  1. Krysta charged up her sword art once more, and decided to try striking a different spot of the cannon. Her weapon would shine with holy energy as she swung it to strike her target, and that energy burst when she made the hit, and the cannon's HP would receive damage. For those within the control room who had smiles on their faces, those smiles faded immediately. Ellyria's eyes widened when she saw that the cannon's HP was no longer full. "Did she just damage the Main Cannon?!?" She exclaimed. Captain Vulban was utterly shocked at the result of Krysta's latest attack. "Oh, shit..."
  2. Krysta would then ready her blade to attempt a sword art. Her attack would clang against the cannon, but an HP Bar appeared instead of the expected <<Immortal Object>>. The Cannon could be destroyed, the damage potential of The Bardiche could be crippled...now she just needed to figure out where she would need to strike in order to deal damage. The two NPCs stared at Krysta as if she was being stupid. "Did she just..." "Swing her sword at the cannon...?" Ellyria looked closely at th
  3. Ellyria watched this unfold, but she still had a wary expression on her face. Being a player herself, she knew how some players might think, or how they might act. This obvious critical hit was probably a result of the element of surprise. Now that Krysta knows the cannon can fire more than just a blast of energy, she's more likely to be on her toes in terms of taking action. Granted, it's possible she might reevaluate her options, but for now, Ellyria will be on the assumption that Krysta will continue her assault, regardless of which direction she takes. Krysta rolled the ca
  4. "Missed! Just barely, missed!" called out the NPC manning the weapon's controls. "Don't worry yet, what we do next depends on what she does now. If she retreats, we'll be free to continue the operation. If she tries to escape the range of our weapon and enter the decks, our peers will block her." The captain noted, hoping to reassure his ally. Krysta knew she had to do something. She then looked to the weapon itself...maybe it was time she took a bit of a gambit... She began making her way over to the cannon itself, running up the steps towards the upper surface deck.
  5. Ellyria and the Captain of The Bardiche were curious to see the ship's main cannon in action against a player. While it was nothing close to the devastating power held by the mysterious flagship that disappeared a long while ago, it had to have some capability against both opposing ships and groups respectively, though the NPCs would be the ones to actually use it. This was part of why Ellyria hired NPCs into her guild, anyway, for players couldn't take every possible action to do what what necessary without breaching morality, while certain NPCs might have been the tools she and her player un
  6. The NPC stationed at the control room was with his subordinate, who was finishing up preparations for their weapon. "It seems everyone there has been evacuated, and our target's decided not to follow. This is perfect, activate the weapon!" He ordered. Ellyria was willing to watch this unfold. She did not believe Krysta to stick around if her HP dropped too low, and expected Krysta to be forced to retreat. the amount of hirelings she had killed so far was able to show a part of what she was capable of, both offensively and defensively. The Bardiche's main cannon, if it was powerful as it was in
  7. Krysta was fully aware that she was far from victorious in the long run of this battle. She may have defeated waves of underlings, but she would need to continue onward if she had any hopes of stopping this airship and the player-ran organization that was on board. What the princess needed to do next was find out where she should go next, there was likely something she could try and put a stop to, someway, somehow. Surely defeating underlings would not bring much progress to her current goal. NPCs were still leaving the area, and Krysta considered following them in, but to d
  8. Once Krysta's final opponent had picked up their weapon, Krysta would attack with Radiant Strike, finishing her opponent. "You fought well. I hope you find yourself in a better place..." She remarked. The princess would then take the chance to look around and see that people were retreating into other areas of the ship. There had to be a reason for this. Of course, until she saw evidence of there being another reason, she could only conclude that it must have been their unwillingness to fight Krysta. She didn't mind, of course, and this was also a good thing, for she now needed to recover her
  9. Just because Krysta's victory was inevitable, did not mean it would take time to achieve. While those within the control room were making preparations to activate the ship's primary weapon, Krysta and the last mercenary in combat with her were still fighting. After some time of having a bit of a standoff, the mercenary looked towards a certain direction, and Krysta attempted to strike. Krysta's attack was blocked, but the impact knocked the weapon out of their hand. Once again, Krysta would give her opponent a chance to pick up their weapon so that this fight could continue honorably.
  10. To any guests, readers, and possibly anonymous, to anyone it may concern, as I am aware that my threads get read on occasion...

