Kimi

Kimi was laying in bed looking through her items she crafted in her studio below. She let out a small sigh, “Just need one more perfect song to pay off Sey and I’m debt free.” Kimi rolled around in her sheets making a mess on her bed. She thought back to the pirate quest she went on with Hestia and Kairi. “I shouldn’t have shown up.” She said with her mouth covered by her pillow. Kimi sighed even heavier and buried her face into her pillow saying once more, “If I wasn’t there Kairi wouldn’t have gotten mad.” Just then she had some doubtful thoughts appearing in her mind, but before it gotten any worse Kimi received a message from Hestia asking if she wanted to kill some dragons that was from a quest chain. Kimi stared blankly at the message for a moment before replying, “Yeah, sure. I’ll be there in a moment.” Kimi closed her menu and rolled over to stare at her ceiling for a moment. “Well I better get going. Don’t want to keep Hestia waiting.” 

Kimi took some time getting ready since she wasn’t really up for going out tonight. The only real motivation she had at the moment was just seeing Hestia, but she wasn’t sure if that would be the right move. Regardless it was a move anyways and it’s better than doing nothing at all.

Kimi accepted the hug from Kairi and went back to her thoughts. She was fairly preoccupied with the feeling of being the cause of the earlier argument and just wanted to be alone to her thoughts. Hestia caught on to Kimi's reaction and went to check on her asking, "If she was okay." Kimi didn't bother to look at her for the moment and just gave a small nod saying, "Yeah, i'm fine. Don't worry about it." Kimi looked back at the two and towards the sailor for a brief moment before heading on forward into the island more. Kimi tightened her gloves as more negative thought started to fill her mind. Though she was fairly strong in appearance and stance this was really all a ploy to mask her insecurities and self doubts. Kimi felt as if she did wrong despite not knowing what it was and the fact that Hestia defended her didn't help ease the thought that it wasn't her fault.

Kimi furrowed her brows for a moment as a voice in her head slowly began raising its voice saying, "You're worthless." All she wanted was to go out to improve herself, have some fun, and fight pirates, but the voice continued, "You will never reach your goals and be useless." Kimi unconsciously went to fix her glasses out of habit, but she forgot that in the game, you are a perfect person. As that thought settled in she felt a bit worse knowing that even if she proves herself here, what about when she out of the game. More and more thoughts ran through her mind as she realized how far away from her goals she really was, and that she should focus more on herself to get to the frontlines instead of messing around.  

Kimi rolled out of bed tired and grumpily. Her time spent trying to sleep didn't serve her well and she wished she could just knock out at any moment, but her head was full of negative thoughts. Kimi looked down at Noodle who slept silently at the foot of her bed. As she reached out she stopped herself just inches away from his head and told herself. "Its best I don't wake him." And she withdrew her hand. While she got out of bed to take a look around her house she thought to herself now is probably a good time to craft. Maybe it will even make her tired enough to sleep.

Kimi followed Ryo down the narrow corridor that lead them to the Banshee's lair. "We'll that was easy, lets hope the next batch are just as so." Kimi said patting the dust that gathered on her leg during that little fight. Not long after the group found the Banshee, but she wasn't alone. She was accompanied by two more Undead Guards just the same as which she fought earlier. After Ryo landed his stun attack on the Banshee and Hestia followed up with her Howl Ability. Kimi went to make her move and tried using her Tornado Technique once again. Even though the previous fight was won with just one move, this one proved to be different. As she performed her attack only one of the Undead guards got caught and she would have hit the banshee, but she seemed to phase through her. "Darn, I guess i have to try a little harder next time."

Kimi was still unsure about everything, having her in the middle of the conflict made her feel as if it was her fault. At the moment she just wished to be alone and really wouldn't mind going back or just waiting at the boat along side the sailor. Kimi let out a quiet, but long sigh as Kairi suddenly said sorry. Hestia was quick to drop the subject and just forget about it, but Kimi had more concerning thoughts. As Hestia lent a hand to Kimi to pick her up, she just nodded and accepted it. "Thanks." Kimi gestured for Noodle to come by her side as she got up off the boat and started making her way inland. She heard Hestia mention something for a brief moment, but she couldn't quite catch what she said as she was already a fair distance in front of them not paying too much attention to her surroundings. 

