  1. Calrex? Embers frowned hearing about him and, namely, this ‘unique skill’. Embers, had no idea what that was meant to mean. What was a unique skill, its impact? Embers found herself overwhelming curious now, so much so that the rest of what Hestia said about her build fell upon deaf ears.

What didn’t was the final killin’ of that damn bee! Embers let out a loud yell as Hestia brutally wipes it out, slashing over, and over again as Embers eyes seemed to light up. Beautiful. It wasn’t nothing like how the girl had reacted earlier today upon learning that Domarus’ intentions for a guild she liked. But it was close enough if she was honest with herself. Plus, with someone who burnt like that, you couldn’t force them out. But when they let it happen, god she loved it.

Hearing her talk about what she was willing to fight against. Embers, well, she wasn’t too surprised. Hestia was seemingly self-rightous and always, for some reason, puts others first. Embers hadn’t, and couldn’t, undstand that. Why place another so much over yourself?

“You’d better not die” Embers said as she walked over to the other girl, an angry look in her eyes “There is somethin’ bout you I don’t understand. But I will, and you ain’t dying till I get it”. Hestia had, somehow, gotten inside her head. Embers wanted to understand why her. And she would be pissed off if she never got an answer for it. “Hell, live long enough and who knows. You might just become a constant”

At the offer, Embers grinned. She was Supposed to have a meeting with Domarus later tonight. But.... "I can do some huntin' with ya" The girl said. She glanced at her inventory, namely, the list of quests. There was a question she kind of did want to ask...

  2. Embers glanced at her energy bar. It would come back soon, but she stayed where she was. Even with her energy back, she knew her damage would be insignificant in the grand scale of battle, but that didn’t mean she wouldn’t TRY and land a blow onto the oversized pest. Assuming it lived long enough as Embers watched the mob run into Hestia’s thorns, dealing more damage in that connection than she knew her Scythe could do.

“Kinda ironic, ain’t it?” Embers asked loudly “People argue what’s the best offense or defence. Who knew the answer was both?” Embers didn’t like that, but Hestia being…herself, had a point to that argument which had been playing inside her head. She glanced at the bee’s HP bar, and let out an annoyed growl. Dammit she needed to have more levels, better equipment. Something! She was getting outclassed by a tank! Someone whose primary job wasn’t’ even to DEAL damage.

  3. Handsome? Well, it was the best Embers was gunna get out of Tel if she was honest with herself. As the other girl flipped through her inventory, clearly hunting for something, Embers allowed her mind to roam, and found a question for herself. Would she ever find someone to fall in love with? To stay with, look after as they looked after her? She had to stop herself from laughing at herself. What a stupid thought to have.

‘Damn games getting inside my head. Me settle down, rather get a brand and seer my damn skin with a nazi-sign’ she mentally yelled to herself as Tel flipped an image around. It caught her by surprise, not that it was a photo of a guild gathering, but rather, how many of them Embers could actually put a name to. Hestia, Kimi, even Ruby. A smile emerged on Embers face, although not for happiness in that Tel had friends. Rather, Embers knew, Tel would be safe no matter what.

Hestia, Kimi and Ruby. They were reliable, to a degree. They would ensure Telranya was protected, or Embers would kill them for their failures.

The smile that was on Embers face grew as she took a deep breath “It seems you’ve really moved up eh T? High rankin’ guild, hell you’re so much stronger than when we met, and I ain’t talkin’ about your levels” In a private way, Embers found herself somewhat envying Tel’s life. Surrounded by people. “Still, that lot of yours, they’re good people. Gotta be if you’re hanging around them” Embers gently rested a hand on the other girls shoulder “We both know I don’t like trustin’ people I haven’t met. But honestly, I’m just happy you’ve found a place to come alive. Still remember first time we met, you were stuttering constantly. Now, well, i see a wolf, not some sheep”

  4. On the ground, Embers watched as Hestia and the Queen bee went toe for toe. Of course, the fight wasn’t even close. Hestia would win it, and Embers…Well, she hated herself. She did next to nothing, in terms of damage. It pissed her off overwhelmingly, however, she knew it was the truth. That and she had next to no energy for the fight. She let out an animalistic growl as she didn’t bother moving from her spot. Her part in this fight was done. And while part of her yearned for it, screamed for war and kicked the cage, despite the burning within her eyes, she held it back. Her energy was low, and she did nothing against the bee.