Krysta's background and lore are about to be revamped so drastically that a large portion of content involving Krysta's life(and her reflections on it) will irreversibly be retconned. This revamp was spoken of on the site's discord server, but I wanted anyone not on the server to have a chance to know, on the chance it feels like the change is messy or came out of the blue.

Aside from that, I hope that threads old and new can still be found enjoyable by both lurking reader and writing player alike. Have a wonderful day!

  12. [Day 21] [6/23/2023] Krysta's shop had been getting busier as of recent. Word must have been spreading, and those who needed equipment were coming. She would need to get to stocking up her shelves more efficiently soon. She should prepare to make plenty of different items so that she wasn't always making custom, though every time she made something rather unique in design, someone would appear to purchase it. It cannot have been a coincidence. However, speaking of unique designs... A player had entered to leave an order for light armor that was rather unique in design, thou
  13. Krysta had just enough energy for one sword art, hopefully it would work. Krysta readied her weapon, though it would seem that her attack would be sidestepped at just the right moment. Krysta then prevented her enemy's attack by a quick move to disarm them. Krysta stayed where she was. "Go on." Krysta spoke. "Pick it up." The mercenary, at first, was confused as to why Krysta would allow her foe in combat to retrieve their weapon. Perhaps it was to give her a short breather, or a moment to strategize, or a window of opportunity. Slowly, they moved towards their weapon, and picked
  14. The three mercenaries looked surprised over how unfazed Krysta seemed to be after their attacks. Krysta took position and readied her sword art. "They're all counting on me..." She noted under her breath. Her attack would finish off all but one of the remaining enemies. Said remaining enemy would attempt to make an attack against Krysta, but she would deflect his attack with her weapon. Krysta then began to slowly make her advance towards her remaining opponent, whose morale was starting to falter, based on their expression. "Fates aren't favoring me, it seems..." They noted grim
  15. Krysta gave her head a slight nod in understanding. She felt fatigued, and looked to her energy. She couldn't use any Sword Arts with this amount...so perhaps it was time for Krysta to revitalize herself. She would first deal with the incoming attacks, as it didn't cost her any energy for her to dodge...but, then again, Krysta's HP was recovering at a higher value than the damage her enemies could deal against her. She positioned her blade, the tip facing the ground, her hands holding it in place, and she closed her eyes. She felt only a damaging impact from one strike against her, th
  16. Krysta's onslaught against these mercenaries was taking a toll on her energy, though she was uncertain if her enemies were able to notice. As the last three mercenaries of those who remained joined in the fray, Krysta's next attack devastated all four that were present, with holy energy arcing from her blade to finish off the ninth mercenary. Krysta's attack had knocked the remaining three enemies back, so they began making their way back towards her, not that it would do them any good at this rate, but their sense of loyalty was astonishingly admirable. "Your loyalty to your employers,
  17. Krysta would speak to her opponent once more. "Then perhaps it is time I changed things up a little, and stopped playing around." She said before activating a different Sword Art, Luna Regalia. Three enemies were stricken by this sword art, and Holy Energy arced along the blade to smite the eighth foe, and all stricken foes were slain. The ninth mercenary caught the weapon with his own swordcatcher, but the distance between him and Krysta's blade, as well as what the weapon had just done against his allies, left him shaking and incapable of landing an attack properly. Three more mercenari
  18. Krysta was right, her opponent stood no chance on his own. "For once, I think you're right. Come on, boys, together now!" As the three other enemies entered the fray, Krysta readied another Sword Art. When she activated and used it, it stuck only one, before it was caught by the persistent opponent's swordcatcher. Once again, Krysta found herself having to free her blade from her foe's choice of weapon. "Hah, you're starting to become predictable at this rate!" Her foe remarked. Krysta knew this wasn't a fight she could lose, nor could she afford to lose this fight. Who knows what c

  20. Krysta happened to notice it was quite the busy day this day. First, a pink haired player entered the shop and browsed, before picking out a set of Cloth Armor of her respective tier. Once the pinkette had equipped her new armor, Astralin arrived, giving a smile and a wave before taking a turn to browse the already dwindling stock. Krysta would need to replenish stock the moment she got a chance. She turned to the pink haired player once more and said to her, "Thank you for your purchase, feel free to come back anytime you need." Astralin asked if she could try on a set of Cloth Armor, th
