  1. Aereth chuckled. "Yeah, he even got a special item from the quest NPC because he brought the Bluebird back in one piece." Even though he saw Selina handing the item over to Jonathan, Aereth had no idea but it most definitely had to mean something. After accepting the party invitation, Birdie told the brunette not to wander off too far to which Aereth simply nodded. "Don't worry about that, I'll just wait here."

    With that he leaned against a tree and dropped to the floor opening up his inventory, to think about the newest addition to his arsenal. In front of him hovered the description of the <<Dimensional Shift>>. His own unique phase weapon. The only problem with that was: Only one enhancement slot. And he would miss out on a bunch of his accuracy every time he used it. "Essence of Steel..." he mumbled, while opening up the old quest description of the Avalance quest.

    Hearing the female voice of his partner finally snapped him back to reality, and he replied with a chuckle. "Sounds like we could even take them on all at once, if we wanted." Level 10 Monsters were waaaaay weaker than the things he was dealing with on a regular basis. Sh*theads of Laughing Coffin, and working down the Hit List he had received. He then rose to his feet and walked over behind Birdie, and leaned in a little bit so he could get a better look at the map. His chest was touching Birdies shoulder lightly, but he didn't mind that contact. "Hmmmm." Splitting up, and searching on their own would for sure be much faster, but also much more boring. "I mean, we could always split up and search separately, but that would be kinda boring. How about we just walk from waterfall to waterfall and see where we end up finding those Treants?" he suggested, and created some more distance between them while waiting for @Birdie's response.

  2. Aereth was already going through the things he would need to talk about with Domarus. Which course of action would be the best to handle this situation. It was clear without saying that Aereth didn't want to risk the lives of his friends and comrades, so he would have to stick to the plan and warn all the players he could think of. Suddenly Dani called out to him. He had been watching her, but his mind was elsewhere and she seemed to have noticed.

    Shaking his head, he apologized. "Sorry, lost in thoughts." quickly after that Dani landed the first hit on the field boss and reduced its health points to under 50%. She really was relying more on punch related combat, but also started to utilize kicks to get the upper hand in combat. Nodding, he pushed himself from the tree he was leaning against and said. "One more hit, and it's done. Come on, you can do this." Voice confident and strong, but with some resemblance of proud in it as well. She really had developed well over the last couple of days, and Aereth was proud to think that he was also a reason for that.

  5. At first Aereth joined Itzal in his laughter, and then nodded understandingly when he explained how he didn't even talk with Kasier about sharing that information. "Don't worry. I won't tell anybody. My lips are sealed. But again, congrats man. I knew you would do it. I just knew it." he said, still smiling at his buddy. Man, was he proud of that man. He really did it. "Hey I might even try to get my cursor green for the celebrations if necessary." At this point he had no idea if that was even a thing. He had heard about a quest where an orange cursor could be turned green again, but if that also worked with actual player killers was a complete different question. Just when he was about to speak up again, he spotted more tier three materials and greedily picked them up. He would gonna be needing them before reopening his shop. After that he put a hand on the shoulder of his teacher and smiled. "Doesn't matter if that's just a game. Marriage is marriage. I'm really glad you were able to find happiness inside of this game, my friend..."

  6. It felt good to finally know that a good friend you've been spending quite some time with in the past, but unfortunately lost contact for a long time was back and safe. "Just know that Itzal and me will always have an open ear for your problems." Aereth said before letting go of the hand of the blue haired player, and also flashing a bright smile. He wouldn't press any further on the reason of her absence, since if she would want to tell him she would do so without him sticking his nose into things that shouldn't concern him.

    "Haha, don't think anymore of it. Everybody got out at least alive, and even the bluebird survived, since Jon took over as a captain and brought her home." he then smiled and sent over a party invitation to Birdie when she asked if they should form a party. "Surely. Just get the quest and I'll wait over here until you're back."

    @Birdie

  7. "Yeah, simply at the wrong place in the wrong time." He said with a chuckle looking over to @Kooh. It was pretty much the same with their first and second encounter with that guild. If they just had gotten up thirty minutes earlier they could have left the inn without any trouble. Shaking his head to clear his thoughts again, Aereth turned back to Leyna and listened to her story.