"New weapon? Yeah... I got new gear, but I never said anything about it." Kimi said with confusion in her voice. The tension on the boat began to tighten a bit more leading to the sailor who was giving them a ride, get the boat to go faster. Kimi was far from comfortable as she expected as leaning back on the boat to relax didn't help ease her nerves. Slowly she started to meddle with her hands a bit as frustration was flying about between Hestia and Kairi with Kimi being some part of the equation. Kimi being the slightly socially awkward person she is looked over to the side to try and distract herself from what was happening and even called Noodle over for a moment so she can play with him. Eventually the boat finally arrived at the island Kimi hardly noticed until they hit a sudden stop. "Well here we are. Be careful out there." The NPC said to the party.

Kimi wasn't sure what to say at Kairi's comment or where the credit stealing came from. She was really just here for fun and thought it would be exciting to fight some pirates since she herself wanted to be one. "Well personally I'm just looking for a fun challenge. You guy's can have whatever loot the pirates drop. My reward is just the experience itself." Kimi said with slightly furrowed brows. Kimi leaned back and listened contently to what Hestia had to say while she let her arm hang off the boat. Off in the distance a island appeared and started to grow in size as they shortened the distance between it. Kimi glanced back into the water to watch Noodle happily swim with them. "Well ladies, It looks like we're nearly there. I can't go with you, but I will stay on the shore waiting. Just be sure to make it back quickly or the storm might take us on the way back." The sailor said ignoring the groups planning. 

Kimi watched as Hestia was grabbed the the monster and tossed to a nearby stone pillar. "The hell!" Kimi said a bit furiously as she was worried that Hestia could for once actually be hurt since she didn't have her armor. Kimi swiftly scrolled through her inventory to equip her gloves alone and started sprinting towards their squishy enemy. As she charged the octopus didn't take notice of her most likely due to Hestia using Howl earlier. She had more than a clear shot at the monsters crystallized head when she leaped again and launched herself forward to destroy her opponent. As she finally made her way forward she unleashed a more devastating hit as she now had her weapons with her. The hit knocked the octopus far back towards the deeper end of the river where it laid recovering from Kimi's strike. "You alright Hestia?" Kimi said worried as she noticed how her health dropped nearly a third of its full capacity. 

Once Hestia's howl was activated the crystal octopus let go of Kimi launching her into the water nearby. Kimi plummeted into the clean water making a loud splash. Noodle was quick to react and came to Kimi's aid who was traveling pretty deep into the water. With Noodle by Kimi's side both were able to surface fairly quickly and Kimi was more than ready to pummel the crystal octopus that ruined her enjoyable moment. "And here i thought i might catch a break." Kimi said as she lept out of the water with the help of Noodle. Kimi cocked her bare fist back as she was prepared to break the crystals that were formed at the back of the octopus's head. As she came down with her fist, Kimi use her whole body to put force behind the hit and smashed the octopus along with the crystals that lined its head.

Just as Kimi was in the water playing around with Noodle and washing up a bit. Kimi thought up of an idea and wanted to see how far deep the river ran since she was just about waist deep. Seeing how the river was clear it would be easy for Kimi to spot anything out of place and get away so she wasn't too worried. Especially since Noodle already dove deep into the water and pulled up some recording crystals. While Hestia asked what she wanted to do Kimi responded with, "I'm going to take a quick dive to see how far down this goes." Kimi then proceeded with Noodle by her side into the water and disappeared from Hestia's sight. As she swam about getting a good look at what was in the water something about it was eerie. She noticed that the fish that were recently in the river went away or rather were not in sight. A little after, Noodle came frantically swimming up from its depths. Upon seeing this Kimi could only assume something bad was happening and she followed suit as well. After Kimi emerged from the water she looked at Hestia and said, "I think there might be something in the deeper ends of the water."  Just as she said that a tentacle wrapped around Kimi's leg and pulled her up as a massive Crystal Octopus emerged out of the depths.