She was a warrior, and sometimes, people had to fight their own battles. This was not one of those ‘do it to prove a point’ battle, rather, she simply was useless. For now at least…

  5. Ember frowned. The hell? Why would a front liner, or anyone, SKIP over quests? They were the quickest way to become relevant, why would you? The large girl shrugged, each to their own, even if she thought ‘their own way’ was stupid. Embers glanced at her shoulder, the hawk, who made a noise right at the girl rolled her eyes. Embers scowled at her familiar as the other girl stood up. Although, what she said did confuse the girl.

“The ‘ells wrong with how I said hi?” Embers asked as she looked forwards the endless waves of sand that was the direction they would be headed. “Mincing words takes too long, too many boring pleasantries and crap. You want something, do it, take it” Embers glanced over her shoulder at the other girl with a sly smile “As for the rest of it, well, damn right I’m hot. I’m me” She said confidently

  6. Embers smiled spotting Hestia fighting back, finally she was back in the action. But what the hell had happened to her? Embers knew the queen bee had attacked, and the next she saw, Hestia hit the deck. Her crimson eyes zeroed in on the Queen’s stinger. Was that the culprit? She let out a growl as she heard Hestia speak up, mentioning how the queen was all that was left as an issue. Spotting the bee’s hp bar, she managed to notice how the last minion was barely a hit away. Embers grinned. It was hers!

“Well, I’ll clear a path!” Embers charged forwards with reckless abandon, once again, and while her Scythe didn’t land on the queen, it wasn’t Embers pain target. Her Scythe found the wing of the last worker wasp, and it exploded right as Ember botched her landing, tripping over a rock and hitting the ground. Sitting up, growling in anger, she found Rowan having landed near her, and the girl gave a nod to Hestia. She was fine, and it was her turn to take that queen down a peg.

  7. Embers, lost within her own mind, let out a feral growl as it was clear the wasps were going after Hestia! Throwing a glance behind her, she could see the armoured girl was still on the ground, injured. If she had been thinking, she’d remember that Hestia was in no danger, however, rationality was far from supplied within a blood haze that she had fallen into.

The wasps charged and the girl swung to try and guard Hestia, but each swing had missed and they got past her. She spun on the heel of her foot, only to see one of the wasps explode upon contact of Hestia, and the word ‘Thorns’ echoed in her mind. Embers grinned. It seemed Hestia, despite being down, was far from out.

That’s when she spotted the Wasps moving, and Embers threw herself in action. With Rowan guilding her strikes, she found the weakest wasp and craved it into crystals, landing on the ground and sliding a little on the ground as she found her footing. “Now it’s an even fight!” She yelled at the Queen, rage burning in her eyes “But it sure as ‘ell ain’t fair! You’re screwed!”

  8. The girl smirked at Domarus as she heard him speak. While it was true he had done most the word, all that mattered was who claimed the final blow, who was the one who could prove they had claimed the kill. It wasn’t a ‘fair’ way to act, but her dad taught her that fair was often times a crutch, and fair didn’t put food on the table. Still though, Domarus didn’t disappoint as she struck one one of the bears with brutal efficiency, as to what she expected. Domarus was nothing, if not effective when it came to using his battle-axe.

Hearing his proposition, Embers bit her lower lip slightly. Part of her wanted, nothing more, than to go shot for shot with him. Much like at a bar, just drink for drink. But she also knew that levels would cripple her, and there was no way she could fight 4 monsters at once, and beat them, before Domarus did. She charged forwards, and her Scythe landed true, craving through the bears face and dropping it nice and low. She knew Domarus would claim the kill, but that would exqualise their scores..

“We both know you outdamage me, for now. If I fought four of these damn bears that are for your level, I’m gunna get torn apart” Embers wasn’t lost in a blood haze, and while she loved fighting, she wasn’t going to get herself killed  “I’ll stick to the ones for my level for now..but when I catch you up, I’m holding you to this…”

  9. Embers watched with glowing crimson eyes as Hestia cut her way through the wasps before her, and took a LOT of their health away. Was that the power of being such a high level? Embers grinned, as she couldn’t wait until the day when it was her turn to wipe out everyone who stood before her. And she would, and it would be a glorious day when her Scythe would be cutting down every single person who dared sand against her.

However, that’s when the impossible happened. Hestia got hit…hard?! Embers found her feet moving instantly, and she was by the other girls side in seconds. Embers heard the girl say she couldn’t move, and rage burned through the girl. How dare those pests. She was washed away, and a sick grin appeared on the girls face as she slowly moved one hand towards Hestia, while a murderious look etched across her face.

