  1. Once the pup had read the outline in full he confidently moved his first piece. Wolfie noted the oddity of the movement though didn’t say anything “Black pawn E7 to E6” Wolfie said making his first move as well, “I would suggest you go to Aereth for your Armour, though I believe his is on floor 4. Though it is partially in a safe zone so you won’t need to worry about being attacked. When it comes to weapons, the person I have heard the most about is Macradon so you may check at his shop as well. As for money, yeah I would say we will actively trade as needed, and I am happy to help you out both physically and monetarily if needed.”  Wolfie was focused on the chess game and let his mind float from reality, letting himself rest and relax for a few moments of his life.

  2. Wolfie watched as the pup missed and once regain missed the Butterfly as it flew by. “This may be more of a challenge then I thought” Wolfie thought “I hope we can handle it though I trust I can produce a distraction if I could just hit the dang thing!” he looked at the pup who seemingly dodged the Butterfly, “I agree that you need to be careful, though if you have a plan feel free to say it because my current plan is to gain some by  climbing trees.” He looked over at the pup while readying his next attack. Wolfie began analyzing the landscape, knowing he could use it to his advantage. Though for some reason nothing stood out enough for him to make any plans in the moment. “I wonder what we could do to counter this creature, surely there is a way though I cannot think of what it may be.”

  3. Wolfie thanked the man for the food not noticing the eerie mood that he was giving off. He then started drinking the Milkshake, nodding at the taste. Wolfie held his gaze a little longer, searching, learning and analyzing this man. However, he finally realized this man’s fear and broke the eye contact. Allowing for his intimidating aura to subside but keeping the dominance. The primary eye seemed to change from the red to the gold. He Looking around it seemed the shop was empty except for them. “Slow day, huh? Do you just stay here most of your time or do you tend to go out?” He noted the pet that was placed on the table but didn’t do more than give it a passing glance. He was curious about this man’s chosen Profession. But more so who this man was, knowing that most people do not choose to cook in this game he wondered what drove this man forward, what made him tick. Though he also knew he would need to see this man outside of entrupenurmanship, instead Wolfie needed to see this man on the battlefield.

  4. Wolfie entered the shop once again. “I got your message Aereth, What was it you wanted to talk about?” Wolfie was unsure though expected that this would be about payment. “I hate having no col but that’s what I get for waiting so long to start.” He thought to himself as he wanted for the shop owner. Looking around this shop was very well made. And the design was pleasing to the eyes. “I wonder what made him choose this design” He thought out loud “the rustic feel is common though I don’t know why.”
    Wolfie walked back to the counter and examined the wall decorations. “Its amazing the things that you can create in this game, it is all custom to the makers mind, though it all is similar. How different are people really? Surely there is something that separates one person to another, though I know not what that is.”

    @Aereth

  5. (OOC: No, Nix is just sitting and listening right now, he isn’t going to post for a little while)
    Wolfie listened to the Spearman, his words circling in Wolfies mind. “None of that makes you weak, Hydra.” Wolfie said, with a tone of almost determination and comfort. “I don’t know for sure, but if family love is like the bond between Abigale and I then I have no doubt that your parents are waiting for you, and still love you. It isn’t weak to push people away, it is natural. I do it, you have surely seen that. And the tragedies people go through are different, they let us find ourselves. Just because you close off yourself to family doesn’t mean you are broken or weak-willed. In fact, to an extent, shows how much you care. Maybe you don’t want their help because you are scared to bother them or scared to spend their money, or afraid they will just think your stupid. That is not unreasonable. What I do is unreasonable. I push people away because I’m selfish. You push them away because you want to help them. Right?” Wolfie looked at Hydra, Wolfie was trying his hardest to have a face of acceptance and understanding, though it may not get through so well.