Kimi picked herself up and dusted herself off of whatever stuck on her. She also let out a small, "Eww" As she didn't like the idea of gunky stuff getting on herself. Kimi slowly made her way to the river bed and into the water, surprisingly enough the water was warm for a spring that was underground. As she dunked herself in the water for a quick bit to get some of the dust off of her she looked back at Hestia with her arms behind her head holding up her hair. Kimi unintentionally ended up looking like she was doing a shampoo commercial while she called over Hestia, "Well are you going to join me." Noodle was already out and about in the water swimming deep into it. The river was quite shallow, but deep enough to cover Kimi's midriff. As Noodle came up back to Kimi she saw that he swam down to pick up some recording crystals.

Kimi blushed even more now that she got complemented by Hestia. Out of pure reaction she covered herself with her arms as she felt the heated gaze go over her making her feel a bit vulnerable, but she couldn't say she didn't like it. Surely things like this is something she would have to get used to as her bare skin was more visible to her. Hestia then went on to ask how she looked in return, Kimi didn't notice that Hestia also changed as since when she came to reveal herself she kept her head down in embarrassment. Kimi was at a loss of words as she would normally see Hestia fashioning very heavy armor with a rare few exceptions of her just wearing a jacket. Though this time what stood before her was a someone probably in the same position as her. "You look amazing... I never thought I might see you in a bikini." Kimi blushed as she forced herself to form words, but found it more and more difficult to find the right things to say. "I-I never thought I would get to see you wearing something other than armor and casual clothing." Kimi said with a slightly nervous voice, "Sorry, just seeing you as this makes me lose my voice." She said giving a light nervous giggle. As she said that Noodle jumped into Kimi's arms knocking her down, "Nooooodddllleee. Why did you do that?" Kimi said in a slightly scorning voice, but more relaxed now as he did break the tension Kimi felt trying to complement Hestia. Noodle then dropped two recording crystals onto Kimi's chest. Kimi blushed a little bit as her skin was sensitive since she would normally be in armor or causal clothing.

"I don't like it." Kimi said before pausing for a bit, "I love it!" Kimi glanced to see that the waters had small glowing fish in it and glanced around just to be sure there aren't any other player or monsters nearby before looking back at Hestia. Kimi tried her best to give a seductive smile and said in a voice to match it, "Now no peeking alright?" Kimi pulled Hestia to a nearby rock that was tall enough to prevent Hestia from watching her as she went to the opposite end and quickly swiped through her menu. After Kimi's cloths dissolved and she equipped a fairly simple black bikini with flower patterns on it. Kimi took some time before she returned to Hestia. "So how do I look?" She said with her arms behind her back giving her a full view of herself while she blushed a bit. "I've never worn one before let alone have anyone see me this exposed before."

The duo walked hand in hand making their way causally towards one of the waterfalls. Fortunately enough Hestia already knew of where one of the waterfalls is and they made their way fairly quickly in its direction. Kimi noticed that there were no monsters to fight near then, just an occasional friendly beast that also glowed like its surroundings. After passing a mixture of tall mushrooms, large crystals, and a rocks with moss collecting on it. The couple finally found the waterfall accompanied by a river that flowed down the cave. Kimi gasped in astonishment as the sight was beautiful. She paused for a moment to absorb everything that she was seeing as being that it was a fantasy game she wouldn't run into something like this in real life. Kimi's smile grew a bit more as she started to pull at Hestia excitedly towards the riverbank to take a look into the clear waters that ran through it.

"Yeah..."  She said with a very satisfying sigh. She imagined for a moment how the waterfalls would look like as they would probably also glow with the fascinating light of the cave. Kimi's gaze fell upon more of the cave that they were in, mesmerized by all the different glowing colors and which patterns that was unique to each and everyone of them. Some of the vegetation also pulsated with life as the glow they emitted brightened and darkened like the ticking of a clock. Kimi barely realizing how close she was to Hestia before laying her head on her shoulder for a moment to take this scene in. She looked at Hestia for a brief moment before planting her lips onto hers before turning around swiftly and taking a few steps forward. Kimi looked back for a moment, giggled, and said, "Well come on now. I'd love to see what the waterfalls look like with all of these rainbow of colors lighting them up."