Gently, Embers placed her hand against Hestia’s shoulder “They’ll suffer” She said simply, before turning to face the wasps, and a growl emerged from within her throat. Once that screamed violence as Embers felt her animal instinct set in, and made no attempt to stop them from washing the girl away.

The queen was the first, Embers Scythe didn’t damage it, but it was enough to force it back. As for the other wasps, Embers wide-arched swing managed to land on two of them, taking one to basically nothing.

“I don’t care what your program says, I’m standing here, and you will NOT ignore me!” Embers yelled loudly “You want her? You better go through me!” Embers took a step to get between Hestia and the wasps, her mind so lost that it, once again, forgot about aggro and the fact that Hestia wouldn’t die from the strikes. In her mind, she had no choice. Hestia, annoyingly, was worth fighting for.

  10. Embers watched the insects turn to face her, and the girl growled. Had Hestia failed? She tightened the grip on her Scythe, but despite it all, she waited. For some reason, a voice in her head was screaming at her to trust the other girl. The same way it screamed at her to duck when she was about to get punched. Her instinct. She would trust it.

Embers smiled broadly as she heard the sound of steel on steel, as well as Hestia’s war cry. While a tad cheesey for her personal liking, it did its job as all the insects targeted the tank. Embers watched the assault, but had little doubt the girl would survive. After all, these insects were truly that to her. Insects. Embers frowned for a moment. Why was this girl helping her for quests that are, truly beneight her? Was this Hestia’s selflessness and self-righteousness coming out again? She growled a little as the idea, before throwing herself forwards.

But this time, despite her swings, the wasps saw her coming and flew up, and while Rowan tried to block them, they snuck past and the girls Scythe only managed to nick a single target. She found herself beside Hestia, with an annoyed look of her face as Rowan landed on the girls Scythe.

“Shut it” she said while staring at the Hawk “Next time, keep ‘em in range would ya. Unlike you, I don’t have wings you ass” She muttered as the familiar tilted its head, before taking off once again. Embers turned to Hestia “Your turn”. Despite the failure of her turn, this was a fight, and Embers had made a promise to be fair. Hestia deserved that much.

  11.

Listening to Domarus talk about Embers, she held her tongue about telling him the truth. She didn’t care for the girl, but rather, the look in her eyes. There were just some things that the person had to say, and that was one of them. She rolled her eyes a little at Domarus as they walked. She knew he didn’t care about the other guild leader. She wasn’t that smart and even Embers managed to work that one out.

Up on the twenty second floor, Embers had been humming a tune and playing with Rowan. Her Hawk had been flying around, hopping from shoulder to shoulder as the girl tried to grab him. It wasn’t a ‘fun’ game, but it gave her something to do. She could have thought about Domarus and his plan, but she stopped caring if she was honest. If Domarus tried anything, she’d simple use her strength and problem solved.

Spotting the animals, she grinned. Finally, a good-old fashion slug fest! She smiled cockily as she pulled her Scythe off her back, and eyed the injured bears. Given how much Domarus had done already, they were easy picking!

She charged forwards, slamming into the first bear, but her Scythe wasn’t aiming it despite the swing. Instead, it carved its way through the weakened second and third bears, and she dropped to her back and slid under the fourth and final bear, before leaping onto her feet and spinning around. Two dead.

“That’s two kills to me…” She said cockily “Can’t you clean up after yourself anymore Domarus?” She was goating him. She wanted to see him go all out, like he did in his fight against her. She wanted to see him burn!

  12. Embers honestly didn’t care much for the information she had given Hestia. In part, it wasn’t much, a few names and pieces that she knew. She didn’t listen to Domarus much, so she was a bad informant if she cared to be. But she didn’t see herself as betraying Domarus, after all, the stuff she knew wasn’t hard to work out. Of course, there would be limits on what she could say. But Domarus hadn’t given her anything juicey to use.

Embers grinned at Hestia’s words. “Indeed, I can’t wait to get hackin’ into it” She grabbed her Scythe and, finishing preening her Hawk, reequipped her Reaper Armour. Dressed in black and pulling her Scythe alongside her, the girl grinned a cocky grin. Her victims were just begging to be reaped. She rolled her shoulders as she tightened her grip on her Scythe. Charge in, oh, there wouldn’t be anything that would prevent it!

