  1. Wolfie sat meditating, eyes closed and mind open. The world went on around him, the city bustled. He sat on the edge of the city, his mind clear. He could hear every movement that was made around him, he was at peace for the time being “to often you sit in your own mind, yelling at yourself, at least here I can be calm, not worry about the world around me. I can choose to let life pass me by” and so he did, it was a good pass time in his eyes, letting everything happen without his influence. Normally he would go and observer people,  psychoanalyze them, learn what makes them tick.  Though he decided to stop doing that after his last panic attack. “You should have known that would happen” He thought to himself “You know you have a weak mind when there are that many people, none of which you can trust. You need to realize that you are no different than you were when you started: weak minded, weak willed, in able to do things, cynical. Nothing will change that no matter how hard you try.”

  2. Wolfie listened as hydra approached, hydra seem as though something was nothing him, normally wolfie wouldn’t care, but it doesn’t do for a bodyguard to have something plaguing their mind. “I make up for what I lack in sanity with my skills, that’s what happens when you live by yourself in the woods with No one but your pet to keep you company for over fourteen consecutive years. When you do that you don’t have much choice but to learn what you can to survive.” Wolfie said eyes glazed over slightly as if he were reminiscing. Coming back to reality he continues “Feel free to take first watch, I will go to sleep soon in that case. And as for my floors, I haven’t made it farther than floor 3, why do you ask?” Wolfie finally stopped talking, closed his eyes and opened his ears. He took in the surroundings, listening observing, taking in the world. The forest was peaceful, the trees were quiet. It was a nice feeling, though he knew it wouldn’t last long.

  3. There was a roar of pain in the distance, and the pup was saying it was hurt. Wolfie looked at him, "even though it is hurt, there is nothing we can do, it’s an NPC, we can’t heal NPC’S.” He thought for a moment, “You want to train, eh? Well, pup, I have an idea as to how you could train for the time being. Let’s duel. It will be a standard, half health duel. Nether of us will die, and we can both get some good training. Also I will send you a list of rules that will explain, in detail, how chess is played. The reason it is played being that it allows both players to analyze the other players ability to strategize, and allow a quick mental analysis.” Wolfie was calm, he had given up on trying to come at this pup with full arsenals of reason and logic, he needed to do it one step at a time in order to let this pup have full ability to make sense of what Wolfie was saying.

  4. Before Wolfie could have another thought the kid started bombarding him with questions, “Narf, I need something to do that will allow me to focus on this pup’s questions.” He thought to himself, then it came to him “Chess, I’ll challenge him to a game of chess” He looked up at the kid, “I’ll make a deal with you pup, I will answer your questions if you will play me in a game or two of chess while you ask them. The is one in the local tavern.” His face seemed to have grown tired though he knew he just needed to have something to focus on and a good game to help him stop. “I will answer all the questions you have for me, whatever they might be-within reason- what do you thing about that?” He waited for a response, hoping to God that this pup knew what chess was. Though he wouldn’t be surprised if he didn’t. “for a kid that knows nothing, I wonder if he is any good at strategy”

  5. Wolfie wasn’t too far behind Hydra, but he was doing what he could to figure out the situation. They seemed to be sleeping, but he wasn’t sure if that was the case. “No, we shan’t wake them” Wolfie said, the rain had fully let up at this point “I believe that if they are asleep we should wait and see what, or who they are before they are awakened.” Wolfie looked around and saw a small wood pile next to a fire pit. “I will light a fire, we should probably set up a watch for the night and try to get some sleep, if you have a preference as to when you watch is to be, I would be happy to oblige.” With that, Wolfie walks over to the fire pit and starts stacking the wet wood, stopping for a moment he checks the wing and elects to build a lean-to in order to allow the fire to last longer. He opened his inventory and took out a pack is cigarettes. He crumbled them up and arranged them into fire starter before attempting to light it.