    "Yeah that was pretty much what I was expecting." 'Even though that I didn't expect it to be a gal, but who cares...' he added mentally before continuing. "This game took important persons from both you and me as well as countless others... And still there are players like Tallas, Kreeyin and even more bad persons who still torture and kill other player for fun. Simply disgusting...." he spat, voice full of disgust and hatred. And thus he was walking his dark path. Gathering information about the scum of Aincrad, and making his hands dirty for the players that couldn't help themselves.

    Aereth chuckled at Kooh's reply to his offer for making her a new set of clothing. "Best 'active' tailor in Aincrad here." he said in a playful manner with much pride in his voice, before he burst into laughter. Yeah he was wired like that. "For now I'd just like to drown myself in beer and pass out in a bed, but I got a feeling that this is not gonna happen. So just resting, and heading back out tomorrow?" he asked the blonde as if asking for her approval.

  8. Simply nodding when Dani mentioned how she would take on the field boss on her own, Aereth leaned against a nearby tree and opened up his menu. He scrolled through the tabs, until he found the message section and started to type away.

    Text: Hey Dom. I've got some problems I need your help with. The Laughing Coffin finally made their first move on me.  Seems like they don't want to let me roam free without any control anymore. They offered me a list of players I need to take care of if I want the people who have connections with me to stay safe. It really seems like I'm a magnet for sh*t like this... Either way, I'd like to meet with you tonight around midnight if you've got the time. Preferably in your shop so I can use the instant teleport crystals.

    Satisfied with the message he pressed the send button and continued watching Dani as she tried to take down the field boss. A tired yawn escaped his at the thought of the pretty f*cking long night he would have today....

    She had pulled down her suspenders and was trying her best to f*ck up the wasp queen as good as she could. It was no problem that she had missed the opening strike, since this was her first field boss and she still needed to gather more experience in fighting mobs...

    @Daniella

  9. "Like I said before, I'm still sorry for the damage I did to you as well as for the SM stuff with the chair... But it was necessary to safe that little princess." he added a small chuckle at the princess comment, before turning back to face Leyna. "But yeah, they're gone now, but that Kreeyin dude sure put up a fight. Avi told me that there are still other players in that guild, but those two idiots were the leaders, so we'll see if I have to come back to this floor some day..." he said.

    "Oh, you didn't know their story? Avi and Jay got saved by Kreeyin and Tallas from some NPCs, and in return had to work for them in order to 'repay their debt'." he explained with quite some pity in his voice. Avi was still so young, but had to see much of the disgustingly dark side of the world they were living in right now. He then shook his head before speaking once more. "Don't thank me. You're a good woman, and didn't deserve being beaten up like that by me. But there was one thing I want to ask you. I mean you don't have to answer if you don't want to..." he said before thankfully grabbing the healing potion. "Why is that pendant so special to you? I have already an idea, but I'm curious."

    Looking over to Kooh, he saw how she wanted to pull her hood over her head like she always did, but unfortunately the part of her clothing got ripped off, probably during her escape. "As soon as you got your cursor back to green, visit me on the fourth floor. I'm a half decent tailor, and can make you a new one." he said referring to the damaged piece of clothing she currently wore. "Oh, and I think I haven't done this yet." he said and sent a friend request over to the blonde.

    @Kooh

  10. "You might be right there." He had been on the edge of going out searching for his old comrade more than one time, but always thought about how she must have a reason for her actions. And as long as she stayed on his friend list, he wouldn't have to worry about her dying. Still it wasn't the most comfortable thing to just sit out and wait for a friend to return... Finding a distraction from his thoughts in the form of another four materials was definitely something good, before they changed the subject.

    "I'd really love to help you guys out with the dancing st.." he paused and blinked a few times. "..." another few moments of silence. "You two are going to f*cking marry? And you really just mention such stuff in a 'by the way' manner? Come on, that's something to celebrate. I mean, I knew that you two would definitely end up married, but man.... You could say that with some more enthusiasm." he said resting his arm over the shoulders of his teacher.