“Hes, make sure you keep their eyes on ya”. Embers hated trusting others to keep her alive, and yet with Hestia, she knew. She just knew, that she was safe. Hestia wouldn’t fail her. If she did, Embers was certain she’d be in trouble, but for some odd reason, Embers found herself entirely trusting the words of the other girl.

She turned to Rowan, who squawked, The girl gently rubbed his head with her armoured hand “It’s time bud, go get ‘em” she said as the familiar flared its wings and shot forwards towards the bees, causing a slight distraction and giving Embers a lane to charge in. The girl didn’t hesitate and, despite lacking the Charge ability, threw herself forwards.

Guided by her familiar, Embers managed to land three of her swings with her Scythe. After her swings, she took a step to the side and faced them. She noticed how she had done….Nothing, to the main boss. But that was for Hestia to deal with, for now, she’d focus on the small try. She looked at the other girl.

“You’d better not get me killed Hes, if you do I swear”

  13. Embers grinned. There was little doubt, and honestly, rightfully so. From the time she turned 18, Embers had been going to clubs, bars, getting drunk, hooking up and living on raw emotion. If she wanted to fight, she fought, if she wanted someone to share her bed and not sleep, then that’s what she did. Life was a ride as she never knew what she wanted, but other times, she awoke in a violent mood, and then it was down to the cage for fighting. She smiled at the memories, the fights, the victories, but equally, her defeats. What she’d give to relive those.

Hearing the girls offer, Embers acted as if she hadn’t heard it. An offer to join the guild. She hadn’t said it to the other girl but part of why she joined Domarus was a personal search. To find a place she belonged. She had been curious if joining a group would make her feel something, and when she joined him, there had been nothing. She bit her lower lip, maybe with Hestia it would be different. She didn’t know. But with Telrenya in the guild too…She wasn’t sure. She didn’t want to embarrass what was effectively a little sister to her. She mulled over the idea, right as another question was asked, and Embers let out a soft chuckle.

“I ain’t the smartest one, but this sound like you’re probing for information to take him down” Embers let out a deep breath, and realized, damn she wanted a ciggie to chew on. “Besides Keres, the damn pain freak who likes getting beaten, he’s got some kids who follow him around. And his three other ‘generals’” Embers made air quotes as she said the word “I wasn’t fully listening to him, he said something like…Aether? I know another one is a girl, but I wasn’t listening to the name…” Embers shrugged “When he starts his speeches, I sorta zone out honestly. But I’d say be careful for two of the kids. Ones some psycho he’s got chained up, kid was part of a Pk guild and, well, he’s about as unhindged as they come” The girl had met him once, and wanted to kick him off the cliff near his cave. He was a bad apple.

“The other is some girl he keeps close by, names something like, Crow? It’s some bird I think, honestly can’t remember, but he seems to be chat with her a lot” The girl recalled a few times she’d spoken to Domarus, who had referenced her importance, not that Embers cared to listen, not being aware of the importance of that raven-haired girl to the one near her.

  14. Domarus and Hestia. Once again, internally, the battle sparked up. Who would she follow? Domarus, with the hidden flame and a quest for absolute control. Or Hestia, with the blue flame who acted selflessly and wanted what could be considered the best for everyone? Selecting a side would be near impossible. Or so Embers had believed. The more time she spent with Hestia, the more she found herself drawn in, wanting to support her.

“Damn right I will. I did it in the real world Hes. I used to be a hella strong fighter, and nothing, not even this stupid game…” The girl didn’t finish her sentence as she continued to fix up Rowans feathers, muttering something under her breath as she worked on one of the White-Tailed Hawks wings with a careful touch, a kind touch, over her usual brute force.

Hearing the upcoming battle, Embers let out a soft hum. One big one, three small. The Three small ones though, well, Embers couldn’t kill them quickly enough so “I say kill the little ones first. Leaves the main target all alone” The said. It was the most logical choice. "In a fight when you’re outnumbered, even the playing field. In a bar, typically meant kick the idiots mates in the balls before going after him". Embers smiled at the memories of those very fights, chuckling to herself even.

  15. Embers could only watch as Hestia carved her way through the last two Wasps, and Embers could only watch and let out a low whistle. She was, like before, beautiful in her own way. It wasn’t like with Domarus, where she knew she found him hot and his fire burnt within her veins to where she lost all control. Watching Hestia on the battlefield was much like a nice drink. You wanted to savour it.