After watching Noodle play with Kuro for a little while and giggling at their dumb games they played and how adorable the two were together Kimi finally stood up. She did a small waist turn for both side stretching before putting her hands together to stretch upwards and saying, "Alright. I'm good to go now." Kimi dusted herself off a bit from the fight earlier as well as the rock she was sitting on. She didn't want to dirty the new cloths that she bought especially since it matched her hair and her new gloves as well. "So now then, wanna go somewhere new?" As Kimi said that a thought came to her mind, "Wait, wait, wait, wait. How about we do something a little more fun." She said with a little bit of mischievousness in her voice. "I heard that there are some waterfalls in this floor and I really want to check it out." Kimi blushed as she looked Hestia in the eyes before saying, "Maybe take a little bath there too." She really meant it as a joke, but she wanted to see how Hestia would react.

Kimi laughed a bit as Hestia thanked her for opening the chest. "Well really I just kicked it to see if it was a mimic." Kimi said laughing a bit harder now that she revealed why she kicked it open. Hestia went on to ask if she was able to handle more monsters and nearly without hesitation she said, "Sure, i'm always happy to test out my gear, but i just need a few minutes before we go looking for another fight." Kimi said with a heavy sigh as she hasn't fully recovered her energy from the fight they just finished. "Shouldn't take long since I have my house buff with me." She continued with a cheerful smile. Kimi sat down by a nearby mossy rock to catch her breath as she still felt her heartbeat pounding a bit still. As she waited she thought of just how unique of a place this was with how easily they can see since nearly everything is glowing.

Kimi laughed at the idea of what the Lizardman said before going to see if there were any more materials around. As she did this Hestia called over to Kimi saying that she found a chest and that she should open it. Kimi was giddy from excitement as she normally didn't opens the chests she finds so getting this one time was very exciting. "OOO I can't wait!" Kimi said, before she went forward to open it she thought for a moment how most of the chests she has dealt with before would sometimes turn into a mimic. With that in mind Kimi hesitated, but still she wanted really badly to open it. After a brief moment of steeling herself Kimi said, "Screw it" and very harshly kicked open the chest in case it was a mimic. "Ohh cool there actually loot!" She said as she put it in her inventory. "There's some pretty cool armor in here too, but nothing I can use. You might hit tier 3 soon Hestia so you can go ahead and have it."

Kimi congradulated Hestia at being able to keep this lizardman from moving practically since the beginning of the fight, "ohh man I pity whatever player messes with us." Kimi said laughing a bit as she looked towards Hestia. "Yeah, its about time we ended this sad sap." She said putting her hands together to stretch a bit for her next attack. "I still don't have enough energy for a sword art, but I can hit it normally. Hopefully that is what will kill this lizard." Kimi casually made her way to the paralyzed lizard and cocked her fist back normally as if she was going to sucker punch someone playfully. Once the hit connected Kimi heard a little wheeze coming from the monster and she swore she heard it say "Thank you." Kimi repeated what the lizard said back to Hestia asking if she heard those words come from the lizard too.

Kimi watched as the banshee faded from sight when her undead minions arrived. Kimi chuckled at the joke Hestia mentioned when she used her Howl ability. "Alrighty then, Just leave the rest to me. I'll get rid of these sacks of bones." Kimi said confidently as she leaped up from behind Hestia and gathered energy to her leg before performing her Tornado Kick technique. The kick connected with each and every one of the sacks of skin and bone that stood before her, during the attack Kimi watched as her leg grew with a bright white light and golden streams as it hit two of the enemies. The others took on a normal hit, but either way all of them crumbled to bits. "Well that was easy." Kimi said as she let down her guard. Kimi patted her leg off from the dustiness of her enemies before saying to Hestia, "So this old woman was different from the one you had?"

"I'll see what I can do Hestia. I'll try focusing them one at a time so that we don't get swarmed." Kimi said adding to the plan. Kimi looked over the side of the boat and said, "Noodle, how about you go for a swim? It's not often we can go into deeper waters with you." Noodle promptly jumped into the water and began swimming happily. It wasn't often that Kimi and Noodle went to a place where there was water for him to swim in. Most of the reason why Kimi choose to have her home in the 8th floor was because there was a massive river for him to swim in, but nothing comfortable like the 4th beginner quests lake. Kimi looked over to Sailor, "We're all ready to go." The NPC just nodded and started managing the dingy. The dock became smaller and smaller as they made their way to the quest.

Kimi stayed in her house pondering how close she was to getting herself to rank 4 performer, "Ahhh... So close just a little bit more and i'm finally going to be where i want."