  13. Floor four, outside of the safe zone. Aereth was on his daily trip to meet his personal information broker. Since he wasn't permitted to enter the safe zone of the main settlements ever since he had killed those two idiots, and the other seven bastards that were unfortunate enough to meet the sharp end of Aereth's blade, Aereth needed to keep in close contact with his various info brokers all over the floors.

    Sitting down on a bench besides a dark hooded player, Aereth simply sent over the usual amount of Col, and waited till the man started to speak. "No new information about Black Adder or Laughing Coffin, but a few new requests on the message boards. Only one that could be of your interest. A quest on floor ten followed by a dungeon raid. The player requesting the help is located in a tavern in Yomi." Aereth nodded before opening up his inventory and grabbing a teleport crystal. Moments later he vanished in many pixel fragments.

    He quickly wrote a message to @Domarus telling him about the quest, the sub dungeon and the location, and made his way over to the town exit nearest to the tavern his information broker told him the quest giver would be in.

  14. Aereth thought for a moment about what Dani just said, but then slowly shook his head. She was making great progress with training and leveling up, but she still was far away from where she could take on one or two of those players by herself. He would also have to watch out for her and that would end up weakening him more than helping. "No. As much as I hate to say this, but I have to. You're not ready for something like this. And I don't even want to talk down anything you archived in the days since we started training, since you improved greatly, but this is still a little bit too big for you." he then locked eyes with her and shot a small smile over to the female. "No. We will finish this training session properly and after that we'll head home. No need to turn into a whiny ass bitch just because of some threats. I'll work something out. I always do." he said, trying to act tough and not to let the encounter get to him. He was through with that sh*t after his recent capture.

    He was following Dani swiftly although some steps behind her since she took the lead. When she then suddenly stopped and leaned on him, telling him that she would take care of him tonight as well as that she would understand if he would have to leave for some business, Aereth was quite surprised. Dani usually was rough and direct, so he didn't expect to say something like this. He cracked a smile and simply nodded, before she turned away to face the woods again. "You know that you're some quite awesome chick?" he asked and finally heard the sounds of the wasp queen getting louder.

    @Daniella

  15. Chuckling at the woman when she started to talk but got interrupted by a message, Aereth removed the rest of his face guard to talk more freely with the woman. He wasn't expecting to do his usual work in the shadows, so he might as well put all that shady equipment away. "Sorry it took so long. These stupid teleport crystals tend to drop you randomly on the floor so I had to rush over here, and that took some time.

    Then Bridie walked over to him and extender her arm, apologizing for her absence and the not answering of his messages. Aereth looked at the extended arm for a few moments, memories from their previous adventures, training sessions and even all the important items he had bought from his friend in the past flashing through his mind before he also extended his arm to meet hers. The two hands met in the middle between them and Aereth for once in a long time was able to put a genuine smile on his face. Not a smirk, or a forced smile, a real and honest smile. "Don't worry about it. You had your reasons for what you did. I can understand that better than probably anybody else in here, but nonetheless I was still worried. After I got no replies from any of  them messages I sent out to you, Lessa and Arc for that Rovian Wars quest I was really worried. Even to that point where I wanted to start looking for you, if it weren't for Itzal telling me that you would be fine and that you needed  your time." He then chuckled. "But in hindsight it was better all of you didn't show up to that quest. Turned out to be a big clusterf*ck, and some players, me included, almost died in that boss fight... Even had to pull out one guy on my own or otherwise he would have become a turtle snack...

    @Birdie

  16. After all the things that happened recently to him, with the weeks he spent in imprisonment, his rescue by the hands of Domarus and Hidden, the girl he found himself training in the material arts, and the encounter with the leader of the Laughing Coffin Aereth was more than surprised to see a message from his former scouting rival and ex guild member Birdie. She had been missing in action ever since that one day the Celestials went to that dungeon some months back. Nobody seemed to know what happened to the girl, and all the messages he sent weren't answered. The blue haired scout had sent him a message asking to do a quest with some catching up on each other. Of course he would accept the offer to meet his old rival again, and thus he currently was on his way through the third floor to make it to the meeting spot.