Of course, when Hestia had a go for her lack of damage, Embers scowled at the other girl. She was unaware the other girl was baiting her, and fell for it hook, line and sinker “Oh I will. Domarus might have some stupid levels on me, and that weird maid, but he can’t stop me…Idiot thinks I’m gunna lay down my life for him” The girl had become more, and more aware that Domarus had been controlling of her. She had a feeling from the moment she met him, and Hestia had given her the last push to know for certain it was happening. But in reality, Domarus was perfect, the same way Hestia was. Someone to beat, a human target.

The girl frowned spotting Hestia on the ground, right as Rowan landed back on her shoulder. She turned to the bird, feeding him a snack before sighing “Idiot, your feathers are a complete mess” She muttered, sitting down and started preening her familiars feathers by hand. In doing so, the girl unequipped her Reaper Armour and wore a much more comfortable red tube top. “So I presume we’ve still got the queen bee to kill? This quest can't be this simple"

  16. Embers eyes burnt with the image of Hestia, and all the ways she could fight against her. How long would her defences hold against her unrelenting assault? It was a question she’d love to find out once she had the levels under her belt, once her Scythe would be able to cleave through armour and flesh! Part of her mind begged her to swing at the girl now, to truly test herself.

That’s when Hestia placed her hand on Embers, and the girl blinked. The fire was there, burning as bright as it always had, and yet, she could…think. She grinned as she took a sharp excited breath “You’re god damn right. One day, I’m gunna see if you truly are a formidable tank” Embers grinned and tapped the girls shoulder lightly “The only way to find out, is to find out for myself”. With Embers focused on track, her eyes zeroed in on the weaker of the two Wasps. If she could cut down their numbers…

She charged forwards, and took a swing at the Wasp. However, the small creature managed to fly out the way of her strike, meaning it hit nothing but air “T-the hell! Why is it dodging now and not before!” She glanced back at Hestia with a playful smile “This is on you ain’t it…?”

  17. Embers let out a loud laugh, but it was not one of mocking, but one of confidence. Hestia really wanted to try push her buttons, to fire her up. And it was working. Embers felt a gnawing within her. Not to be powerful, but to be stronger than Hestia. She frowned as she watched the other girl charge forwards. Was that truly what she wanted? Why! She let out a growl as she watched the other girl mess up her footing, causing her strike to miss.

At the challenge, a clear challenge. Embers grinned a grin that consumed her entire face. A challenge that excited her to no end “Ohh, I will beat you one day” Embers said, emotions building up so much it sounded as if there was hate in her voice “I will get my Scythe, or even my hands, on you. I will see you burn, and yet, I will wipe you out myself” Embers spun her Scythe at the wasps, but the girls aim had changed. In those moments, Hestia became her soul focus to her swing missed the wasp rather easily. Embers mind was now seemingly overwhelmed with the idea, of being Hestia, and lost in emotion, she struggled to take aim at her targets.

  18. Embers felt someone bump into her, and the girl shot up in an instant, her hand a tight fist. She would have swung it hard, but spotted it was the Kid and prevented herself from taking it all the way. However, his words made her growl and stick her leg out, tripping him over and, if he didn’t trip, she gave him a hard shove to ensure he hit the ground.

“Idiot, watch where you’re walking” she said, making no move to help Stryder up “And if you call me crazy again, I’m going to kick your ass so hard…” She growled her sentence as Rowan, the girls hawk, landed on her shoulder. Not wearing her armour, instead in a tub short and jean-shorts, along with combat boots, she basked in the sunlight as she stared at him with glowing eyes and burned in the sunlight “Now, you gunna listen and not be an idiot, or do I have to knock some sense into you?”

  19. Levels, tiers. Embers found herself not able to match purely because of those. She knew she had the heart for it, and yet, she was just powerless. But, if nothing else, it drove the girl deeper to become stronger. To claim what was hers by right of her existence. She knew that much. She wanted power, and while she was trapped in this game, she would take it. By force if she god-damn had too!

“Climb all you want Hestia, to whatever league you want…” Embers looked at the girl, and smirked. This was a controlled smirk, Embers, while losing herself in blood, kept some rationality within her mind “I will come for you. I will take what is mine by right….” The girl spun her Scythe around her with expert ease, before charging in and landing a solid hit on both of the Wasps, even managing to cut through one wing of the weaker wasp, and leaping into the air, landing beside Hestia with a loud thud as the large girl hit the ground “Power is mine by right, and these damn creatures will not stand in my way…”

  20. Embers was, well, slightly happier to hear that the other girls familiar acted up also. So it wasn’t just Rowan being an asshole, familiars were all acting up. She looked at the Hawk, who acted as if he hadn’t flown off like an asshole…again!

