If I could go back and do it again, I'd probably go a consumable route. Make things that don't last forever. Players always need more of that sort of thing. :)

You can get away with any profession, more or less. Players of every profession come and go and at the drop of a hat, so it doesn't hurt for people to just choose whichever profession they like best

As Azide said. Back when I choosed the path of alchemy, there was a lack of us. Thats why I took it. Now it feels EVERYONE takes it :/