  6. “Oh God, what have I agreed to?” Those words repeated themselves over and over in his mind as the Crow talked. At last Wolfie lets out a rough sigh, before turning “Its this way, try to keep up” With that he dashed off. Wolfie was very light on his feet, even in heavy armour. He loved the feeling of wind and was fine making it artificially by running. His strides were long and every step was more of a push off the ground and forward then a run. He hoped Corvo was keeping up, he was sure that if he wasn’t there would be trouble. “ THE HELL DID YOU LET HIM JOIN YOU?” his mind yelled at him as he ran “YOU CAN’T TRUST HIM, YOU DON’T KNOW HIM!” he was trying to silence these thought but instead determined to just channel them into his anger and use it to attack whatever came their way. I mean, he didn’t want Corvo to have all the fun, that just wouldn’t be fair.

  7. Wolfie entered the Dinner "I have to eat at some point" He thought, as he looked at his col "Narf... I only have 200 col, I hope that’s enough" His hood covered his face, and he stood with confidence. He walked up to the counter to order, waiting for the owner to come. “Is the shop closed? Maybe its after hours? Then again, I don’t think I would be able to enter if that was the case. The owner must just be busy at the moment.” With that Wolfie sits down at a table and waits. He opens his journal and starts documenting his thoughts and observations over the past few days. So much had happened, some better than others. He wasn’t sure how to think of the past few weeks, he had met some… question able people and some who were alright. He still didn’t understand happiness though, he wished that, one day, he could have full access to his emotions once more.

  8. “No, I am a hunter. Assassins have their way, quiet alone unseen, bounty hunters have their way, blending in, targeting, deceiving. I have my way. Tracking, Trapping and Toying. I like to see my victims break, I want to see them drain of their sanity. I want to see the light drain from their eyes before I kill them.” Wolfie said almost hungrily, he craved this, it had been so long sense he had blood of any animal on his hands. “Did you just say, ‘monkey D. Luffy’?.... Why was that the first thing to come to your mind, you know that isn’t an animal right? That’s a character in a Japanese cartoon……” Wolfie didn’t even know with this kid anymore. The kid didn’t seem to know anything about… well… anything “What is it that keeps him from understanding? Does he have some sort of mental block? Or is he really just that naïve? I have to keep experimenting  on him, seeing how he reacts.” He thinks briefly. “Also, my eyes are different colors because I have a genetic disease call heterochromia"

  9. Wolfie was generally startled “Had I been speaking what I was thinking? GOD DAMMIT!” His red eye flared up, but only for an instant. He determined to listen to what this man had to say. As he did so, it was like one curve ball after another. “First off, Existentialism is the best way to live life. Distractions will eventually run out, it is better to be prepared for the realization that nothing matters before that.” Before he could utter another word the man said that they need to jump start him.
    “...we gotta get you laid.”  Startled, Wolfie had no way to respond to this “Wait… wha-“ Then he was cut off by the Man telling him that they should go stab something. Now that was something he could get behind… well not stab thing, more of smash things seeing as he uses’ a mace but he didn’t care. “Yeah, lets go kill some stuff, I need to complete this Earning a Living quest anyways if you would like to join me. However, we haven’t fully introduced ourselves yet. I am Wolfie, who are you?”

  10. It seemed safe enough, though Wolfie was not sure what a Caravan was doing this far out. Approaching Hydra, he whispers “The only logical option in my mind is that they are going to Horunka Village to deliver supplies and buy raw goods from the hunters. I didn’t find any traps or anything to be scared about. Thus, I think the chance of it being safe for us to approach is roughly 79%.” He thought for a moment, retracing his numbers and steps. That seemed right, still leaving room for the possibility of problem seeing as, no madder how well they search there is always the chance for problems. “I would like you to take the lead, I will watch your back. If you need me to talk when we get up there I can but…. I bet you got this, besides I am curious to see how you will do in this scenario.” Wolfie wasn’t smiling, but there was a hint of sadistic hope in his voice, if one knew how to place it. He didn’t care, he just waited for Hydra to take point.