“Trust me, I’ve wanted too but…” The girl shook her head “I can’t bring myself to punish him. He ain’t the Rowan from the real world, but I’ve…well, always had a soft spot for this idiot” She stroked the birds head, preening his feathers with her fingers with a softness that didn’t exist in the girls face.  “He just…he’s so independent, flies off with no warning…” The girl shook her head. She could worry about it later. She spun around on the heel of her boot to face the girls behind her “You’ve both done this quest right, it’s just about in the woods right?” She asked. She had already accepted the first half, and now just needed to find the location. Given they’d both done it, they could point her in the right direction.

  21. Part of Embers hadn't wanted to go this far, but, it was beyond her control at this point. Fae had to be stopped, and the Kid needed to know a lot of things. Domarus, Hestia, all of it was boiling up inside of her. Fae's assassination attempt on herself, however, was the final nail in the coffin in Embers opinion. The step that was beyond redemption. Embers sat at the teleporter on the 5th floor. She was going to get something out of this stupid quest, it had been on her mind for a while, and she wasn't sure how to tell the kid, so this was, in her opinion, the best way.

'Stryder, come to the 5th floor, it's urgent. Don't make me wait'

She'd even opted to use his name, instead of kid. She still wanted to punch him in the face as hard as possible, but he had his merits, plus Hestia had an annoying soft spot for him. And the girl had become almost like a tumour, latching through her and changing her. It was something she hated, and didn't understand at all.

    @Stryder

  22. Hestia liked the uphill battle? Embers grinned, now Hestia was truly after her own heart. Not only did this girl have a beautiful burn within her, but she charged headfirst into her challenges. She had expected the other girl to shy away, but this was something she adored to witness, adored to battle alongside! Embers rolled her shoulders as she spotted Hestia’s strike..KILL two Wasps!? And they weren’t even that low, meaning the other girl was FAR ahead of her when it came to damage dealt. Despite being the one with a Scythe, Hestia was outclassing her so much it wasn’t even close!

“The hell?! They both had, easily, over 100 health left! Since when did you get attacking Sword Arts?” Embers had only seen the other girl use her Taunt ability, and that was it. To see her, not only with a sword, but clearly high level sword arts. Dammit, she was so pathetically weak! An angry growl escaped her lips as she charged recklessly in forwards. She wasn’t gunna match Hestia’s damage, but damn in hell she was the only one to have fun!

She spotted the Wasps lack of reaction, and her Scythe’s strikes landed perfectly on their targets, getting critical shots on both of them as the girl grinned “There we go, i can’t match ya for damage, but at least I can go blow-for-blow with ya!”

  23. Embers frowned at the girls first comments. Was that…an attempt at self-flirting?! Embers wasn’t entirely sure, but dismissed it partly in her confusion. What caught her attention next was that the girl was girls list of quests and the comment about the front line.

“The hell is a front-liner doin’ here?” Embers asked, rather bluntly. There was no tact within her voice, to any capacity. She was curious, so she asked. “Aren’t the lot upstairs like, stupidly high levels or something? The hell are you quest hunting on the 5th floor for?”

A voice spoke in her head, and Embers let out a sigh. It wouldn’t hurt to listen to it, even if the voice wasn’t her own. Embers rolled her shoulders a little before letting out an almost animal growl “Look, if you wanna do some quests, I’ve gotta kill some shark thing out in the sand dunes. You could come along, doubt it’ll be a threat to you, but ya never know”

The offer wouldn’t hurt her, after all, Embers lost nothing by inviting the other girl and knew where she had to go in order to find the sand-shark monster.

    @Ruby

  24. Embers mind clicked slightly, Fae had been assigned to kill her? Embers pulled the other girl closer to her face, and smiled a vicious smile “You’re assigned to me? And that’s how you planned on killing me, with poison? Fae…” Embers dropped the other girl, and kicked her hard in the stomach “You’re a coward, using others to do your own work” Embers leaned down and grabbed Ragdoll, holstering the other girl onto her shoulder “You’re pathetic Fae, not even worth lifting my Scythe for. You're not worth the effort it would take to kill you”

Embers turned her back on her ‘assassin’, and began the short walk back to the store. Embers kicked open the door and dumped the other girl onto a table, shaking her head as she did. What the hell had today ground down to? A failed assassination play by an idiot of a young girl? Well, it seemed she had to visit a certain someone soon. Fae had gone off the deep end, one step too far.
