  1. The purple haired girl suddenly cocked her head backwards from the counter after hearing the commotion. She witnessed another, much bigger player splash the girl's face with his drink after he made it clear her joke weren't welcome. Vayrin glared and began to walk over, she then stood in between the two, and stared directly into the man's eyes. "Listen buddy, if you don't like it, then leave." She told him, her voice had a slight hint of annoyance. "Just because you're still afraid of this game, doesn't mean you need to remind everyone why. Especially like that..." She glared into his eyes before turning back to Ranmura, slightly confused with her smile.

  2. Vayrin observed the newcomer. She seemed to be a a girl a little younger then herself, and she seemed very enthusiastic. She couldn't help but raise an eyebrow at the joke she just cracked, and simply smiled. The joke itself wasn't funny enough to make her laugh, but this girl's enthusiasm made Vayrin feel a little more at ease for whatever reason. It was rare that she spent time around other players at all, so it was nice to know not all of them were still depressed about being stuck in SAO. She simply turned to Hikoru. "Well, I'm going to get a drink from the innkeeper." She told him before she stood up, and made her way to the counter.

  3. Day: 15

Vayrin walked into the building, and flopped her weapon on the counter. She walked over to her workbench, and began fiddling through the drawers to find a decent needle. Satisfied with what she found, she walked over to the shelf and grabbed some thread. She stuck the pin in her teeth as she grabbed a piece of paper from the wall and stared at it for a moment, looking at the design. She then got straight to work.

  4. She turned back to Macradon after his last comment with a slight grin. "That's the plan." She told him. She would need to anyways, soon, the floors would get too difficult, and she'd be forced into another awkward grinding stage like the one she's in right now. She let out a small sigh after speaking her mind. "Anyways, I was actually up here to find mats. I think I'll craft myself a new cloak soon." She said, looking down at her current clothes didn't provide any stat improvements, only the chest plate she wore under it did. "And then I'll see a forge to construct a new weapon. I got that much planned anyways." She told him. It was obvious she needed new gear, but she knew she wasn't going to sell her current weapon. She may get a new one, but decided to keep her sword in her inventory. After all, it was a gift to her from the first day she stepped out of the safe zone. She looked over Macradon, seeing his armor and assured her he obviously knew what he was doing. "I'm sure you understand." She said with a slight chuckle, gazing back down at her clothes.

  5. Seeing Zandra finish off the monster brought great relief to her muscles, as her body began to relax. She was still breathing heavily from the battle, but sheathed her weapon. She looked at Macradon who sounded slightly depressed from the outcome. She could only guess why. Vayrin really should've done some more research on this quest before putting herself in it. She sighed silently, knowing she may have just been a burden for the high leveled players, seeing as the monster was way too powerful for her. "Yeah... And sorry for running in without thinking. Those golem's weren't too difficult. I didn't think the snowbeast was going to be that much harder." She told them. None the less, it was dead, and the quest was completed. Vayrin had gained some much needed XP on this one, just enough for another level.

  6. Vayrin swiveled her eyebrow upwards at the girls odd reaction. "Woha. Listen, I'm not here to cause any trouble." Vayrin started. She then took a moment to observe the two, and she concluded by their gear they were much lower levels then her. Vayrin looked at herself for a moment. Her cloak and armored plate underneath didn't look intimidating did it? She turned her gaze back up to the other two and began again. "Is this your first time outside the safe zone?" She said with a slight chuckle as she crossed her arms. "I assure you, you don't need to be that cautious of dangerous players. After all, my icon is green isn't it?" She gestured to the icon that would have been floating above her head in other player's eyes, even though she herself couldn't see it. Before Vayrin said anything else, another player had interjected. She turned her head to see a white haired girl she had never seen before. With an odd smile across her lip. She seemed to be cracking a joke, although Vayrin's facial expression didn't seem to change at the punch line. "Friend of yours?" She asked as she turned back to the other two players.

It wasn't long until the violet haired girl heard the commotion that the others seemed to be staring at. She turned her head to see the player waltzing out of the grove as boars were attacking him relentlessly. She smirked when she saw this, knowing full well what the situation was about. She glimpsed closer to see him holding a very peculiar object. Her eyes widened when she saw it a was a single violet. She turned back to the others "Well, pleasure meeting you and... Whatever that is, but I must talk to that fella for a quick second." She said as she unsheathed her blade. "But hey, stay and watch the show if you want. I'll make quick work of those mobs who seem to be failing at killing the high level. Also, I'm Vayrin. In case you were curious." She stated before giving a quick bow and a mischievous wink before turning and sprinting towards the mobs with her sword glowing...