  11. This kid really knew nothing, didn’t he? He fired questions at Wolfie like an automatic assault rifle on steroids. It was honestly becoming hard to keep up with the kid. Once he was able to understand the questions being asked he was able to respond. “No matter where you go, you will always find people who use hateful speech and mannerisms.” He thought about the next question for a moment trying to figure out what it was the kid was asking. “You could call me a night hunter, but not of the prey that is common for humans to hunt. I hunt the most challenging game of all. Humans. You may not ever understand why I do this, thus I have no urge to explain it too you. Just know that I have no problem killing others, and once I’m strong enough, there may be no one who is saved, and no one who is spared” his tone began to become a growl and the light behind his eyes shifted to red. He gave of a dominant and intimidating aura, though it could be thought of as stoic depending on how you look at it.

    @Dominion

  12. "CALM DOWN!" Wolfie mind yelled at him “PEOPLE ARE TALKING TO YOU, YOU NEED TO REGAIN YOUR COMPOSURE!” taking a deep breath, or attempting to, he takes a moment and looks at Zandra “No, it wasn’t your fault,” his voice wavering and weak “I just….. I just don’t do well with a lot of people all at once, all in the same place.” Still physically fighting the contractions of his muscles, when *THUD* “What was that?” Wolfie asked to the air looking around. A kid (Dominion) had apparently landed flat on his face from high up. “What the hell just happened?” He thought to himself before looking up to the building behind the kid “did he just jump from that building? Is he alright?” He began to walk toward the kid but realized that if he went much further then he may have another panic attack based on the multitude of people, and elected to stay back and let someone else check on him.

  13. “I’ll take point, but stay at the ready and stay quiet if it is a trap I want to know before it’s too late.” With that wolfie darts full speed and yet still on the tips of his toes, making almost no sound. It wasn’t fast enough for hydra to loose track of him however, he knew that. “let’s make the best of this” Wolfie thinks to himself

    Upon reaching the edge of the light a small caravan could be seen “That’s good, but we aren’t in the clear yet,” Wolfie whispered to hydra upon hydra catching up “Let us scout the area first, look for everything from traps to monsters, that way we will know for sure if it is safe or not.”

    With that wolfie started off to the right of the perimeter, he kept a close eye on the camp of the caravan along with looking for traps. He was dashing back and forth, while staying light on his feet. “I feel that we may be in the clear, but I don’t want to be wrong” He thinks to himself

  14. Wolfie took another hit “You are correct as to why I smoke, the release is what I crave.” He thought for a moment about the question he had been asked, or more of the statement. “what DO I enjoy?” He has to think on this for a little bit. “Sir, I honestly can remember the last time I have been allowed to enjoy something. Don’t get me wrong, I want to enjoy life, I want to remember what it feels like, I just don’t know how. And if you are correct in that there is no way to analyze pleasure, happiness or enjoyment, then it’s possible I never will.” With this he opened his menu and looked threw his to do list. <earning a living> was first ting there “oh yeah,” He thought to himself, “that needs to be taken care of” He looked back at Corvo “what is it that makes this Man tick? Why is it that he thinks the way he does? Has he not seen the crude aspects. Of life? Has he not experienced the heart shattering destruction that is reality?... No, not many people have experienced what you have, Shorael.”

  15. The girl stumbled she seem to be very embarrassed as to what just happened to wolfie didn’t fully understand why. “You don’t need to worry about it, it happens, I'm alright” wolfie said his voice is Gravelly, low but had a note of sincerity, standing back up strait. “don’t worry about the cigarette it happens I have more. Are you alright? I could walk you to your destination if you would like, wherever that destination might be.” Wolfie waited for a response his face still just as Stone and cold as it was before he didn’t seem to really care though at the same time there was something there something that wasn’t up front but instead it seems like it was just below the surface. Perhaps it wasn’t it was a passing thought perhaps it wasn’t. “I’m not sure exactly what it is about this girl" Wolfie thought to himself, "she is not unlike any of the other ones I have seen nor is she quite like normal I guess she is indeed of not her own cause odd for those who live in this world is virtual world we live in is it safe to say that she is more or perhaps less maybe she said that she is not completely there did she truly have no external motives as she seems? And if so, is there any way I can get to know her better. Her life seems to be a blissful one, the one I crave but can never accomplish. Maybe she can help me learn.”