  6. Mind pendingFor some reason Wolfie was slightly confused at the comment “Trust me, it wasnt my fault. I think it was a combination of us being outside a safe zone and talking too loud that attracted it.” Wolfie watched as the the Corrupted Butterfly seemed to still be offset by the pups last attack. “It’s a butterfly but there is something wrong, it looks almost infected, it’s defiantly mutated though. And based on its speed, it is substantially stronger than that lizard was.” Wolfie was concerned, this thing may be able to kill the pup quickly if they weren’t careful. Looking around Wolfie tried to formulate a plan of action. They would need to find a way to boost themselves into the air should the butterfly take off, though he didn’t linger on this for too long. Not wanting to lose the opportunity, Wolfie slammed his mace down on the beast, proceeding then to jump back.

  7. “Must have been quite the shock entering the game then, huh?” Wolfie said without emotion “To learn that such troubles are possible, such things that can cause death as this game. Oh, and I don’t really sleep ever anyways.” He thought for a moment. “I wont compare his story to mine, and I hope he doesn’t ether. Both can be considered equally bad, thought in two different ways.” Wolfie watched the fire. A question came to his mind and for the first time in a while he couldn’t stop the words from forming in his mouth. “Hydra… what’s it like… Having a family?” Wolfie’s tone became saddened, depressed and full of remembrance that was so hard to find. He couldn’t believe he had asked Hydra that, but at the same time he couldn’t take it back. He couldn’t bring himself to revoke his question. Staring at the fire, Wolfie recounted to himself the nights he spent alone like this, the nights that Abigale were asleep, and he was keeping watch over her.

  8. Wolfie watched as Sey attacked the Boar. “So this is what Sword Arts are” He thought to himself, Noting that he had chosen armour over attack to start. “I believe that we could continue our hunt. There would most likely be a higher chance of loot if we were to do so, and it isn’t even night yet.” Wolfie began to look around, he found some plants that he could use in the future, collecting them he turned back to Sey. “I will let you take lead from here, that will allow me to possibly regain some health, though if I don’t have that opportunity then I will be fine as well.” Wolfie fell back behind Sey to let him take lead. Looking around the scenery was almost as nice as the one at home, though It wasn’t perfect. It never would be. Regardless life pushed on and so did he.

  9. “The dark only impairs your sight, and even so you will adjust quick.” Wolfie said to the pup. “No, I don’t mind at all.” Suddenly There was a sound that pierced the night. It was a distorted crow, or something of a crow. It came bellowing from there left. Not soon after a giant monarch butterfly came barreling towards Wolfie. He was able to sidestep it, however he was not able to hit it as it flew past him. Upon it moving into a small shard of moonlight. It was clear that this was no ordinary Monarch. The colors were purple shifted and it seemed to ooze. Its eyes were blood red, and unblinking. “Well, this will be substantially harder…. You ready?” He looked over at the pup, hoping to Cthulhu that he would be able to handle this. “Were we prepared for this?” Wolfie asked himself in his mind “Well, I guess we have to be”

  10. Wolfie sat listening, Hydra turned to him and gave him very reassuring words. He looked around, scanning the area, making sure no one else could sneak up on them. “I really do appreciate that Hydra.” Wolfie said, his voice still shaky, though returning to its normal gravel. “I will try to do the same for you.” Wolfie was not sure how he felt about Nix. There was an aura of pleasantry that Wolfie didn’t like, reminded him to much of his past. “So, Hydra, I have told you my story. Would you be willing to tell me yours?” He was looking at Hydra with a blank, expressionless curiosity. He did want to know Hydra’s story, he was just horrible at showing what he wanted, at least when it came to emotion. He did, however, hold hydra to a high regard. He could have killed Wolfie at any moment. It wouldn’t have penalized him at all. But here they sat, both very much alive.

  11. So on the point that @Baldur gave I have been watching this thread. I appreciate all of the imputed given and understand that this needs to still be relatively simple. I am currently attempting a rough draft of the idea that I will post later. As for my reasoning behind pushing, just in case any staff member is curious, the existence of even a weak ranged weapon mechanism in the game will help the forum appeal to more people. It will also make it easier for those who prefer the life of stealth to embrace that life and be able to build a character that would allow them to succeed in being a Rouge type.

    I will be posting a link to a Google Doc with suggestion privileges for everyone here soon. Thank you again for all of your help and support.