  7. Vayrin sprinted out of the treeline from the small forested grove lying in the middle of the large field. The violet haired girl had her sword drawn, and it was only a few seconds later, two massive boar like creatures charged after her from the same grove. "Guess that wasn't the right place." She mumbled to herself under gritted teeth. This had been a rather annoying day. She had heard rumors of possible violet's growing in the grove, but just her luck it was home to a pair of Dire Boars instead.

As the two mobs closed in on her fast, Vayrin began to slow slightly, her weapon glowing a violet aura. The girl planted her foot hard into the ground, before swinging her body backwards towards the two giant creatures. She brought around her weapon, and with sudden speed, it flashed through the air at the two giant monsters. It traced a large square into one of their faces, and was blown back several feet. She rolled under the second's legs, before swinging around and doing the same thing to it's side as it turned... Soon Vayrin was standing alone in the field as the two beasts lay in the grass on either side of her, before shattering into a million blue pixels each. She panted slightly before sheathing her weapon on her back, as her cloak blew in the slight evening breeze.

It wasn't a moment later when the violet eyed girl looked up and saw two unfamiliar faces on a hill not far from her. She decided they probably saw the scene, and decided to ask if they knew where the violets she was looking for were. She jogged up to the two players, not knowing she may have interrupted their conversation. "Hey! Sorry for the disturbance but... You haven't seen any violets growing around have you?"

  8. Day: 14

The girl opened the door, and walked into the dark shop. She put her weapon down, and began walking over to her shelves. Picking up a few spools of thread, she put them on her workbench. She then proceeded to dig under her counter to find a decent needle. Giving a sigh, the girl sat at her workbench and began working away.

Poor results, to say the least. She gave a sigh of frustration and put the one item she was able to craft on her shelf. She picked up her weapon and walked out the door again.

  9. Vayrin sheathed her weapon on her back as she listened to Macradon's words of wisdom. One thing she had was motivation, just like everyone else. She turned back to face him as he spoke about "not keeping him waiting" and noticed the wink he made in her direction. She didn't really know how to go about it, but only assumed he was attempting to flirt with her. "Don't worry. I have a promise to keep..." She told him looking back out over the pond, her voice had gotten unusually quieter after this. Her mind was lost in her memory on the 4th floor... He wasn't the only one waiting for her. There were others fighting on the front lines who were expecting her to get there soon.

She turned back in his direction after his last comment. "I won't be discouraged anytime soon. I'll be dammed if I'm not in the final fight by the time this game is over..." She told him. After all, she had a knack for running into many front liners. They didn't seem as uncommon as she thought they would be, so maybe it wouldn't be too difficult. Macradon got there anyways, why not she? "I just hope I make it there fast enough... My goal is to reach a high enough level to assist with the boss raid on floor 17. Assuming we make it that far."

  10. Vayrin simply raised an eyebrow at the boy's response to what seemed to be another eavesdropper, she guessed they really did annoy him. Not really unheard of though, so she chose to ignore it when he turned back in her direction and began to answer her previous question. He was rather unusual then the people she had met before, since he seemed overly interested in Vayrin's past experience in SAO. She didn't really know how to go about it so she answered truthfully. Well, mostly. The word that had struck her was "friends" She did say that she had some, but not really anyone in SAO as of right now. Mostly she referred to the random encounters she had with people, but she was still solo after all.

"Well, I'm not too bad with a straight sword." She gestured her head to the blade hanging on her back. "Well, for my level anyways." She continued. "And I've mostly been solo for the most part. I mean, I've had a few "adventures" with others, but nothing too exciting. I did end up falling into an undiscovered dungeon once with a high level. We were forced to fight our way out." She stated, a serious expression masked the small smile she had before.

Before Hikoru had a chance to answer, another player had dropped down beside them, and apologized for his interruption. "Uhh. By all means, we aren't the only one's who use it." She told him, reassuring the newcomer he didn't bother them, or her at least.

  11. Day: 13

Once again, the young girl opened the door to her little shop on the second floor. She walked over to the fireplace, put some logs in, and then strolled by her shelf. Gathering some thread, she put it on her workbench, noticing some dust on one of the spools. She blew it off quickly, and then sat down at her worktable and began working away.

Semi satisfied with the work she had done today, she knew it was all that could be completed. She let out a small sigh before placing her newly constructed piece of equipment of rather high quality on one of her shelves. She then picked up her blade and walked out the door into the sprawling town.

  12. Vayrin let out a sigh at the more experienced player's remark. "Yeah, I know. Then again, I guess I was just taking a nap on the grass. My behavior like that probably would help the fact I'm not making much progress lately." She said. It was true, Vayrin had been letting herself go these days. She didn't grind as much as she used to, and now she only felt like an idiot after complaining about her level. She walked past Macradon to the edge of the spring, where she unsheathed her sword, and gave it a few playful swings. "Guess I gotta get back into the action a bit. At this rate my level will always be to low for the highest unlocked floors." She said with slight confidence. It was true she thought she could do it. Lately, she had seen multiple other players who started out similar to her, and at the same time as well. Yet they always blasted ahead of her in no time at all. "I'm guessing we all go through stages like this." She stated again, peering over the water at the vast fields beyond.