  16. Wolfie heard a man walking up to the tree where he sat, though he never looked at the man. Listening to the man intently, he felt a light breeze. “If I don’t get off the tree now the wind could cause me an issue.” Griping the cigarette firm between his lips, but not enough to break it, Wolfie jumps off the tree branch, landing in a way that shows how much he used to do it. “I still got it” he thinks to himself before flipping down his hood and turning to the man who was now adjacent to him.

    His wolflike grey hair and creased face made him seem older than he actually was, he knew that, though he saw every mark as though it were a trophy of his past, rather than a blemish. His eyes were not balancing out like then normally did, instead his mind was at war with what it was he should use to respond to this man. After about thirty seconds of careful examination of everything from how then man stood, to how the man smoked, Wolfie locked onto the man’s eyes. He was searching for what made this man tick.
    “That is preposterous” He said with determination and slight force. His aura settled on Dominance and his eyes settled into balance with his Gold eyes seeming more prominent than his Red eye by maybe 5 Lumens “There is nothing in this world, nor the one we come from, that can be determined and understood by any such thing that is not rational and logical analysis” Taking a puff of his cigarette he thought of how to show such a man how he was correct.

    “For example, say you were to walk into a room filled with people, all of which you knew. Now lets say that this room was full of torcher devices, each one you see seeming more gruesome then the last. Next, Imagine that these people are all chained up, each in a cell that is to small to allow any sort of movement. Each of them begging you to help them, however you know you have no such power. Finally lets say someone you don’t know comes and mocks you before slowly slitting the throats of those you know in the room. From there you can logically determine that you would begin to, if you hadn’t already started to, feel a large amount of anger and resentment for this person.” Taking a break to take a drag, he pauses, “That being the case, there must be a way to describe how one gets to the point of happiness in a similar way.”

    @Corvo

  17. Wolfie sat in a tree on the edge of Horunka Village of the first floor. He watched as the NPC's bustled about. "I wonder what it is like to live carefree, unknowing what lies ahead but not caring about it ether. I wonder what makes life so enjoyable for them, do they know they are programs? or is that the reason they are like that? Maybe they just don't have a choice... but then again, when does anyone?" Wolfie spoke these things out loud, assuming there was no one around to hear him. His hood once again shadowed his face and his voice remained steady with a gravelly undertone. He sat, pondering for some time about these things, he always had. He wanted to know what it was that made others happy, he wanted to have a full understanding for what happiness was, though every time he tried to open that part of the chest, he felt pain. Not the pain he enjoyed that of physical pain, but instead that of a different variety, though he couldn’t quite place his finger on what it was. Lighting a cigarette, he let his dangling legs move back and forth, slowly, as if in a walking pattern. He knew that, if nothing else, he was calm though other than that he couldn’t say. “What is happiness? What drives people to be happy?”