  12. Wolfie looked almost pleased, “Do you really think I will ever have a home that doesn’t move, pup?” He said this in almost a joking manner. “Wow, that is awesome” Wolfie thought to himself. “I didn’t think he would be so willing.” He looked around seeing that the night was still young. Looking at his health and the health of Dominion “I think we could probably fight a few more if you are up for it. What do you think?” He wasn’t sure if Dominion was up for it, knowing that he didn’t have nearly as much health as Wolfie, though they could both take substantially more damage before they perish. That would also help wolfie reinforce the ideas of Focusing and Predicting in combat, it was what Dominion needed to master in order to be able to access the full potential of his mind. It was clear that the pup had a vast amount of intelligence, he just needed to be taught how to tap into it.

  13. Wolfie winced when Birdie asked where he lives. Hesitantly he says “Yeah… You could say that.” He took a deep breath; his past began flooding his mind once more. “You have to push back” He thought to himself before he realized why this girl seemed so welcoming to him. He stopped dead in his tracks. His eyes empty and distant, as if he was in a different world. A look of terror on his face. He was immediately brought back to the beach. Watching that man, listening to Samantha scream at him. Remembering everything. Her words becoming louder and louder in his mind “Why? Why did you do this to me Shoreal? Why would you allow this to happen? Please make it stop!” He felt himself tensing, tightening. He saw her eyes drain of life, he re-watched it again. He listened to the man laugh over her dead body.

    Wolfie was trembling at this point, he had moved his hands to his head. He began mumbling “No, No! that’s not true! Please, Please let her go!”

    @Birdie

  14. Wolfie sat and listened as Nixon Announced himself in his fashion. The proud voice put a small amount of disgust in his mouth. “How can this man be so happy all the time? It’s not like the pup, who’s happiness is naïve but instead he chooses to be happy. Does he not realize how pointless life is?” He thought to himself as the two conversed. “Hello Nixon,” Wolfie said standing up. “Pup, these two are an acquaintance” he says pointing to Nixon “And my bodyguard” pointing to Hydra with this last one. “I will allow you to introduce yourself.” Wolfie said to Hydra, Wolfie didn’t like introducing others, it required to much chance to get something wrong, plus how others saw someone wasn’t his problem. He did however observe the two people’s stances. Both had a certain repetitiveness. Hydra stood with a kind of hesitance, as if he was never fully sure of his actions. Nixon stood with pride, and a hint of regret though it was clear he would deny it if asked

  15. Wolfie followed the pup as he was given a chess set and then walked to the far corner of the tavern. “I will take black if you don’t mind. I also created, a rough outline of how to play.” Wolfie’s tone was much calmer, it seemed almost fatherly. He proceeded to send a basic outline of how chess works in a message to the pup. And taped the task pop-up on the board. Using that he let the game set itself up. “Let’s see if I am still as good as I used to be.” Wolfie said, “I hope I didn’t lose anything” He sat and waited for the pup to finish reading the rules and make his first move. “Well, you may feel free to start asking me questions. Seeing as now is the best time for it. Go ahead and hit me with the first bout, I am ready.”

    @Dominion

  16. Wolfie saw his opportunity. The Lizard was focused on the Pup and that meant he could easily kill the beast. He ran up the nearest tree and used it to give him a bit of a boost into the air. Using the weight of his Mace and his armour, he was able to get a much stronger attack this way, he knew that. He hit the lizard, it immediately shattered into data, but he had enough time to turn his fall into a roll and catch himself. “Well… That happened” Wolfie said somewhat surprised at the sudden death of the lizard. “So I have a question for you, I have been thinking. You need a mentor and a father figure, I need someone to call a faithful companion. What do you think about allowing me to adopt you?” He paused “I believe it will help us both out in the long run, what do you think pup?” Wolfie gave the pup as much of a smile as his hard, cold face would allowed.