    Due to his still orange cursor however, he had to use a crappy teleport crystal from the many he had bought in order to travel more easily, and that crystals usually dropped him in a random location on the floor he desired to teleport to. Then the sound of an incoming message caught his attention. Stopping and reading through it, Aereth typed a quick response and began hurrying once more.

    Text: On my way. Should be there in a few minutes.

    About five minutes later, he finally reached the destined spot and was able to finally see his scouting partner once again. He was already in his battle ready attire, due to Birdie mentioning a quest. Pulling down his hood when approaching her, and revealing his messy brunette hair, he simply rose his hand and greeted. "Hey there. Long time no see..." he paused a moment before continuing. "But I'm glad to see you're fine."

  17. 'Ironic...' he thought while he was handed the killing list. Back when he first started to work on getting stronger he pledged to destroy that damned guild, and now he was working for them. 'Some things need to be done in order to survive...' When the cocky player that handed Aereth the crystal mentioned how he would drag Aereth to Sensui by his hair, he simply shot a short chuckle at his way. "Yeah, f*ck you too, my dude. You don't need to pull out that tough guy sh*t in front of me. I'm no amateur. Hell, I might as well have more kills than you under my belt, so why don't you just shut up and let the grown ups talk?" With that he turned one more time to Sensui and chuckled when he ordered Hellion to calm down again. "Three months and I'm done with your list. Like you just said... I know what I'm doing, and as long as you stick to our little agreement we won't have any problems. Do I need to contact anybody as soon as I'm done, or are you going to check on everything by yourself?" He asked trying to get something more out of this encounter than just a few names.

    After everything was settled Dani grabbed Aereth by the arm leaving the area, and as soon as they were far enough away, replied to the busty pugilist. "Yeah, Goldie Locks for sure was the strongest one among them. He radiated a completely different aura than the other idiots. And don't judge those gals for what they're doing. Maybe they are forced to do that, who knows... But f*ck that for now." After that she mentioned how she was sorry for not being attentive enough and getting her good looking butt captured. "Hey don't apologize. I'm the one who messed this up and brought you into danger. I should have made you use that crystal the moment I gave it to you, as well as getting my ass out of there as well with one of my own. But I wanted to meet this leader of them for a long time, but didn't have the opportunity. They were like ghosts for the last couple of months, and the fact that I didn't even look for them actively didn't help either... I hope you aren't mad at me for that.

    @Daniella

  18. "As expected." Aereth replied to the blonde with a chuckle, before they entered and before Aereth started to free Leyna. Now Aereth only stood there and waited for Leyna to take back the item he had taken from her some hours ago. But when the hand of the woman hit his face, hard enough to leave some red marks on his face, but not hard enough to actually do much damage to him, he was kinda hit of guard. 'I should have expected as much...' he thought, and waited for her to also give back his own pendant to him.

    When he finally caught sight of the necklace with the two silver ballet shoes on it, a small smile flashed over Aereth's face, before his usual rather stoic and cold features took over again. He simply took the item and fixed it around his neck before un-equipping his battle gear, and sinking to the ground. He was glad that the woman was able to forgive him for what he did, and felt like he needed to tell her some things. "Avi and Jay are on their way to the safe zone, and are most probably leaving the floor as we are talking. That Avi was a good boy. Cared for his brother...." he sighed. "And Kreeyin is nothing more than another crossed out name on the monument of life now." God was he tired. He had been running fighting and thinking the whole day, and to say he was spent was an understatement...

    @Kooh

  19. To say he was eager to get to know about the reason as to why both Dani and Aereth weren't dead yet, was an understatement. With seven so strong players, they could have shafted him and Dani in mere moments. So this Sensui guy wanted something from him. No. He needed something from him. Something that kept both Dani and him alive up to this point. And that was good.

    When they finally reached the destined place where Aereth and Dani would finally meet Sensui, he took a few moments to take in the appearance of the leader of the guild that had taken everything from him. A big throne, fancy looking attire. Clearly another guy with a f*cking god complex...