  18. Hydra approached him soon after the sound of the beast’s data being shattered was able to penetrate Wolfies ear-drums. “Over there” Wolfie says pointing “There looks to be some sort of light, best case scenario it is a small caravan that is on its way to a city, if so we can blend in with them and hopefully make it to safety. Worst case scenario, it is a trap placed by the game to lure any players into an ambush of monsters before killing the players off. I would say it is probably worth the risk to check it out, though I believe you deserve a say in the matter.” Wolfie stood still, staring at the light in the distance, seeming not to move. “I hope that the first option is what that light is, but from what I have seen it is possible… no… likely, that the light is a trap. However even if it is a trap seeing as it is the first floor, I see no harm in checking the scene, even if we need to take time to look around and check the perimeter.” He thinks to himself as he analysis his options

  19. Wolfie was almost taken aback, “This kids words are smarter than he is” he thought to himself “How the hell does one person lack the ability to understand reality any yet can talk as if he is a dictionary?” He sat for a moment pondering this before speaking “You clearly didn’t understand what I was doing kid, Or do you just not know what it means when someone ignores your questions?” Wolfie’s voice was a low growl and his red eye began to flare. He lets out a deep sigh. “If you must know, my name is Wolfie. And because I have a feeling that you won’t let me go without answering your questions, I will humor you. No, I haven’t played ‘electronic’ games before. I have observed others doing so but I had not ever played one myself until now. And no, there are too many similarities in this world to that of earth, therefore there cannot be a valid way that our home-world is that similar to this game world. No matter how realistic it may seem.”

  20. So, @Takao told me to post about this here. I have a few Ideas for how throwing weapons could work, seeing as they are available in the anime.

    First off, I think that it should be an unlockable skill, have a quest where you have too prove your worth with them. It would be like the "Breaking the Unbreakable" Quest only you would have, for the quest, Unlimited throwing weapons and you would have to beat a designated score in so many throws on a dart board.

    Second, I think that you would have to buy ammo and keep track of it, blacksmiths being able to make them in groups of 5 needles at a time. Each group could have different properties and one person could switch between the properties that they could inflict upon the opponent.

    Third, they would be primarily used for debuffs and the Sword arts may be used to improve accuracy instead of damage. This way they wouldn't be able to be used to kill at a distance, only to create a easier to kill enemy for your party.

    Fourth, hitting with a needle would give half the hate of a normal hit, as long as you are in cover. This way you don't have to worry about being targeted.

    Fifth, If you roll a one on the battle die, you will have a chance to hit your party members based on your craft die.

    Sixth, You have to maintain a minimum of 5 feet and a maximum distance of 20 Feet, your location would need to be stated before the battle had started

    These are just Ideas for how they might work, and I would love to hear what others have to say about this idea.

    Also should this catch the attention of admins, I do have a good idea for how the quest could go.

  21. “I see, Though I doubt if I hit that I would do much.” Wolfie said in a very blunt manner, though he still did try to attack as the beast ran past him but missed. “And, given how animistic these programs are, I would say you are right in that they have marked this their territory. I wouldn’t be surprised if we saw more soon. My suggestion would be to move this battle outside, in order to lower our chances of attracting any more of them.” His eyes had shifted to Gold. “Give me a minute to check our surroundings and I will get back to you on what our next step should be”
    Leaving combat, Wolfie briskly walked to the edge of the cave to look around. The rain seemed to be letting up though the lightning was just as prevalent in the dark night sky. Suddenly he saw a light in the distance, it was possible that the light was something, or someone that they could use to disguise   themselves once they had killed this beast. Though he didn’t want to yell in the cave, the possibility of attracting more due to echo was too much. Instead he would walk back to Hydra and tell him what Wolfie found as soon as it was safe.

  22. As the man approached him, Wolfie shut his mouth and listened to the man as he ordered a beer. The man started to speak to him, though Wolfie didn’t move his head to look at the man. “The best way to get col is to fight, if you stay on the outskirts of the safe zone, then maybe you won’t die.” Wolfie said, his voice a low gravelly rumble. He was unsure of what this man wanted or if he was just attempting to make conversation. “One glass of Three Wise Men,” Wolfie asked the bartender before returning to the questions this man had asked him. “I have a lot that… What’d you call it? Troubling me? I guess you could say that. I had lived more life than most people when I had turned seven. From there I gained more experiences then those that have one hundred years. So, yes, I have things that trouble me. And I doubt you would be able to help me, even if I did tell you what it was”
