd be surprised how cruel some green cursor folk can be, honestly they're the ones you gotta watch out for." A pause, -

"I have so many questions. You were imprisoned?" He seemed taken aback, Mari wasn't surprised. "Yeh." She turned her gaze to the little snapdragons that chattered at her feet and halfheartedly swung her halberd to clear the path ahead of them, striking them all out in a single blow. "Not common, is it?" Mari asked. It was a rhetorical question. His shock said it all. Of all the players in Aincrad few held orange cystals. Even fewer, had gone to prison for them. Mari wanted to move past it, but the blonde wasn't having any of it. Mari sighed as she slung her weapon over her shoulder. -

Done. It was all done, and now Mari sat at her counter; tapping an inked pen against parchment paper. What the hell did people charge for things these days? what the hell should she even sell? If anything at all. Maybe just on request basis? That'd probably be easier... Mari was no longer a Grand Master- and would need to spend time working on her skills. She did have a small stock of materials, but it wouldn't be enough to do what she needed. Not yet. It was a start though. "Hmmm...." Mari sighed as she pushed away from the counter. It was therapeutic to clean the place up, but

Everything was finally clean. Mari had even cleaned out the gunk that would get caught up in the bunsen burners. Once again every little thing had its neat little place. The shelves were cleaned, relabeled. New crates, currently empty sat in the corner, ready to be filled with materials, scales, shards, and the like. It wasn't nearly as intricate as her workshop by her home - but it was everything she needed to work as an Alchemist. Everything the game deemed necessary. Mari took a great deal of effort in dragging all the furniture back into the store and setting it up. She couldn't exa

Mari had ordered a new stool, one with a nice velvety red cushion - it arrived via a package in her inbox; Mari guessed even the NPcs didn't want to venture to this floor. She couldn't blame them, they were programmed to fear this place. And that's all they were, a series of codes and numbers. Nothing more. And usually far less. Mari moved her new stool into the tent and started work on all the beakers and vials, usually it'd be easier to just toss them and get new ones but Mari had two glaringly big problems with that. The first, she was flat broke after spending a fortune fixing her hou

Alright. Shop aired out. Well...as aired out as you could make something on this floor. Furniture moved out, and floors swept. Mopped. Clean. Alchemic bench at the back, scrubbed down and clean. Mari wiped her brow. She was making good progress. Shelves all cleaned, and labels changed to match the current offerings that Alchemists could provide. Now, all she needed to do was dust out the pillows and rugs that she used to litter the place and bring them back in. Mari glanced over her shoulder and winced, seeing the pile of dirty beakers and vials. Oh..yeh, she had to clean those too.

*WHACK* Mari hit her head on the underside of the table as she was trying to shuffle out from underneath it. "Holy FUCK..." Mari hissed as she gripped her head, falling onto her backside. That bloody hurt. Metal hitting head was not a pleasant experience, even within Aincrad. "Dammit..." Mari muttered as she gingerly rubbed her head. Mari couldn't help but notice her hand land on another pair of dusty materials. They must have gotten stuck behind the table, and when she hit her head on it... it loosened them and they came tumbling down. At least her injuring herself gave her some kin

Mari grabbed a broom and started brushing the dust, dirt and debris out of her store. It was her main goal today, clean it out - tidy it up, and prepare it for if she ever chose to come back here. She'd gather up the broken pieces of a past life and reform them into something new. Something better. Something that wasn't fueled by bitter hatred at a world that spurned her. Granted Mari still didn't like many of the people in Aincrad. She didn't like how judgemental and righteous people were. But that didn't mean they deserved death. Mari sighed as she covered her mouth, the dust kicki

Now...came the more strenuous parts. Mari had to start pushing and pulling the furniture, bit by bit; she'd drag it out of her tent. If anyone passed her by on their way to Yomi they'd be in for a shock - seeing a small orange haired Pker trying to drag around a low set table, and what could only be described as the most rudimentary centrifuge anyone had ever made - almost akin to a primary school science test. But, that was just it. There were no living NPCs on this floor - and the players were so few and far between if Mari DID run into any of them she'd expect they were either looking for h

Her store was airing out, all the boxes of trash had been dragged outside; far enough away for Mari to be able to say 'not her problem' She didn't care if it 'littered the environment' Like, WHAT environment? The entire floor was a deadly ecosystem in a bioluminescent cave network. Somehow...the effects of this floor didn't feel that strong today, the crushing pain, the trickling doubt...the voices. Was it because she had defeated her Gemini? A glance down at her left hand as she tilted it to and fro. Was it because she had someone to fall asleep to each night? That she had a confid

Instead of letting her shop fester, Mari decided to do something about it. She began by opening up all the flaps; the large one that consisted of the entryway - the smaller ones that were supposed to be 'windows' the place needed airing out. Although one could argue the outside air was not much better. A mechanical spider chugged away on the outside of her large tent. Spraying thin mists of whatever concoction Atan had made. Atan... Right... Mari needed to finish off her research for him. He'd yet to return to her own workshop, and Mari kept her word to Freyd - and had simply

Back here again....standing in her shop - wondering if it was even a good idea coming back to this floor or not. It was always the way with the 10th floor wasn't it? Mari knew it was bad for her, yet she continued to return. Her brother was right - she was like a moth to the flame, if the flame was the word DANGER - flashing brightly in a big red neon sign. Still. This was where her shop was, and before the negative cognitive effects became apparent and a warning was listed on the floors description for visitors Mari had largely called this place home for years, so many years. *BANG* It was a tradition after all, bursting through this mans door, the poor thing practically swinging off its hinges as Mari slammed a bunch of unidentifieds on the table. "Please let me know if there is anything good in this lot, if not, just scrap the lot of it." T4 Perfect Unidentified Weapons: 248509, 248510, 248511, 248512, 248558, 248559, 248560, 248561 Thread here She pulled out her main weapon and placed that on the table too, with much more care. "I have a cerberus etching; can you please remove the Blight and add burn to this? Let me know how muc