    While the leader of the Laughing Coffin spoke and laid out his offer to Aereth, the brunette kept silent. "How much information did they gather on me up until now?" he thought when Sensui told him how he would take out everyone he had contact with if he wouldn't agree with the deal. Aereth pretty much knew what the future would bring to him. Looking at the hand offered to him, he pretty much was a dead man walking. Either he would accept and get stronger until they saw him as too much of a threat to let him roam free anymore, or they would kill him on the spot. But did he care? Hell no! He would use the time he still had and try everything to overcome the obstacle in the form of Laughing Coffin in front of him.

    Aereth grabbed the hand of Sensui with a smile, and pulled him closer to him, before locking his brown ores with the green ones of the Sensui. "I accept. I will stay away from the Laughing Coffin, and I'll work for you, if your members stay away from not only her, but all my people. And I want to do it in my own way. Just hand me the list and give me some time." he said, his lunatic smile still in tact. "I wanna try out some new things..."

  21. Just as Aereth wanted to go for another attack on the very strong player, he backed away and started to laugh. Aereth's grin vanished and got replaced by a frown. He could barely keep up with that one player, and now there were six more players with Dani as their hostage. "F*ck, f*ck, f*ck, F********CK." he cursed mentally, slowly sheathing his blade, and deactivating the flame aura of his armor. "I shouldn't have assumed that I'd be walking out of this encounter like nothing happened right?" he asked rhetorically and raised his hands in front of him.

    He didn't want to get imprisoned again. And he definitely didn't want to see another player die by the hands of the Laughing Coffin with him around. "I'm coming with you. But don't dare to do anything with the woman. I'm gonna make every second hell as long as I last..." it was a weak threat, but if he really had to watch another woman die right in front of him, he would most probably go on tilt. After all the sh*t he went through, from loosing the woman he loved for over six yeas, to the exhausting trip down the floors with Kooh where they got ambushed a couple of times, to his recent capture and imprisonment, he was still wondering how he didn't get completely insane up until now. Or was he already and he hand't noticed yet? And just as was starting to get his sh*t together agin, BAM. Shafted by Laughing Coffin in most probably yet another imprisonment... "What a beautiful day..." he thought looking directly at the hooded player he fought previously...

  22. When not long after they entered the forest, Kreeyin and Jay appeared, Aereth smiled inwardly. "They really didn't manage to find Kooh in the meantime. That was just pure luck on our side though, since the whole story could have ended much much worse..." Outwardly only his stone cold and determined gaze were the only things visible on his expression. "I've got what you wanted. That boy can confirm it. So, I'm going to say this only once. Where. Is. She?" with every word his gaze turned colder and he started radiating the very same dangerous aura he had when he had to part ways with Kooh for the first time.

    With that Aereth would wait until Kreeyin would make only one little mistake. And as soon as turned his attention away from the brunette for even one single moment. Aereth would move in for an attack, drawing his blade and the furious battle was started. "Avi!" he shouted, yanking his head over to Jay to signal him to take care of his brother.

    About fifteen minutes later, Kreeyin was finally defeated. Aereth took his time with that battle. In the process of the fight, the sadistic player had lost some 'unnecessary' body parts and was now lying on the floor after Aereth had swept was his feet with a low kick. "This is over. And now you're gonna pay. Go and follow your leader..." with that he buried his blade directly between the eyes of the man, which finally ended his torture and sent him to all the other players he had already ended...

    "You two head to the safe zone. Now. Change the looks of your avatars, and stay low until everything settles down again. I promised Avi to help you if you needed some, and I'm a man of my word." he said to the two brothers and turned around to sprint towards the home of Leyna.

    Some time later Aereth finally arrived and found Kooh on the outside of the house talking to Leyna through the window. He sighed. "You aren't going to follow my orders for once, am I right?" he asked the blonde before shooting her a smile. "It's done. We're safe.... For now at least." With that he opened the door to the house and walked over to Leyna. His body was littered with red marks that emitted a low red glow, and he had a guilty expression on his face. "Sorry for what I did, and sorry it took so long. Now you can have it back. But only if you also give back what I left with you..." he said while cutting the ropes that kept her tied to the chair.