Vayrin sighed after she stretched her punching arm again. With a quick smirk, she launched it at the heavy rock. Thankfully, her blow was successful once again. The boulder, of course didn't look like it was any closer to breaking then before, but the HP: Gauge above it lowered slightly after the violet haired girl struck her fist against it's hard stone.

    Boulder: 41/50

  14. (OOC: Not exactly sure on what to do here. If I try and attack it again, I'll only do 5-7 DMG if I hit it, and if I get hit again I'm dead.)

Vayrin panted heavily in the snow as she slowly got to her feet. The girl looked up and cringed when she saw how much damage the Snow Beast had done to her... She wouldn't be able to survive another hit from that thing... She looked back at the battle. Thankfully, the monster shifted it's attention away from her after Macradon got in between them. Vayrin slowly stretched out her arms, and got her blade ready, in case the monster decided to try and finish her off...

  15. Vayrin listened to the player's response, and then looked rather surprised when he asked her to elaborate on herself. "Uhh.. Heh, well. What do you want to know?" She asked nervously. It was true she had indeed been put on the spot by Hikoru's question, and had never been asked it before within SAO. He did seem rather different from other players she had met, considering he was a total stranger, one of the few she saw actually somewhat enjoying his time in SAO.

"I mean, I doubt I'm very interesting. Just a low level, trying to hopefully, EVENTUALLY, make it to the front lines." She stated, telling the truth.

  16. Vayrin simply chuckled at this player's reaction. "Heh, I didn't notice." she replied. "I'm Vayrin... I don't really have a fancy title. Although some of my friends like to call me by my shop name... Or one of them did at least..." She got quiet after saying that, thinking about her escapade on the 3rd floor. She shook the feeling and looked back up Hikoru. "I wouldn't think much of the eavesdroppers, can't really help it in this kinda setting." She told him. It didn't bother her, she wasn't talking about anything private, so they could listen as much as they wanted for all she cared...

  17. Day: 12

The purple haired girl opened the door to her small shop. She put her weapon down on the counter, and lit the few candles. She stretched out her arms after a long day of grinding. She let out a small yawn, before walking over to her workbench. Grabbing a thread and needle she got to work. Hoping for any amount of luck to assist her.

She had gotten annoyed with the poor results, and let out a sigh. She got up from her work bench, and picked up her weapon. Before walking out the door. Hoping for better luck next time...

  18. "Ah." She replied. That didn't seem hard to believe, but he had picked a weird spot to scout out for guild members, assuming he was from a front line guild like his gear suggested. The people down here were like her, too low a level to fight on the front lines. "Well, I'm currently stuck at my level. It just seems to be getting harder to level up the higher you get. My progress is slow, but I'll join the front lines before this game is cleared." She stated. She looked down, a somewhat sad expression on her face. "I have a promise to keep." She stated now more quietly, remembering events that took place on the 4th floor...

Seeing Shizuka get a good hit in only motivated her even more. She stretched her arm out, and then punched the boulder more furiously. Finally, it was effected. She gave a slight smile, but was still quite annoyed with her lack of progress before. She shook her hand out, and prepared to punch it again with just as much force after her companion took a swing.

    Boulder: 43/50

  20. After the golem's had been finished, Vayrin gave a sigh of relief, and turned her attention back to the snow beast. She got her blade ready, even though she felt very weary due to her battle with the Golems. She sprinted towards the monster, trying to use the last of her energy to do some damage. Unfortunently, the beast spotted the girl running at it. It swung it's massive tail around, something She wasn't expecting. It slammed straight into Vayrin's chest, sending her flying across the snow covered landscape. She rolled on the ground, completely out of energy, with only 8 points of Hp left... This may have not been a good idea after all...

  21. Vayrin continued to stare at the fire intently, thinking about many things. Although they were all interrupted when someone sat next to the roaring fire as well. The girl looked over to see another player, with an odd grin on his face. She raised an eyebrow at the unusual behavior. "Find a rare item did we?" She asked chuckling slightly, knowing there were probably many other reasons for the happiness of players. She had been rather bored, and thought starting up a conversation with someone may help cure it.

  22. Vayrin hesitated a moment before answering the player's question. "Oh, I'm um. Vayrin." She replied. She then proceeded to ask a question that had been weighing on her mind since she noticed Macradon's gear. "So what is an obvious high level like yourself doing on floor 3?" She asked curiously. Even though she seemed to have a habit of running into much higher leveled players then herself, she still found it odd that so many she had encountered on these lower floors, when most would be on the front lines.