  17. Wolfie thought for a moment about the pups question. “I don’t know pup, I mean, we could if you wanted too. Have you met Hydra yet?” He was thinking about the Spearman who he encountered that fateful night in the woods. “I wonder how he is doing, and what about that Nixon guy?” Wolfie thought calmly to himself as he sat and meditated. He was calm, his voice was calm and vacant when he talked “Maybe we could find a few monsters to fight, it would allow us to become better at out abilities and allow our power to rise… then again we could just relax today, spend some time talking and thinking. I’ll leave it up to you pup what do you want to do?” beside hydra who had dedicated his spear to wolfie, Dominion was the only person he trusted. The pup was like a son to him. “Hey, pup, do you remember when I mentioned adopting you, after we fought that lizard? You still want to do it? Because I can easily talk to someone about it. I just want to make sure, that you are sure about this as well.

    @Hydra

  18. Wolfie, got an alert from somewhere the night before, it had startled him. No one had ever sent him messages, he wasn’t sure what to do at first but once he figured it out he made plans to meet the pup at the tavern he was at. He never sent a message back because he didn’t know how. Approaching the tavern he saw the pup. “what was it we were doing? Chess right?” He was almost excited he loved chess, it was an amazing way to learn about you opponents. He looked at the tavern, “If I can focus on the chess game, and we aren’t confronted, I may be able to ignore the vast amount of people” He thought, “I don’t want another panic attack.” He still remembered when the pup jumped from a four story building and landed flat on his face. This was a strange pup, that was for sure.

    @Dominion

  19. Suddenly, as if from no were, Wolfie heard another voice. Seemingly it was Hydra’s friend. He quickly began wiping his face and regaining his composure. “So this is the man you had mistaken me for? I see.” He looked Nixon up and down, his voice hardening but still shaking. “Where did he come from?” Wolfie’s mind asked him “why weren’t you more careful with your story, why did you let others hear you?” Wolfie winced, a chill rang throughout his body. “There wasn’t anyone following you was there? You are the only one?” Wolfie looked worried, he hoped Hydra was right about them being able to trust Nixon. But to him something seemed off. The overwhelming aura of kindness penetrated everything around, it reminded him of the girl who took him in. He shivered remembering the pain. “I will always be broken” He thought to himself “That is my curse for living."

  20. Wolfie watched as the man attempted to finish off the boar. He was unsure of what happened, Wolfie could see the man’s movements only because he had trained himself to be just as fast and able. The boar rushed at him once more, he was thankful for his mitigation. Luckily he was able to predict the boar who was now running rampant, it seemed that sanity wasn’t just something for non programed humans but was programed into the monsters as well. “I am going to look for an opening to attack, should I get the chance then I will talk it, if not then I will wait.” Wolfie said to the man, he wanted to watch how this man fought, see the problems and weak points in his former. Not to attack the man but just in case he needed them in the future. It was amazing how every fighting style, no matter how polished had flaws, you could never be unhitable no one ever would be.

It’s amazing how in depth the programing in this game is” Wolfie said he then ran forward to slam his mace down on the lizard. The lizard turned to lock onto Dominion. “ Well you seem to have Aggro, brace yourself because he looks very angry.” Wolfie jumped back as the lizard rammed the pup full force, staggering him. “Now is your chance pup, Focus predict and but everything you got in your next attack. Show this piece of crappie who I’d the alpha” there was a tinge of pride in wolfie’s voice. As if he was a proud father watching his son. “I should adopt him” Wolfie thought, “This pup needs direction, and someone to look to as a father figure now that his dad is not with him. Maybe he will let me if I ask”

Looked at the man and said. “You’re right, sorry about that.” With that wolfie forfeited his attack and watched as the boar ran at him. It hit him hard but Wolfie knee what he was doing and wasn’t going down that easily. “Keep hold of yourself Wolfie, you gotta stay strong” He thought this as the boar jumped back. Looking at the man, it seemed he had accidently opened a pathway for the boar when he stepped aside to let Wolfie attack, Wolfie shrugged. But elected to watch him more closely to make sure it was by accident and not intentional. The last thing he needed was to be trapped with a creature he could kill and then be killed by said creature. He let himself re compose his thoughts and watched as the man attacked the boar.

