  1. Akudo sent Vigilon a message, one that confirmed the possibility of several rumors of various missing players, one of them spurring Vigilon into an "I've gotta search everywhere!" mood. Maybe he and Krysta could search for missing players together...since Krysta was also hearing rumors of a missing player who could be a friend of hers. There was likely to be a long journey, and maybe what looked like a wild goose chase. "I'm gonna need some supplies if I'm going to follow through with this..." He then remembered Shield's shop. "Of course! there's more that I can get there besides identificatio
  2. About an hour after the latest purchase, he heard a voice calling out, asking if anyone was there. "I'll be with you in a sec!" He was currently managing his forge. After all, a well-kept forge should be able to bring out better quality items...right? Well, let's just say that's what he hoped. Besides, it was good to have a well-kept forge anyway. When he came up to the counter, he noticed a large, muscular man eying the perfect quality shield he had in stock, the Shield of the Thunderhearts. "If you're interested in that shield, it'll be about 700 col, or seven tier one materials. Feel free t
  3. Vigilon had recently put up his notice showing that he was out of materials, and that customers would have to purchase from stock until later. "Business keeps dragging on day after day...hardly any customers, hardly any profit...This is why I'm not intending to be a shopkeeper, or actual blacksmith, in the real world. Then again...why did I pick such a secluded place to begin with!?!? It's near the summit of a freaking mountain!!! Just because the mountain is beside the settlement doesn't mean that the hike up here isn't at all grueling! ...*sigh*, maybe if I just focus on the positives, thing
  4. *Looks at one particular thread I'd started, and where it is now*

...Anyone ever experienced that feeling when you decide to throw in a total loss duel with an NPC(but you add in the RP that either player may choose to concede instead of dying if their HP gets too low), and you come back to it later after some time, and remember that one wrong move, or a roll of the dice, could still potentially kill your character, which you have grown attached to, leaving you hesitant to post because you're completely uncertain about the outcome of the situation, and so on the outside, you don't say a thing, and look like nothing's wrong, but on the inside, you're like, "AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA"?

...'Cause I'm totally feeling that way right now.

      Hestia

I had that feeling doing the Gemini quest when i did the maths wrong and almost did get Hestia killed really early on if it wasn't for the fact that the gemini always spares the players from death.

Meanwhile, I can try and have Vigilon concede in his fight if his HP gets too low, but that doesn't seem to stop the feeling...

  5. Holy crap, I feel like I've been gone longer than I should have... Of course, there was a point where time, life, and writer's block kept slapping me senseless... Anyway, did I miss anything big or important?

      @Hestia @Neopolitan So, nothing that I don't already know? That's ok.

@Pinball Now you've got me wondering if there are any player-ran shops that sell pizza... Honestly, it would be awesome if such a place existed in Aincrad...

      Neopolitan

I mean, if you want a pizza, you can custom order stuff from a cook shop. And if you want an active cook, well there's not many options besides me at the moment (unless Pin wants to try to take back his title of raid cook)

  6. Vigilon was a bit surprised when Krysta went in and kissed him. Of course, when his surprised expression was seen, Krysta pointed to the mistletoe that hung above the two players' heads. "Oh..." Now, that was clever. Kanari put two and two together, and realized what this was. "Wait, so you two are...? Oh...I...I see." Vigilon looked over to her, and saw her expression. That expression she had was not good news for Vigilon. Throughout the years that he'd known her, he'd been able to figure out what some of her expressions meant. "She's feeling crushed...judging by what she said earlier, I'm gu
  7. Vigilon sighed. Of course Stryder had to call him Boar Bait again. He was starting to get used to the nickname, but his problem was probably going to be Kanari's response. "Pffft...Ha ha ha ha ha!!! Boar Bait?? Ahh ha ha ha ha ha!!!! Alex, what, what did you do to get that nickname? Ha, ha ha!" Vigilon scratched the back of his neck as he groaned in anticipation. "This is gonna be my life now..." He muttered under his breath. "Well Amelia, I got that nickname during my early days. Most of the time whenever I left the safe zone, Boars. Boars everywhere seemed to come after me aggressively. I ha
  8. If there was one thing Vigilon didn't realize until a bit later, it was that there was something going on in the fourth floor. Veriost was asleep on Vigilon's shoulder as usual, not noticing what Vigilon had realized the moment he had stepped into the settlement of Snowfrost. The holidays were in town. "Why did I not see this coming? I should have seen this coming!" Well, at least he had a hat to make him appear festive enough...hopefully. He saw a few familiar faces up ahead, so he quickened his pace. Of course, he had no idea what he would be getting himself into... Simple sights

...Huh. I kind of thought there would be more unique enhancements on your prize... Anyway, I'd say you're right, assuming there will be more event bosses that I can actually take on. Besides, I do have this....item type changing thing...plus, I've got an unidentified perfect weapon, too. Who knows, I might end up with something unique, assuming the RNG is with me and the merchant!

I'm hoping to bring monthly bosses back eventually, but they would have to happen bi-monthly due to how long it takes.

    3. Neopolitan

      Neopolitan

If we implement the new rotation system into the monthly bosses, the fights themselves shouldn't take a whole month. Developing them (unless some sort of general template was created) may become your bottleneck though.

  11. Vigilon ended up finding out that he was invited to...a wedding. He didn't expect that, but, well, why not? Maybe, just maybe, he might be able to make use of his last tier two material. "Alright...maybe I can craft this into a potential gift." He picked up the hammer, grabbed the material, and went to work at the forge. Unfortunately, the item didn't turn out to be what it needed to be. Vigilon placed his forehead on the anvil, and slammed his fist down on it. "Dang it! This isn't what I needed to make!" ...So what if he couldn't make something of perfect quality out of a tier two material? H

  13. So, since I don't have photoshop, I need the help of someone who does if I am to use an Xmas themed pic of my character's faceclaim. What I need is for a santa hat to be placed on the pic in the spoiler below. If anyone can help with this problem, please let me know!

  15. Vigilon picked up a book on blacksmithing earlier, because why not? He was reading it carefully, since a little knowledge might help with his crafting. Eventually, he stumbled upon shield forging. "Hmm....Ah, I get it now!" He checked the capabilities of his profession on the menu real quick, and noticed that he was now capable of making shields. Clearly the book had nothing to do with it, but at least he had a few tips, tricks, and shield styles to work with. He managed to make five tier one shields, two of them great, two of them epic, and one of them good. His last attempt was for a tier tw

  17. Another day in the shop was another day to craft some things for the shop. Vigilon grabbed the hammer, started up the forge, and got to work. Clearly, it would take some time before he mastered crafting tier two items. At least he was able to get two rare items made. For his last craft, he went back to his tier one materials. He managed to make a pretty good sword that should be worth a nice price. "Guess I'm going to need some more practice when it comes to items of a higher tier...but on the bright side, at least I'm actually stocking the shelves with these!" Crafting Results:

  19. It had been a while since Vigilon had last made something for his shop. He might as well begin crafting again, for he might actually make something worth buying. He started with forging a rapier, and that would be the best result he'd get for the whole day. After successfully making two other tier one weapons, things would only get crazier from then on. As he attempted to forge a two handed axe from a tier two material, he accidentally got his hand stuck between the anvil and the hot weapon-to-be. How did he notice? The temperature difference, of course. "AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAGGGHH!!!!!!" This litt
  20. Eh? What's that? I might have missed some threads I need to reply to? ...Honestly, I wouldn't be surprised if I did. With unpredictable availability for use of a computer, as well as trying to put together a story or more, I might end up posting less than the rate I want to... I just hope I don't forget any threads...

  21. Why is my muse leaving me whenever I need it? It makes absolutely no sense to me!

  22. I've been gone for a bit of a while, but I'm slowly coming back, and hoping to get back into the swing of things. I clearly have a lot of threads to reply to, but it might take me a few days to get back to posting like crazy, and catch up with all these threads. However, I consider myself ready to get back to roleplaying on this site.

      Guess, who's back? Back again.

  23. I've noticed that I've been getting less and less active lately... My writer's block issue may be diminishing, but due to another problem that is strengthening it little by little, my muse is still far from where it needs to be. I still have a lot of threads to reply to, and the problem that's bothering me the most....well, I'd say it would take me a lot of courage to admit that I believe I might have an anxiety problem... I worry if my posts are well-written, rather than poorly written, I fear negative responses that are definitely possible, and sometimes when I go to bed after making a post, I find it hard to sleep because I'm already regretting the post, calling myself an idiot in my head. I'm doing what I can to resolve this problem of mine, and get back to posting at the rate I once did, but I don't know how long that is going to take me...

So, in short, I apologize to all I have threads with, and I hope to be able to get back to posting a my usual rate soon.

    1. Paglikha

      Paglikha

Although I'm not in a thread with you, I'd say take as much time as you need. I know how it feels to have an issue with anxiety (especially depending on the severity) so I understand if it takes a while for you to sort some things out. I understand this doesn't mean much for someone in your position, but what you should care about is if you think the quality of your work is good rather than the responses of people. After that, everything else follows. If you seek to improve that quality, do it because you want to improve your writing rather than you want people to enjoy it more.

But once again, I'd just like to say if you need time to figure some things out, it's completely fine.

  24. Hey, I'm sorry to all I owe posts to, as I'm currently trying to get over Writer's Block... I'll try to post like crazy once I get it off my back, and I hope to keep RPing with you all without this issue in the future!

  25. Vigilon waited patiently as Shield identified the light armor. So there wasn't anything unique. Well, what else is new? Decent for a DPS? Good enough. When the light armor was handed back to Vigilon, he took a look at what the item was now. A black leather mantle with a silver brooch in the shape of a shield. It had Mitigation, Evasion, and Recovery. Basically what he had before, but slightly better in terms of Mitigation. It was also much cooler than his other light armor. "I can go with decent for the time being. thanks again." With that, he left the shop, wondering what the next day would b