  23. Wolfie felt Hydra’s hand on his shoulder, his immediate reaction was to pull away. But this isn’t what he did, he pushed himself into the man, not hard enough to knock him over and hugged Hydra. Wolfie had tears streaming down his face. “thank you… Take you for listening…. Thank you for caring.” He couldn’t begin to express how much it meant to him. No one had ever asked him for his story, no one had ever been able to be trusted enough for it. But hydra was different, he was able to gain Wolfie’s trust, able to listen. He didn’t walk away or just not care. Something moved in Wolfie, though he wasn’t sure what it was. He let go of Hydra’s neck, his eyes still watering, his voice still shaking. He looked back into the fire, wishing he could just burn away his memories wishing he was someone he could never be.

  24. Baffled by the precision of the now focused pup, Wolfie completely missed his turn. The pup had hit the lizard so hard that it got stuck in the ground unable to release its feet right away, though once it was Dominions turn again it seemed as though the lizard would be able to move again shortly. “what the hell was going on?” He thought “sense he was four huh? That explains the ability.” He watched as the similar strike hit the Lizard, leaving another crater. The shifting and glitch in landscape scared him, “the glitches can’t cause us death can they?” He looked to Dominion, “I don’t like how the world is reacting. We need to finish this beast off so that we can flee. I am afraid of the possibility of a potential glitches player death, seeing as the weight of that ax not being programed to move that fast. We don’t have high chances of survival. We need to high tail it, though based on the speed of this beast, we will have to kill it first.”

  25. Wolfie heard and nodded “But the longer you live, the more peace seems like a fantacy.” By now Wolfie had his knees pressed against his chest and his arms locked around him. He knew they were nearing the end of his story, and so he continued. “Four years passed of me living in the woods and scrounging the city for money, even pennies. It didn’t madder what, I just needed something. One day, a girl, about my age at the time. Had been watching me for a while, we talked on and off, and she was very nice to me. This seemed to be genuine. Her name was Samantha. I knew people made fun of her for talking to me, I would hear it from time to time whenever her friends walked by. I hated that they were so cruel to her with there words but she insisted that I just leave it be. One day, once I had enough money. I asked her if she would come with me to the beach nearby and I would buy her dinner. She said yes.” Wolfie stopped, his eyes started to water. Wiping them, he recomposing himself and continued. “Abigale and I were waiting at the beach for a long time before she arrived. Though, she wasn’t alone and wasn’t okay. She was already badly beaten and she was accompanied by a large group of men dressed in black, masks covering their faces. They surrounded me and pushed her forward, she fell face first into the sand, her hands tied, I helped her up but when she looked at me she got frightened and scooted back. ‘please, no more!’ she said to me ‘please don’t hurt me any more’ I was so confused. But then a man, seemingly the man in charge, broke the wall of men surrounding her. The men then grabbed my arms and tranquilizer Abigale. The man took off his mask and I froze. It was the same guy that killed my parents. He proceeded to tell Samantha ‘see him? This is his fault, if it wasn’t for him, I wouldn’t be doing this too you. This is all his fault’ he then forced himself on her, the men forced me to watch, to listen. I felt myself going insane, I didn’t know what to do. Then, he pointed her scared face at me. When he did this she screamed at me ‘Why did you do this to me Shorael? Why?’ Then I watched as he slit her throat, the light draining from her pleading eyes. A dart hit my neck. The next thing I knew, I woke up on the beach, a bloodstain in the sand beside me and a scared Abigale laying beside me, her neck across mine as a Luna wolf does to an Alpha. I sat weeping, reliving the last thing in my memory over and over again. I resolved that I would double what this man did to me, and do it to him. I wanted him to know the pain I have felt. So from that point on, for the next nine years of my life I trained my body for combat. Training myself to be agile, to be able to swiftly move in and out without being noticed. I also collected money. Once I learned about this game I purchased the nerve-gear and played it as soon as possible, hoping I could learn how to hunt people, how to kill. However, once we were told that we were stuck it dawned on me… I left Abigale in the real world to fend for herself and die. Her blood is on my hands, my only true companion dead because of me.” Wolfie was shaking violently now, his muscles tensed and his breathing heavy. He felt the panic attack coming but didn’t know what to do.
